These employees go up and above the Call of Duty and are kind and generous. Oftentimes they will just bring a free pizza out to the homeless, ill, suffering, disabled, and poor. They actually stopped and talked with you and ask how you're doing.
Great atmosphere, super delicious fresh food nutritious and super tasty! You feel awesome during and after this meal! The raw cakes are the best desserts! Highly recommended.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Five Stars – New Favorite Spot! Vegetarian House has officially become my new favorite place. I just finished the Blessing Bowl, and it was absolutely amazing. The savory vegan protein paired perfectly with the kimchi, fresh cucumber, and pickled carrot & daikon, all served over fragrant jasmine rice and topped with sesame seeds. Even better—it’s gluten-free and full of flavor. Everything tasted fresh, balanced, and incredibly satisfying. The staff was also very kind and welcoming, which made the experience even better. If you’re looking for delicious vegan food in San Jose, I highly recommend this place. I’ll definitely be back!
My reviews are coming in after I have taken out from this place multiple times in last 4 years. The food here is amazing every time. I truly appreciate restaurants owners & management when they keep their quality & standard the same after so many years in service.
My partner and I picked up our vegan and gluten free best friend from the airport and sought refuge from the rain and a hot meal here. We used to live in downtown and never got around to trying this place, which had been recommended to us quite a few times. Can't believe we waited this long! There's just an air of coolness that oozes from this building, which has a lot of character. That, and one of the ladies who works here (one of the owners maybe?) has the coolest glasses I've ever seen. All the staff we spoke with were so sweet and lovely to chat with. My partner got the guru curry and my best friend and I tried the stroganoff - the stroganoff was great, but that guru curry was fantastic and I'm sincerely still thinking of it three weeks later. The food is delicious, hearty, filling, rich in flavors and textures, and I'm quite picky when I try vegan/vegetarian dishes. Portions are generous, especially for their price - makes sense as I believe the intent is for them to be able to be shared family-style (though my partner was loath to share the curry once they picked up on the fact I liked it more than my own dish!) Hoping to come back for another visit soon!
Honestly the best vegan restaurant in South Bay serving a mix of Asian-based foods and also Western-based foods. Best dishes are the Eggplant Sizzle and Stroganoff, but you really can't go wrong with any of the dishes with all dishes VERY reasonably priced. Note that it's takeout during weekdays and the dining room is open during weekends. They do have a nice parking lot with ~20 spots The food is flavorful and comes out quickly. They're very accommodating of allergies and can remove ingredients most times and showcase which allergies are in the food. The staff are friendly and quite attentive, although you do grab your own tableware from a communal table.
!!!Please Read!!! !!UPDATE 12/11/25!! Look I won't leave a vegan place less than 5 stars because we need them all... but I will tell the truth. I ordered the stroganoff and when you picture something and describe it in a way that it does not come out it's not cool. The stroganoff is pictured with this CREAMY WHITE sauce, and described as such, and it came out brown and extremely runny. Like water runny. Taste is pretty bad too. The bread was good!... but it's hard to mess that up. Would not have ordered this and paid $25 (got the extras and tax) if it reflected the truth. I didn't even end up eating any. My buddy, who's not vegan, enjoyed his very much however. He got the joyful tofu. Just don't order the stroganoff... you will be dissatisfied. Outside dining only except on weekends. The owners are friendly. UPDATE: So my coworker has been dreaming of that Joyful Tofu, he really liked it because he's hard to please, and wanted to go back next time we were in town. They have such a large menu, so I wasn't opposed to giving them another try especially when I kinda blame myself for ordering Stroganoff from a heavy Asian menu which is obviously their forte. So this time I got the Spring roll noodle dish....and my GAWD!!! One of the best things I've eaten!! So they definitely redeemed themselves and then some!! It was phenomenal! Thank you so much! My belly is full and extremely happy! Updated the review to reflect this amazing experience!
We used the catering service for a party of 30 guests. The food was absolutely delicious. The presentation (it arrived hot and each dish was clearly labeled) was perfect, and the delivery process was so friendly and generous and helpful! All of our guests were delighted and asked about the restaurant. It is worth noting that many guests were not vegan or even vegetarian, but still found the food memorably satisfying. Wonderful, just perfect!
We went here for Mother’s Day lunch! Even though it looks crowded we didn’t have to wait for long, it’s a big place. It seems very popular people kept coming in constantly. We had mango salad, mushroom kebab, pot stickers, and for main course pineapple fried rice and spicy mambo, everything was great, tasted amazing. We also had vegan desert, they have couple of options, we ordered strawberry cloud cake. It was delicious! Really enjoyed the vibe and food here, we will be back
By far one the best Thai Curries I had in the Bay Area! I absolutely loved the food here. - Pho: Pho Soup could be slightly better though. The broth could be a little thicker. - Thai Curry: There was something unique about the Thai curry here that I'm not able to find at other places. Plenty of veggies, tasty curry. You have to order rice on the side though. Cons: The only con here is the pricing. It's very expensive for the quantity they offer.
We had come to Santa Clara to meet a friend and we just randomly searched for Vegan/Vegetarian restaurants near us. This place was 15 mins drive from where we stayed. So we thought to try it as it had good reviews too. And we were not disappointed! The place looks simple and is managed by a South Asian couple. The restaurant shuts at 2 pm and we reached by 1.40 pm. The lady was so understanding and simply said to order everything before 2pm and we can sit there for how much time we want. We were very hungry and directly ordered entreé. We ordered for Spicy Cha Cha - This was amazing! Just enough spicy to suit our palette and it tasted very similar to shrimp. Crispy Mushroom Delight - These were truly a delight! Very crispy and the sauce was a balance of sweet and spicy. I would highly recommend this place!
As a regular omnivore, the vegan options at this restaurant did not make me miss meat. On the contrary, some of the items, if I was not told what they were, I would have not guessed they were vegan. I actually did not enjoy the desserts so I can't recommend them, but my favorite dishes that we tried were the Queens Joy, Spicy chacha (not actually that spicy), the crispy mushrooms and the caulipower. I would gladly go back for any of those dishes. The mango salad was also nice. Everything in general was yummy so you can't really go wrong. The staff were very friendly and nice to us, even though we were a big group. I didn't get to take pictures of some of the dishes because our group ate them so fast.
wow the food here is sooo good!! 🌟🌟 we got the thai satay, spicy mambo, pho, & spring roll noodles. my favs were the first two – this satay might just be the BEST vegan satay i’ve ever had, the texture & flavors were just perfect! you have to try it!🌟 the spicy mambo was soooo tasty & addictive – another must-try. they have a really nice outdoor patio seating with heating! great for the chilly day we were there, which made the meal & experience here even better. the lady working the counter was also really friendly & kind to us, thank you for everything 🫶💖
Monday dinner takeout:(~9.30 pm) - Not busy, order was ready on time. Prices were reasonable, have good deals. - Ordered medium hand made marinara pizza with black olives and cheese. It’s good and definitely feeds two people. - Stuffed Cheesy bread, it’s okay, can try once. Not the best, too many calories.
Great pizza. Inconsistent quality. The tracker is a joke. I walked in after my order was ready in the app and I had to wait another 15 minutes because it was still baked. 😂
It's Sunday deliver my shit...even with generous tip damn...just let me know when erica working
What can I say? I mean, what did I learn upon my visit to this restaurant? Read the negative reviews as well. We chose this place coz I thought it’ll be great. I mean, sure the food was great, no doubt about that. However, this is not an indoor dine-in restaurant during weekdays, but rather an outdoor dine-in one (-0.5). There’s a QR code on the tables where you can scan it and order. Not really great honestly, especially if you’re worried about privacy and also data collection. You have no choice but order using the QR code. (-0.5) It’s also somehow self-service where you go pick up your food at the counter once you get a text (why did I even tip) and you put your stuff on the trash after you eat. There’s water on the side, so help yourself with that. (-0.5) There’s no restroom (-0.5) to go to once they close the restaurant (which they do at certain times and the reopen later). It was very inconvenient. We have to find a nearby place where we can use the restroom afterwards.
I used to absolutely love this place prior to Covid. It’s really gone downhill unfortunately. Their new semi counter service program isn’t friendly in the least. They take your order at the table, but then tell you to go get your own water, silverware, napkins, etc. The napkins are these cheesy little one-ply cocktail napkins coming out of a dispenser. Not a great experience to say the least. The food quality has also degraded considerably since Covid. Everything was super salty, and that was the underlying flavor in most of the dishes. I dined with a group of four and I daresay I didn’t make a vegan conversion out of any of them with this food. There are better options for vegan fare in the area.
Ordered a pizza once and it was great. Ordered again a week later and the pizza never came. Called the store, was told they would talk to the driver and call back, but they didn't call back. When I called again they said it was delivered. I asked to confirm and made sure they had the right address, but still no pizza. Asked for another or refund and was told to wait and talk to the driver directly?? Disappointed and hungry :( Edit: ordered another pizza (accidentally from the same place) and a different delivery driver got the right place and delivered both pizzas. Changing to 2 stars since they did (eventually) give what I paid for
We walked for 30 minutes from our hotel, filled with high hopes for our meal at Vegetarian House Vegan, which boasted an impressive 4.6 rating on Google Reviews. Upon our arrival, however, we were informed that indoor dining was only available on weekends, leaving us with the outdoor seating option. Initially, we tried to remain optimistic and chose a table, but to our dismay, we were met with a strong smell of urine in that area. We quickly moved to another table, hoping for a better experience. Next, we attempted to place our order via the QR code, but the process proved frustratingly slow. After about 20 minutes, we still encountered issues with card payment, adding to our stress as we were on a tight schedule for medical appointments. To make matters worse, our meals were served on disposable plates, bowls, and utensils—something we hadn’t anticipated based on the reviews we read. Regardless of whether these disposables were biodegradable, it detracted significantly from the dining experience. Eating from proper plates and using real cutlery enhances the enjoyment of a meal, and the use of disposables reminded me of the less favorable takeaway experiences during the pandemic. Thankfully, we always carry our own stainless steel chopstick set, which at least provided some comfort. Now, let’s discuss the food itself. We ordered Bun Hue, stir-fried mixed vegetables, and Malaysian fried curry noodles. As someone from Malaysia, I was particularly looking forward to the curry noodles, but I was disappointed to find them overly saturated with coconut milk—far from the authentic flavors I know. Both noodle dishes were excessively soggy, and the Bun Hue soup had a taste that was quite peculiar. The only redeeming dish was the mixed vegetables, which were nicely prepared. Overall, the experience felt more like dining in a national park without proper amenities, rather than enjoying a meal at a well-reviewed restaurant. It was disheartening to miss out on what could have been a wonderful dining experience in San Jose. 😕😕😕
I order my pizza online on mobile app around 9:00pm 20 min later said it was delivered. Never received my pizza so I checked outside to see maybe they put it somewhere else but no. I called the store the first person to pick up did not understand what I was saying and passed me onto a second person they were talking to the driver and said they would be here in 5 min I said okay thank you. I waited around 20 min no pizza or call from anyone then I called and asked again for an update because it’s been almost an hour now and i assumed my pizza was lost and cold. I called for a second time they said the driver is 7 min away and all I could hear in the background was a lot of yelling and argument from either customer or employee. I waited another 15 min no pizza. Then my driver finally got here and I revived the wrong drink and pizza was cold and dry. I called again to ask if I could get a refund they offered me a new pizza and drink and Iv waited 30 min now. I was super patient and was respectful and understanding over the phone however the service, food, and overall experience with this dominos was not good what’s so ever. Almost an hour later update: I called at 10:09pm asking for a new pizza and my correct drink which was an orange fanta. It’s currently 11:11pm I have not received anything yet so I called and the driver who handed me my phone was completely rude and disrespectful saying “why do you lie I gave you your food why are you lying” I assured the driver I received my pizza cold and the wrong drink which was a Coca Cola (me and my guest can not drink Coca Cola) I explained to him I can send them a picture of the drink I received the driver stayed silent and then said why are you lying once again and the tone was very out of place and hung up on me. I called again now this is my 5th time calling dominos. The women I have been talking to ask me why the driver is saying he gave me Fanta and why I am saying he did not. I ultimately do not want me pizza or drink because it’s been almost 2 hours now since I originally ordered my pizza and drink and would like a refund but the driver is still arguing saying I lied and he did give me Fanta. I tell the women once again I can send you a picture of the drink because it is still in the dominos bag and it is unopened. She said she can send me a new drink next time I order. I explain I do not want a new order or a new drink I want a refund because my guest have already left and it is already 2 hours past the time I ordered my food. She said I will be getting my refund in 24hrs. I completely undertaken being 10-15 min late but it’s been 2hours if this back and forth calling and asking in my order and once I get my order it’s wrong and cold so I kindly ask for a new one or a refund they offer me a new drink and pizza I accept then nothing happens then I get told I am lying which I have no need to do over a $2 drink so i ultimately let them know how rude they are being and I would like a refund because I will not longer be ordering pizza from them. Here is the drink proof and my order proof.
The WORST pizza we have ever had. This was supposed to be a Pepperoni pizza with extra sauce, cheese, mushrooms and half pineapple. The dough was flat, there was no extra sauce, no extra cheese and no extra mushrooms ... almost no mushrooms entirely. So, the delivery guy was great ...he got them to make another but it was worse than the first one ...they put mushrooms underneath the cheese so the moisture killed the dough. Well, I payed and tipped the delivery guy well, but till they get someone who can make a pizza right with fresh ingredients, we won't be ordering from this location. I have a free pizza here from last night, who wants some?
YOU TOOK MY ONLINE ORDER, CONFIRMED RECEIPT OF MY ORDER OVER THE TELEPHONE, YET THE STORE LOCATION IS CLOSED!! I have been on hold with your local number for 1hr. Tried to get help via option #1, as if placing new order and I WAS TRANSFERRED AND HAVE BEEN ON HOLD SINCE!!
This restaurant is gross. I don’t recommend this place for anyone. We came in and ordered, then I noticed the dirty counter top and looked at where the pizza was made. All open top containers. The pizza dough was exposed and the employees were not wearing gloves. The worst part was the windows between us and the pizza making area. We didn’t stay…gross
I never write reviews but I’m fuming. Ordered two pizzas with red sauce. Both came with no red sauce. I called and very politely asked for a refund. The dude on the other line started being super combative saying he made the pizzas, he knows there was sauce, and he wanted me to come with the pizzas the morning after to show him there was no sauce. I again said “dude, I’m not messing with you, there’s no sauce. i have pictures, can i send them somewhere?” I have a life, I’m not going to deliver my pizza back. Hung up on me. No bye, no apology, nothing. Seriously?
Refused to honor on-line order coupon 2 med 2-topping pizzas for $6.99 moreflation coupon upgrade 1 to a large for free. Charged $7.99 for first med pizza too. Workers kept making up excuses and when proved wrong claimed some other excuse. Make sure you check your receipt. This was all kinds of shifty.
RATING: 0/5 1. People who were making pizzas had no gloves on. 2. I ordered a Large pizza with Jalapeno peppers, onions, olives, red peppers roasted garlic and diced tomatoes. First pizza came with no jalapeno peppers. (Picture attached for both). 3. Then we called up customer care and they gave us another pizza, now with no olives and no roasted garlic. 5. On top of that the delivery guy told us, "Why can you guys not eat without one topping" If thats the case, why does Dominos charge for toppings ?? If we can eat without toppings, Dominos better refund us the money, so we can go elsewhere and eat the pizza...
DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS LOCATION WHATEVER YOU DO!!! THEY DO NOT CARE! They're so unprofessional ! Placed an order for work meeting at 12:00 noon stating it would be delivered at 12:22 pm then no response from the store and the delivery time kept being pushed out and pushed out now it's been approximately an hour and 20 minutes from the original time it was supposed to be delivered which means the food has been sitting in Omar's car for over an hour. When we called to find out what was going on the man pretended not to speak english and hung up! Gross NO THANK YOU!!!!
Worst dominos I have ever stepped foot into in my life. Lady would not give me a price list and said “I can just tell you, I know them” asked for a small pizza. Told me were out of small so then had to pay for a medium. Waited 15 mins while I watched 3 people walk around in circles whilst another person was unloading a truck with stock making a heap of noise. Watched another customer come back as they forgot his wings to them afterwards that prompted me to ask where my order was up to and they hadn’t even started it. Got a refund and walked out. What a waste of time.
Worst service ever. Pizzas are never made on time if at all... Two liters are warm. Staff will hang out in their car after seeing you walk into the store.... Feel like I should just grab something and walk out
I get the wrong pizza delivered to me. I pay cash. I call to let them know they gave me the wrong pizza. First girl I talk to says “ just tell him to get you pizza and he get ok” then hangs up. I call back and get a teenager who says he’ll remake it, doesn’t confirm my order and hangs up before. Third time I call a delivery driver picks up with no English and has no idea what he’s doing, and hands phone over to the second guy who says their manager won’t be in unfortunately they’re gone. Are you people really this unprofessional? Pretty sure the team took the cash, deleted the order and kept the cash. Where’d the order go? Disappointed all around. Do better.
was given the wrong order after i placed it online and when i went back to ask for my correct order they said they couldn’t do anything. they said it was my fault and told me to order again and sent me on my way.
Usually i love Dominos, but today i got really angry. I ordered Pizza and headed to the store, parked the car and walked in. I was told inside 4 more minutes for my pizza to be ready so no problem, but what make me angry is that telling my to move my car from the street parking only because the delivery truck and the workers couldn't wait for the costumer to pick it up and leave. (Maybe they need to learn how to treat costumer better!) Tonight was really bad atmosphere only because of that. Ofcurse i canceled my order and left. Probably the "workers was in rush to finish their shift, although it only 11:30 I guess i will think twice if going again Thank u for bad experience Dominos
Absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had at a Domino’s location. I specifically requested my pizza well done, but what I received was clearly undercooked - doughy, limp, poorly cut, and nowhere near what I ordered. This level of carelessness is unacceptable! Management needs to start paying attention to these reviews and take action. I rarely leave reviews, but this experience was so bad, it needed to be called out.
They don’t take orders from the app? And they raise the prices in person from the app prices. Not sure if it was just the employees failed attempt to scam?
