Very healthy menu! Love their soup! It’s full of ingredients and the complimentary iced tea is also very nice 👍🏻
4.5 with rounding. The rice pot definitely high level, the best I ever had. And they sell herb tea and Chinese dessert!! I really enjoy it. :) price for dessert could be expensive but I feel like it’s not cheap stuff so yes. Come try the rice pot!
I’m so happy I found this Cantonese place with the perfect authentic herbal steaming soups that taste like home. It may be hard for people who hasn’t tried it before because of the herbal flavors, but it’s the best for your body!!! I will be coming here a lot! :)
Highlights: Really great food, servers are nice and respectful, good price for the amount of food, cool dishes and cool green chopsticks Detailed review: Never been here until last week and what a great food find the place looked like a restaurant in NYC or somewhere else that didn't have that LA look which in my opinion was refreshing Food: I got the rice and pork ribs with sausage in a cool clay pot that Ive never seen before. The rice was really flavorful and fluffy and soft . The ribs were nice a tender with some mildy sweet sauce. And the best part was the sliced sausage it was delicious and savory I wish it came with a little bit more but the amount of food was enough for me to be satisfied and full. They also give you some herbal tea instead of water which I liked cause it was different then having soda or plain water, the water was well purified and didn't taste like LA tap water. Service: Servers were nice and friendly my order did take a bit to arrive but I don't mind because it's not a common dish to make and the business looks like a mom and pop restaurant so please be patient with food and the employees don't expect fast food time at a sit down restaurant. Price: I think the price for the meal and the service is within its price and not a wallet breaker unless you get more than one dish. One dish of the order I got can probably feed two average people I'm a big dude and it satisfied me Thank you for reading my review I hope you get to read more ✌️😶🌫️
One of the best and OG spot for authentic Cantonese hot clay rice pot and traditional herbal soup places. They have been there like over 20+ years. I always order their chicken wings and stick combo (chicken/beef) to go with my favorite clay rice pot. Their clay port rice menu is very extensive, and you got to try out their herbal tea. This place is much cleaner now after the remodeling. Quick tips: This place is very small with a small parking lot as well. However, the parking lot is connected to the Lux Tea Lounge right next door. Don’t expect the cray rice pot to come out quick and all your foods will come out at the same time. It will take some time for the clay rice pot to get prepared. Just be patient and chill with the chicken wings (must order item and thanks me after) lol.
Hot clay pot dishes are tasty. Got the #1 on the lunch menu. $5.95 or so? Great Got one w fish and spicy sauce too. They take a while bc I’m sure these are made to order. They had run out of the fried large dumplings. Next time! Parked in the back lot.
My favorite place to go to for clay pot rice! Spare ribs clay pot is my go-to. The chicken wings are good too. Very crispy.
A strong contender for best claypot rice in town. They have lunch special clay pots that are smaller in portion (but still cooked with lots of love) compared to their dinner counter parts. Their sauce is a weird oyster sauce blend, unfortunately, instead of being a sugar+soy sauce+white pepper mix.
Tiny and intimate eatery! My friend visited me from Seattle and she was deeply in love with the food! Service was awesome too! Will come back here for more unique desserts.

I come here for their claypot rice and herbal jelly. Always hits the spot when I want comfort food.

Very Special Clay Pot Rice, the original taste with the specially designed pot. There are crispy rice as well as the special soy sauce to make the dishes really delicious. The curry beef is also great as there would be curry sauce to be poured onto the rice. Even the packing box for to-go order also has the same taste with some additional given crispy rice. Some special desserts are offered as well as the soups. Also, some herbal tea is bitter enough. Pay attention to it. Do remember to check the prices of vegetables. The store is small while it might take a long time to wait for the clay pot rice. Leave enough time for it.
If you are looking for traditional Chinese herbal soups, then you have come to the right place. There are a number of soups that you can choose from. Keep in mind that these soups have specific herbal properties so you would want to be conscious of your choices. The soups arrive hot with ingredients that you can see. Beyond the soup, the clay pot rice is satisfying, though the rice in mine wasn't very cooked through and the part that is supposed to be slightly burnt, wasn't so in mine. Nonetheless, this is a good place for soup and comfort clay pot rice.
My new favorite spot for authentic clay pot rice dishes. Absolutely fantastic little gem in San Gabriel valley. Authentic Hong Kong style clay pot rice dishes and herbal steam soups. Ribs and preserved sausage, cured pork sausage with taro, and frog herb (Wei Kei) steam soup, all good eats.
Not a bad spot for clay rice pot. I've driven by this restaurant for so many years without realizing what they served here. I came to know the name thanks to the sisters from HangryDiary when they mentioned this restaurant is their favorite for rice pot. Hailing from Hong Kong, I love all types of clay rice pots, especially the crispy rice on the bottom. So going into Nature Pagoda, I had high expectations as to their taste. I came here alone on a Monday afternoon and it was very quiet. There were only 2 other tables occupied by groups but the workers had a lot of time on their hands. I ordered their lunch portion preserved meat rice pot, which also came with a small soup. I don't know the exact name but it tasted a lot like chicken soup with winter melon but I could be wrong. Once the pot came out, I waited a couple minutes before digging in because I wanted the rice at the bottom to get even crisipier so that I can struggle and dig for it at the end of the meal. Overall taste was just okay; the soy sauce they provided was more on the salty side and not sweet enough. Soy sauce for this dish needs to be dark and sweet in order to fully enjoy it. The amount of meat was less than abundant but then again, it was a lunch portion. The part I was longing for was a disappointment though. Not enough crispy rice at the end but there still was some so enjoy at least, which is why I gave this place a four. I honestly believe I would come back and try other dishes in the future but I'll just stick to a different restaurant for my clay rice pots because I get a lot more crispy rice.
First time ate here, referred by my friends. It's hard to find parking to have a meal here, their parking lot is so small so be ready for a longer walk and park somewhere further. Long waiting time if you come here during busy hours. The place is small, only few tables setting but their food are tasty, prices are pretty decent and customer service was great
Delicious meal. The rice on the bottom of the clay pot was perfectly crisped up. Small, unassuming space. Service can be a bit slow, but still very worth the visit.

Canto Clay Pot, Herbal Medicinal Soups, and drinks. I think the quality has decreased over time. Maybe not enough eaters know how to eat for healthy anymore like back in the days? I visited this restaurant a very very long time ago for turtle soup. Supposedly the best turtle soup back back back in the day. So wished I could like this place for it's herbal and medicinal dishes. The SO came back from a hardcore camping trip with some wheezing, snoring, etc. It's not covid. I wanted replenishing, anti inflammatory ingredients that could help cool down, heal but still nourish the body. Prices for medicinal type of food and drinks cost more due to many times prices of ingredients to how long it takes to cook a soup. S2. Ginseng with Black Chicken Soups for Health (花旗參炖烏雞 Sam Hoa Ky ham gaac Canh Duong Sinh) $15.99. :( Pretty small in size and looks like leftovers of black chicken. But guess I can't be picky since it's a pretty expensive dish normally, and not made at menu places? Or maybe it's better to dine-in for some of these dishes? - I was stuck picking between ginseng or cordyceps flower. A quick google search showed ginseng replenishes (immunity, memory, support stress response) and cordyceps being increased stamina/boosting (lungs, kidneys, liver, intestinal). Easy choice for me to pick ginseng just as an overall booster. Dessert could help with the lungs instead. We also don't have any blood thinning issues so either would be fine for us. Clay Pots -- Add $3.25 for Egg, Sausage, Taro, or bamboo. H 17. COMBO CLAYPOT RICE (beef, chicken, Chinese sausage, vegetables). $15.99 - I chose the above vs H4. Chicken with Lily Flower & Fungus Clay Pot Rice, comes spicy $14.99. I'll have to try this next time. D10. Steamed Pear with White Fungus Dessert (川貝銀耳炖雪梨 Xuyen boi chung le) $7.50 Can be drank hot or cold. I like it cold. My mom would not approve that though. This came in a pretty small half or 1/4 size styrofoam bowl. This was okay. I'm glad it wasn't overly sweet but it was still sweeter than what I expected for an herbal medicinal place. T7. Cough Drink Tra xuyen boi lo. $7.50 Can be drank cold or hot. It's bitter. I've drank it before. It tastes a bit like water down black medicine.
This is the worst claypot rice I have had the meat were ok, but the rice wasn’t even crispy it was clear that they rushed the cooking just so they can serve more customers quickly. The steam milk and egg was the best part of the meal.

Rude!! Ridiculous service!! Came here at 4:15pm on a Monday. Quite and empty. I don't think the gentleman at the front can speak, no greeting just pointed at the table told us to seat down. When taking order he didn't even say a word. Actually during the whole time he didn't opened his mouth to speak at all. More people came in and he still refused to talk. (Heard him talking to other employees in the kitchen) Not coming back again because of his service!!!

I don’t think this is coincidence, after I paid with my phone Google pay, then I got so many scam calls within the next hour (evening time), I’ve never got so many scam calls within 1 hour, and they called multiple times, using different/same number. Their payment system definitely is link to scammers or being hacked. Now I have to watch out my credit card to see if I got extra charges in the future. About the food, I order taro dessert, that is the worst I’ve ever eaten. BIG NO FOR THIS BUSINESS.
Do not go here if you want to be treated like trash. Walked in, saw no customer and only two waitresses sitting there chatting. Didn’t even get up just looked at me. I asked politely “are you guys open still?” And one of the ladies scoffed and rolled her eyes at me, “do you think you can walk in if we weren’t open?” Good luck staying in business with that trashy attitude towards a stranger and in the service industry. Lol
