Opinions de Taqueria San Jose
Such a great meal here, with top notch service from everyone we came into contact with! It was a lucky find, as we were intending to eat at a place nearby which was closed due to repeated burglaries (😔). We had sushi rolls which were super tasty and so filling! Very satisfied with everything - even the restrooms were sparkling clean. I'll be back again when I visit San Jose next for sure. So worth it!
Came here a couple times and enjoyed the food along with the music and atmosphere. They play some bangers for music. The Super Micheladas along with the shrimp on top are seasoned so well together. Just the right amount of spicy. Their salsa is savory and can be added to anything you order there. The steak burrito was good too. It’s definitely become a go-to spot for me!
We went to Tequlas on Monterey Road during our lunch on a Friday. We left at 11:30 am and got there at 11:45 am. Upon arrival, the restaurant is very live and played mariachi music! We were seated as a party of 10. They had accommodations for more of as, as more friends came in. They were able to seat 16 of us. The food was delicious! I had a super quesadilla and they cut it into 3s! Served with a side of lettuce, onions, sour cream and guac! Chips kept coming! The strawberry Fresca was super tasty! Had a lot of fun here! If it’s someone’s birthday, you get a song, cupcake and if age, a shot! Enjoy!
This place is a sister/brother location of Tequila Taqueria in San Jose on Leigh Ave and Central Expressway. The food is 5 star excellent. The Tilapia Fish Tacos are the best of San Jose Ca. It is not breaded coated fish like those frozen fish eeewww! It is fresh fish grilled on the oven and served with two small tortillas with grilled onions and red radish slices and a grilled jalapeno and lemon slices to put on your tacos. The hot salsa is very SPICY. OMG! If you want to try AUTHENTIC MEXICAN COMIDA/FOOD try this place out or the one on Leigh Ave. The chefs are great well trained and know how to cook your food right. The waitresses are fantastic. Stephanie is one of my favorite, she is a class act and professional and courteous.
Such a great environment for decent Mexican food and drinks. The huge plus here is the amazing servers, the fast service, and just the general “vibe” you get from a great restaurant where random dances can bust out in any corner. The [ambiente] This place feels like what you would expect in a busy red light district. There’s outdoor and indoor seating. Great Latin music everywhere. Free shots, the servers are beautiful and friendly, and at night the dining area becomes a place where people feel free to dance and relax. It’s the closest thing to Mexico without being in Mexico! [The Food and Drink] The food here is mostly Mexican dishes ranging from the basics. Enchiladas, tacos, burritos, and dishes. They also have Mexican themed sushi! The cocktail selections here are pretty limited but they have plenty of tequila and other beers on hand! I highly rate this place for the price, vibe, and service! The food is decent but not over the top. Overall, for the price this is an amazing location for a Friday night out, a special date, or just someone trying to escape the grind of the Bay Area and feel like they’re in Latin America!
This place is always a good vibe with good music and great food! I go to this place all the time to watch live games like football or soccer. Alot of the times they have live music with either mariachi or banda playing. You wont be disappointed!
Authentic atmosphere feel, great and helpful staff, great mix of authentic and american Mexican food. Delicious. Had the chicken enchiladas. I will be back.
A good friend of mine invited me here, and after looking at the photos of the food, I agreed to go. I'm glad I did, because this place has amazing seafood, and drinks!! Its got quite the ambiance, and is very lively.
Always good food and excellent service. My favorite is their aguachile, parrillada, and my daughter loves their sushi. Also, can't go wrong with tacos 😋 their drinks are also bomb!
Delicious food, very friendly service. Definitely one of the best restaurants I have visited.
Hands down one of the best places to enjoy some good seafood. Service was quick our small group had zero complaints. 👍🏼
Food was fantastic! Great atmosphere. Highly recommend
Visiting from NYC. Stopped here for lunch and loved it. The restaurant was recommended from the tire repair shop in the area… food was delicious and fresh. All the ingredients were top grade. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Best Mexican cuisine restaurant so far on my travels in California. Thank you for the delicious lunch and I will remember, recommend and come back on my next visit.
Mexican here. This is my go-to spot for Mexican food in Bridgeport. Great service, great tacos. The chicken mole is also really good. My favorite menu item though: the nachos with carne de res. Can’t get enough of them.
The torta I got was very delicious and the atmosphere was nice and quiet. They have public restrooms and air conditioning. Excellent restaurant.
The food is okay but the place is just a vibe and they be open late it’s always a mixed crowd eating and chillin it’s laid back
Didn’t expect too much from a local door dash experience. Food was all amazing and the nacho platter especially. Jalapeños were sweet not spicy for all my fellow white folk who can’t handle heat. Amazing experience, inspired me to start leaving reviews.
I’ve been going to this amazing taqueria for 2 years dedicated too these natural fruit drinks now don’t get me wrong these are the BEST TACOS IN CHICAGO hands down amazing employees and atmosphere just wish they had bigger space it’s possible with more support but this natural juice right here the refreshing is my everyday all day which would you pick go see for yourself
Very good food. Everything was fresh and tasty 😋 Definitely worth the visit.
The staff is incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere is welcoming. The food is tasty, though the portions could be a bit larger. The seasoning is just right, and we usually go for the steak tacos. However, on a couple of occasions, we found some bones in the tacos, which was a bit off-putting. Despite that, it's still a decent spot for a quick meal!
Had high hopes for this place but the emotional rollercoaster never quite made it to the top. The burrito looked promising but lacked seasoning. The flavors were muted. Drinks took long to arrive. The fajitas were mediocre, though the chicken was cooked well. Service was friendly and the atmosphere was energetic. It was a kind of place that didn’t offend, but didn’t impress either.
Had the camarones with al mojo de ajo and although slightly overdone, they still were very good. The ladyfriend had the grilled tilapia that was moist and tasty. Good beans !! All around nice weekend lunch
Delicious food, amazing service, and an atmosphere that really rocks—literally. The music was so loud I wasn’t sure if I was dining or attending a surprise rave. Shouting at my date across the table really brought us closer. Who needs small talk when you can bond over lip-reading and hand gestures? To the staff: you nailed the food and friendliness. To the DJ (or whoever’s in charge of the speakers): my ears will be recovering for the next 3-5 business days. Thanks for the memories—some of which I may never hear again. Would recommend—just bring earplugs and maybe a megaphone. 🎧🍽️
Every time I have been there it's been crowded. The service was ok at first just don't complain about something cause then you wait for whatever you were expecting. The food was cold but the drinks were good. The waitress if you didn't tip her they w are you rude and talk about you. Meaning if you didn't tip what they expect or want they are rude .
The food is decent my reason for 3 stars is because I ordered the steak burrito dinner. I asked to add sour cream. The cost for that was $5. Are you kidding me. $5 for a tablespoon of sour cream. Unbelievable. That's just greed. I have eaten here before and had the same thing. But they didn't try to charge me $5. Things like this are a red flag for me. Even though the food is okay, I will not be ordering here again
I’ve lived in this neighborhood for many years and did not know this place existed until we were looking for a place open late at night. The staff was very welcoming when we walked in and they served us quickly. I will be honest, the salsa was very watery and the flavor didn’t hit the spot. The tacos were good and they came out quickly. As for the camarones a la diabla, I wish they were more spicy but I understand not many people like them spicy.
I’ve visited this restaurant before, but this was my first time dining in—and unfortunately, it will be my last. I’m not sure if it was an off day or a different cook, but the food was extremely disappointing, especially since I was treating my friend for Taco Tuesday. The customer service was excellent and the atmosphere was clean and welcoming. However, the quality of the food did not match. The rice was unusually dry and lacked flavor, and the tacos were equally unsatisfying. I ordered two steak tacos and one chicken taco, and all of them were cold due to the sour cream and cheese overpowering the already lukewarm meat. It also seemed like the corn shells were not fried or warmed at all—there was no crispness or trace of oil. My friend didn’t eat any of her tacos because she ordered all chicken and found them inedible as well. The only thing we truly enjoyed were the homemade chips. I’m really disappointed because this restaurant is conveniently close to my home, but now I’ll have to look for another taco spot in the area. Good luck.
I am very disappointed at this place. This was my go to place for seafood. Don't get me wrong the taste of the food is good but with the service they provide now, it ruins the whole experience. I went there with my wife and we ordered drinks it took them about 10 minutes to bring them which is not that bad but it took them about another 10 to come and take our order. After that it literally took 30 minutes to bring our food when they brought it it was incomplete so we waited an extra 5 and that's because I had to call someone. The servers were different every time there was no communication among them, they would blame everything on the kitchen saying they were swamped but the place was not even a third full. After reading some reviews I noticed ppl are complaining about the same. So I would not recommend this spot anymore.
The main thing is this. You charged me $50 for a seafood molcajete. And in the end I got eight shrimp with the head on and a few muscles and some random seafood. We all know the price of seafood . Honestly you could have gave me more or charge me less. It's fine it is what it is but I won't be coming back for this thank you and the females there are amazing
I ordered two torta dinners and both of my dinners. We’re not good at all. I ordered a steak dinner and a steak was all dried and red and the food was cold. I will never ever go back to this place again. I do not know who the cooks are, but they do not know how to cookvery very unsatisfied and I’ve always gone there all the time because I live close by now I definitely find another place to order from.
Service is terrible. You don’t get waters unless you ask. Some of the servers are plain rude. My server threw the menus aggressively and did not even greet us. She also got our orders wrong - incorrect amount of tacos and incorrect drink sizes. Didn’t bother asking her to fix it because the food is not worth it. The torta de Milanesa de res is a joke! It is paper thin, barely any meat and it will be one layer of it, you’ll taste more beans than anything else. Overpriced and taste is not there. Id avoid this place if you want good Mexican food.
I order some tacos and I ask if there' was lime in the bag she said that was extra $1.79 for a side of limes crazy that them tacos don't come with some slices of limes very disappointed 😒 shouldn't of known better there was only 2 people eating in the restaurant will never go back again .....
Food was undercooked , thick older women cashier for some reason is always in a bad mood. It’s hit and miss with service & food -I’m sorry it’s not worth it.
First and last time coming here. Waitress/Cashier was talking on the phone THE ENTIRE TIME we dined in and did not check on us once. When I walked up to the pay the tab she prioritized serving herself jello a coworker offered her than to give me my total. On top of that she had a bad attitude that I “Interrupted” her . Food was ok. FYI : Burrito tortilla comes cold. Only portion that was hot was the side where steak was.
Found some sort of hair/material around the jalapeño. Contacted the restaurant and they wanted to give me a $1 credit and asked me if I wanted to go pick up a jalapeño. How ridiculous considering the fact that I’ve purchased from them many times before. Goes to show how they run their restaurant. Will never be back. Simply pathetic.
I went here to eat today with my family and right before we were about to order, we saw mold on multiple tortilla chips served to us . When I asked why they served us moldy chips or if we could get another basket, the server proceeded to say that’s a “normal color” in the corn tortilla which is definitely not. She then proceeded to answer in Spanish (I respectfully let her know I am non Spanish speaking) and she continued to speak to me in Spanish as if I understood what she was telling me. She then proceeded to take our order in perfect English directly after… we ended up canceling the order and leaving the establishment. I’m disgusted and usually I have a good experience with this place but I don’t think I’ll be coming here again after this.
