Opinions de Spiazzo San Francisco
My husband had come years ago and loved the food and I loved it and my family loved it. The Rosa sauce was delicious
I was in Italy 3 months ago, and my meal here was on par with the authentic cuisine I had overseas. We got the burrata with fig and prosciutto anti pasto, and selected 2 dinner special items, followed by a dreamy, cloud like tiramisu. A glass of the Pecorino white paired perfectly with our courses. An exceptional dinner that i would recommend anyone to go try for themselves!
A neighborhood favorite, always busy and lively. We had no reservations and were seated right away on a Friday evening. Service was pleasant (a bit rushed, but flawless), food was appealing and the taste was good. We tried salmon penne & capellini with added chicken picatta on top. Both were delicious and well prepared. Parking is a bit tricky during the weekend, and the street itself is noisy because of the street cars, but inside has a pleasant ambience.
Great service and very good food. Noise level is high so beware if you're looking for something more relaxed and quiet. Prices are extremely reasonable for the quality and quantity of food provided, making this place a great value if you're on a budget. There is no children's menu, but do you really need one? Pizza and pasta! We'll be back.
Food was good. I had the grilled veggies as a starter (no pics), finished with the lamb shank, friends ordered the risotto and shrimp & scallop pasta. Everything was very good
Quiet and friendly - with absolutely delicious 😋 food! We had the Pear and Gorgonzola salad and then Chicken Marsala and the Steelhead Salmon Trout. Amazing! The vegetables were perfectly cooked! We love good food. Great wine list by bottle and half bottle.
A gem of a place with beautifully prepared and delicious Italian food of high quality. We had the calamari served with a spicy tomato sauce that enhanced this dish well. The brushetta was nicely presented and quite good. We shared a tasty pizza with a crusty thin crust topped with artichoke hearts, mushrooms, peppers, and prosciutto. For the main courses we had salmon, petrale sole, lamb shank, roast free range chicken, and veal parmigiana. Each dish was nicely plated with colorful vegetables and side dishes. We shared the famous cheesecake, tiramisu, and cannoli for dessert and each was split for sharing and brought joy to our group. If you are in the area this is the place to go for excellent food and service.
we did a quick search for italian food outside of SF on our drive south because we wanted to get out of the city. we were so glad we picked this location because the taste of our dishes were on point. i really enjoyed the lasagna with the cheesy sauce all over the plate. i'd suggest stopping by here as the street is also very walkable with some nice small shops to visit.
The food is always seasoned to perfection, with the sides (sauteed spinach and sauteed mixed veggies) nicely complimenting the main entree. The bread is always delicately tasty. Not shown: Insalata Mista. You can't go wrong dining in or ordering takeout. Spiazzo is one of my fave places to dine and well worth the money spent!
High quality Italian restaurant. The food is amazing, in the photo I ordered the spaghetti calabrese, followed by a New York Cheese cake. Also could eat the noodles alone of how flavorful it is. The picture with the sauce and the bread, well I said high quality. This is whats served initially when sitting down. I also was served a double shot of espresso which I recommend. This is a place I would recommend going on a date to, or family dinners. With many of the premium wines they have in stock with also your typical pinot noir & cabernet sauvignon. I have come to this location countless of times with either Taylor or Allie being my waitresses and have enjoyed their humbling effort of giving me the best experience for a good relaxing dinner. Thank you for the delicious meal!
This Italian restaurant is definitely authentic 👍 The host and everyone were very welcoming. Tried the pollo al parmegano, spinach Ravioli, the chicken alfredo and the pepperoni pizza. I should have listened to the host to not eat all the bread starter but I could not resist the sauce that they serve with the bread was addicting 😅 Gratzi Spiazzo staff! I will be back here for the food on my next visit to SF !!

We went there for my wife's birthday with my kids who live in SF, and i was truly amazed how good everything was. The staff was super nice and very professional and the food (lamb, ravioli, risotto) and the food was lovely. I highly recommend this place if you want good Italian food.
Spiazzo's is the kind of restaurant that deserves all of the accolades. We planned our daughter's birthday dinner here and they were flexible and accommodating with our large party. The food was amazing and everyone that worked there were so kind. We live in the neighborhood and have been there on occasion but by far they are the best kind of business we would always support. Not only do they add to our community they are representative of what our community is like.
This is my favorite restaurant. Great ambiance, service is excellent , food is exceptionally delicious and all fresh, and the price is resonable. The homemade fresh bread is to die for. You will not be disappointed!
Thank you! We visited my 90 year old uncle in May. He has a walker and the staff was most accommodating and kind. The mushroom and pesto bruschetta is almost worth the flight alone from Chicago. Unfortunately he has since just passed away, but honestly, the dinner and evening we spent in your restaurant meant so much to all of us. Thank you.

The restaurant was nice but a bit small, there for felt a little cramped with our large group. However, where it lacked in size it made up for in service and most definitely the food. The food was amazing. We had the calamari appetizer followed with 2 types of pizza, spaghetti and meatballs and ravioli everything was delicious.
Really great neighborhood Italian restaurant, I could not recommend more. We had the minestrone, Caesar, lamb leg special, and tiramisu - all amazing and the lamb and tiramisu were really impressive. Lighting is a bit nauseating though.
A close friend recommended this place. It was okay. We had the ravioli and the portofino with scallops and giant prawns. We also got the bruschetta which was a little weird the way it was presented (check out the photo) The restaurant was empty at first but quickly filled up. Ended up talking to a retired priest at a nearby table who was there alone. He was very pleasant to converse with and goes there once a week.
Food was served warm and service was good. Pasta dishes are very good as well as the portions. Good selection of wines and charges $18 for corkage. It's worth it if you have other people who drinks wine too. Friendly staff.

I’ve been coming here every time I’m in town, always EXCELLENT, but this last time (Aug, 22, 25) all the dishes and appetizers we got were TASTELESS, even the Tiramisu that was excellent was now TOO SWEET. WHAT HAPPENED!!??
The host started the experience out with a friendly interaction. We really liked the host. It was also a beautiful day out and we were excited to enjoy some Italian cuisine. Now the review sadly is all negative. I ordered what was the worst and most gummy Chicken Parmesan I’ve ever had. The sauce was somewhere between the liquid from a canned of crushed tomatoes and ketchup. It was particularly sad as I haven’t had a Chicken Parmesan in awhile and I was so excited. The veggies that came with the dish were either over cooked or undercooked. All a bummer. The rosé my partner ordered was a house rosé that she said tasted like boxed wine reminiscent to her Franzia college days. She ordered spaghetti vongole and while the clams were well cleaned and cooked they didn’t taste fresh and the pasta itself had no flavor. She only ate two clams with the second one being to confirm that something wasn’t right with the first one. Left a good tip because the service was good, but the food was awful. Even the bread was stale. We will not return. We did let them know about the food, and they offered to give us more bad food. Update: my partner ended up being sick. So that’s a positive on the clams not being quite right.
