This is my second time here. I really love this Japanese barbecue place. The meat is top - notch, and the decor has that Tokyo vibe. I'm gonna keep coming back!

Great service, GREAT FOOD, even at the lowest option it was still a delight to eat here. A little pricey to come here regularly, but man is that food tasty.

If I could give a 10 out of 5 stars I would. I came here with a group of friends for my birthday and it was the best birthday experience ever. Tim, the manager, is the best ever in making our experience very memorable. They even sang me happy birthday with loud music on the speakers which was so funny, I loved it. I highly recommend coming here to have a really fun and tasty time.

Love the vibe! Feels like I’m in Japan even though I’ve never been there. Everyone is so nice and the food is so good! I can’t wait to come back!

Just like being transported to Japan. Meat selection is excellent as it included wagyu meat. Good selection of appetizers too. There were a couple of missed orders when we dined here.

The food is really good for the 30$ overnight menu. There are beef, pork, chicken, ramen, rice…and punch of side dishes. You also can get a bottle of beer for $1. Great place to hang out at night!!! Highly recommended!!

Hibiki BBQ in San Gabriel delivers an elevated take on authentic Japanese BBQ, blending the sleek, modern design inspired by Japanese train stations with the communal spirit of yakiniku—where grilling premium meats is meant to be shared and savored together🫶🏼 We experienced their Supreme Dining Experience, featuring abalone and world-class wagyu, including ultra-luxurious A5-grade beef alongside other premium cuts. Grilled tableside, each bite was incredibly tender, rich, and full of deep beefy flavor. What truly sets Hibiki BBQ apart are the special house seasonings and dipping sauces, thoughtfully crafted to enhance the natural taste of the meat—ranging from savory and umami-forward to subtly sweet, letting each cut shine without overpowering it. The meal was rounded out with a stellar lineup of sides and small plates: crisp pickled cucumber for a refreshing contrast, silky salmon sashimi, satisfying hand rolls, and an unforgettable wagyu fried rice packed with bold flavor and perfectly finished🥰 For a refined yet social Japanese BBQ experience centered around exceptional quality and thoughtful details, Hibiki BBQ is a must-visit in the SGV.

My new spot for AYCE! Price for premium(low tier) was $50 a person on a Saturday night. Been to several KBBQ spots in last 3 months and tried a lot of new places but this one definitely one I would return to for a consistent delicious meal. Definitely recommend you come and try it your. It is smaller than you think from the IG clips you see online.

Place is great and awesome experience! I loved it. Came with a group of 4 ppl. Love the atmosphere and music. Staff were very nice. You will be mostly using the iPad to order your food. There were two prices for the menu $49 and $79(?) we pick the lowest tier and it was still a lot of options. Recommendation order 4 types of meat and order 2x of the same meat. If you order all of it gets confusing. Go in order 4 meats at a time and try everything. Highly recommend will be coming back. Thank you.

My family of nine came for lunch today and had an awesome time at Hibiki Grill. The Japanese train‑style décor is super fun — it really feels like you’re dining on a cool little railway car. The staff were incredibly friendly and handled our big group like pros. The food was great too. The Japanese BBQ hit the spot, the beef tongue was surprisingly tender, and the sashimi and small hand rolls were way better than expected from a BBQ place. Everything tasted fresh and well‑made. Fun vibe, great service, solid food — we’ll definitely be back.

We came here today for an early Valentine Day lunch. All of the cuts were the bomb! I've never experienced this anywhere, where you can pay to get unlimited wagyu cuts! Maggie was also so AMAZING! She was so patient and sweet! Can't wait to come back, and thank you for an amazing first experience! Oh! And the decor was super cool too! And the price was totally worth it for the service, the ambience, and quality of meats.

Loved this place! The meat here is top quality — super fresh, tender, and packed with flavor. The wagyu was especially amazing. Service was great too. The staff was friendly, helpful, and made sure we were taken care of the whole time. Fun atmosphere, great food, and overall a really nice dining experience. Would definitely come back!

Clean and cute Japanese train theme. We went around lunchtime, about four tables taken. Food was good, with quality meats and other ingredients. Service was attentive. And the decor was fun. Definitely on the pricier side and we got the lowest priced, the premium level. They have two more higher levels available. No drinks were included. 70 minute limit, after that the iPad cuts you off from entering more items.

This is my second experience with Japanese bbq (my first and only being Gyu before this) and I couldn't ask for better! First off, the interior design is super cool and resembles a Japanese subway station. The grills have the vents directly over them which make them almost smokeless which you and your clothes will thank them for!! I also LOVE when a AYCE bbq place uses wire grills for their meats vs. the steel ones, so another point to Hibiki for that! I hope to find more Japanese bbq experience especially after this one because the meat quality is higher. There are a ton of Wagyu options within any of the levels of AYCE you get. Another thing I really liked was when I ordered premium cuts, the server brought out these infused salts and told us that the meat flavors would be brought out with them and told us to choose three to try. We got a spoonful of each and the most memorable was the wasabi one. The time we went was at noon and there was only one server and another person in the back, so service was not superb, but I understand why and it’s not a big deal to me!! Overall, it's not a cheap nor expensive. I'd come back to celebrate someone or a special event. It's also a place I think would make kids or anime fans feel very immersed in.

Hibiki BBQ was such a fun and unique dining experience. The entire restaurant is designed like a Japanese train station, and the attention to detail really makes you feel transported. The A5 Wagyu was incredibly fresh and melted like butter, and all the cuts we tried were top quality. We also loved the variety of salts they bring out — the truffle salt was my favorite. The appetizers and sushi were delicious, and the service was so kind, with our server cooking the first meats perfectly for us. Definitely a great spot for anyone who loves yakiniku and high-quality Wagyu.

We knew of this place from various social media sites and wanted to try it. When we arrived, there were not many people so we were seated right away. The service started off slow, but improved as we began ordering and eating. The food was good, but we had to remind ourselves this was JBBQ, not KBBQ as there are some slight differences. It is a little pricey, but that seems to be the trend with BBQ restaurants now-a-days.

⭐️ A Fairly New Japanese BBQ Spot in San Gabriel! ⭐️ 📍 Located on Valley Blvd inside “Sunny Plaza”, right next to LuDingJi Noodle House and across the street from San Gabriel Superstore. The plaza has about 10–15 spots up front, more in the back, and even an underground parking structure — plenty of spaces overall 🙌 I actually found this place through social media — the videos made the décor and meat quality look 🔥 so I decided to come check it out myself. When I walked in, the restaurant wasn’t as big as it looked in the promo clips, but it was still clean, cozy, and comfy inside. Service was awesome — my server was super friendly and helpful. It wasn’t too busy on a Wednesday night, so no wait time at all. They offer 2 AYCE options: 🥩 Premium and 🥩 Supreme — we went with Premium since it already had plenty of meat choices. The quality was solid, and their wasabi squid and steamed egg were surprisingly good! Definitely worth trying as appetizers. Costs tend to be in the upper range but I feel like it should be more in the $30 range for Premium and 40 range for Supreme. ✨ Overall, I’d give this place a solid 4.2⭐️ — clean spot, good quality meats, friendly service, and chill vibes. If you’re in the area and craving Japanese BBQ, this place is worth a visit! 😋

Hibiki Japanese BBQ was okay overall. The food was decent but a bit expensive for what you get. The staff were friendly and the place has a cool, modern vibe that definitely reminds me of Japan.

I'll keep it at 2.5 stars for now due to some issues during our visit. We will go back again as I think it could be better Went on a Sunday around 5pm and the wait wasn't bad at all. But as 6pm approached, you can see the crowd gather outside. The place isn't huge so seating is definitely limited. Parking was relatively as we just went underground. Some issues we had when we arrived, the premium option was sold out for the day. Seemed early in the night to be out of your "supreme" option. We had already put in our first order with that menu using the iPad before some minutes later, that "supreme" option was not available so we had to start over on the normal menu. Unfortunately the timer didn't restart from what I noticed, so our last call came up faster due to lost time with first order. It wasn't a deal breaker since the food came out quickly, but I wish they had notified us of "last call" they did accommodate us when we told them we wanted to put in our last order Eating time, you get 90minutes total, but last call is at 70 minutes. No "dessert" items. Feel like it's a bit shorter than some others. When you waitlist you can put in notes like "birthday, anniversary, etc." Not sure what the point of it is, as we came for a birthday, but there was nothing that came of it. You can order up to a combined 8 items per order using the iPad. Problems with our grill, felt like it only got heat in the center. Even if you turn up the heat, nothing aside from the direct center would cook. Felt like a limited cooking/grilling area relative to the size of the grill. From the standard menu, meats were of good quality. Personal favorite was the tongue. Brisket, an others were great as well. Don't get the bone-in "Galbi". It's frozen and mostly fat. Staff was great, very friendly and helpful. Love the Japanese train station theme. Prices are fair, and great price for a pitcher of beer Wish we could've tried the supreme option since we were celebrating. will have to try again next time.

I watched my server Irene sneeze into her gloved hand, rinse it off with water (no soap), and continue working like nothing happened. We left immediately after. I saw this place on Tiktok, and I came based on looks. The atmosphere is nice, there's clearly a lot of intention and thought that went into the design. The menu price for superior is $80 but somehow my bill came out to $200 for two people and no drinks/extras ordered. For the superior menu you're given access to Wagyu items. At best I would call them A2 wagyu, which isn't terrible. You get one A5 piece that is paper thin. The meats are unseasoned and at most will have togarashi sprinkled on top (which is a soup spice and can't develop flavor in the time it takes to walk the meat to your table). Many of the meats were clearly frozen just moments before being brough out (like the bone in short rib), and the plates of meats were stacked so the plate was touching the meat instead of resting above. The sauces they provide at the table are bland, and the salt tastes like ranch seasoning. Even though its AYCE, I left hungry because the meats just weren't that tasty and I felt ripped off. The cherry on top that told me get out ASAP was watching our server sneeze into her glove and rinse it in water instead of changing it.
