I stopped by on a Saturday around 3pm and there was no wait for a table. The curry is delicious and comforting. Spicy but not too spicy and full of deep flavor. The tonkatsu is excellent. Perfectly fried, thick cut, and juicy on the inside. It pairs so well with the curry and the breading holds up to the curry and doesn't get soggy too fast. Portion sizes are very generous and I left absolutely stuffed. Highly recommend.
Curry Life always satisfies my Japanese curry cravings with consistent quality each time I visit. Can't go wrong with the juicy/crispy katsu + giant rice portions, and they also have good curry udon (and now non-curry items too). The curry is full of flavor and super hearty! The pricing is standard for jp curry in the area. I've never had trouble with getting seated quickly. The staff there are kind and service is quick, and the interior is welcoming and homey. Expect parking to be busy during peak hours.
I went here because the line at Tsujita was so long. Long story short..I’m glad I went here and tried the curry for the first time. It’s really authentic tasting, just like in Japan. The anime theme and figurines give it a fun atmosphere. The servers are Japanese and they were really friendly and gave good service. Definitely going to be my go-to Japanese curry place. The curry flavor was perfect to me. I got medium spicy, maybe my spice tolerance went down because I was sweating and my face turned red for the first time (lol). I was in line for the bathroom in the back and I could see them preparing the curry. They have this big stock pot that is just like in Japan. That’s so cool.
It was the best katsu curry in south bay! Perfect depth and texture 🤩 would highly recommend
4years later - more yummy now. Like it. Self service. The meat is too thick for either chicken or pork. It is not the best curry rice choice in the South Bay. A bit pricey as well.
Great little place with solid curry. Definitely one of the best curry places in the bay area, the food here really is no slouch. Service can be spotty at times if they are busy and you might be waiting upwards of half an hour for your meal at worst but typically it's ok. The seating is nice and quaint.
Solid Japanese curry that is borderline fast food-esque. You order at the counter, and very shortly after they will call your number at the pick up counter. I ordered the beef curry with chicken cutlet medium spicy. The chicken was light and crispy. The restaurant itself must cater to to-go orders because it’s small and only has like 6 tables. Your food comes in reusable plastic to go bowls. My only complaint is I wish there were more beef chunks in the curry. I will definitely be coming back!
TLDR: Pork over ~ chicken and riceover ~ noodles. Been there twice and trust my review! Pork is juicer and fattier than chicken. Rice is better than noodle bc noodle might be a bit soggy. Food comes super fast and it's a fast casual so don't take your first date there loll! Also seen a lot of family go there. Kids love the place too. Pro tip: get desserts and drinks from other restaurants in the mitsuwa plaza. Guarantee a great time and meal. We love mochi cream there. Service is great. Seems family-run.
I was very hungry after work. Clover Bakery was already closed for the day so decided to come here. Ordered Pork curry and received it in five mins because there was no line. Ate outside because it was too loud inside, the sh*tty music blasting, Parking is can be difficult but today not so much. Clean restaurant and friendly staff. Wil eat again here 😘
4/17/2022 at 12:30pm Not crowded. Indoor dining available. Wipes at table. Chili powder available so you can make as spicy as you like. Got the same chicken and pork as last time and taste just as great. 4/1/2021 Curry tasty and you can add hot chili to your liking. Pork and chicken dishes tasty and moist.

The curry is incredibly rich and delicious, the rice is cooked perfectly, the udon noodles are very smooth, and the highlight is the crispy exterior of the pork cutlet, which remains moist on the inside. The only downside is that the restaurant uses a set of plastic utensils for dining in, and I only used the spoon, which doesn't feel very environmentally friendly.

Been past here a bunch and from the outside it's not as welcoming as the inside, and the staff. Menu has plenty of variety. Had a chicken katsu curry and Karaage chicken udon. It was fresh and HOT! And Deeeelicious. Portions are generous. Took a lot home despite eating far past being full because it was so tasty. New regular place to visit. My daughter and I loved it. They have a repeat customer.
Bought a to go order. The curry has a nice flavor, the low spice level really did fit my taste. The beef could be better but that's probably from the to go stuff. Overall the curry was nice and no slow burn spicyness.

I visited the restaurant for Friday dinner, there was no table inside but still available one outside, although it was some cool outdoor, it’s still acceptable for a quick dinner. I ordered the curry katsu, it’s not expensive compared to other Japanese restaurants, but it very delicious, deserves the 2nd visit.
Recommend for a quick bite. A quick sit-down restaurant. Even with every table full it was only a 10 minute wait. There was only one server on a Sunday afternoon so he was busy but still attentive and very nice. I find that a lot of places make bland Japanese curry, but luckily theirs was not.
Solid Japanese curry! Good portions for the price, quick service and yummy food. The one comment I would have is the location is quite small, so you might have trouble finding a seat when it gets busy. Otherwise, loved my time here!
Really good Japanese curry restaurant. Love how they have vegetarian and pescatarian options as usually Japanese curry is made with meat, even boxed Japanese curry. The restaurant is small so you may have to wait but should not come as a surprise if you’re going for Japanese food.
I ordered fried shrimp udon and champion udon because takoyaki is gone.Everything was delicious, but I was not satisfied with the price, and the chicken karaage was too salty to eat.I personally don't like sour curry. It was sour and not very strong curry. But donkatsu. Fried shrimp was grilled well and delicious.
I loved the curry here very much. Having lived in Japan for two years, I get cravings for their famous Coco Ichibanya. I feel this is as close as I can get without going down to the nearest US location in LA. I was not too happy with the prices though. It is customizable but there's a charge for each thing you add so I ended up paying almost 30 for my bowl. The portions however are huge, I ate half and got two meals out of it so it evens out. The flavors and texture however were absolutely on point. I'll be returning soon.

This is a nice place for quick curry fix. The portions were huge. The curry is more spicy than traditional Japanese curry. The tonkatsu was huge although it was a bit dry and could be seasoned a bit more. For the price this is a great place to have curry. Friendly staff. It's open seating so you may need to wait for a table after you order.

This is the first time I've had Curry Udon that looked veryyyyy unappealing and just ...weird? Curry just poured over broth. Udon was also overcooked and the curry was very 1 dimensional. The service was wonderful but food wasn't it unfortunately. I would recommend Udon Mugizo, just down the street if you want to enjoy Curry Udon. There is 2 outdoor seating benches which were very convenient! It looks like this place can get busy but service was pretty efficient.

I've ordered sukiyaki beef curry for togo today (Feb 23, order K33, Clover ID: PJVPEEHZ70AKM) from San Jose 95129, but they didn't give me the curry sauce... I tried to call the store multiple times, but they won't answer it. I have been a loyal customer and ordered many times, but this is very disappointing. Please make a refund for my order.
