LITERALLY THE BEST PIZZA PLACE EVER! Staff is wonderfully nice, I've been going here for at least 12 years now and Amato Pizzeria is extremely underrated. Everyone try it out and spread the word. The only thing bad about this place is that they took away my favorite arcade games. The crane games aren't even rigged either! Iwon a 49ers ball the first time I played and it's just a great experience for family and friends. They also have tv's on every side so you don't have to turn every time you want to look at the screen. Pizza tastes incredibly good and everything is amazing; the cheese, toppings, and even the crust. Wonderful place to spend your time at. And it definitely was worth writing a review this long. Definitely my favorite food EVER. When I get famous I’m for sure shouting this place out

My family and I have always celebrated different occasions at Amato's, and every time we were met with excellent service. The food quality is always good, and I highly recommend their veggie pizzas, buffalo chicken wings, and potato skins.

Friendly, neighborhood feel. The pizzas are really good, I got one with spicy pizza sauce. Limited dessert options. There was a tablet at cashier where I signed up for the rewards program and got $5 off on the spot, plus getting rewards for other local restaurants.

Food was good. Pizza is good. Not great, but good. Cold draught beer tho!

Absolute favorite pizza place in town. We have been going to Amato since they opened in 2003. Awesome, family-friendly atmosphere. Great pizza. Very clean, and the owners are super. Highly recommend!

My wife and I have been regulars at Amato pizzeria for years now. Being vegetarians the choices at most pizza places is maybe 1 or 2. But here there is a selection of 7 veggie options. On top of that the pizza is fantastic! Mouthwatering! I am already saliviating while writing this review. Our personal favorite is a Xtra large half spicy veggie and half pesto veggie. I am not much of a beer drinker, but I like the few "blond beers" I have tried there. Service is the other big ballmark. Very friendly staff. Always smiling and cheerful. I highly recommend this pizza place.

It's an excellent place; they make delicious pizza. We always take to go from this place. Our favorite is garden veggie pizza and Garlic cheese bread. We ordered from this place, and they always got the consistency and taste. Whether you are a pizza lover or not, you will love the taste and must try it.

I have dined at this restaurant several times and I'm quite fond of it. I would definitely return. I highly recommend trying their Tehrooni pizza – the ingredients are fresh and of high quality.

Loved the pizzas. 7 hungry bikers shared 3 large pizzas and had a few slices for leftovers even! The toppings are chopped finely and plenty. Clean bathroom. Nice staff. Some beer on tap as well!

I had the Chicago style deep dish and it was delicious. The small is enough for three people (which we didn't know going in, so we each had our own small). My daughter had the garlic chicken on deep dish crust (different from the Chicago style) and my husband had the BBQ chicken on regular crust. They both looked good, with generous toppings. We also had the bacon cheese garlic bread, yum!

Heard about this pizza (quality n expensive)when we recently moved here couple weeks ago. Last night was the opportunity to try it out. I have been trying different local n chain pizza places and eager to taste n compare this with what i had before. And before the pizza itself the chat with the owners already filled me with joy and a friendly atmosphere and you feel connected. The service was great (to go order) and we ordered two different veggie pizzas (spicy n garlic) and everyone in the car was wowed smelling it itself. We ended up eating few slices right away. This is a quality pizza your tummy deserves. And the price? Its all worth for the fresh toppings and portions. Pizza was thoroughly decorated with yummy toppings and no grease. Each sluce is devoured gracefully to please our stomachs. These 2 pizzas easily match 4 or 5 large pizzas at other similar pizza places. We were party of 8 and we were sll full n perfectly met our appetite. Sadly, no left overs ;) and i sold my soul to this pizza place, cant resist!! Everybody voted minimum 8 on a scale 1-10. May be dining in with some wine or drinks in a relaxed mood could easily make it a perfect 10. Try it out and you wont be disappointed. Their logo says “ expect quality “, seriously True!! It's always great pizza! It's time to update this review (6 years later). First and most importantly, Amatos pizza is delicious. The sauce is a little sweeter than some others, but the combination of crust, sauce, and cheese makes for an excellent base for your preferred toppings. We keep coming back here, and when we travel abroad, we look forward to having an Amatos pizza when we get back! Yep, I'm addicted :) This is also a neighborhood/community focused, locally owned small business. Not only do they employ some local teens, the owner is involved and supports local community and individual programs. I know this first hand as Mahmoud supported my wife's fundraising efforts to fight cancer. There are several tables outside that allow you to bring your dog, although that may not be official, and they have plenty of room to host larger gatherings or booths for more private dining. I am a committed customer knowing that I get good food, great service, and a commitment to give back to the community. Thank you Amatos!

Honestly it's the best dough you can ever get! toppings are high quality and veggies are always fresh. I love the friendly service there, especially the owner he is a nice gentleman.. If you got a sweet tooth, try the Nutella bites (I forgot what is called). I only wish they have vegan options :-)

Best local pizza I have had. Their Italian garlic pizza is amazing. Despite being more expensive than other pizza places nearby, I now only order from here because it tastes better and fresher. Great staff too.

Awesome American-Italian food. Many specialty pizzas. Very family oriented. Not noisy or tiresome as many "pizza joints" are. A little on the pricey side compared to chain restaurant pizza, but this is GOOD restaurant quality, and other dishes are equally delectable..

They have lovely pizzas and everything else a friendly neighborhood pizza shop can offer. Big fan of the caprese salad. My son loves the arcade games here. A great shop for both Togo and dine in. 4 stars since it's on the expensive side for a pizza shop. O have seen pizzerias of same quality with more reasonable rates

Very good deep dish pizza. I'm from the Midwest and I know what Chicago style deep dish pizza is supposed to be. This is not it, but it's one of the best I've found in the Bay Area. The toppings were very fresh. The pepperoni was some of the most flavorful I've ever had on a pizza and the mushrooms were fresh and flavorful also. Service was very good and time to get the pizza was pretty good for a Friday night, especially since there was a large kids party on one side of the dining area. We'll definitely be back, but I miss quality deep dish pizza.

Very good deep dish pizza. I'm from the Midwest and I know what Chicago style deep dish pizza is supposed to be. This is not it, but it's one of the best I've found in the Bay Area. The toppings were very fresh. The pepperoni was some of the most flavorful I've ever had on a pizza and the mushrooms were fresh and flavorful also. Service was very good and time to get the pizza was pretty good for a Friday night, especially since there was a large kids party on one side of the dining area. We'll definitely be back, but I miss quality deep dish pizza.

I have been coming to this place for at least 10 years. Today I tried to order a pizza on the phone and after struggling to tell the trainee staff for 10 min what I wanted, gave up and drove to the store . Ordered a thin crust spicy veg and asked to substitute Pineapple with Garlic. The 20 min wait time they said at the time of the order turned out to be 45. Watched at least one person who came after me walk out with their pizza. When I came home it was a thick crust pineapple pizza with no garlic topping :-(. Always like to support neighborhood businesses . The owner Mahmoud is a nice guy but the staff he employes are brining down the reputation . It used to be one of the best pizzas in Almaden Valley.

Wayyy too much sauce that wasn't good. Very little cheese, that also wasn't great. And the dough/crust is better on a frozen pizza. The owner seemed super nice. Convenient location. Clean inside. Decent little outdoor seating area.

The food and atmosphere are good, definitely above average. The prices are absolutely outrages though. I ordered a personal size pizza and it ran me $18, probably could have eaten 5 of them not even being sarcastic. Each slice was like 2 normal size bites. After eating one I almost feel as if I still haven't eaten and I have a relatively normal appetite compared to most. Definitely the most overpriced pizza Ive ever had.

The young woman wouldn't let me pay by credit card over the phone ("that's for delivery orders only" - the kind of answer you get from a large company, but why can't a small shop handle this easy request?). My wife went to pick up the pizza with my card, the young woman made an error running the card, and it was declined. My wife drove all the way back home with no pizza (and our party starting). I called and insisted they run my card (the same card that was declined). After the young woman met with a manager to have them agree to run the card, they did run it and it wasn't declined. So my wife made another trip out to pick up our (no longer hot) pizza. I asked to speak with the manager about this experience and the manager was completely unapologetic and unhelpful. She basically recounted the facts of the situation and did nothing to address the fact that my wife made an unnecessary trip. I believe Amato is active in our community, which I think is very nice. But if you're looking for good pizza in this area, while Amato may be the best of the mediocre pizza, the service experience (at least when we ordered) was -terrible-. And it's really overpriced.

I drove 30 mins from Gilroy to get this pizza. We order and wait, and sit outside. I noticed the table was a little wet but I assumed it was the weather, turns out it was bleach. I just thought it was my sleeve at first but it stained my entire backside. Whoever cleaned it didn't dry it. I understand they have to clean, im very disappointed. I didn't ask to pay for my clothing I asked for a refund and a free pizza on my next visit, the manager said I'd get my refund in 2-3 days but couldnt give me a free pizza. Come on, the refund isn't gonna replace the money I spent on my rags. I say maybe rethink dining in if you do ask them to dry it. Just very disappointed. They lost my business.

Very poor customer service. Caesar salad has cooked bell peppers, who put bell peppers on Caesar salad?!! When you ask for a refund or a new salad to be made, because you’re allergic to bell peppers, they refuse to do so. Instead you get 10% off future poisonous food and throw away a salad.

Our party with 3 kids were hungry after a day of swimming. Just a bunch of youngens working in the kitchen. Not sure why the food took so long. We had to go up and ask about our food. Food finally came out 15-20 mins after we spoke up. Do not recommend dinning in especially on a Sunday night. We got our own plates from other tables. 🦥
