Incredible food!!! you can taste the cultural influence and Italian roots in the cuisine; one of the best Italian restaurants I’ve been to in nyc yet. And that says something. The food was excellent and extremely fresh the atmosphere and the staff are so inviting and welcoming the restaurant is extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. This place is a gem; if you’re exploring east 49th street don’t forget to stop here for some authentic Italian you won’t be disappointed. I celebrated my mothers birthday here we will certainly be returning again soon
I had a great experience here! I came here for just dessert and ended up having some drinks and a delicious margherita pizza! They also have happy hour exclusively at the bar from 3-6 pm. Service was fascinating, server will always check on us,we ordered an aperol spritz but it was a bit sour so they didn’t have a problem with redoing it,customer service is definitely given here. Food as I mentioned earlier was good,I also ordered a panacotta and we had a tiramisu! And that strawberry mule was pretty good too! I will be back for a full meal experience
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A True Italian Culinary Experience From the very moment we walked in, the experience felt exceptional. We were greeted warmly by the host, whose genuine hospitality set the tone for the entire evening. There was no rush, only a sense of being truly welcomed, as if stepping into an elegant Italian home rather than just a restaurant. The atmosphere was intimate and thoughtfully curated, but what truly elevated the night was the chef Alessandro. Rarely does one encounter a chef so deeply involved in the guest experience. He personally came to our table, not once but throughout the evening, taking the time to explain each dish with passion, precision, and pride. Every course felt like a story rooted in tradition, elevated by technique, and finished with unmistakable love for the craft. Each plate arrived as a masterpiece. The balance of flavors, the quality of the ingredients, and the attention to detail were outstanding. Having the chef explain the inspiration, preparation, and origin of every dish transformed the meal into an unforgettable culinary journey. The service was flawless from start to finish: attentive, seamless, and perfectly timed. Every need was anticipated without ever feeling intrusive, reinforcing the sense of personalized and full-service. Without hesitation, a perfect score and a place I will enthusiastically recommend and return to again and again.
We had a party of 8 and were thrilled to get last minute reservations after our broadway play. The welcoming and cozy ambiance started as we walked in the door and were greeted by a lovely hostess. The waiter and manager were helpful, friendly and proficient. Our dinners were all delicious, including scrumptious Chicken Marsala and Margarita Pizza (just the best!) Two of us asked for a mocktail and were not disappointed by the bartender's yummy cherry and pineapple concoction. The deserts were large portions including a tiramisu and chocolate gelato (best to split one!) Our leisurely Venetian dining experience was just perfect for our last night in New York City. Thank you La Piazza!
Stumbled on this amazing gem while going to the Saks light show. Between the amazing greeting by the hostess and the staff it was our best overall experience after a week in NYC! We had seafood pasta and tomato spaghetti and it was mouthwatering. How good can pasta be? Their chef figures out how to elevate the culinary experience. When we asked if they had a dessert we had experienced in Italy of lemon sorbet and prosecco they didn’t but then created it. My black Manhattan was delicious and the overall space very cool and inviting! Our only constructive advice? If you sit near the door on a winter night prepare for frequent chill as the customers come and go. One of those places that’s a must return next time we come to NY!
From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere made us feel instantly at home. The authentic Italian cuisine was beautifully presented and bursting with rich, vibrant flavors — every dish was a celebration of classic Italian culinary artistry. But what truly elevated our evening was the exceptional service provided by our waiter, Roen. From start to finish, Roen’s genuine friendliness, attention to detail, and effortless professionalism made us feel like honored guests. He guided us through the menu with thoughtful recommendations, perfectly paired our wine with each course, and made sure we had everything we needed before we even realized we wanted it. Roen’s warmth and expertise transformed a great meal into an extraordinary one — his service was truly the highlight of our night. Every moment at this restaurant felt special, and it’s clear that the staff takes pride in delivering a dining experience that stays with you long after the last bite.
The food is outstanding. Every dish tastes fresh, balanced, and thoughtfully prepared, with flavors that feel straight out of Italy. You can tell the kitchen respects tradition while still caring deeply about quality. Portions are generous without being heavy, and every bite feels intentional. Service was just as impressive attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable without hovering. The staff makes you feel genuinely welcomed, whether it’s your first visit or your tenth. La Piazza is perfect for a date night, a family dinner, or simply when you’re craving real Italian food done right. Easily one of those places you keep coming back to and confidently recommend to anyone. Truly a gem in the city.
Such a wonderful dining experience! Every bite was bursting with flavor and the dishes tasted freshly made. The staff made me feel truly welcome with their warm and attentive service. The drinks were exceptional too, beautifully mixed and full of character. I can’t wait to visit again!
After an impromptu trip to New York today, we stumbled upon this absolutely amazing GEM!!! It was Friday afternoon and a chalkboard sign on the sidewalk said and it was happy hour at La Piazza. After a very welcoming greeting, we were seated at a cozy corner of the bar and delighted by the menus choices and the staff’s attention! Troy was outstanding in his descriptions of how this restaurant’s chef carefully chose his menu based on the Venice and Pulia regions. We chose the Cacio Pepe and the Sauted mussels and clams and focaccia bread - and asked for them all to arrive together. Trust me- do this! And if you have room - the homemade cheesecake I don’t even have words for …..❤️. Thank you Chef, Troy, Amber and all the outstanding staff for an incredible experience! Run to this place people! It’s just a few blocks away from the theater district and spectacular!
La Piazza is hands-down the most authentic Italian restaurant I’ve experienced in a long time. From the very first bite, it feels like you’ve been transported straight to Italy — every dish is rich with traditional flavor, perfectly seasoned, and clearly made with real passion and care. Chef Alessandro is a perfectionist! He came to visit my table a few times to check in on our experience as well. What truly sets La Piazza apart, though, is the people. The staff are unbelievably kind, welcoming, and genuinely happy to make you feel at home. Their customer service is absolutely supreme — attentive without hovering, warm without feeling forced, and always going the extra mile to ensure everything is perfect. If you’re looking for true Italian food paired with world-class hospitality, La Piazza is the place. I can’t recommend it enough and will be returning again and again!

We visited La Piazza from Miami and were blown away by the great service. This restaurant is only a block away from Rockefeller Center so we apprehensive at first thinking this was one of those tourist trap restaurants. This restaurant was like visiting Venice in Italy. Every member of La Piazza, from the check in desk to our table service, were amazing. You can tell they really care about their customers. John was our server and kept checking on us to make sure we had everything we needed. The food and Chianti Classico were amazing too! And the big plus, the limoncello was great! We will be back soon!

Wonderful cozy and elegant atmosphere. Remarkable service and delicious fresh food. Highly enjoyable experience for my boyfriend and I visiting from Dallas.
Great spot for wine lovers. La Piazza offers a cozy, upscale atmosphere with an excellent wine list and attentive service. Ideal for a relaxed dinner, date night, or just enjoying a good glass of wine at the bar.
An amazing experience! The food was delicious, every dish fresh and full of flavor. The service was professional and genuinely welcoming – it felt like home. And the cocktails? Absolutely outstanding! Creative, well-balanced, and simply perfect. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to soon!
La Piazza New York is a fantastic new addition to Midtown, offering a modern twist on authentic Venetian cuisine. The homemade pasta was exceptional, and the wood-fired pizza had that perfect Italian dough and high-quality ingredients. The tiramisu was simply amazing! The service was attentive, and I especially loved the beautiful display of Venetian masks on the wall—it added a unique and elegant touch to the ambiance. Definitely coming back and highly recommend it!
We had such a great experience here! The atmosphere was amazing — very cozy and welcoming. The service was truly top-level: attentive, friendly, and professional. And the food? Absolutely delicious. Everything we tried was fresh and full of flavor. Definitely a place we’d love to come back to. Highly recommend!
La Piazza is such a great spot in Midtown when you’re craving real Italian food. The pasta tastes homemade, the seafood is super fresh, and everything just feels authentic without being over-the-top fancy. The vibe is cozy but still classy, perfect for a date night or dinner with friends. Service is friendly and attentive, and you never feel rushed. Definitely a little slice of Italy right in the middle of the city! Would really recommend.
This restaurant truly exceeded my expectations. The food was absolutely amazing. Every dish was full of flavor and beautifully prepared. Worth every penny! What made the experience even better was our waitress, Ambra. Her wine recommendations paired perfectly with each course, and her knowledge and passion really stood out. She made us feel right at home from the moment we sat down. Everything arrived on time. We also got desserts which were homemade and very delicious. I’ll definitely be coming back again and make sure to have her as my waitress.
Exploring this restaurant after Diamond district . First visit and it was fantastic ! Unassuming service yet very friendly and good. Food was great! I was looking at a real Italian chef in the kitchen and it reflected in the quality of the ingredients and taste. My wife and I shared a Squid salad and a Mediterranean seafood Pasta that they portions beautifully out for us without asking! What a great find n a city with so many options with unknown quality. Very very great lunch .
We spent ten days in New York and during our stay we ate at La Piazza at least once every single day — which truly says it all. The staff is exceptionally kind, welcoming, and highly professional, making us feel comfortable from the very first visit. The food is absolutely delicious, of outstanding quality, and the wine selection is excellent. Everything was top-class. We visited as a family and highly recommend this restaurant for families as well as for couples. We are guests from Switzerland and chose La Piazza based on a recommendation from a renowned first-class business in New York — and it fully lived up to that recommendation. We will definitely return next year when we are back in New York. A big thank you to the entire team for the exceptional food and outstanding service. Warm regards, a family from Switzerland who visited New York over Christmas and New Year’s ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Family Berisha

I was really excited to try this place, but overall I left a little underwhelmed. The food looked beautiful, but it didn’t quite live up to the presentation, and the marketing had set our expectations quite high. I ordered the Pappardelle con Amorini Burrata, while my friends had the lobster pasta and the truffle pasta. Unfortunately, the pasta was undercooked and too al dente, and the truffle pasta lacked much truffle flavor. We also asked for wine recommendations, but our order was mixed up several times. When we asked if the Prosecco was dry, the waiter assured us it was - but it turned out to be very sweet. The Pinot Grigio I ordered also tasted more like a Chardonnay; I suspect it may have been switched, but we didn’t push it further. Overall, the experience was just okay. That said, the restaurant itself was lovely further inside, and the atmosphere was definitely a highlight.

We waited an unreasonably long time just for a server to come take our order. After ordering, the main course arrived first—but the bread never came. We had to ask the server twice, and each time we were told “I’ll be right back.” They didn’t come back. Our bread finally showed up at the same time as the table next to us, even though they came in about an hour after we did. That’s not a small mistake—it’s basic service failure 🫣 On top of that, the food didn’t match what was advertised. The clams in the photos look large and generous, but what we received was noticeably smaller and clearly not what you’d expect based on the menu images. (A/B image attached) the taste was nothing special. For $38 for a plate of pasta, this place is wildly overpriced for the quality and service. Overall, not worth it at all. Would not return and would not recommend. This restaurant used to be Casa Limone, which was way better. I’m not sure if the ownership changed, but the service and food quality have gone downhill a lot!
I had a very disappointing dinner at this Italian restaurant. The risotto was completely undercooked — the rice was still hard and crunchy, as if it hadn’t been properly prepared at all. It was honestly inedible. The lobster was also extremely small, and the meat was tough, mushy, and clearly not fresh. Overall, the quality of the food was far below expectations, especially for an Italian restaurant. I would not recommend this place based on my experience.
⭐ 1 Star @ Extremely Disappointing Experience I visited La Piazza New York recently and was shocked by how poorly guests were treated. The staff were dismissive from the moment I arrived, no greeting, no courtesy and the atmosphere felt tense, not welcoming. When I politely asked a simple question about seating, I was met with attitude instead of assistance. For a restaurant that charges premium prices, I expected professionalism, cleanliness, and basic respect. Instead, I experienced the opposite. The service was slow, the tables weren’t properly wiped down, and management seemed completely uninterested in customer satisfaction. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was unacceptable. There are far better Italian restaurants in the city where staff actually value their customers. I will never return, and I strongly recommend that others think twice before dining here.
