Nicely priced and delicately spiced, with a much wider variety on the menu than most pho places. Quite good. Make sure you bring cash, no cards.

I went to pick up some food for an elderly resident and the staff were so wonderful. Not only was the food prepared quickly but as I waited, they brought me tea, which was delicious. They then made sure that my “to go” order was packaged properly for easy transport. The food looked amazing, the staff were great! Highly recommend.

This is the best Pho so far I have tried in the Bay Area. It filled my tummy and soul. The broth is rich and flavorful and a lot of meat. The portions are very generous. The restaurant is clean and simple. The service is friendly and welcoming. It is a family owned restaurant that's been around many years. I highly recommend this place when you want a Pho.

Pho 54 is my go-to place for a comforting bowl of pho. I’ve been coming here since I was little, and the quality of the pho has remained consistently how I like it. Light, flavorful broth, with chewy noodles, and offers rare beef on the side. No frills and fast service, this place is a quintessential Vietnamese pho spot. You can’t go wrong with a bowl of pho here, chicken or beef!

11.19.25 2:30pm Our absolute fave pho and bun restaurant, they don't serve anything else, now open 7 days a week. This restaurant has been here for 40 years! It's a no frills, cafeteria style, single family owned business with the kindest people staffed here. One of my doctors recommended this place. The pho broth is actually real, simmered bone broth instead of powdered soup base like 99% of other pho restaurants. We tested the broth, took it home, and it gelled completely in the fridge. Pho and bun are super fresh, with abundant amount of meat and fresh vegetables. My parents rate this restaurant's pho as the best tasting they ever ate, and they LOVE pho! We couldn't detect any msg flavor in the food. We overheard another Caucasian male patron, who was there for a pick up order, talking with the owner gentleman and he said he had been a loyal patron of this restaurant since 1997 and he drives down all the way from Castro Valley just to get the to-go pho from here. That has to be an hour's drive one way without heavy traffic. Currently there are at least 6 story apt buildings being built right next to and behind the restaurant. Parking lot is not plentiful but if dining at odd hours it won't be as busy. Thank you!

Best pho place in San Jose !! I’m not even exaggerating. Other places charge the same amount and give way less. This place will give you a big bowl. Customer service was the best I’ve had at any restaurant in all of San Jose !!!!!! Well definitely come back again!!!

best childhood place, always coming here for the pho and soda chanh (lemon soda). flavorful and delicious for so many years! as a kid, this place would give you free balloons, its a memory core! service is quick and fast, but if you need more time, let them know! they play k-pop videos in the background nowadays ‘cause it’s trendy! remembered that it was mostly paris by night or something like that! love that their interior and exterior haven’t changed, so it feels soo nostalgic! i do recommend people to try it out and servings can be a lot for most people! got me feeling extra full on my tummy!

This place gives home style vibe. The pho is great. I just moved to the area and have been looking for a good pho spot, although I’ve tried a few places I really enjoyed the soup broth they make as well as they give you lots of greens to add to the soup and I love that. The people that work here are so friendly the first time I went in I was sick I had a mask on and ordered to go a kind older lady came and brought me a tea I had mentioned I was only there for a to go order so she didn’t have to worry about extra dishes and she said “I know it’s to go have some tea anyways” honestly I definitely needed and for that and the food I made this my to go pho spot and anytime I order a to go order they always provide a cup of ice tea or hot tea. The only down fall is it is cash only.
