The food is underrated here. Everything from the curry dish to the mozzarella sticks is delicious. Fair price and good portions. Very welcoming and laid back atmosphere.

I went here on a Friday at around 9:30 or 10 and was able to get a table in the back easily. This is such a nice and laid back place. The appetizer portions were bigger than I expected which was a nice surprise! Our table got the garlic fries, curry fries, mac n' cheese bites, and the sausage appetizer. They were hot and delicious. Great for sharing with everyone at the table! There's a dart board in the back near the fireplace if you want to play a game. I didn't hang out near the front so I'm not sure if there's anything to do up there besides enjoy your friends' company. It's a great place to do that too as it is not too loud.

They close at midnight which is nice. Never really any riff raff or rowdy crowds. Definitely recommend this spot. Food is really good too.

Fantastic English style pub, feels very authentic. Bartenders are great, add the beer is even better. Lots of hard to find true pub brews, including a nice selection of cask conditioned beers. Highly recommended for something unique in Downtown SJ.

It's one of the very few "pubs" I've been to in my life that was an actual pub! It felt exactly like it should. A little dingy, but still tasteful. Good beer at a reasonable price, and when I was there, a German band playing in literhosen. The staff behind the bar was courteous and prompt.

This place is great for the alcohol and their bartenders have good personalities. The food is standard fare, but when you're drunk everything tastes great. Trivia night is also a fun time and you can have groups of 3 (or 4), so bring some friends and have a great time!

Awesome historic building. Has genuine, old charm in a city thats bustling with the modern, new, and synthetic. Drinks and service were good. Food was pretty yummy too. I liked my Shepherds Pie. Will return again another time.

Had a chill Friday evening here and got a ploughman's plate, though one of the cheeses was a bit fungal. Decent prices & friendly staff. We took vta here, but parking might be possible on nearby streets.

You have to wait for your drinks at the bar, but they'll bring the food to you. From what I understand, that's typical pub style.
