Reasonable price without the pressure about the tip, plus friendly staff. The atmosphere of the place is perfect for enjoying fish n chips. I could order kids size of fish n chips, which is only one piece of fish, so could add 3 pieces of shrimp. Every piece was nicely crispy, but just one thing, the taste of cod itself wasn't satisfied to me, who is so used to the taste of NZ snapper. 😩

Solid fish and chips spot at the fisherman's wharf. Ordered the Codmother's combo for $20 to share as a snack between 2 people. Fish was excellent, light, crispy batter. Oily of course. Shrimp were tasty, cooked perfectly. Fries were more like steak cut style. Asked for no added salt and they accommodated. Generous portions. We didn't even finish the fries. Price seemed reasonable. Food took 10-15 mins to make, which is a good sign since it's made to order. Went around 5 pm on a Sunday, no wait. Not busy at all. Decent amount of open outdoor shaded seating. There's a variety of condiments at each table. Parking was surprisingly not very difficult here

Fantastic Fish & Chips. My wife had found this place after doing some research online and we didn’t regret going there for lunch. From the humorous tone of the place, to the tasty food, this “food truck” really delivered. I highly recommend!

Every item we ordered was great. The fish and chips were very different from what you typically get at a bar, crispy and flavorful. The fried shrimp and calamari were cooked to perfection and jumbo in size. We loved everything about it, including the atmosphere.

I googled “best fish & chips in SF” and this place was highly recommended on Reddit! I can see why because the fish was delicious! Fries were okay , clam chowder was good but not the best, but overall the fried fish was delicious! It is a food truck with tables, so more of a laid back environment

One of the more crowded restaurant in the area. Fish is freshly prepared only after the order is made. Fries at also good and comes hot and crispy with the fish. Order takes about 5-7 minutes to be ready but it’s worth the wait. Small area to dine in and a few tables outside also.

I got the combo as i couldn't decide what i wanted. The shrimp were amazing and even though i leave tomorrow, i might try to come back for more. The fish was really good, but personally i like a very light batter. This has just a little too much for me. I'm not marking it down though because i know most people like it this way and the batter was still great tasting. Everything came out piping hot. The location was nice and cozy. Very good!

Fresh and cripsy seafood. We had the Captain’s Platter, Baja Fish Tacos, Fully Loaded Fries, Codmother’s combo. The fries lived up to the name and were loaded. Everything was incredibly crispy and moist. Service was welcoming and professional. Since it was outside seating only I wish there was a bit more cover for the wind as it gets a bit cold later into the day.

I had the fish taco and I’ll give it a 5*. Really tasty and fish cooked to perfection. My wife had cod and chips. It’s two pieces and the first piece was a good size and cooked to perfection, but the second piece was a bit small with hardly any fish in the Parcel and as such was overcooked and dry. The chips (fries) were excellent as was the coleslaw which my wife said was to die for. It was extremely busy with both locals and tourists which is a good sign. Just a shame about some of the fish otherwise this really would have a 5*

I must say that this is a decent place to get fish and chips and clam chowder. Very friendly dude in the food stand taking orders and sheltered park benches for families are available. 1. The fish and chips have a very crispy batter and the fish is decently moist and tasty 2. Fries were generous and crisp 3. Calamari was very well done with a thin batter and tender pieces of squid 4. The clam chowder was surprisingly good with enough ingredients and texture to make it a meal by itself. You have a choice of a bread or cup bowl Will a bill of USD $60, it would equate to a meal in a regular restaurant so I would not say it’s cheap. However the portion size and taste made up for it. I only ate here as my hotel is just next to it.

As an Englishman from a seaside town, I ought to know what good fish & chips are like and unfortunately, this place is some way off the mark. The food I was served was poor - hard, dry overcooked chips accompanied by so-so fish with chewy batter. Sadly the service was worse... Feels like visiting time at the local penitentiary with plexiglass and interaction via a microphone and speaker. Detached and soulless, yet still expecting a tip. You deserve better folks.
