Tip: Mix your drink before leaving the store to avoid spills, as the honey tends to settle at the bottom. Consider trying seasonal flavors and unique toppings like aloe jelly.

Thai tea my favorite
Easy in and out for pickup order
Ube milk tea needs more ube flavor and less water. Hong kong milk tea was good 👍
Really good service, ending up forgetting a drink and had to order again. The second order, although it had gotten busy within 5 minutes of the first order, came out just as quick as the first. Cashier was very polite and helpful. Bobarista's were very quick and efficient.
Boba was great, they had decaf options as well
Very consistent quality and clean store. I like that they have decaf options!
I finally understand the hype around Boba Guys--I was convinced to order their classic drink even though it's pretty different from my regular boba order and it was an awesome combo of flavors.
Got a delicious strawberry matcha with an ube snickerdoodle. The strawberry matcha wasn’t too sweet, and the ube snickerdoodle had just the right amount of chew. Delicious, would def go again!
My favorite boba place of all times. The strawberry matcha latte tea 🍓 is bomb. Highly recommend!! 🤍
Great milk tea Bob. Excellent size. Fair cost. Clean store. Conveniently located on Santana Row.
I love the banana milk here! The drinks are tasty and usually come out very quick. Staff are friendly too
I like the mango fresca but it's not always available.
I enjoy going to this Boba Guys location because of the staff and team. They are welcoming and go above and beyond to making sure your drinks is right. Today, I had came in for some boba and while the internet is down and was only accepting cash, they did their best knowing the situation and helped us with a solution. And that to me is customer service!
Honestly one of my favorite boba spots to date! I don’t like matcha at all but here the strawberry matcha latte with oat milk is to die for. The line always looks long but it goes by pretty fast! There was one time I went and I ordered the black sugar hojicha, I wasn’t a fan of it as it was kinda bitter for my liking and they were nice enough to exchange it to something I do like. I will be back for sure!!!
The only drink I order here these days is their banana oat milk since I love banana oat milk. I've ordered their strawberry matcha latte a long time ago at the SF location near japantown but I thought it was alright. One thing is I wish you could adjust the sugar on the banana milk since it's a bit too sweet.
I love Boba Guys! I had the strawberry macha latte with oat milk and boba and was gooped at the deliciousness. They have a computer kiosk you can use to order or the super lovely employee that greeted us. While it's a little pricy for what it is, I think its worth the little extra splurge on Santana Row. Enjoy~

The staff at Boba Guys is friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to guide you through the menu and offer recommendations based on your preferences. The minimalist and modern ambiance adds to the overall charm, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy your boba. However, it's worth noting that the prices at Boba Guys can be on the higher side compared to other boba shops. Nevertheless, the quality and taste of the drinks make it well worth the occasional splurge. Boba Guys is a must-visit destination for boba lovers looking to indulge in a truly exceptional boba experience.
Very good place for boba tea. Boba pearls are just perfect and tea is great too. We got lychee oolong tea and dirty banana milk. Lychee oolong had fresh lychee flavor. Dirty banana milk is a great drink for a coffee lover.
Tried the peach fresca from the summer seasonal menu. Asked the staff at the counter what would be a good topping and they recommended the aloe jelly. Great choice! Fabulous pairing. Beautiful shop with a really nice merch selection. Perfect drink to enjoy while strolling and wishes shopping along Santana Row.
I was in the Santana Row area on a sunny Saturday morning, and a nice fruity and refreshing bubble tea seemed like the move. I’m glad I passed by this shop. They have a bunch of flavor options, a lot of them being quite unique, and the staff was pretty friendly too. I thoroughly enjoyed my drink, and would gladly stop by for another if I’m in the area.
This is a popular Boba specialty store that is always crowded with people. There are no seats in the store. Pick up guest is the focus. There are many menus that are unique to the store, such as Korean banana milk and dragon fruit menu. It is located at the entrance to Santana Row, so it is good to have a drink while taking a walk on the road after pick-
I've been living in California for 19 years since I married a guy from Los Angeles. Our house is in Santa Clara, 2 minutes from Santana Row. For years we went there daily because we were members of Club One Gym, we trained in the morning and many days we stayed for lunch and coffee. Then we discovered the boba tea. In the same place, now there is Boba Guys, it has capacity for 18 people inside, in addition to offering drinks they also have t-shirts, snacks, brand merchandise ( I bought a cute tote bag for the beach). What a pleasant surprise: an extensive variety of flavors and toppings. I ordered a Strawberry Tea Fresca and a Matcha Latte. Delicious both. We have been back 3 times, in one of them I ordered a Taro ( I love Japanese flavors ) but they don't have any and the guy at the register offered me Ube Latte. I accepted the suggestion and almost as a joke I asked him what happens if I don't like it: He replied that he would make me another one. It was the case, I didn't like it that much and I chose the Strawberry Matcha Latte, excellent. This summer I plan to go many times to continue discovering its flavors.
One of the finest native Bay Area boba shop. So glad they opened this location in South Bay. High quality teas, balls, & everything else. They got innovative seasonal flavors, you have the choice to be basic for adventurous. This is a grab and go place, no seats or anything. You can park in one of the Santana Row public parking lots. Or park at Valley Fair and walk over. Typically a line, but you can definitely order online & pick up once that’s available.
Lively atmosphere in one of the Silicon Valley's premiere spots: Santana Row! It was a warm 96°F and Boba Guys was a great spot to grab a cool drink. I ordered a Strawberry Jasmine Tea and it was made perfectly. Even their biodegradable boba straws were good - they didn't disintegrate after 5 mins! Definitely a go-to when in the area 🙂
Good Bay Area boba joint w clean interiors and busy clientele. Make sure to mix your drinks since the honey is heavy and always at the bottom. This is obvious but difficult to do since they don’t seal and the lid is a little wonky - translation, easy to spill. Solution, mix before entering vehicle. Otherwise, enjoy your delicious boba drink with organic milk, natural ingredients.
First time here and it was a pleasant experience! The Baristas are very kind, friendly, and make sure you’re okay with dairy if the drinks contain it for another substance! They were also nice enough to offer a change of sugar levels if needed but the sweetness was just right for my drink. Definitely would come here again and try out more drinks in the future.🧋🦇

The pricing was good overall, however the boba was a bit watery.
The food and liquid good. Only problem for me is I am in a power wheelchair and unless door is opened can't get in and they don't hear me knock on the door
Yummy milk teas, but kind of expensive. Service was quicker this time than the time I came before! Obviously very clean storefront in a nice area
Very unique flavors for boba, I especially like the drinks with Ube. Would recommend trying the different flavors they have. The only thing is it's pretty pricey for a drink compared to other stores. I would only ever get the flavors that you wouldn't be able to get elsewhere for it to be "worth". The store itself doesn't have any space for you to sit down, usually people just buy a drink and have it outside. The good part is the location, with it being in Santana Row.
Pretty hit-or-miss in terms of quality and getting the order right, and other reviewers seem to have had the same problem. I've gone there 3 times recently due to the location and two times one drink was pretty good (maybe too much ice, maybe the boba didn't totally come out right, no big deal) and the other one had something wrong with it or was basically the wrong order (even when it wasn't busy at all!). And the price is on the higher end. Imo their branding should focus less on t shirts and merch and focus more on tea (sen chen and others crush them here) and the boba (Mr sun for example). Bumping it up to 4 stars because stuff like the black sugar hojicha just tastes too good (Ube and pandan matcha were also good as long as coffee wasn't accidentally added)
Be careful when ordering. When you checkout, you get this "How much would you like to tip?" "$1" or $2 or $3 Continue Your instinct is to hit "continue" to avoid tipping, but that'll just tip the default $1. I'm really getting tired of this. It's a $7.50 drink and we don't even interact with the worker. Can we please stop. Other than that, good drinks and a beautiful interior.
Very small store on Santana row. There is a self serve kiosk in the corner or you can order at the counter. Staff are friendly and efficient. There’s a merch wall. We ordered tieguanyin oolong milk tea with aloe jelly and hibiscus berry. Both were decent. Refreshing on a hot day. Too bad they do not have any slush drinks.
I’ve been looking forward to trying Boba guys for a while. This location is really convenient on Santana Row. However, I visited on a busy Sunday and it was packed! There is a self order station on the left that you can place your order from, if no one else is using it. The service was amazing and the staff were friendly. The atmosphere was lacking only because it is VERY SMALL, so feels cramped while you’re waiting for your drink, and because it was the end of a busy day was a little bit dirty. I try to have their seasonal specialty drinks. The sesame latte, which I added mochi to and Kopi Karamel Cloud. I think it’s important to know that their Boba is slightly smaller than traditional Boba. And it was flavored well but a little bit hard when I got mine. Their drinkable mochi is delish and if you like sesame I’d recommend the sesame latte (it’s caffeine free).
I've been on a boba hunt and thought I'd found a top-tier place—until my second visit. I judge boba places by their classic milk tea, and I was a bit disappointed. I order 50% sweetness to let the tea flavor stand out, but it could have been stronger. On the plus side, they use high-quality Strauss whole milk! Overall, I wouldn't come back for their milk tea. However, I would return for their matcha series, which is top-tier! The seasonal mango matcha latte and the classic strawberry matcha latte were delicious, with really fresh, fruity flavors. Pro tip: the “sweetness level” determines the amount of fruit syrup. The first time I went, the boba pearls were PERFECT—large, perfectly cooked, and with a great brown sugar flavor. The second time, the pearls were old, hard, and seemed smaller (?) for some reason. Now, I’m hesitant to go a third time and risk disappointment again. - - - Update, I went a third time and it was everything I wanted! The boba was great like the first time I went. I would return for their matcha lattes!
Cute boba (bubble tea) shop conveniently located in the outdoor mall. There is a kiosk to order on an iPad if you want. The menu has a pretty good variety of drinks
Pros: clean, happy atmosphere with one of the workers singing with the background music. Cons: only boba straws and no regular straws, the server told me the cup is sip cup and I didn’t need straw, but it was not comfortable and drink was stuck under the lid
Unironically the fact it's so deep in Sanata Row is a nice positive for this store. Relatively small menu for a boba place and while they do have some unique flavors it's a tad underwhelming. Can't say they're that good either, probably just about mid. Not the worst boba I've had but isn't much better then any random stores either. Pricing is fair though.
The atmosphere and workers are great! However the boba was a bit bland to me. We got the horchata with boba and the matcha w/ boba. The boba was very chewy and didn’t have any density to it, the flavor was good though. Both of the drinks were just ok. I thought it would be better considering the amount of people that were in line. Good if you want boba in the moment but I wouldn’t actively seek it out.

The drinks and order system here is really good. So far all drinks I’ve tried have all been great. The only downside for this place is it’s a REALLY small store that gets busy sometimes, so there no where to stand and also hard to maneuver to go up and get your drinks
Went to Boba guy to get my boba craving. It works ! I ordered their Hong Kong Milk Tea while it is on the sweet side than my liking I find it still tasty. Their boba is a little tougher maybe since I went on a weekday their boba might be there for a while. Overall a good visit and will be returning

The boba wasn’t too spectacular, and I didn’t like the flavor. Top it off the straws changed the taste of the tea.
the barista lady was giving us attitude
The tea tastes bland and flavorless, as if it's just water or ice with very little tea or other flavors in it.
Boba quality isnt the best but unique drink flavors are cool. Not a first choice
They have some trendy boba drinks here but they're missing most of your go to favorites. What they have is mostly very good but some drinks are..odd. Nice workers who are helpful and low key but it's not sufficient for being THE boba place on the Row
Disappointed to come at 11:20am today to find the store still closed as the sign said it would be open at 11am on Sunday. Otherwise, the drinks are delicious.
Thai tea was mediocre and not a fan of their pearls. I’ve been going to boba guys since 2014 in SF and the quality isn’t the same.
Love this place but I'm probably going to stop going here. they never have boba ready when they open. Why am I paying extra for boba when it's not even ready when I get there?
Not a large selection of drinks or toppings to choose from. Everything was ok. Only boba place in Santana row. They only have 4 toppings. Boba, almond jelly, aloe and chia. Kids usually like lychee jelly or coconut jelly. They have a lychee drink but no lychee topping. They have milk substitutes if you need or like dairy free. Service was great. They let my son taste the aloe which he didn’t like. Drinks were made fast. You can order at a kiosk inside or at the counter. I usually like ordering at the counter where we can ask questions.
i've been going to boba guys for years, but my drink at this santana row location was underwhelming. usually, i do like boba guys for their chewy honey boba, milk options, and they are one of the only shops that do a decaf black milk tea. // iced decaf black milk tea, milk, with honey boba, 25% sweet ($6.30) // the price has really climbed over the years. i remember when boba guys was one of the first shops to break the $4 ceiling. 25% sweetness is light sweetness and is good if you are also getting a sweet topping like boba. i usually like boba guys for their strong tea and milk flavor, but this time my drink tasted very watered down: weak tea and lighter milk ratio. because of this, it was pretty disappointing. i don't know if this was an error because i've had this drink many times, but it was an underwhelming sweet treat.
Very busy shop. Black Sesame Latte: Very very interesting, unlike anything I've ever tried before. Would recommend if you like sesame, it is quite unique. Pandan Caramel Milk Tea: Very strong and not sweet at all, pretty sure I was missing the Pandan Caramel 🤷🏻♀️ Good thing I added boba to it! Would not recommend.
After trying this place I was hooked. I always wonder when paying with card why the computer always ask for a tip. Doesn't it make sense to tip AFTER your experience? I left a tip last night when I came since I was forced to order at the counter because of the self check out kiosk was not working. Of course my order was NOT taken down right. I ordered 3 regular sized drinks with One large. I get 2 large and 2 reg. I bothered not to complain since I had already over paid and large drink that should have been a regular size. They also don't label their drinks so I couldn't tell the banana milk tea between the horchata. I gave my co-workers their drink and one had to pay more since I was over charged. Well she also grabbed the wrong drink since they weren't labeled. Now she over payed and threw half away because the drinks weren't labeled. If the lady ordering took my order right, I would have been able to tell the difference. I don't mind tipping but it only makes sense to tip after the fact for these reasons. I don't feel comfortable tipping if I haven't received my order, so dont judge me. Tipping is for exceptional service not for getting my order wrong.
I love Boba Guys. We used to drive all the way to San Ramon location for Boba Guys, so we're excited to learn that there is a new location in Santa Row, but the drinks here aren't up to the expectation compared with the San Ramon location. I came around 2:30pm, Friday, and there were 2 parties ahead of me. Pros: line moved quickly, drink came out quickly. Great staffs, good service. Boba is chewy. Cons: Drinks aren't as good. They all tasted like they're diluted. ---Strawberry Jasmine: barely taste any Jasmine tea. My hubby's favorite drink, but he said it tastes more like Strawberry water at this location. ---HongKong Milktea with Boba: it got that Hong Kong Milktea aroma, but again, it feel like it's diluted with ice, although my drink doesn't have that much ice. ---Lychee Oolong:. Same problem as strawberry jasmine. There're barely any tea in the drink. I know it's a new location & they're short of staffs. But overall, we're disappointed about the drinks. The only positive point is their boba still good. We'll probably wait for a while then come back again to see if there is any improvement on the drinks (comparing with Boba Guys San Ramon Location)
Worst Ube milk tea i've ever had. Boba was foul tasting as well. Had high hopes because the irvine location is so raved about. Update: Came back to try the Thai tea bc thats my 2nd favorite flavor, the Thai tea was pretty decent, nothing special. So unsure if my first visit was a fluke because the first time i went, my 2 drinks were nasty. But this drink was alright
A nice little shop if you want some drinks in the middle of Santana row walk. However, the coffee milk tea I got is watery plain, I think Starbuck Mocha is better.
Korean banana coffee was alright and is on the sweeter side. The ratio was more of sweet milk than a coffee drink. Might try another drink next time or adjust the sweetness level.

All drinks don't come with boba, you have to pay extra :) but the store is named boba guys. weird
Passionfruit Fresca tea drink tasted like sugary water with watered down jasmine tea. I could not taste the passion fruit
Got two classic black milk tea tonight, one with boba and the other with aloe jelly, both 50 percent sugar as recommended. The problem with tonight's order was that it tasted like... water. Very disappointed. We've gone several times since it opened and never had an issue, but this tea was so watered down that we felt we paid $14 for water.
First time trying out this place and decided to get the caramel milk tea (one of my favorite drinks!). I expected at least the flavor of caramel but was extremely disappointed when I took my first sip and was met with extremely watered down milk tea. Waited 30 minutes (after ordering online) for this and probably won't come again. The only redeeming factor was the ube cookie.
Took my cousins visiting from Sacramento here cause Smitten was closed due to nitrogen leak. Line was crazy long but was going really fast. Cashier was probably super tired and wasn’t the friendliest. We got our drinks super fast but they had gotten our order wrong. Sapin Sapin too sweet….mine had boba and we didn’t ask for it in that drink. Thai tea coffee drink was too strong and not sweet at all, no one wanted it. Mango was super watery. Hojicha was grainy almost muddy and didn’t have boba when we ordered it for that drink. Overall an embarrassing visit cause we said it would be good but it wasn’t. Speed in which we got the order was impressive but the product that came out was not. Maybe it’s better when they’re not busy?!🤷🏻♀️ Don’t understand the good reviews based on our experience.
I used to like this place about 8 years ago but now in comparison to other boba shops it doesn’t really seem worth the money anymore. The tea is watery and even lowering the sugar it’s incredibly sweet. I did enjoy one of the drinks on their limited summer menu 2 years ago but haven’t had a great one since.
The second worst boba I've had in silicon valley. Ube latte was grainy and the boba was stiff and flavorless. For a 24oz drink, more than half was ice. Their cup is a pierced hole instead of a seal, and the plastic is so stiff that several pieces broke into my drink, so we were randomly drinking plastic along with tea. I would not return.
This review is just for their jasmine green tea. I gave it two tries. The first time, it basically just tasted like sweet milk with a vague whisper of jasmine tea. Figuring it must’ve been a fluke, I tried it again a few months later. It was exactly the same questionable drink. It was also kind of overpriced for the size and quality
Only boba shop here, so lots of traffic, but quality is lacking. Boba is overcooked and sticky. Drinks are extremely sweet.

This is not a proper milk tea. Don't waste your money here. The bay area has so many better options.
Worst boba tea in bay area, they never have any boba left when We ask them, also tried a few drinks they are not tasty at all feels like watered down. Also there is always a huge line, it is not worth to wait. Definitely very bad
The worst boba tea I ever had. Full of sugar and artificial flavors. Tastes like the lowest quality bottled drink you can get from the dollar tree.
Would give 0 if possible. Union busting makes my boba taste like corporate filth. Will never shop at boba guys again given their treatment of employees.
No patience at all to the customer. I asked the cashier if the milk in the drink is pasteurized(because im pregnant), the cashier said "if you think it's pasteurized, then it's pasteurized. If you think no, then it's not ..." excuse me...I really don't understand why a service people has this kind of attitude 🙄
I ordered on dooordash and got 2 horchatas instead of the korean banana milk i ordered.
note to self never come back Rose black tea with coconut milk and boba. Boba was good. I taste the rose. But very little coconut milk. Tastes sour after a few sips
I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Boba Guys. After ordering a drink, I was shocked to find that it tasted terrible, nothing like the delicious boba drinks I've had before. Not only that, but after consuming the drink, I developed stomach pain that lasted for hours. This is completely unacceptable and left me feeling sick and frustrated. As a loyal customer, I expect higher quality products and better service. Boba Guys needs to address these issues immediately and take steps to ensure that their customers are not subjected to this kind of subpar experience. I hope they will take my feedback seriously and make the necessary improvements to their products.
It was the worst boba I’ve ever tried. I paid $9 for a strawberry matcha and there was no strawberry, little bit of strawberry water at the bottom. Also I paid extra $1 for almond jelly. The Jelly was awful. Definitely worth boba place
I purchased one of their milk boba. I was asked by the cashier if I wanted to add toppings. I said no, thinking this was whipped cream or something like that. When I got my drink it did not have boba. That is not a topping, that is the drink main ingredient!!! I'm sad and disappointed.
1 person working with at least 12 people in line. Blonde girl on her phone and a curly haired guy (both employees) watching the one person working!!
