Love the coffee here ! It’s great & awesome 😎
One night I sit at the outside of the store, and lost my car key. I came back a week later and asked them whether they saw the key. I don’t have much hope I will find the key. However, they kept the key in the lost and found area and returned it back to me. That really made my day! What a nice store! What are nice people!
Cold brew coffee... I love it! Pardon my photo here. I usually take better pictures of food/drinks I try so I can leave reviews to support local stores/shops but the coffee was just so good, almost forgot to do so. 😅 When I received my ordered ice cream, that's when I realized I haven't taken any Blue Bottle coffee, hence the picture here.
Shoutout to Gabe for his exceptional customer service! I’m a regular here, and he’s always smiling, quick to help, and genuinely makes sure every customer leaves happy.
You can sit sofa in front of shop. It is one of the nicest place. My favorate is "Cold Form Nola"
Still the same consistently good coffee you expect from a Blue Bottle store anywhere around the country. The NOLA Cold Foam was delicious on a hot day! With such good coffee and so much caffeine addiction I predict that Blue Bottle will take over the world.
Blue bottle is always good. I always go for the NOLA. That that high in calories and just enough sweetness to make your coffee more enjoyable. This time we got their waffles for the first time and that was really good. It’s a great combo to have with your coffee.
Coffee is great, very rarely not so good, but place is great for working on laptop, cheap
Beautifully simple coffee shop with a simple list of drink selections. The staff is courteous and the coffee is really good. There’s can be a bit of a wait and it’s definitely not the cheapest coffee, but they have good coffee blends and you can taste it in the drink. Placed in the center of the shopping area. Has a lot of cute merch! Definitely recommend a more coffee focused drink (cortado or cappuccino) if you want to taste the coffee flavor.
First time trying this coffee and I really liked the taste and the service was awesome, the gentleman at the register greet every single customer with a smile, and the girls serving the coffee very professional and helpful. They’re busy almost all the time. Prices are decent and affordable for where is located, right at the heart of Santana Row.
Blue Bottle has become one of my favourite coffee chains, after trying it in Korea for the first time 3 years ago. So I always try to go if they have one near me whenever I’m travelling. My go-to drink is their New Orleans-style Iced Coffee with Oat Milk. It‘s a cold brew chicory coffee with just the right amount of sweetness. This location got quite busy after lunch but service was still great. We got our drinks pretty fast. I also love how they don’t charge extra for oat milk here as well (although almond milk was $1 extra) They don’t really have indoor seating but you can sit at the benches or chairs outside and just relax and people watch.
Blue bottle cafe! Heard alot about this Cafe, it did not failed me, the best brew ever visited, make your own coffee with your choices of milk, follow diet restriction great safety! there mocha, matcha latte, pound cake, brown BB are must try those are killer! They do have lots of other choices love to come back to try those someday. You will see long que to get oder taken 4* kinda time consuming must say! wonder that's makes them so popular. ! Heard their coffee are organic and from Ethiopia, However 5* must for 🔵bottle. Taste, service, ambience, value of money, waiting time fantabulous. To caffeinated Pros, Must visit cafe in silicon valley CA highly X2 recommend!
Coffee is one of the best in my opinion! Can’t go wrong with a shaken vanilla bean cold brew. It was busy when I went and waited 25 minutes for my coffee but the staff were all nice.
Straddling the walkways of Santana, between two beautiful trees with amazing seating areas, is this Blue Bottle Coffee. I came in for an espresso on ice, and it took a bit to come out. Flavor is delicious. Definitely working its magic and giving me the energy I need. It’s delightful sitting under the trees and sipping a tasty beverage
Mornings when I’m short on time and craving for freshly brewed coffee, Blue Bottle Coffee at Santana Row in west San Jose hits the mark in delivering that hot aromatic aphrodisiac coffee that not only wakes the senses up but also the palate. Pairs deliciously with a croissant or pastries. Ordered a Bella Donovan freshly brewed poured over coffee which is described by Blue Bottle coffee as “a natural Ethiopian coffee with jammy berry notes brings a glimmer of fruit to the otherwise chocolate-heavy foundation. To add nuance, they roast these two coffees four different ways. The result is a blend that straddles the worlds of complexity and comfort with uncommon poise.” Taste: 5/5 Location’s Ambiance: chill / relaxing outdoor shaded patio area with seating and tables aplenty Quiet spot for remote work, and a good gathering spot to socialize with family and friends Blue Bottle Coffee’s mission is to “serve delicious coffee, roasted fresh and brewed to order, sourced from the finest sustainable coffee farms.” Some interesting tidbits: “A former professional clarinetist who studied philosophy at UC Santa Cruz, Freeman opened Blue Bottle in Oakland more than two decades ago, and the hugely successful brand has been majority-owned, 65%, by Swiss food giant Nestlé since 2017.” Blue Bottle coffee are “sourced responsibly and sustainably, and many of them are certified organic. The following blends are certified organic: Bella Donovan, Three Africas, Giant Steps, 17ft Ceiling and Hayes Valley.” *~* ⛷️🏂🏔️ Love to ski, snowboard? visit Snowpals dot org - SF Bay Area’s largest snow sports community
Cool place with positive vibes on a Wednesday evening as the shop is surrounded by Farmer’s market. Interiors are really attractive and sets up the tone for a sipping a delightful coffee. I tried Nola and liked it, though I’m inclined towards trying the regular blend as the special blend has more of orangish flavor and smell. Plenty of outdoor seating.
Nice shade for a coffee break. It has the best resting place as a coffee bar, thanks to the construcitons of Santana row. The queue is quite long on peak hours and seats are full of families. But if you got a chance to visit off-peak hours with blossom raining, it is a totoally different scene.
Pretty busy location, some people were told there would be an 18 minute wait for their orders on a Monday afternoon. Despite that, it's a nice place to grab a coffee/baked good and has a lot of outdoor seating for visiting and people watching. All of the drinks are made with oat milk, which I love! The NOLA is great for people who don't like overly sweet drinks and most of the baked goods are delicious.
Reliable place for a traditional cappuccino. Beautiful seating under the tree with a gentle breeze and live music. Great place to chill on a sunny day.
Very friendly and helpful staff with delicious unique Nola style coffe and drinks.
First time trying Blue Bottle Coffee and I enjoyed it. However, I ordered the New Orleans Style cold brew but didn’t get much of the chicory flavor which was a bit disappointing. I also tried the caramel salted cookie (not photographed) and it was delicious!!! Will def be back to try it again.
Blue Bottle is my preferred coffee but this location and space makes it a real challenge to get. Given its in what equates to the center on Santana Row, it's not possible to grab a quick coffee. The building itself is nicely designed but very cramped and offers no seating inside. After you've ordered there is no real space to wait for your drink inside. Otherwise, the staff was great and so was the coffee. Definitely much better than any other coffee choices in the Santana Row complex. Fingers crossed they open other locations in the SJ area soon.
Went there for coffee. Wait time is long since there is mobile order ahead of us. Coffee is great but can be expensive. Three coffee for $25. Can come some times but definitely not all the time.
Stopped by Blue Bottle post Yoga in Santana Row. I ordered: Cold Brew $7.00 Single Origin, 16oz Regular Pretty pricey for a cold brew, but Santana Row haha. Small line. Seating in the area out front. We also happened to be there with a craft fair going on too. Parking in the garage or street parking.
Good coffee as always. Service can be very slow. Took almost 20 min for an americano.
Took around 20mins to get a simple capuccino. 3 out of the 5 employees seemed not to be working there, just standing and moving behind the counter. But, was there any other option open althat early in the morning?
I found this to be a bit overrated. I ordered a mocha and a waffle. Between the two the waffle was much better. It was crunchy and sweet but not overpoweringly sweet. I didn’t really like my coffee as it was very tarte and strong. I also had an upset stomach afterwards which doesn’t normally happen when I drink coffee. I will say the view here is amazing and there’s a ton of seating outside. Overall I didn’t enjoy my coffee and everything’s overpriced.
I came here because people declare it to be the most amazing coffee in the area, so I drove to Santana Row to try their coffee. First off, they’re a small shop located in the center near tables and chairs. I asked for a recommendation, ordered my drink, and was given a buzzer. Once the buzzer went off, I grabbed my coffee and looked for a place to sit and drink my overpriced cup of coffee. Was it great? Yes. Was it overpriced? Yes. Would I come back? Only if someone else pays for me 😂
I went to their Santana row location. The sitting area outside the cafe is amazing, with really comfortable chairs, under a big oak tree. However, I ordered a "pour over" coffee for $6 that was super bitter. I had coffee at one of their locations in San Francisco and it was really good. However, this one. Not worth it at all if you ask me.
I recently visited Blue Bottle Coffee, and my experience was far from satisfactory. I ordered a flat white and a latte, both of which tasted like there was zero espresso in them. The drinks were weak and lacked the robust coffee flavor that one would expect from a specialty coffee shop. When I approached the staff with the issue, they failed to provide a reasonable solution. Instead of addressing the problem they dismissed my concerns without any attempt to rectify the situation. Given the reputation of Blue Bottle Coffee, I expected much better both in terms of product quality and customer service.
I love blue bottle coffee but I have to give a 2 stars to this location. I’ve been to several locations in the Bay Area many times, and this location is always the one provides late order (the time you get always 5-10 mins later than the pick up time); also, the barista here obviously don’t know how to do latte art, latte I got without any arts, see picture, is this a real blue bootle standard, please, even a simple shape. I hope this location can do proper training to their staff.
This is another example of Blue Bottle sliding downhill. Used to be amazing but the staff doesn’t make great drinks anymore, the food is subpar, and there seems to be an in general apathy towards the customers. Please fix this!!!
Ordered a $6 hot chocolate, waited 18 minutes, order lost. Left in frustration without hot chocolate.
They have really great coffee, but the staff aren’t professional. And they close earlier then they say they do. Today I walked in at 5:54pm, and they said they stopped taking orders but they don’t close until 6pm. I know I walked in close to 6pm, but I didn’t expect this type of poor customer service decision from Blue Bottle. They even have a sign on the door that states their business hours while they closed earlier than they should’ve.
I hoped to find a great qualify coffee roastery/specialty coffee shop in Bay Area (the way coffee tastes in Australia). So today I went to Blue Bottle and ordered a latte with beans roasted mildly, that was supposed to be less bitter. It was super bitter and burned, I didn't like it at all... We won't be back and my search of a great coffee place in Bay Area continues Staff and atmosphere are nice though.
Rating this particular Blue Bottle branch based on two visits. First of all, I love Blue Bottle and they’re usually 4/5 or 5/5. As for this branch, the coffee did not taste good in both visits, and the milk is a bit too hot. Seems like they’re degrading to Starbucks. I really hope Blue Bottle fixes this inconsistency issue. Also, in my second visit, I ordered a cortado (the cashier told me they have one and punched in gibraltar, which is basically the same). However, I got a full cappuccino, the one they do in an 8 oz cup, which I hate because it’s too milky. The bartender said “cappuccino” out loud twice, and when I mentioned it was cortado, he said oops I misread it I meant cortado (it actually said gibraltar on the receipt). I’m pretty sure he made a mistake and did not want to redo it. I said I thought a cortado is smaller, he said no this is a cortado. In what dimension of this universe is an 8 oz cup a cortado? Especially coming out of the mouth of a bartender working at Blue Bottle. Please google “cortado”. Cortado literally means “cut”, as in cut size or short. Look at the pics and tell me whether this is cut or full to the brim with milk. I specifically avoid ordering cappuccino for take away because it becomes 8 oz of coffee-flavored milk (vs. a 4-5 oz proper cappuccino when you order it for here, which is another stupid inconsistency issue that Blue Bottle needs to fix).
Super long wait, they only tell you that there's a 20 minutes wait after you pay for the order. coffee is ok.
Mobile pick up ruined this location. Learn from Starbucks’ mistakes
Worst blue bottle coffee in the bay area . Staff berates customers and lies about giving out orders when they have not actually . Had an incident on Christmas eve where the staff without handing out the pastry that i order later said that they have already handed me the pastry and that i was lying about the pastry . On asking why she thinks so, Barista yelled “GET OUT OF THE STORE “ and stormed off. And its not even me I saw them mistreating other customers forming line outside the store . Pathetic service from blue bottle coffee. Seems like they need to retrain their staff on how to behave properly with the customers. Such behavior on Christmas eve is just awful.
Went here today and had the absolute worst croissant. It tasted like cardboard. Was not asked if I wanted to have it warmed or maybe that was not an option. Service was meh and cashier was not friendly. Will not be going to Bluebottle ever again!
Unfortunately it is the worst blue bottle I had! I ordered online, after the app noticed me drink is ready but no there is no drinks in the pick up window yet. Waited for another 15 minutes and checked with the staff. They did not get my order then just made me one. The latte was completely burnt and IT IS NOT a latte, the foam was 2/3 of the cup, of course no latte art not even a basic heart. I also saw other drinks all have similar issues
Takes too long even on a non-busy day and no line; that’s not even the worse part - they must be using some low grade coffee full of mold. I got so many jitters for hours after drinking it. I realize it’s hard to find a coffee place with mold-free coffee but most are not that bad. Also - overpriced for what it is.
Super slow. They prioritize online order. waited 20 mins
Order here if you want to wait for 45 minutes for your drink . Ridiculously slow .
If you order ahead, you can wait 30 minutes for coffee even though there was almost no line. Terrible.
I fly all the way from Toronto to San Francisco , took a 20$ Lyft to this location. Their hour is closing at 8pm, I arrived at 5:56pm and the staff said they closed already…..I begged them for just buying some instant coffee and they said they can’t do it. So disappointed in this brand, never gonna come back again.👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
Horrible attitude and super slow, our order was left far behind and a long queue of people who were behind us have received their order ahead of us. Attitude of the employees was very rude.
Very poor in speed. Whenever I place an online order for pick up they are late by more than 10 mins of estimated time. Also despite ordering extra hot, they never make it extra hot. Coffee not worth the wait. Very disappointing.
Ordered ahead at 12:47 is eta is 1:04. 1:15 still waiting for the coffee. Someone ordered at 1:02 and is ready at 1:10. The mobile order is not handled in queue. Just random picked unless you asked for the order.
The slowest coffee I’ve ever had a 15 min wait for just one cup. It’s only espresso, milk, and ice, so there’s no reason it should take 20 minutes. The taste was very disappointing more like cold water than coffee. I honestly make better coffee at home. And the prices Like ordering coffee from Louis Vuitton
This Blue Bottle location is in an extremely busy area, yet they only have one register, which makes the wait time unacceptable. It took at least 20 minutes just to get my order. To make things worse, the hot chocolate wasn’t even hot—it was barely warm. For a place that charges premium prices, this level of service and quality is very disappointing. I won’t be coming back.
Jul 16 update: This place is a scam. It’s been more than 2 weeks and they still haven’t issued any refund. The only way I could receive a refund was to report the transaction as a scam to my credit card company. I won’t be coming back to this horrible and dishonest business. —— Ordered a drip coffee here in person. Waited for 25 minutes. Checked in on the order status and was told it would be ready in 2min. Waited for another 15 min and was told the order was never made and that I’d receive a refund. So far haven’t received my refund. I used to like Blue Bottle. It’s a real shame.
Way overpriced small cup Latte for $6.5. They have 7 people working inside for 1 person job. Cashier and Barista. A booth like this should have a Max of 2, they have 7 - the rest are just hanging out, looking pretty. I just overheard the manager tell 1 guy that he's responsible for the milk. So 1 makes espresso and he give it to another guy to steam the milk.. using the same machine. Another person handles the pastry, which is next to the cashier... You would think they moved little faster if they have 7 people, but nope.. it has been 20 minutes, I'm still waiting for my order and the shop is not even packed. Also, there wasn't a specific instructions on where to stand, and the cashier saw us walk in and he didn't bother tell us I'm waiting with people who already ordered. Not even bother to greet. The coffee is so small. I had to order from another place WHICH offers a bigger mug of Latte for the same freaking PRICE AND ITS NOT WATERED DOWN as the one from this store!!! Blue Bottle is for bougie people with no taste, but because the price is expensive, so they think it must be good.
