I recently had the pleasure eating at Masala Pizza, and I must say, the food exceeded all my expectations. Every dish was packed with flavor, but two stood out as absolute highlights. First, the Tikka Pizza was a game-changer. The creamy tikka sauce paired with perfectly spiced chicken was an unexpected yet brilliant fusion of flavors. The crispy crust and the rich, aromatic spices made each bite a true delight. The Samosa Smash Pizza was another favorite of mine. The crispy, golden samosas, combined with the tangy chutney and fresh ingredients, created a unique and satisfying experience. The mix of textures from the samosas and the pizza base was absolutely delicious. Overall, this was an unforgettable meal, and I’ll definitely be returning for more of these inventive and mouthwatering pizzas! Highly recommend both the Tikka Pizza and Samosa Smash Pizza
A Midnight Feast That Changed Everything It all started at 12:30 AM—the kind of hour where hunger doesn’t whisper, it roars. I was standing at the crossroads of discipline and indulgence, torn between my commitment to fitness and the irresistible pull of a late-night masterpiece: Masala Pizza’s Chicken Tikka Pizza. I told myself, Just two slices. A test of willpower. A challenge to my self-control. But what I didn’t realize was that those two slices weren’t just food—they were an experience. The Arrival of Greatness The moment I cracked open the box, I was hit with an aroma so divine, it was practically holy—a fusion of charred, smoky tikka spice, the richness of melting cheese, and the unmistakable warmth of freshly baked naan. Yes, you read that right. This wasn’t just a pizza crust—this was naan bread, cooked to golden, crispy perfection, its edges kissed by fire, with just the right amount of chew. And then came the toppings: 🔥 Authentic tikka sauce, bold and tangy, coating every inch like a sacred marinade. 🌶️ Crisp bell peppers & onions, sliced to perfection, adding a crunch that cut through the richness like a symphony of textures. 🧀 Cheese & moti, stretching, oozing, melding into the tikka sauce like a flawless duet. 🌿 Cilantro lime drizzle, a burst of zesty freshness, pulling everything together with a vibrant, citrusy kick. And to top it all off? A side of garlic aioli. A sauce so smooth, so garlicky, that it should be illegal. The First Bite – A Moment of Truth I lifted my first slice. The naan had that perfect crispness—the kind where the bottom is firm, but the inside remains pillowy soft, absorbing just enough sauce without getting soggy. The cheese stretched as I took a bite, and that’s when I knew: This wasn’t just pizza. This was art. The smokiness of the tikka sauce danced with the richness of the cheese, while the cilantro-lime drizzle cut through like a burst of freshness, resetting my palate for the next bite. The balance of flavors was so precise, so deliberate, it was clear that this pizza wasn’t made—it was engineered. The Battle of Self-Control I finished my second slice. My body demanded more. My soul demanded more. But I had made a pact with myself—I was on a fitness journey, and I was going to practice moderation. So, with every ounce of restraint, I closed the box. The remaining two slices stared at me, calling my name, whispering promises of flavor yet to be explored. But I walked away. The Morning After – A Miracle Unfolds I woke up the next morning, bracing myself for the damage. But then—a miracle. Yesterday, I was 170.1 lbs. This morning? 168.5 lbs. I had eaten pizza—real, flavorful, indulgent pizza—and still lost weight. Why? Because this wasn’t your average greasy, gut-busting, regret-inducing slice. No—Masala Pizza was portioned to perfection. Every bite was satisfying, every ingredient crafted with intention, making sure I got the full experience without overindulgence. The Verdict Masala Pizza isn’t just food. It’s an adventure. A journey of flavors, textures, and indulgence wrapped in just the right amount of discipline. It’s proof that you don’t have to sacrifice taste for fitness—you just have to eat the right pizza. And if you haven’t tried it yet? You’re missing out on one of life’s greatest culinary experiences. 📍 Masala Pizza – where late-night cravings become legendary stories.
I can’t recommend Masala Pizza enough – this place is an upcoming gem in San Jose! If you’re craving something unique and full of bold, delicious flavors, this is the spot to hit. The fusion of classic Indian spices with the comfort of a perfectly crafted pizza is nothing short of culinary magic. The crust is crispy on the outside, soft and chewy inside, and topped with the most flavorful masala sauce I’ve ever had. Every bite bursts with authentic spices that make you feel like you’re enjoying the best of both worlds – Indian street food and gourmet pizza. We tried the Butter Chicken Pizza and the Paneer Tikka Pizza – absolute game changers. The butter chicken was rich, creamy, and had just the right amount of heat, while the paneer was perfectly marinated and grilled to perfection. The toppings were generous, and the flavors were layered so thoughtfully. Not only is the food incredible, but the atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff is friendly and attentive. You can tell they really care about the quality of their food and the experience of their customers. Whether you’re a fan of Indian cuisine or just looking for a new twist on pizza, Masala Pizza is a must-try. Trust me – you’ll be coming back for more!
It’s my first time having Chicken Tikka Masala on a pizza, and I really enjoyed it. Diced onions and green peppers, cheese, sauces and a dusting of spice all contributed to a unique flavor. The texture of the pan crust is also unique, reminiscent of nan, yet with the sandy feeling of corn meal on the underside. Overall, a very yummy creation. The staff and management who handed me the pizza box came across as genuine, kind, friendly folks. I look forward to trying the rest of the menu.
If you’re craving amazing food ,masala pizza is the spot. Their Indian-inspired pizzas are packed with unique flavors , and the crust is always crispyy!! I also tried their chicken momos, and they’re the besttt-juicy, and cooked to perfection. Totally worth itttt!!!!
Masala Pizza offers some of the best Indian-fusion food I've ever had! While I've visited other places with similar concepts, this one really stood out due to its emphasis on flavor, the unique variety of menu options, and especially the creative pizza boxes. The staff was also incredibly attentive, taking the time to understand my family's preferences and recommending some of the best Indian-style pizzas I've tasted. The Samosa Smash and Gobi Manchurian pizza were particular highlights, along with the Tikka Momos. a If you're in the Bay Area, I highly recommend checking this place out! It is highly worth it!!
Been here 3 times now and have loved the food each time. The samosa smash pizza was really good and never expected potato on pizza to be so tasty. Hands down Chicken Tikka is the best with the unique flavors and sauces (photo posted) The staff is always incredibly friendly and remembered me each time I came back. They always have recommendations and can answer questions. Love this spot!!
food was incredible and workers were soooooo incredibly fun and kind! i was skeptical because a lot of indian-american fusions are never really appealing to me but this was amazing and flavorful and incorporated all aspects of South Asian flavors and food. we got the tikka flatbread 12inch pizza and the masala fries and these r the besttttt masala fries ive ever had. definitely a must-try for desis in the bay!
Last night we tried Samosa Smash and it was so good 💥. The guy Hiren he was on window. He suggested that pizza and also they had offer on Rice Bowl. Earlier we decided will order only pizza but he convinced us to get Bowl as well. So far it was nice experience. For sure i will come again.
Desi style Pizza was really good. We will go again. Delivery was super fast. If you are ordering thin crust you need one for each person.
Literally the best pizza I’ve had in this style. We constantly order here and their tikka pizza is insane. The fries are always crispy and perfect. The sauces are so dialed in. The only thing is the atmosphere is downtown but it’s so worth it it’s amazing
Delicious finger licking good food! We tried the chicken momos with moti sauce, firecracker paneer bowl, firecracker naan pizza and the samosa burger. The momos were my favorite - moist with lots of flavor , moti sauce had a nice kick and the sev on top added a lovely crunch. The naan pizza was yummy too.
They have a pickup window. I got two personal naan pizzas. It's $12 each which leans slight pricy for a pizza in general but fairly priced for Indian pizzas and compared to comparable restaurants. Both pizzas were really good and started crisp even after being cold in the box for a few hours. Flavors were good and they had some flavors not seen at other Indian pizza shops. Overall def recommend and will be back
Holy crap- it's tikka on a pizza! If you like medium souce at your local Indian restaurant, the firecracker isn't that much hotter. Pros- it's quick, it's the best combo ever, and it's tasty. Cons- I don't have enough days in San Jose to try everything! If you like naan bread, try their personal pizza. I had the chicken tikka and the chicken firecracker- both were great!
Easily the best Indian pizza I’ve had till date! We ordered the samosa smash and paneer tikka pizza. Both were delicious. The samosa smash had the flavors of an authentic samosa chaat and is definitely a must have. I’ve tried a lot of paneer tikka pizzas in the bay and none can compete the one here. If you enjoy a thin crust and true Indian flavors then this place is a must try 💯
Arrived Friday around 845pm. There were plenty of seatings for the four of us. Pizza arrived after 20-25 mins so I recommend ordering ahead and then come back! Firecracker pizza, $30 with tips, 8 slices for 12” pizza, thin crust. Street parking only for nearby. Plenty of gluten free or vegetarian options
Great experience at Mazala Pizza! The chicken tikka pizza and fries were fantastic. We also grabbed the momos and a chicken sandwich, and everything hit the spot. Definitely coming back for more!
Best Indian pizza in Bay Area that we’ve had, hands down. 100/10. Tried Tikka pizza with paneer, thin crust. Staff also very friendly, kind. We will be coming back!!
Highly highly recommend getting a samosa smash pizza on thin crust. We have tried thin crust and pan crust and can definetely say that the thin crust just tastes better. Love the loaded mazala fries, we always get it with our every order.
Finally had the chance to try this spot and oh my goodness, it was delicious. The flavors all paired together perfectly, and I can’t wait to have it again! This is the #1 tikka pizza 8” $12 I believe Definitely would recommend
A hidden gem in downtown San Jose I found this spot while making an effort to try new places in the city, and it quickly became one of my favorites. Being a window in the wall adds to its charm, with the option to sit outside or inside the public food hall right next to the window. Not to mention the friendliness of the staff, especially with Drew always happy to talk you through on deciding what to order depending on your preferences and dietary restrictions. You can tell he really cares about the service he provides and making Mazala Pizza an important part of the community. The half off and bogo deals on different items throughout the week make it a perfect option for a college student or anyone on a budget, which was why I was able to try pretty much every item on the menu the first week I started eating here. Their mainstay, being the tikka pizza, is always a top choice given its unique flavor and generous amounts of protein and sauce, and tastes even better especially at 2 am after a night out. The wings are generously coated in sauce, the chicken sandwiches are perfectly crispy and the Tuesday bogo bowls make it easily a smarter and tastier decision than Chipotle’s burrito bowls hands-down. You really can’t go wrong with any of the food items. My personal favorite has been the mazala fries. I’ve never been to a place that’s been able to serve fries with the so-called “perfect texture”, where it’s crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. This, coupled with their seasoning blend makes it easily one of the best in the city. I’ve genuinely never had cravings for fries until I tried the ones here. The quality of the food, amazing deals throughout the week, plenty of vegetarian options, and the friendliness of the staff makes this easily a soon-to-be staple of the local downtown food scene.
OMG this place was amazing!! We ordered the pan crust tikka paneer and the thin crust chicken tikka and both were so fire. We literally finished the pan crust pizza in the car we couldn’t wait to even get home. The fries, wings, and sandwiches were also really good. The food is very flavorful and the owner was super nice. It’s a family owned small business that is really working hard to create amazing Indian pizza!
Was walking with a group around the area after a musical event. They were offering free slices of pizza. I wasn’t even hungry but still they insisted so I tried the free slice of Chicken Tikka pizza. It was so nice and tasty with very yummy sauce drizzle they put on it. I ended up returning the very next day and getting a whole entire pizza. Very friendly people and some of the best curry pizza I’ve had(I recommend getting the thin crust) since it’s perfectly crispy and crust will never go to waste. Cheers and Thanks Masala Pizza for the free pizza y’all were giving away for hours!!!
recently tried the masala pizza and momos, and both were absolutely delightful! The masala pizza was a standout — loaded with rich, flavorful spices that gave it a unique Indian twist. The crust was perfectly baked, crispy on the outside yet soft inside, and every bite was bursting with bold, tangy flavors. The toppings were generous, and the masala seasoning added a mouthwatering depth that made it incredibly satisfying. It was definitely one of the best fusion pizzas I’ve had in a while. As for the momos, I really liked the Moti momos they were just as impressive. Soft and perfectly steamed, they had a juicy, well-seasoned filling that was both spicy and savory. Each bite delivered a punch of flavor, and the accompanying chutney took it to another level. The heat was just right — enough to kick in but not overpower the taste
Picked up dinner from here, and the pizzas were great. The thin-crust Paneer Tikka pizza was packed with great flavors and felt surprisingly light. The Samosa Smash pizza was good, but I liked the Tikka pizza more. The sauces that came on the side with the pizzas were good as well.

I really love the idea of making Indian pizzas. Tikka masala pizza and butter chicken are must try!! And even the protein bowls!! And the way they receive people is amazing!! Recommended for foddies!!
I've been twice now and it's so delicious. As a pescitarian it's so refreshing to find really delicious vegetarian food around that isn't just salads and veggie burgers. They have meat options that seem amazing too, overall a great variety. I also tried the rose lassi last time because they were out of mango and I honestly loved it more than I thought I would! I absolutely recommend this place to anyone.
Mazala Pizza in San Jose is a must-try for anyone looking to step beyond conventional pizza. This is more than just fusion; it's a vibrant, delicious experience that truly leans into authentic Indian flavors. The overall impression is one of high-quality ingredients and unique flavor profiles. We ordered two specialty items, the Paneer Tikka Pizza and the Samosa Chaat Pizza, and both were bursting with character. The Paneer Tikka Pizza was truly exceptional. It was intensely flavorful, but the secret weapon here is the spread—which feels much more like a rich Indian chutney than a typical pizza sauce. This chutney was extremely tasty, lending the entire tikka pizza an interesting and deeply satisfying flavor that makes it stand out from other Indian-style pizza joints. The Samosa Chaat Pizza is arguably the most unique offering. It is exactly what it sounds like: the complex flavor profile of samosa chaat—sweet, tangy, and spicy all at the same time—layered onto a pizza crust. As a first-time eater of this creation, I found it to be a bold and unforgettable experience. While I wasn't personally a huge fan of the chaat elements on a pizza, my wife absolutely adored it, proving it's a wonderfully divisive, conversation-starting dish. If you appreciate genuinely unique and highly flavorful food, Mazala Pizza is highly recommended for its commitment to authentic and interesting Indian flavors.

Total Score: 7.61 Bathroom: N/A Didn’t use the bathroom Customer Service: 5/5 Super chill and friendly, also gave us another free personal pizza even with our coupon. I like the small family business vibes. Ambiance: 4/5 Not sure if I should rate this but it was outdoor seating only. But there was someone cleaning the tables so that was nice. But ig the homeless on the street is unavoidable Food: 4.25/5 The pizza I got (masala) was kinda plain, just chicken and masala. However the one my bf got (samosa smash) was p bussin. Nice kick of spice, and also LOADED with toppings Wow: 0/1 Normal American restaurant Total Score = (CS + 2*AM + 5*FOOD + WOW)/0.9
Loved the food at Mazala Pizza! The flavors were amazing and definitely worth trying. The only downside is that it feels a bit pricey for the atmosphere, but overall, it’s a must-try spot.
The smashed samosa pizza is phenomenal. Some of the best Indian fusion pizzas I've had in Cali. The firecracker momo had way too much firecracker sauce but tasted great.
Randomly stumbled across this place, and I’m usually not a fan of the fusion but the samosa smash pizza was excellent. Thin crust is recommended. Will definitely be back to try the tikka

4/29 Update - I ordered a personal pizza today. Added extra ingredients to bring it to $22. The pizza seemed smaller than last time (approx 5 1/2" x 6 1/2") and sadly my 'no cilantro on the pizza' was not followed and it was pretty much covering the pizza. If you are a person who genetically can't eat cilantro, this is basically inedible. I can not even try to fake it and endure the distaste. Sadly, they were made aware and did not offer to replace it or even partially credit my order. I will have to contemplate returning. This is an expensive lunch to end up in the garbage. :( It looks good but smaller than I would imagine for that price. Food was fresh. One Manchurian naan and one Butter Chicken thin crust to compare. The naan was cooked well and wasn't dry. The toppings were good and the ratio of sauce was ideal but I would've liked more onion or maybe jalapeno. The spicy red sauce on the side was soooo good and so hot! The white sauce was good to cut the heat. I would recommend a naan pizza to dip your toes in the water. The thin crust was missing a bit. There was no sauce on the bottom so the flavor wasn't very strong. The crust was overcooked as you can see but I have friends who love that burntness. The garlic sprinkle was very light tasting-minced fresh would be ideal, or onions to add flavor. I prefer veggie but for people who eat chicken this is good also. We will definitely return. I would love it if they added a potato cauliflower pizza like a local competitor. ;) I look forward to trying their momo, but today I only saw chicken filled on the menu and although I eat it, it's not my go-to. The thin crust issues brought it down from a 4-star rating but not by much.
Loved the tikka pizza, even though it was on the smaller side. But the momos were a letdown—bland, with a sweet sauce that didn’t go with them at all. Next time, I’m definitely choosing another pizza instead.
I had this butter chicken sandwich, the chicken patty isn't fried well, batter was raw. The whole sandwich had a very mixed taste but in a bad way. wouldn't recommend this one. The dry rub garlic wings were salty Masala fries were really good with very well seasoning. Tried the tikka pizza both chicken and paneer, paneer Pizza is mid. Tried momos as well, which were great.

Service and food was really awesome. The fact that you charge 27% more ($13.99 for $11 sandwich) when ordering from kiosk as compared to ordering from window really sucks! I NEVER saw such a big price difference anywhere. Management should fix this.
Do not order delivery from their website. Had to order over $25 worth of food and there was a $12 delivery fee. Received an email to call the restaurant as my order hadn’t been confirmed. Called, first they couldn’t find it, then told me it was made, they were waiting on the driver. Over an hour later, no food. Called the restaurant again and they told me sorry, no driver showed up.
