Best donuts I've ever had. Moist and savory. Fairly priced, clean area interior. Parking can be tight but they have quick service. Will return indefinitely. Very glad we bought a whole box.

This place is a hidden gem in downtown SJ! Delicious vegan donuts, close to home. They're light and fluffy but don't get too excited about deep and complex flavors. The Boston Cream was good but not overly flavorful. I also tried the fruity pebbles which was pretty good. Nonetheless, I'm pretty happy just to have them around as a treat- beggars can't be choosers.

It’s rare to find vegan donuts in the Bay Area. I must say they make really delicious ones and have a lot of flavors available. Their custard filled donuts are so good!! I will come back again whenever I have a sugar rush!!

Oh My God!! I cannot believe it !!! These vegan donuts are AMAZING. They are not enough words to explain how much I love this place. 1) The donuts!! They have fluffy/raised donuts and cake donuts, both of which are incredible. It’s common to find vegan cake donuts but this is the first time I have seen a raised donut, that too such delicious. The texture of both donuts is perfect and the donut taste is definitely there. You can NOT tell it apart from normal donuts. And I love the amount of flavors you can get. 2) The store: The shop is spacious and quite clean, many tables are available. 3) Owner is super nice and understanding. 4) Price: You would expect the price for such delicious donuts to be high, but it’s not! You can get 6 big and fluffy donuts for only 10 dollars. 4) Coronavirus: The owner is always seen with a mask and gloves, hand sanitizes after every transaction and is seen keeping the shop generally clean. 10/10 DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!!

Vegan Bistro serves up some good eats in downtown San José California. Delicious donuts, banh mi sandwiches, Vietnamese Coffee, Thai Iced Tea, and smoothie bowls. Window seating, kind staff, metered parking in front, and fair prices. Delicious!

I went in to grab some donuts because a lot of other shops were closed today… I was greeted with a big smile and excitement for being their first customer on New Years! She was the sweetest person ever. The donuts looked and tasted so yummy. I will for sure come back here. I think this might become my new donut spot!

The vegan donuts in San Jose are insanely good! The matcha donut is my absolute favorite, and the one with chocolate on the outside and cream inside is rich, decadent, and absolutely irresistible. This is definitely a place you need to visit if you love amazing plant-based treats!

Awesome vegan banh mi and the only 100% vegan banh mi place in SJ. Didn't try their donuts or gelato but they looked amazing. Def recommend. I also had their passion fruit smoothie...best I've ever had. They now have a "breakfast" banh mi that's amazing anytime of day. Love this place. It's Buddhist owned business which committed to love and no harm to animals. We need more of this place in the world.

I was happy to find vegan donuts near a family's home. I was pleasantly surprised everything was vegan friendly at this bistro! I ordered a dirty matcha latte 😋 Then a Spicy Lemongrass bahn mi vegan sandwich 😋 3 donuts : Guava; was a nice sweet treat Maple bar; so delighted to have one - it has been a long time! This is a shared store with the Banhmi shop. Although I came for the banhmi, the donuts are amazing. If I hadn't purchased this myself, I wouldn't have believed the donuts were vegan. They are indistinguishable from non-vegan ones. I'm convinced we don't have to use eggs or dairy to make donuts after this experience.

This vegan bistro in downtown San Jose is a hidden gem! I had the pleasure of trying their “Ocean of Love” sandwich, and it did not disappoint. The sandwich is a delightful mix of chickpeas, hearts of palm, soy protein, celery, red onions, tomatoes, and cucumbers, all garnished with cilantro and basil. The flavors were so well-balanced, and the fresh baguette added a nice crunch to every bite. Additionally, I ordered the Passion Dragon smoothie, and it was fantastic. Made with passion fruit, dragon fruit, mango, almond milk, and agave, it was incredibly refreshing and had a perfect natural sweetness. For anyone seeking mouthwatering vegan options, this bistro is a must-visit. Both the sandwich and smoothie were delicious, and I’ll definitely be back for more!

Beautiful selection of great-tasting, fresh donuts. A friend heard of Vegan Bistro because they host vegan gelato from Loafy Shark Desserts. We tried it today and enjoyed a selection of donuts and made-to-order smoothies. Service was prompt, professional, and friendly. Great for vegans and non-vegans alike.

Came for an early morning meeting and was greeted by amicable staff. Plenty of seating indoors. Street parking can be a bit chaotic. The berry smoothie was great, not too sweet. Pastries looked good and several customers bought some. Ambiance was relaxing. Bathrooms were clean.

I used to love their donuts even with all Vegan menu. Quality seems deteriorated and chocolate more feel like water than what they used to offer. Hope they fix their quality challenges soon.
