“Staff was courteous and efficient, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The atmosphere was lively and upbeat, though not particularly upscale—perfect for a fun dinner outing. We ordered the beef enchiladas, which were packed with beef and full of flavor. The Hidalgo’s beans as a side were truly amazing, bursting with savory notes you don’t find everywhere. The creamed corn was another standout—extremely flavorful and clearly freshly made. The fresh flour tortillas were impressive, soft and warm, and the salsas offered a bright, delicious kick. Overall, a wonderful surprise with vibrant flavors and great service; will definitely return!”

First time eating at Hidalgo's. We were happy to snack on chips, small flour tortillas, salsa and queso while we waited for our entree. The "Make your own Bowl" menu option is a great idea. It was delicious with fajita meat!

First time trying Hidalgos. The food was great! Our waitress was wonderful and gave great suggestions! We tried a sampler plate and it didn’t disappoint. Their beef has great flavor and the chicken is also good. The service was very fast and efficient!

Claudia gave us great service while at Hidalgo's. We always order the spicy salsa in the molcajete and it was superb as usual. The veggie fajitas are a great option for vegetarians and vegans. Ask to try the salsa roja they use on the al pastor

2nd visit: I decided to dine in to experience their customer service. I must say the service and atmosphere is splendid. The server and the other employees greeted every time with smiles. They were persistent in checking on my table to make sure I was ok and I had everything I needed. I rated the food with 3 stars because of the temperature of the rice and shredded chicken on the taco salad. The rice and shredded chicken wasn’t hot but cold. I just assumed they would/should be hot. Maybe I should have asked, “is the rice and meat served hot and fresh?” I’ll know next time to be more detailed on how I like my food before ordering.

Big, spacy restaurant serving up delicious 😋 Mexican meals! We picked this place based on online recommendations and they did not disappoint! Our server, Daniel was AMAZING hands down! Fast & friendly service. We had the homemade tortilla soup, carne asada caliente - and it was DELICIOUS 😋 We'll be back!

At last! It's been 7 years since my last visit. I had been planning to make it all the way to Edmond and try once again the good food I remember. I owe this place an honest review and so here it is! Food: The lomo saltado I had fallen in love with ever since they opened, it is still on the menu but I was sad to see that it is not the same. The plate is in essence the same but the flavors have become slightly bland... The sauces and salsas you guys once were known for are not the same... The Lomo meat itself is still as good as I remember it. Service: it is good but only good. Nothing exceptional like you used to be. Was it because it was Monday? I hope I am wrong but it felt so disconnected from the hospitality excellence you guys once were!! Smh Atmosphere: It is noticeable that the decor has fallen behind. The paintings in the wall are still beautiful but the decor feels outdated. The paint the walls the floors etc... there is a restaurant a few blocks east of you guys that is shining bright on this! The most discouraging thing was to see many tables especially ones in the outside patio dirty with food and cups needing to be cleaned but they were just left there unattended. I hope you guys could bounce back in the areas you guys were once great at! I still have a special place in my heart for the limo saltado!

Best Mexican food in town! Fajitas are amazing. Highly recommend the spicy salsa and white queso! Update - Service is great and the owner makes the rounds to check on tables which is nice. If you celebrate a birthday party there, they’ll serve some bomb berry cake too. We come as much as we can! I dream of that salsa and white queso

We were greeted with friendly faces! I got the fiesta fries and they were bomb! Mila the manager was very friendly and checked on our table multiple times. Some of the other staff members checked on us as well. Didn’t wait very long to get our food and everything tasted good and fresh. There are waiters/waitresses waiting to serve you, so definitely try it out!!

I went here for lunch and had a great experience. This is the only Mexican restaurant I've been to that served a queso with their chips and salsa from sitdown. I ordered the steak fajitas, Mexican mashed potatoes and grilled vegetables. Everything was very fresh and absolutely delicious. The house salsa was a nice addition to our food, had just the right kick to it. I tried the Tecate with lime I have never had it served the way they do but it was the best Tecate I've ever had. The complimentary dessert was airy and soft, not crunchy, I added the included honey, it was a perfect dessert. This was my first visit here and can honestly say I would come back everytime I visit Edmond, the food and dining experience are that good. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful thank you so much for everything. I cannot say enough good things about this place, try it for yourself.

The food was made fresh and the set up was unexpected. You can get full before you even get your food.

Food was excellent. Place was very nice and clean. The waitress could've been a little more attentive bc I needed refills and did not get it. It wasn't busy, but they were probably focusing on the after lunch cleanup and restocking for dinner, but I could've used more tea lol. Will go again.

It is a great place to eat. We enjoyed the flavor of the food and the variety. The fajitas come loaded with peppers and onions, and the setup with beans and rice was delicious. Tortillas are homemade and the chips were nicely toasted. Service was also good and it was clean. We will start going here now instead of the "other" place. Note: I asked for grated cheese and they brought it (no charge).

We liked the restaurant and the atmosphere. After we ordered, a head employee came up and told us that if we only purchased one meal to share that there would be a "set up fee" in the amount of ten dollars. I decided to order my own enchilada plate since our visit was going to charge. I received two very small enchiladas with little meat and cheese that were small with beans and rice. The steak was most likely the best steak I have ever had. Our waitress was very polite and very attentive to our visit but seemed new at her job. Our impression of this restaurant is that they must have a lot of customers who have tried to beat the system by ordering one entree but devouring free chips and salsa and therefore forced to change. I will most likely not go back as we watch how much we eat and it is not allowed.

Service was a little slow at first. White queso is free which was a pleasant surprise. My Flautas said it was an order of 6 but in reality it was 3, cut in half for 6 pieces which I found misleading and therefore not a great value. Patio was a plus.

We were very excited to try this restaurant because of the homemade tortillas, which were great. The service was very good, our waiter was attentive and checked on us often. I gave the food 3 stars because they made their spinach enchiladas with spinach from a can…….. This is only the second time in my life that a Mexican restaurant used canned spinach in their enchiladas. Either buy actual spinach or remove it from the menu, it’s cheap and poor taste to serve food out of a can at a restaurant.

They give you free queso, salsa and chips along with warm tortillas. The staff is very friendly and nice. Food had no seasoning. Refried beans tasted like water. Ground beef wasn't fully cooked. Tamale taste like dry cornbread. We left hungry and spent $100 for 3 adults and a kids meal.

We were charged an extra $7.99 for set-ups because we shared an order of fajitas...So one person could have complimentary set-ups, but not the another person! Definitely won't be going back! It wasn't like one person was eating an entree and the other was just there for free set-ups! I had the exact same thing at Poblano's, shared fajitas and the set-ups were complimentary Too many good Mexican restaurants to choose from that don't charge extra! Hidalgos food isn't any better than Casa Pericos, Poblano's, Ted's, Chuy's..just to name a few!!

Food is good, can’t discount their food but what’s the use if you arrive to order or dine in and you are ignored. This is the second time, I stood at the podium and wasn’t greeted. This time the waitress stood there, I had to ask if she was on lunch break, she said no. I said Hi, would like to order. Insane, yeah this will be my last time spending my money here.
