INCREDIBLE FOOD. 10/10, you need to go here. My mom & I ordered the fried chicken & the beef dish. Both are amazing!! The owner is super sweet too. COME HERE.

Pork belly was literally melt in your mouth, while still being able to retain the shape, and the chicken was delicious too! Will definitely come back.

Lou’s is my wife and I’s favorite take out place in all of the Bay Area. We go there every week and every time it’s 10/10. I always wonder why they don’t open a full sized restaurant or expand to multiple locations- with food this incredible surely they could grow. Anyways, we’re just glad we live close enough to have Lou’s in our life.🥹

It's To Go and the best most conscientious, tasty food in Marin. I meet other foodies there, the nicest people looking for something different. Yum. I'm originally from SF and Lous reminds me if the tasty kind of place I find there.

Lou's Take Away has become my go-to spot and I must say I absolutely love the updated everyday menu! The variety and quality of options keep me excited to try something new each time. What sets Lou's apart for me is the incredible sauces—they're a game-changer! The unique flavors add that extra touch of deliciousness to every meal. One big plus for me is the generous portion of salad that comes with each meal. A special thanks to the friendly staff at Lou's Take Away for consistently providing excellent service. Your warmth and hospitality make each visit a pleasure. And, of course, a huge shoutout to Lou for creating such a fantastic establishment. We had the steak peanut soup and the black vin belly. The soup had rice cakes, delicious beef and dried shrimp - a really cozy combo on a cold day. The pork belly melted in our mouth while the rice sopped all the juices. Each bite was spiced and delicious. What a fantastic joint.

Unusual and unique cuisine made with fresh ingredients. The creative use of seasonings and spices make this place one of kind and absolutely delicious! but order early because they can run out of food.

I just moved five minutes away from this place, and I think it’s going to be my new kitchen! The food is so good that I had to leave a review—even though I never do this. Absolutely amazing!

Lou’s is my new favorite place to get food during quarantine. I knew from the first bite that this place deserved a review (not something I do often). I just finished my 3rd meal of the Chilled Sesame Noodles and I’m a big eater- that’s how big the portion was. Every bite was amazing as a result of high quality of ingredients and incredibly flavor combinations. Also, the Matcha Cake was so unique and unlike anything I’ve ever had. Very excited to go back and try the rest of the ever-changing menu.

Wow. Lou ain’t messing around when it comes to flavors… the chicken and pork were outstanding, but the salads that they came with?! Might actually be the best salads I have ever had. Something to do with freshness? what a beast! Absolutely stunned with the perfection here. I am going to go ahead and crown Lou’s as King of the north bay!!

My fiancée and I eat here about 2/3 times a week. First and foremost, we would like to say that this food has changed our life! We are enamored by the offerings. The incredible flavors, attention to detail, technique and passion come through in technicolor waves that delight, enchant and satisfy. Lou’s creativity and quality is unmatched in the way it nourishes our bodies and feeds our souls. 10/10

I LOVE Lou's. At this point it may be an addiction. I probably eat here 2-3 meals per week. The spice roasted chicken is my favorite dish. All of their food is full of the most fresh, unique flavors; I can taste the TLC in every bite.

An awesome little takeaway place with large portions. Wasabi chicken was amazing, not very spicy just a little background heat. Both our chicken dishes could have used a little more sauce. Definitely going back to this place. Update... Thanks for the fast reply to my review. It shows you truly care about what the community is saying. Next time I will ask for extra sauce. Since it was my 1st visit I just rolled with the standard. Top notch food and service.

People are lined up right when it opens and the wait is not too long (I waited 20 minutes and was one of the first people on queue) for the quality of the food- made with effort and love. I got a fried chicken dish and it was absolutely delicious, almost cried lol. The portions are generous so the price point is more than reasonable; you could probably make 2 meals out of what you're served. Every day the menu is different so they have many treasures to offer! Can't wait to come again and bring loved ones!

LOU, Please put your spicy pork balls with picante peanuts on the menu again soon ( if you're up for it). They were amazing. It was a wonderful, whimsical touch to your always delicious innovative menu. Thank you!!

Our favorite “treat yo self” lunch spot. Do not come if you’re seeking a “quick fix” for your hunger. Good food takes time to prepare. The care & creativity of the takeaway plates have always satisfied our deepest cravings. Thank you to Lou & the team for always preparing such good meals for the soul. Also, sometimes the owner comes out to greet us as we’re waiting in line. Little things like that make it a true neighborhood joint.

The pork belly is only available for dinner, wish I knew that ahead of time. I ordered their fried chicken and rice, it had a kind of kewpie mayo, miso dressing or creamy goma sauce on it. Whatever it was, it was awesome! I also grabbed a pork shoulder for later. If I lived near here, this would be my go to place. For some reason on my visit they had the music volume at a ridiculous level, I had to scream back-and-forth to get my order. Maybe the guy who works here is deaf and if not, he soon will be. 🤣 Anyhow I highly recommend this place. 💥🔥🙌🏼 BTW, this place is a grab and go, says so right in the name. And pssst, I think some guy named Lou works here. 🤫

What a great little spot! Every meal I've had here (which is over 15 times or so) has left me in awe by the creative combinations and delicious flavors. The menu is constantly rotating so there's always something new to try. All of the food is fresh and cooked to perfection! Anthony and Eric are such down to earth and sweet people and they've always got great tunes playing. Don't look any further come here and you'll be hooked!

Best experience in San Rafael. Food was phenomenal and the staff celebrated our first time there with a bell and a song. Amazing! Everyone that went were repeat customers and locals and felt like a family vibe amongst everyone there. Would come back on the regular!

Would drive far out of my way for this spot.

The literal meaning of the hole in the wall place but actually being a small shack with just about few people serving up some of the most delicious food and the experience of it. Either call them up for pick up or order at the window. The pork belly was super delicious with the mix of vegetables and crab papaya salad so fresh and uniquely different with the right amount of spicy sauce as a dressing makes up for a small quaint maybe even eclectic place to enjoy scrumptious meal.

Every dish I’ve had has been memorable. I really appreciate the revolving menu. It keeps things interesting and gives you a reason to come back often. You never feel bored ordering here. My only “complaints” are that they’re not open seven days a week, and once I called to order shortly after opening only to find they were already completely sold out. But honestly, that just proves how good the food is and how many people are lining up for it. If you can catch them while they’re open and before they sell out, it’s 100 percent worth it. Highly recommend.

Wow!!! I can’t believe I just found out about Lou’s! I am a total foodie constantly looking for great food. I love all the farms and local suppliers that Lou uses and you can tell how much love has gone into his creations. I had their fried chicken today which was unbelievable in flavor, quality and the portion is outstanding. Walking up to the counter, I was greeted with so much warmth. This place is not to be missed!! I can’t wait for my next meal!!!

Amazing flavors, super good fry with high quality ingredients. 100% worth trying if you’re close by, the food comes out hot fast and fresh. The people working here are also a joy to talk to!!!

Overpriced for this food & even no dine in. Why is it so expensive and over-rated? This place is not bad. But also NOT GOOD!!!! Just soy sauce or similar flavor food with some spring mix salad, you can grab the similar food at the panda express with dining in and better price!
