Good food, good atmosphere, great service Havent tried the cocktail menu but the wine selections is good and the food options are good Stake was cooke med rare! As requested and flavorful
Great food and drinks with excellent service! We got here early and they filled up fast. Highly recommend the calamari. It was perfectly prepared!
The area where this restaurant is located can be very busy, especially during Fri and weekends, so plan accordingly. There is a parking garage nearby which is very convenient. The night we went for dinner was quiet so we were able to get a table right away. Our server was very courteous and helpful since it was our first time there. They have a good selection of beer and cocktails. The four we ordered were great. Appetizers were very generous in portion: calamari and the French fries. Both came out fresh and crispy with loads of flavor. Our main entrees were surf and turf (6oz sirloin and grilled halibut) and NY strip steak. Again, both came out perfectly and we're delicious. Overall a great place for drinks and meal with friends or date.
Had the house special skirt steak with rosemary pesto mash potatoes and grilled vegetables. Super delicious 100% going back. Rahg our server was great and got us everything we needed including blackberry sours and other drinks. 😎
I honestly never leave a review unless it’s really good, or really bad…this was definitely the first. First off the bartender Raag, from start to finish, completed the whole experience. Drinks, dinner, experience, all on point. I live in Texas and came in on a business trip and found a gem. Will definitely be back and will be bringing coworkers and friends. Thx for a great evening.
We were celebrating a friend's birthday and I found Firehouse No. 1 on Opentable. It was Friday night and parking was a bit challenging - recommend getting there early. We were seated right away in the back corner of the restaurant. Our server was friendly and prompt. Drinks were served right away and well crafted. Everything we ordered was DELICIOUS! The bone marrow appetizer was devoured quickly, as was the calamari. My friend's rib-eye steak was a perfect medium rare. I had mussels and they were perfectly seasoned and cooked. We ended up staying & chatting at the restaurant for a long time. It got loud at times but overall the volume was manageable. The staff brought out complimentary (?) cheesecake for my friend's birthday, which was a nice gesture. My only complaint is that our bench seats were not the most comfortable. Otherwise everything else was awesome. Would certainly recommend this place and return for future visits.
The food was delicious, the staff was wonderful and the wait was minimal considering how packed it was. I didn't know what to order but the bartender (John) recommended the pork chop and I have zero regrets - it was FANTASTIC. The only minus was the host telling us we'd have to wait 45 minutes and then having to rush to finish beers that we got next door because we got a text 15 minutes later.
Tucked away among many other restaurants is this small spot with a local flair...but the food and drinks are truly world class. We shared the beets, which were so delicious and then I had the pork chop which was cooked to perfection. I also had a delicious italian gin concoction that was perfect with my meal. Highly recommended. #localspot #happyhour
Absolutely fantastic gastro-pub in downtown San Jose. Location is on market place strip where a lot of restaurants are located. The beer and specialty cocktail menu was extensive. The food was fantastic. Had both the wings and the Red Wine Braised Octopus Fire Grilled ... Perfectly prepared with fantastic flavor!
This sports bar has a great atmosphere...Awesome place to be during big games with all the big screen TVs all around. Food and drinks are FANTASTIC!! Attentive staff who are very familiar with their various cocktails/menu to help you decide. I have been here a few times and always loved their daily specials which were always great! Overall...a great place to hangout with friends!
After hooking up with Pillsbury and his son Doughboy we headed down to what Pillsbury calls the eatin street...lots of options he says. Well, we parked in the big garage there, and walked from about here to there before rankin it down to 3 joints. We couldn't settle on which place so we did rock, paper, scissors, and that didn't work because Doughboy couldn't understand how paper could beat a rock, so..we did odd man out, first with our fingers, then with 3 quarters, and again, Doughboy didn't understand the concept because he says each quarter has the same guy on it..! So I asked him this "If your pants were on fire which of these restaurants would you go to?" He thought about it for about 5 seconds..laughed and said the Firehouse Restaurant! It was my choice all along! 5 ☆☆☆☆☆
Really nice place. I went in kind of early so it wasn't too crowded. Staff is on top of it. Had the waygu burger, it was awesome. Had a great old fashioned. Will definitely go back again!
We just stopped in for fries and to watch the Sharks fight (hockey game) They carry Guinness Zero but had a great deal on (big) Jamo Shot and Pilsner. Even as busy as they were we were helped more than needed. Staff even asked the customers what game was preferred on what screen (never experienced that kindness before) I was considered about all the missing people fliers around until the boyfriend laughed and said it was from Stranger Things (i never watched it) Easy parking and clean bathrooms. Thanks O'Flahertys!!
In San Jose for annual Irish Conference having this venue sponsor was amazing! Great live music nightly!, great menu and full bar do pick your favorites!, inside a great Irish feel with friendly hardworking staff!, ample pub seating!, a patio allows for the outside in! All of our group had an amazing time and we found ourselves here at the end of the night, our to watch the game! Pricing is fair for the “station” area. Great local pub!
Wonderful Irish pub that I was lucky enough to hit when they had live music. Variety of beers on tap. I had the grilled ham and cheese which was delicious. Can get crowded!
I loved the atmosphere here. It was dark, loud and full of drunk people. It made me feel young. The music is extremely loud, so if you want to have a conversation, this might not be a place for you. Some of my friends got the Guinness, whereas I got a rum based cocktail which was very good and also reasonably priced. If your main objective is to have a good time, would definitely recommend this place. The decor is very irish and would transport you back to pubs in London and Ireland.
We stopped by at this pub for the just released & sought after Pliny the younger 2024, but unfortunately we were a day late. We had Pliny the Elder & other drinks instead. The bar hostess was friendly and hospitable and recommended a couple of their most popular dishes: Corned beef tacos & Shepherd’s pie. We were a little hesitant about the corned beef tacos at first, but we’re happy we gave it a try. These dishes are truly delicious and did not disappoint. Can’t wait to come back again soon!

The service at the bar was great, as was my old fashioned. My food was alright, nothing to rave about. But the inside of this place is very chill and cozy. I’d come back just because of the ambience.
Good service. But my shrimp carbonara came out too salty. The mixed drinks were delish. The total came out a bit pricey for the quality of the food.
We were able to dine in now that 25 percent is allowed. We were the only one in the restaurant. Everyone was in the patio. We had to fill out a form for the city of San Jose. The service was good. The food was only above average for us. We had the calamari for appetizer. The batter was good but the calamari was a little chewy. We're calamari aficionados so our standard is a little high. I had the pork chop. It was juicy enough, but a little on the bland side. It was also a little small. The wife had the steak. Again it was juicy but a little bland. So it was an above average dining experience.
I was here working for a week and was eating fast food and my body was highly upset about the whole food situation. On our last day in town I found this place with great reviews. Bartender was great and answered all our questions, I finally went with the pork chop. It was easily hands down, the best pork chop I ever had the pleasure of enjoying. Add a old fashioned and I was in a great place to be. Absolutely 🔥. Will definitely return to give the 5 Starz this place deserves. Do yourself a favor and just go!
This is a pub in San Fernando. I drank beer during happy hour. I ate French fries as a side dish. The price is relatively cheap. The atmosphere had a strong old pub feel, the TV was placed so that people could enjoy it comfortably, and the old photos were also nice to see. However, many of the guests were accompanied by dogs. Please keep this in mind when considering the atmosphere. The clerk was friendly. As the location is in a busy area, consider paid parking or street parking.
I like this place because of their wide beer selection. They had a seasonal pumpkin Hazy during Halloween! Super fun. It can get crowded but can be fun on the weekend. \nDrinks: 10/10\nAmbience: 8/…

prices are out of control & don't think they ever go down. O'Flaherty's used to be reasonably priced but those days are long gone
Ended up going there for dinner and would not recommend. I had the fish and chips and it was served med to cold - the fish was barely warm and rubbery. My partner had the shepherds pie (ground …
Came here for brunch today and it was OK. I think if they had more staff my review would have been 4 stars. Our waiter seemed as though he was the only waiter working, and unfortunately drink and food did take awhile. That being said I didn’t realize Sunday’s were only the brunch menu and he did tell me the kitchen could accommodate me ordering Mac + cheese. He was very accommodating and I think had he had more time to dedicate to each table it would have been a better overall experience. The food was just OK. I will be back to see how it is in a few months maybe.
We came during happy hours. $10 on selected appetizers, $5 on selected beers/ wines/ cocktails. Their mussels are good! We also ordered the wings, bison burger, calamari, a couple of HH drinks, and our total before tips was $90. Will probably come back for the mussels and try other entrees. Though we will sit at the bar next time, the sit down area was a little loud even though there were not many people inside.
We came here for some dinner and drinks, my Husband and I. The place looked pretty packed and the menu looked good. We decided to try it out. We were not impressed with the food. My Philly had lots of fat in the meat. My husband's steak was not the cut they said it was. However, the cocktail was delicious! And the waiters were very nice.
Nice establishment, the staff was polite an incitefull of the menu. The ambiance was nice as we chose to sit outside an enjoy the San Jose 🌙. The food was an I would definitely be back an recommend.

Cute pub, loved the live music night. Great happy hour deals thursday nights. I liked the fries. Service was fine too.
Read that a Celtic band performs here on Tuesdays! So we drove. The band is great! What a cool cultural, fun and unique attraction for a weeknight in downtown San Jose! As exciting as the band was, the service and food is proportionally awful. A girl with long purple hair and a short, brunette BOTH waited on the table providing embarrassingly poor service. Made the mistake of ordering a SPICY chicken sandwich. Boy, it has a kick. Problem is, Acid Reflux. Both dad and I missed this important note upon ordering it. Waitresses kept asking what we wanted drink. I wanted something but they offered no help, suggestions, even when prompted and I felt a bad vibe/total apathy from both. Sort of a bad attitude as if I was inconveniencing them. ALSO, IMPORTANT: not once was water offered, asked about with SPICY food. I had to get up and ask the bartender for water with “no ice”. He was chill about my request, but pointed to a SELF SERVICE option which had ice in it! Hello: Why is it self-service water if there is TABLE SERVICE? Clearly they didn’t expect a tip. So we didn’t! Something I don’t believe in. Also felt very uncomfortable during the whole experience. Poor dad had a visibly terrible reaction to the food and the waitresses could not have cared less. NO ONE CAME TO CHECK ON US after food was delivered. Sandwich reflected attitudes: no one cares.. slightly burnt. Leaving very sad. Will never go back and will warn my friends.

Treating patrons as cattle is not a business model. I fear for the safety of people as cops were called after the bouncer pepper sprayed non aggressive friends of mine.

They lie about their closing time! Also, do not go to this bar if you dont want the bouncer to isolate members of your group! I was separated from my friends upon entry at this bar when we were looking for the last round of the night. That itself may be forgiven if the bouncer felt like not separating me was a liability for the business (although im not sure what bar would want to split up parties as a way to keep business). What I think is most disingenuous is the fact that they kick everyone out at 1:40 am even though they claim to close at 2. Presumably they would make last call at around 1:30 and then let people hang around their establishment until the posted closing time. Instead, everyone in the bar was kicked out at 1:40. If everyone needs to be out by 1:40, their closing time should be listed as 1:40 So, not only did the staff try to isolate members from my friend group (who we wanted to look after but couldn't without staying on the street), but they also decided to kick everyone out almost 30 minutes early. Frankly I've never encountered an Irish pub that showed such lack of regard for their customers safety, along with false advertising (closing almost 30 minutes early, especially during the holidays). It almost seems like they're too comfortable with being (allegedly) the last bar to close nearby, that they think they can take their patrons for granted. Its a shame because ive heard good things about their Rasputin stout in particular, and I'm sure their other drinks are good, but unless if this is the type of bar you want to go to leave one of your homies on the curb, and get involuntarily shut out almost 30 mins before the posted closing time, I'd suggest getting your stout elsewhere.
I went to this pub with my friends for Halloween. I didn’t bring my ID because I wasn’t planning to drink. I just wanted to go in, hang out, and maybe grab some fries. At other pubs I’ve been to, they usually check IDs when you order alcohol, so I didn’t expect a problem. However, when I tried to explain this, the security at the door suddenly yelled at me. He shouted “It’s required by the law!” in a very aggressive and intimidating way. It completely caught me off guard. I’ve been feeling anxious ever since. I fully understand and respect the law, but there is absolutely no reason to yell at someone. The way he handled the situation was unprofessional and unnecessarily harsh. I hope the management provides proper training so staff can enforce rules with basic respect for people.
