Very courteous staff ... The food is excellent ... Potstickers are spot on ... Mixed Fried rice is moist and flavorful ... Sweet and sour pork is 🔥
Affordable and delicious southeast Asian and Chinese food! The staff are incredibly friendly, and the food is delicious with beautiful dishes. We had the Singapore Stir Fried Noodles, the Pad Thai, and the Mango Eggplant. They also take food allergies very seriously and can accommodate dishes accordingly. Parking can be a little difficult with only 6-7 spaces in front of the restaurant.
We stumbled along this place by distance and the reviews. We were about to fly out and wanted some good Asian food. The pics and reviews don't do this place justice! I eat out a LOT and this is my new favorite spot. I can honestly say the best Chinese food I've had. The service was amazing. I can't believe the place isn't packed. Their decor is cute and restrooms are clean. We started with the crispy tofu. I am normally not a fan of it but my boyfriend wanted to try it and I'm so glad he did. It was crunchy and the sauce that accompanied it was tasty. We shared the Kung pao and general tso and there was so many umami moments. We also had jasmine tea and that was herby and delicious. The combination fried rice was not an after thought. I could have just eaten that and been great. They go out of their way to make sure everything tastes so good and it shows. I can't say enough good things about them. I can't wait to visit San Jose again. I just wish San Antonio wasn't so far away.
So happy to find this great Chinese place in San Jose! I liked everything about it. Food was delicious and the portions were big, prices reasonable, interior stylish and even elegant. But what is the most rare in all middle class restaurants - the service - it was top notch! The servers were very dedicated and knowledgeable, plus they were wearing the uniform(!) Feel myself really welcome guest here. As for food can definitely recommend chicken with eggplant in garlic sauce. Flavorful and tender with right level of spice.
I love this Thai food restaurant in Willow Glen. It’s reasonably priced and large portions. I love the yellow curry! The folks there are so sweet when I ask that my order be gluten free (they have GF soy sauce)! They are always so helpful when I want to try new menu items and ensure that it can or can not be made GF. Their lunch menu is also really good!
Been there two days ago. Love their tea leaf salad. As a vegetarian, I personally enjoyed their egg plant in garlic sauce and kung pao tofu. Must try if you love Burmese and Chinese style food.
In A Nutshell: -Sweet Mango located in Willow Glen has been serving mouth-watering Burmese/Chinese comfortfood for years! -Everything on their menu is perfect. -Their food, even in take-out form tastes great. -I suggest ordering their famous Tea Leaf Salad, Pineapple Fried Rice, Tom Yum Soup, Eggplant/Basil, Mango Chicken & Roti Prata. -They also have "sweet" customer service! Overall, this is a gem if you want your tongue to salivate & have a delicious time.
First experience w Burmese food, it was excellent. Must start with the fermented tea leaf salad and the roti. Can't miss with any of the fried rice and curry. Restaurant was very clean and the servers are attentive.

Today, I had lunch here and it was amazing.I had the fire cracking chicken and the prices are great for the food you get. The service is fast and super attentive. This will be my regular lunch spot. They have so many different classic to infused delicious dishes. You wont be disappointed. Thank Sweet Mango for bringing some work week happiness and flavor.
Third time trying Sweet Mango! The first time, I was craving chow mein and it hit the spot so good I left my first review here. Just what I was looking for regarding flavor and texture! Second time I got the Mango Chicken, it was pretty good but the mango could use a little less cook time and lost some flavor. My sister visited me this Christmas and I suggested Chinese food because getting Chinese food was one of our favorite childhood memories. Sweet Mango is about 10 minutes from my house and I already knew their chow mein was tried and true. And they are open Christmas day. So third time it is! I ordered chow mein again, shrimp fried rice, and general Tso chicken. My sister likes Indian food so I ordered samosas and roti as well. Everything was great! First time trying roti and the curry sauce was so rich and buttery. My sister said she was expecting to taste more curry but she said it was really good and I agree. The roti has good texture and tastes like a croissant. I'm a fan! Samosas were good, even better dipped in the curry sauce. Chow mein was just as delicious as last time. General Tso chicken was yummy and looked appetizing which is big for me. I'll finish with the shrimp fried rice because I usually skip fried rice when ordering Chinese, because I'm picky if it's not made right. But I wanted to try theirs because the chow mein was good. It was perfect! Shrimp wasn't overcooked (a common tragedy) and the rice was nice and fluffy and had just the right amount of flavor to not even need any sauce. I spent about $80 plus a tip, definitely the most I've ever spent on takeout at once. There's nothing worse than spending a lot of money on food you didn't enjoy. But I enjoyed every bite of this feast, and will definitely make Sweet Mango my go-to since it's so close to my house! Good job chefs, thank you for working on such a busy night! You guys deserve the revenue and thank you for having my order ready on time 🙌 PS I'm writing this as I'm enjoying my leftovers for lunch! 😋
We wouldn't eat in here, but it's so great for takeout or delivery. The food is always flavorful, hot, and generous. The service is quick and friendly. So much better than the other Thai or Chinese options in Willow Glen. Super Yum!

Nice little place in Willow Glen on Willow Street. Across the street is a Bask and Robbins as a Landmark. Food was definitely fresh and tasty. Did not go for the spicy Thai route, more savory and sweet dishes ordered. Loved the service here. Very attentive.
First off, it's Christmas Night. This was our first time. We come here and it is packed!!! We got the last table for 2 and got seated immediately, otherwise it would have been an hour wait! So, excellent service. 3 different people came and asked for our drink order. We were impressed by their decorative plates. We ordered the shredded pork Entree, and a mixed chow mein with pot stickers. All were very good. I ordered the fried bananas with mango ice cream for dessert. The batter on the bananas was very good too. If they were plantains instead, i think they would have earned 5 stars. Otherwise, this is a solid 4 and we'll be back.
Came here for dinner with my friend. We got seated right away by a kind lady. The place was kind of empty which was good. Me and my friend decided to share a soup and an entre. We got the noodle soup and it was yummy but on the heavier side compared to Tom kha if you like that consistency. Additionally we also got the mixed veg with chicken dish and that was well sauted and nicely done. We didn’t get anything to drink but may be next time. Overall good experience and glad to have visited after hearing about this place so much
Best things here are shrimp fried rice and Thai milk tea. Totally worth the trip for this. Seating is quick and service efficient.
They have Chinese, Thai and Burmese dishes on their menu. We tried the Fish Fillet with Eggplant and the Chicken with Coconut Curry. Both are tasty, especially the Chicken with Coconut Curry. Portion size is no that large compared to the not-so-cheap price.
Overall the food was good, but they didn’t had limited options for vegetarian starters. We did try soup which they were able to make it with a veg broth. There was only one person helping so sometimes we had a lot but would definitely recommend it to try it out once as food was good.
The food was very good. We ordered spring egg rolls, shrimp fried rice and the spicy mango chicken to go. The flavor specialist (waitress) suggested spicy mango chicken, and assured us it wasn't too spicy. It was tasty with just enough kick but not too much as to cause a runny nose. The building can use some love, some power washing out front would do a world of good. The parking lot is a bit small so I would consider parking on Blewett the adjacent street. Make the right just before entering the parking lot if approaching the restaurant from Lincoln Street.

So disappointed with my dinner from this place! I love tea leaf salad and have had it many times. The one I got today was so terrible I couldn't eat it. It had a rediculous amount of water from the lettuce and it smelled like fish. The fermented tea leaves tasted very different too. Still, I tried to eat some of the salad and now I'm writing this review as I'm waiting for the Pepto to settle my stomach. This used to be my go to place before one opened closer to home and I was exited to go back since I was in the area. How I regret this... Rachel explained that the extra water was due to it being very hot today and that no one else complained about the fermented tea leaves so they must be fine. She offered to give me a free salad next time I visit but I don't think I ever will. Three stars for friendly service in when picking up and for offering a complementary salad.
A very sad excuse for a Pad See Ew... I ordered it with chicken (which was tender), but the portions were so strange! There was A LOT of egg and noodles, but very little broccoli and chicken. I explicitly asked the waitress for "light oil" since this dish tends to be on the oily side... and to my surprise... they served it to me GLISTENING in a big puddle of oil. I was shocked! The entire dish just tasted like OIL. There was very little soy sauce flavor too. It was actually very bland and overwhelmingly greasy. It was a struggle to finish eating this... I hate to write this review since I am normally a big supporter of locally-owned Thai restaurants, but I really did not enjoy this dish and I hope they will make it less oily in the future. I might be back to try their Kao Soi (Coconut Chicken Noodle Soup)... maybe that will be much more flavorful and enjoyable?

First off we had the samosa, mango salad and fresh mango with sticky rice and am being as unbiased as possible. This is about the worst Burmese “food” I have ever tasted. My wife is from Burma and grew up making traditional Burmese dishes. This is an abomination and must be addressed. The utter disrespect to the tradition of the Burmese food is very disturbing . However if you don’t care about authenticity then this all for you. Photos will illustrate real mango and their mango salad. Not worth the price whatsoever…
