The restaurant is nice and clean the food is amazing .. Delicious homemade tortillas ! ... The coffee has a cinnamon taste so good... And the waitress was friendly and attentive... We will definitely be coming back 😃

Really authentic and delicious Mexican food. I've been coming here for years and they're always great. I keep bringing friends to try their food and everyone loves the taste and authenticity.

This was my first visit to Retaurant Mary. The authentic Mexican food was fresh, delicious and reasonably priced. The service was outstanding. Our server, I believe the owner, was very attentive and polite. I had the chicken burrito with refried beens and rice. It was a feast, more food than I would normally eat for lunch but everythng it was so good I finished every bite. What more can you ask from an independently owned and operated restaurant. I plan to return soon.

Tasty, authentic food, great service. From the drinks in ice cold tumblers to the chips and delicious tomato-chile-paste salsa, to the really good refried beans and rice and the chicken molé and fajitas con bistek, the meals were perfect. The flan was good, too. Only one note for you if you drive here: Do not park in the Mariscos parking lot -- we were shooed out and told to drive around and park in the dedicated lot behind Mary's! Not another car in either lot at the time, but... okay.

The food here is so delicious and cheap! The service is top notch. Everytime my family and I come in they always remember us and great us like we are friends.

Wonderful homemade food and hand-formed tortillas. Get here yesterday to enjoy the lightly battered chili rellenos and fresh salsa verde.

I was in town on business and felt a cold coming on--not acceptable when there's work to be done.. Got a large order of birria de chivo and some extra tortillas to go. The dining area is charming and the servers friendly so I would have stayed had I been feeling better. Ate my stew in my hotel room with the TV for company. Delicious. I mean, REALLY delicious. The next morning I woke up feeling revitalized. I can only conclude that the food at Restaurant Mary has magical restorative powers. I will definitely be eating there again.

This is the best authentic Mexican food around. Their sauces are made from scratch and everything is delicious. Also the owners are sweet and are kind to their customers. My favorite item is the Mole Chilaquiles.

Loved the 3 egg plate with rice and beens for only $9.99! Including handmade tortillas. Eggs came with green sauce, red sauce, and sour cream. Also order cosrillitas en salsa verde, which are cut pork ribs in a green sauce, also with rice and beans.

A very special cozy place with great Mexican food and Diego Rivera prints, this restaurant was founded by three guys who used to work at Anaheim's legendary, tragically passed, German Restaurant the Jagerhaus. In fact Ruben and his two amigos plan to change the name to Tres JG (3 Jagerhaus Guys.). We loved the albondigas and the chorizo plate, next time we'll try the posole!

For someone that comes from Michoacan, this establishment definitely hit the mark! Restaurant Mary's is an amazing, small local restaurant in city's downtown area. The decor is simple but gorgeous. Heavy wooden tables lined with hand carved and painted chairs, each one with a different design. The server was very kind and attentive. We were given some chips with house made salsa to start, the chips were fresh and delicious. The green and red salsa were homemade and the red salsa had a very nice heat to it, made me perspire a bit lol but trust me when I say that I love spicy food and this was a solid 7 of 10 on the heat scale. The appetizer we ordered was their choriqueso, melted cheese topped with sautéed to perfection chorizo. Rich and delicious! The tortillas, the deliciously handmade tortillas!! Wow what a nostalgic trip down memory lane. It definitely brought back memories of my grandmothers handmade tortillas. Thick and hearty deliciousness. For the main course, we ordered the pork chuletas in red sauce and the michoacan enchiladas. Both dishes were superb. The thin cut pork chops were seasoned to perfection and were swimming in a delicious red sauce. Paired with perfectly cooked beans and rice (not from a can or bag by the way). The enchiladas were very simple and delicious, trust me when I say that these "simple" enchiladas are packed with flavor. Served just like mom would serve with a side of lechuga and a hearty piece of steak to boot. Yum!! I also ordered a Tamarindo and horchata, the Tamarindo agua was fantastic. Great flavor. The horchata was a bit of a miss for my liking. Needed a bit more cinnamon and sugar in my personal opinion. I am so glad we happen to find this hidden gem while traveling. Next time I'm visiting from Las Vegas, this is definitely an establishment I'm coming back to!

I gave this restaurant a 3-star over my wife's to Star just because the food is really good but if you're looking for fast food this is not the place there are very slow Hispanic group they get you fed eventually but if you're on a time crunch I would definitely skip this place they don't even have cash registers here when I went November 2018 so hopefully they start getting with the times and expand inside a little bit more for the Elbow Room I also recommend hiring a second waitress

Restaurant Mary was once a local go-to for delicious Mexican food & fresh, homemade tortillas until I went for soup and watched the kitchen staff microwave it before bringing the piping hot bowl to my table. After that, I rarely visit because why pay someone to microwave soup?

I always think of something small always being clean. I would like to see the blinds,windowsills and decorations on the wall cleaned. The food was good but it seems they cater to people that eat spicy. I asked for Chile rellenos and they didn't come with sauce because the sauce was spicy and I don't eat spicy. They were very plain and dry.

Food is delicious but don't be fooled the prices on the website posole is 7.99 well it's was 17.00 it's one of those things to good to be true ( False advertising )

The rice needs to be improved, a lot. I've tried the Menudo, enchiladas, and chilaquiles, to name a few. Overall, it was overpriced for the quality.

Service was Great, the place itself was a little dirty, Food was nothing special. The Steak Fajitas a little too dry! (Over cooked) The Shrimp Cocktail was Sweet instead of Savory, and the Chilaquiles NOT good.

Way overpriced, food quality went way down and all the employees did was sit around and eat. There was no fresh orange juice.

Very friendly. Attentive. Looks like a cool place for lunch. My order was to go. Food was just blah. Asada was hard to chew and were larger type pieces, not really bite sized pieces especially when the meat pieces were connected to each other. Was not cut up for a torta or sope. Service and Salsa were good.

My order took to long and my menudo had only a few peaces. It was good but it had too little menudo. I don't know if that's how they serve each order.

Had the enchiladas estilo michoacan but they lacked the traditional tomatoe sauce which makes them special. My husband had the mole rojo but it was overly sweet and over power by cinnamon flavor.

I really liked the food here, so much so I decided to come back for a second visit. I ordered the identical item not a single change and the price skyrocketed over $5. I don't see how this is a simple error as the lady was trying everything to convince me they didn't charge me for something they prior day. I ask what was different in my exact order from yesterday? Steak chilaquilles with red sauce scrambled eggs. She tells me "you ordered them with eggs" this time. They always come with eggs! I truly feel like these people were trying to get one up on me and have already reported then to the Santa's Ana department of commerce.

Who is reviewing this place?! The food might be different if you stayed and eaten in the place. Ordered several Carne Asada Tortas to go!!!.. WOW... no MEAT, Bad Avacados.. No Beans... What the heck man... By far the worst Torta I have ever eaten in Santa Ana... I went because of the reviews... Never again listening to idiots about good food... Should have stuck with my go to places...Taqueria El Zamarano or Torta y Bionicos... Stay away from this place if you going to eat a Torta..

I'm beyond disappointed! I was craving tacos so i rushed over on my lunch at work after calling in my order for 3 tacos. I paid $10 for 3 tacos that had burnt meat and just tasted bad. I will never go back.
