Opinions de Yoma Cafe San Francisco
I absolutely loved this place. We were hanging out in Golden Gate Park and got hungry, and this was the nearest place that popped up in our radar, and we are so grateful that I did. We went on a Sunday noon for lunch, and it was fully packed. Thankfully, you were able to get a seat in no time. The place is tiny and absolutely cracked, but I think that is what makes this place special. The menu is mostly street style and everyday Japanese fair. You can place your order through the kiosk or at the counter. I got the Bainter box and some sides with it, and my friend got the sushi burrito. The food came within 10 minutes and was piping hot. The portions are insane, and I definitely had over ordered. I had to take away the leftovers. The Test was absolutely spot on, and everything was fresh and delicious. They also came around and gave everybody a free bowl of me so soup, which was such a amazing touch. What stood out for me was the hospitality. The hostess had learnt My name and she addressed me by that name when she came around to give my order as well as in other interactions. I definitely recommend this place to everyone, and I will also bring my friends here.
Absolutely incredible food. Insanely fresh fish, their Boba is out of this world. The fried pot stickers are some of the best I’ve ever had. Reasonable prices, amazing food, highly recommend.
I had an amazing time when I ate at this place. The service was amazing! And the people were so nice :) thank you so much for a spectacular dinner and a splendid experience with their exquisite boba. This is definitely a place worth visiting in the Bay Area. One of a kind!
YO-YO is the GOAT. Every time I come here for some quality Japanese schmack, I see her crankin out food left and right, on the grind 24/7. Takes a bit longer when there’s a long list of orders, but she hooks us up with the miso soup and brown sugar boba… on the house. Prices are the best I’ve seen outside of Japan, and quantity/quality does NOT disappoint. Menu is packed with all your Japanese (food) fantasies. Only complaint is that this hole-in-the-wall gem isn’t right next door. Show Yo-yo some luv! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
You definitely do not need to go to Japan to have Japanese service level! Yoyo is attentive, welcoming and detail oriented. And did I mention the food is delicious? You won't find a better deal in town for the quality or the quantity they serve here! Don't get fooled by the simplicity of the establishment, their fish is fresh, delicious and well served! I'm on a mission to try out all their dishes, and I still need to find one that disappoints! They have a huge selection of dishes, so take your time looking through it, you are sure to find something new and appetizing. Although they only have a few tables for groups, there are multiple counter sits, so it's great for an individual meal.
Yoma Cafe brings joy. This has become my favorite sushi place in San Francisco. While this restaurant is tiny, it punches way above its weight. The quality of the fish is the best I have had since moving to the city in February. Yoma offers buy 1 get 1 Gyoza so your Large 10 pcs becomes 20 Gyoza! Wow. The fried gyoza is served with a sweet and sour sauce and is an excellent starting point for your meal. The Miso soup is on point, the perfect blend of savory and satisfying. The food is as good as it looks. I ordered the Double Hamachi Roll and the Double Salmon Roll. Both far exceeded my expectations. The spicy tuna roll is also a 2 for 1 offering and spicy hot and flavorful. Pork Katsu Bento is just as good. Spring rolls were delicious. Yoma Cafe is a wonderful experience and I recommend it with my heart and stomach. Enjoy!
Stumbled upon this little local Japanese food spot after a visit to Golden Gate Park, and I’m so glad I did! Yoma Café is a small, women-owned business with warm and welcoming hospitality. The space is cozy, clean, and inviting. I ordered a sushi burrito with salmon and tuna, and was blown away by the fresh flavors and generous filling, especially at such a reasonable price. It was light, satisfying, and full of quality ingredients. I wish I had time to try more from the menu, but that’ll have to wait until next time. If you’re in the neighborhood and looking for something fresh, flavorful, and budget-friendly while supporting a local gem, I highly recommend stopping by Yoma Café. Visited twice on my short stay and tried the chirashi bowl, and hand rolls. Highly recommend both, especially the unagi hand roll which melts in your mouth!!! The portion sizes are generous and so is the owner yoma and her staff. They were so generous and friendly.
Staff is super friendly and loves to discuss sushi! Homemade soy sauce is very tasty! Yoma has a great vibe and is is a solid value! Highly recommend Yoma!
Don’t doubt it!!! The atmosphere was very nice. Service was AMAZING very kind lady. The lady that helped us was VERY attentive & helpful with all our questions☺️☺️ The cooks were also very nice! Food & drinks were great, over all great experience✨ Definitely coming back:)
We came here based on a recommendation from my daughter. We had a great meal here as a family. Great food and very friendly service. I’ll definitely be coming back next time I’m in town.
Great neighborhood option if you are looking for a no frills value option. Food is not Michelin 5 stars but it is solid and you get a lot of it. (Their BOGO options are great options.) Service is outstanding. They have a gluten free popcorn chicken which made the husband incredibly happy. Take note that they are not a gluten free facility so I would not recommend if you are celiac. Street parking. They were pretty busy with to go orders, with a few dine in folks. There are a few tables inside but it is not for big groups.
The service and food at Yoma Cafe place was outstanding! I had the chicken bento box and brown sugar boba. The food was savory and delicious! It was my first time here and the owner made me feel very welcome both via the help selecting on the menu and also via the exceptional service! A bit of background: I arrived on this hidden gem when I was doing the 16 miles SF cross-town trail. So, I was so tired and hungry. After 10 miles, I wanted to end the hike and I was feeling down. I did a quick google search and this place popped up. I went in there and I was amazed by how nice everything was. I had so much of positive dining experience that I decided to continue the hike right after! 6 more miles! 100% recommend! God bless this establishment!
We really enjoyed eating here! The service is wonderful and the food is very reasonably priced. I loved the Unagi, it melts in the mouth and has a delicious flavor. The tuna was wonderful as well. We will be coming back again!
I search for places like this. A nice , quiet place for lunch. The food is exceptional and really quite cheap for what your getting. Top notch quality in a chill little spot .
I ordered the seared hamachi bowl and it was delicious. I tried some popcorn chicken and it was yummy as well. The owner was friendly and treated us a roll and a Thai tea on the house!
I’ve never had a sushi burrito before, what an interesting concept! Realistically this was more of a 4.5/5 for me but I decided to round up to help their ratings, it’s really large portions so great value for money, I couldn’t finish the combo meal - the guy who works there is quite nice, he tried to help me decipher their menu which is a little overwhelming and complicated when you first look at it. Small cute spot, has dine in seating :)

We ordered the BOGO 6pc California rolls + the 6pc California rolls with tuna and salmon (yes, 18 California rolls total...) They started us off with miso soup which was pretty good, and I personally am not fond of miso soup. Food came out quickly and the California rolls were great. Salmon was delicious and fresh-tasting, but the tuna was a bit tough/chewy. Kiosk was card only (no Apply Pay). Store itself was quite small and intimate, around three small tables and a two person booth seating area

Fantastic little find. Yoyo is one of the kindest and exceptional host and owner. Sushi was delicious 😋 🍣

The service is amazing. YoYo is great and really makes you feel welcomed when you walk in. If you have questions about the menu, she will always answer them and give great recommendations. The food couldn’t taste any better and the Boba drinks are perfect. I highly recommend trying Yoma Cafe!!
Amazing!! The food was outstanding. We were pleasantly surprised by so many buy one, get one free deal. The portions were fantastic. They have board games available and it’s such a cozy atmosphere. It’s located so close to Golden Gate Park & their takeout would be so good for a picnic!!
Everyone in our family loved the food (including our picky toddlers)! We recommend getting food to go if you have little kids. We ordered several different things and loved every single thing. Our kids were huge fans of the chicken, salmon, and seaweed salad in particular. Bathroom was clean. No complaints! We can't wait to eat there again soon.

A cute, compact Japanese spot with a large menu sure to meet every customer’s tastes. Good prices and large serving sizes… I love this little hole in the wall! The staff are so friendly and attentive and the food was fresh. Loved it!
Overall was really good. The food was tasty and fairly priced. Sushi/fish was fresh. We got bento boxes with tonkatsu, chicken katsu, spicy tuna (comes as a mound of it on top of nori lol), veg/shrimp tempura, California rolls, etc. Also got popcorn chicken, dragon roll, and rainbow roll. The menu was a little chaotic and confusing. Service was a little erratic, our food items came to us at various times, but the lady was very nice…it did seem a little busy. They probably need more help in the kitchen. The place was small, so not great for a big group. Would come again though.
Very nice place that gives you quantity but the quality suffers a bit. We ordered a bento box for $15.49 with tempura and a bowl for $12.99 with tonkatsu. The quantity was substantial and service was excellent and we also got free bowls of miso soup which was super nice! The only miss was the tempura which just wasn’t crispy as it should be. They were generous with lots of veggies and 4 pieces of shrimp, if we could give a rating of 4.5 we would!!! Bathroom is very neat and clean!
