Got really hungry at midnight and wanted to have korean BBQ. Found this place on google map and had shprt ribs, brisket and beef tongues. Meat was very fresh and delicious. The salad is amazing. Will add to my late night food list. Parking can be tricky, but they do have parking in the back near the restaurant ( on the left side)
A friend of mine invited me to Gooyi Gooyi 4 years ago. She said she starts coming to high school! I have to say It is one of my favorite Korean BBQs in the Bay Area. I love the vibes and food. Totally cost around $130 Vibes: good pop music and lighting! Nice Korean late-night street bar style! Food: I ordered combo #1 and make some adjustments. I changed the pork belly to short rib and added Kimchi fried rice: Beef brisket: it is so good! I dipped it into the sesame oil with salt and eat it with slices of green onions! Sometimes I eat it with garlic Bone-less slice short-ribs: this is always my favorite! They usually cook it after brisket, I ate it in the same style as brisket. I added rice cake on it and added some kimchi and even better! Steamed egg: It came with the combo and a good combination with meat! Soybean soup: it came in the last. A nice warm tasty soybean soup ! I personally really like it but I know some people can’t accept the tasty. Kimchi Fried Rice: I always ordered and added pork sausage because it is really satisfy after a tired day. It includes seaweed and made it tastes even better ! Totally cost: around $130 after tax and tips Parking: parking is really hard, I parked on the next store and walked to the restaurant
Been coming here more than 10 years. It's my favorite go to spot for Korean BBQ. The servers are super nice and attentive. Top quality food and service. Can't wait till the pandemic is over to dine at the restaurant again.
Best Korean BBQ in town...hands down. You don't get more authentic, better quality meats, better bonchon than Gooyi Gooyi. Their service and overall dining experience is hands down the best for Korean BBQ. Wife and I have been coming here for years and it's always consistent. Love that they offer rice paper...sliced fish cakes, kimchee is so tasty!
Great food!! Omg. Best Korean bbq I ever have. Highly recommended. Will come again. Waitresses are beautiful but never smile (probably bc too busy)
One of my favorite late night go-to places. The package choices are the way to go. The meat is plentiful and the fact that they cook for you means you can sit back and just enjoy the food and cold beer and soju with your friends. I always opt for the Kimchi Fried Rice after to mix with the leftover meat. Excellent for breakfast the next day. Parking sucks but you can park on the street if needed.
One of my favorite Korean BBQ in South Bay area. They provide so many side dishes and the meat quality is always good.
Super authentic Korean bbq that stands out in Korean town! The service is speedy and awesome. Meat is fresh and well marinated. We ordered 3 serving course and a cold noodle to serve 4 people.

김치볶음밥 진짜맛있습니다 ㅠ Really well fed. Thank you for the authentic Korean barbecue. As a Korean, I’ve lived in this neighborhood for over 10 years, and this was actually my first time visiting. I honestly don’t understand why the reviews are so low. This is one of the most authentically Korean restaurants I’ve been to around the Bay area recently. Many newly opened Korean restaurants near here tend to be overly sweet, which makes them hard to enjoy, but this place truly feels like a real Korean 고깃집. The doenjang, the side dishes, everything felt very authentic. Contrary to some of the reviews, the service was not bad at all, and there was no forced tipping. 잘먹고갑니다 사장님
Great place to eat! Get the combos for a great variety. The cool the food from you and make fried rice at the end. Will visit again.

Yummy Korean food that is cooked for you. Typically, I am the one cooking for the family but not this time. I was able to enjoy it Unmarinated meat was my favorite dipped in the salt and pepper sauce. Pork neck was surprisingly delicious along with the beef tongue (not as bad as it sounds, it is thinly sliced).
Staffs can be a little impatient but still polite, but I understand, they are very busy! This is a very busy Korean BBQ place. Food are delicious! They help us with the BBQ. Ordered the combo for 2, and that's A LOT OF FOOD! Will definitely be back. Be sure to call to get a reservation. I was lucky I was early and got me a table. And that place got really busy with long waitlist.
Food was good especially when it is hard to find anything at midnight. Friendly and attentive.
Food: Decent meat quality and good banchan. The steamed egg and soup were very mediocre. The full set for 3 people comes with a single bottle of beer. I think it was pretty expensive for the price (spent $200 for 3 people, inclusive of tip). Service: The owner is awesome; no fuss kind of service where they cook the meats for you. Pretty quick service; on a Friday night, we only waited around 10 min for 3 people Ambience: Love the party / fun vibes! Parking: Limited parking - there’s a number of small restaurants here, but a small parking lot
The side dishes are excellent, but the meat qualities are just okay. The waitress is kinda rushing to ask for the bill!
My go-to place for Korean BBQ and soju. Quick, friendly service and open till 2AM so a nice way to end the night. Be prepared for large portions and request their kimchi fried rice.

The service was too bad. They refused to serve us until our party was present. And there was an uncomfortable rush to vacate our table before we had even finished our meal. If there is time limitation on dining, it should be clearly communicated, perhaps displayed at the entrance. The food is over priced. And it’s very hard to find a parking spot. Would never come back again. If you want to get together with your friends and enjoy your meal, avoid this place!
Pro: meat quality is good that’s all Con: 1. We have 5 people but we don’t wanna eat a lot with small stomach, so we choose combo for set of 3. And the server force us to order one more meat ??? 2. At payment, ask us give 18% tip when we wrote 15%. Very rude attitude. I won’t go this place again. There are many good quality Korean around .

BEWARE! They will force you to tip 18% even no matter how many people are dining. It's not printed on the menu, so no upfront information at all. You would only know when you get the receipt with a tiny tiny line at the bottom saying 18% is required no matter how many people in the party. Mind you we were only 2 people, and we cooked our own meat from start to end. Will not come back.
If you’re looking for a great experience, this might not be the best choice. The food is okay, but the service could use some improvement. They have a fixed 18% tip, regardless of the service quality, and the place isn’t the cleanest. It’s open late, but there are better options out there. I’d suggest looking elsewhere for a more pleasant visit.

We arrived at 7:30 PM and were told to join the waiting list. We were the first name on the list and even spoke directly to the owner when we arrived. So we waited — outside, for 30 minutes — with absolutely no update. Then out of nowhere, the owner finally tells us we’ll need to wait at least another hour because of existing reservations. Why wasn’t this mentioned up front? If reservations are going to take priority no matter what, just say so. Don’t make walk-in customers wait around with false expectations. It’s incredibly disrespectful to waste people’s time like this. A simple explanation at the beginning would’ve saved us half an hour of standing around for nothing.
Food was honestly fine. This is my 5th visit, and this is the first time I've been this disappointed. they overcooked the pork belly, and service was what really disappointed me. When it was time to tip, they said that we had to tip 18% minimum (which was "requested" not "required" as per the receipt). Not only that, but the only time they truly paid attention to us was to watch us write down how much we were tipping. Initially, we were going to tip 15% since service was fine, NOT good, but the staff sat behind us and corrected us. She proceeded to stay behind us until we checked the 18% box and signed the bill. Definitely not coming back :p The food here is not good enough to balance out the bad service. Not to mention, they don't take the food off the grill when it's done cooking, so it gets super dry and overcooked if you aren't constantly stuffing your face. They also have a requirement of 1 order of meat per person, but it's not mentioned anywhere on the menu. This means they put you on the spot when you're trying to order. DPMO
