Portable Planets is a cute, space-themed boba shop known for its friendly service and delicious, freshly made items. The brown sugar milk tea, soufflé waffles, and passion fruit green tea are highly praised. Some customers have reported inconsistencies in drink quality and boba texture.
Tip: The soufflé takes 50 minutes to prepare, so be prepared to wait or order in advance. Consider ordering drinks with less sweetness.

Super quaint place with a calm atmosphere and friendly staff. The decorations were really cute as well :) The brown sugar boba was very tasty, and the boba was flawless: warm, soft, chewy, and quite sweet. The drink itself also looked quite nice.
This became my favorite daily cafe in the neighborhood!! Healthy and delicious🥰 my favorites are the white grapes burrata salad, club sandwich and Tiramisu. If you like to have something sweet but not too heavy, definitely try their Tiramisu!!! I heard the cafe owner has their own Tiramisu receipt, it’s lighter and taste perfect for me. Even my boyfriend who isn’t a big fan of dessert love this Tiramisu. I’m so glad that they opened this cafe in the neighborhood 🔥🔥🔥
Awesome Boba place. The owners are sweet. The place is clean and decorated really cute. The Eddie is wonderful! My kids gave it two thumbs up! We've tried a bunch of drinks. I wish the passion fruit has seeds still b/c it gave it a great crunch. Either way it's a must if you want good boba or smoothies. My son has the mango smoothie and it is absolutely delicious!
My girlfriend and I went to boba tea planet because we were feeling smoothies. We got the taro comet and sparkling mango lime drink and they were both great. Service was fast and food was cheap. We tried their crystal boba and would recommend to anyone who likes texture but not the taste of boba.
Best quality boba topping; passion fruit green tea is excellent! Also the brown sugar milk tea. They make their soufflé waffles, egg tarts, and taiyaki fresh. Cute and very clean shop.
I went to Boba Portable Planets for the first time on a Sunday afternoon and had the best experience! The customer service was very friendly, my drink (lemon black tea with lychee jelly) was refreshing, and the ambiance was so fun. I appreciate all the cute space themed decorations! I'll definitely be back. Bonus: it's in a plaza with lots of parking, and there's a bathroom!
I randomly stumbled upon this Boba café. It’s a really hot day and I wanted something to cool me down. This is hands-down, the best blended Matcha boba I’ve ever had! Even the tapioca is quality and I didn’t even know that was a thing lol. Service was great, pricing is normal, but I absolutely love as well! It’s durable and if you want to save it for later, you can take the straw out and close up the lid. I will for sure be coming back!
Really cute little boba shop! The employee there was friendly and kind and even gave updates about when my order would be ready. I was the only person in the store at the time I got there. I got the milk tea and added coffee jellies. I asked for it half sweet and it was still pretty sweet! I would definitely go back.
Perfect atmosphere with beautiful declarations. Food tastes really good made by healthy style. Love it and definitely would come again!
The decoration in the store is very suitable for selfies, and the soufflés are also beautifully arranged and delicious. Be sure to try their brown sugar milk tea, you will realize that it is brewed with high-quality tea! Highly recommended!
It is a great place to come with friends. Their waffle is the best I ever had in Irvine!!! Will definitely visit again!!!!
The waffle was exceptional 👌 lite but had an amazing crisp to it. The egg tart was a nice touch with great flavor. The Boba we order the brown sugar milk tea with 25% sweet and it was good from beginning to end. We also order the passion fruit as we'll amd it was also great from beginning to end. The place is nice and extremely clean and a very welcoming staff .
I came in and ordered a thai tea and a strawberry souffle pancake. I got 50% ice and 50% sweet for the tea and it was perfect! The staff warned me that souffle would take 50 minutes to make which was fine by me because I was just going to sit and read. The souffle was so good! (Please look at the smiley faces they made for me) I couldn't eat all of it because the last bit was covered syrup so it was too sweet for me. My only complaint is that I was freezing in there, it felt like the AC was blasting.

Thank you to whoever was working today at 12-2:30. You made it a wonderful experience and I enjoyed the spider verse songs playing while I studied. Also thank you so much for offering water in this heat. I would definitely come back just for the vibes :"))
I tasted Avocado toast, waffles and Latte, and all of them are amazing. The staff are very kind. It is the best place to work or even have fun and enjoy your coffee.
Not a very big store but it has great food. The pancakes are so fluffy that they can be confused for a plate of eggs from far away. Great food, good drinks, nice place overall.
I had the *extreme* pleasure of stopping in here on my road trip and meeting Justin. My brown sugar milk tea w/ cheese foam was probably the best drink I’ve ever had. Justin, I would also let this tea knock me up if possible. You’re the shiz :)
The drinks here are amazing!! I got the brown milk tea with boba! Boba is one of the best boba I have ever had! Will definitely be back! 10/10 recommend!
I stumbled upon this place randomly and I can't get over how good their popcorn chicken is. I swear it's the best I've ever had (and I've eaten a lot in my lifetime). idk if I'm crazy but GET THE POPCORN CHICKEN!
This is a great place not only to hang out but also enjoy a dessert. The prices went up late on the drinks but other than that, they are tasty!
Really cute cafe! Ordered taro latte and mango smoothie and it's the best taro drink I've ever had. Def coming back!
By far this is the best place to get a boba drink, today was my second day in a row that I buy a Boba drink and it is delicious, the price is right and on top of that they gave me a piece of dessert
Good service - person working was very understanding and helped me out when I forgot to include boba in my pickup order!
Their teas are delicious and better priced than others. Their service is great too!
Wow! Must try this new place. Super delicious and healthy food. The customer service is outstanding.
Great place for boba drinks. The workers are friendly.
Good place to relax. I went 2 days in a row on my business trip.
Delicious drinks, quick and friendly service and a nice clean atmosphere.
THE PEOPLE LET ME PICK THE STRAW COLOR 10/10 LOVE EM
Loved their flavors
Really good place, drinks are amazing.
Yummy!! Great place to chill.
Tasty Boba
Great service. Great taste.
Above my expectations. Place is sanitary with an open kitchen (which is a must for boba shops!) Boba tea has strong potent tea flavor. Boba is chewy and fresh. Egg tart is freshly baked, and not too sweet, which I appreciate. Service is great. Relaxing environment. No tacky loud music, which I also appreciate.
Very good boba pearls — they have great flavor and perfect texture! I love it with their passion fruit green tea, and that they’re willing to go the extra mile to make it without seeds, something that not everywhere is willing to do.
Seems like a good place to chill and study, especially the vibe is wholesome and chill. I got myself a mango sunset, now I'm addicted to it. Oops. Also got Taiyaki (Nutella), yummy and hot, so don't burn yourself while eating it. Totally didn't happen to me... It's a fish shaped waffle with filling, for those who don't know. Go try it, enjoy.
Awesome boba tea! I’ve had the Thai tea and classic black tea. My wife loves the taro tea. I get regular or 75% sugar, but she gets no sugar, which is still pretty naturally sweet for the taro. The shop is super clean and they have good WiFi.
Alright so I went here about 2 years ago and I ordered the creme brulu brown sugar milk tea with cheese foam (they had it recommended somewhere) and it is literally the best boba I have EVER had. I seriously think about it all the time which is actually what had me googling it again right now lol. I live in AZ though and there is nothing like this here and I've looked everywhere for something similar. Seriously amazing, I miss this place!!! Also if someone could ever get a picture of the boba poster of the drink I'm talking about I'd be forever grateful!!!
Great place to chill and relax when shopping at south coast. They serve sandwiches, waffles, and variety of drinks. I tried their egg sandwich with cold brew drip coffee and it was delicious. 🤤 Would love to try their waffle next time which looks amazing. Definitely worth a try.
This place has the healthy, delicious menu that Santa Ana is in need of. The food range of a sandwich full of flavor and color to waffles made with such care. The employees here are very considerate and respectable of the costumers here. A perfect place to eat, hangout, and study. The WIFI connection is fast and environment is very relaxed and inviting.
They have the actual best boba I've ever had
Omg the most delicious coconut strawberry smoothie I've ever had. I got mine with boba. There were two workers at the time and they were very quick with our taiyaki and two drinks. Decor is modern but very on the space theme. A small and immersive location.
I’ve been coming here for a while it’s definitely a nice boba shop with good tasting flavors. The employees are all nice as well and I’ve never had a bad interaction/problem here.
The egg tarts there are perfect!
2.5 stars. Not sure why this place gets high ratings. I have been here twice. Both time the drinks are not great. The first time I ordered the Classic Milk Black Tea with boba and it tasted like milk with no tea and even the color was light. I went back to re-order the Thai Tea instead, it was better than the milk black tea, the cashier was nice enough to switch out my drink for free though. Thus the 3 stars. The second time I ordered the Thai Tea again and was disappointing, lack of classic Thai tea flavor. Also ordered Taiyaki, a fish shaped pastry with red bean filling inside, 2 stars again, the waffle part was OK but there was barely any filling in it and took them 10-15 mins to get my order. Not recommended, this is from a person who have had many many different boba teas from different places/shops.

Taiyaki machine was broken which was the whole reason we came. Got drinks and they are not great. Matcha Oreo creme brulee is salty and the Oreo bits are very bitter. Thai tea is passable. Employee was uneducated on the menu and could not help us find non dairy drinks. Also did not seem aware if the taiyaki machine was broken or not.
First time here and the girl working at the counter was kind and the shop was nicely decorated. However, this is the first bubble tea shop I have ever been to that doesn't have real milk. Didn't order a thing as powdered milk in a bubble milk sounds nasty. Not interested in fake bubble tea. Hard pass.
I drink a lot of boba and test a lot of places. I saw a 4.5 review score in google and gave it a try. Completely disappointed. The boba tastes so chemical/ artificial and the tapioca pearls- feel and taste like rubber- you have to chew them for a very long time. Definitely not tapioca. Sorry but this is NOT boba tea. I cannot recommend this place
Boba was too small and very undercooked, making it hard to chew. Tea was too sweet. Only options on Uber were no sweetness “(NOT RECOMMAND)”, 75%, or full sweetness. 75% was way too sweet for me. The cheese foam was salty and yummy, and cut the sweetness nicely. But the boba was inedible.

Hope the owners see this. I won’t be returning. I’ve been coming to this boba spot since I’ve discovered it! But today was a weird interaction. The girl told me they ran out of boba…. Hmmmm the people sitting had boba.. I tried ordering online the boba option was available. So why didn’t she want to give me boba? Boba is in your name!
Soufflé was moist and fluffy when I came before. Not sure if they changed the ingredients or the time/temperature was wrong, it’s very dry, tastes like very dry cake, not fluffy at all… disappointed
Oreo Creme Brûlée Matcha - Overpriced, The drink was absolutely TRASH. First time I had to throw away a boba - too much matcha, boba pearls were not fresh and it was bitter as hell. Moreover, it was listed as a top 10 drink. Do not recommend this place at all!!

they need to clearly update their menu because i searched up "popcorn chicken" and this place came up, but they don’t even have it here. the drinks are probably good, but don’t expect popcorn chicken here.
Took 30 minutes to get out just 1 drink. Waited to face a fruit tea that tastes nasty. It's odd that people that came after us got their drinks and food before me. Ten out of ten do not recommend.
Whoever the young girl is with the glasses needs to get a new job, or figure it out. I’m tired of employees acting like brats and then being stuck up from the get know when they’re in the wrong about the most simplest thing. Not to mention obviously she needs training. I mean if I know I have to make 10 drinks, and most are complicated things, slushies, etc… don’t you think it’ll be wise to make what’s easy first, like if i want a water do I have to wait behind 10 orders just to get a darn water! Common sense, replace her so she can go back to school and get a GED at least
