I visited Rise Woodfire Pizza recently and had an excellent experience. I ordered the Medjool Date & Goat Cheese Pizza with an added burrata topping, along with fresh orange juice. The pizza was absolutely delicious. The combination of sweet Medjool dates, tangy goat cheese, and creamy burrata was outstanding, and the crust was perfectly wood-fired. The portion size was generous and more than sufficient for one hungry person. Overall, this was a highly satisfying meal, and I would definitely recommend Rise Woodfire Pizza to anyone looking for unique and flavorful wood-fired pizzas.

They have a really nice outdoor patio area, and it is great if you want to bring your dog. The cornbread was okay, nothing special. The chicken was good and nicely seasoned. The real standouts were the mac and cheese and the carne pizza. Those are the dishes I would definitely recommend. The broccolini was just okay and did not really stand out.

My husband and I had a date night here recently. Sat in the bar because the restaurant was packed. Always a good sign in my book. We had a great night and the Holiday decorations were beautiful. The bar tender, Ash was very attentive despite working the bar solo. We laughed and chatted it up. All in all a good night.

Needed something new to eat since I'm in the area often, found this place and ordered the woodfire Classic Pizza, came with pepperoni, sausage, mushroom with basil on top with traditional tomatoes sauce. Food came out quickly and service was great. Was seated right away with no wait. Will definitely be adding this place to return

Daniel and Leticia took great care of our party of 8. We had hungry little kids and adults, and they got us taken care of right away. Service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. I also want to give an extra thank you to Daniel! I was very impressed with how he handled an issue with one of our orders with urgency and professionalism. Menu was a nice surprise. I was expecting amazing pizza but we got that and more. The prime rib was delicious as were the ribs and chicken. I’m glad we chose Rise for our post baseball tournament. What a great experience!

Ordered Margherita pizza with olives and jalapeno, I've always been a fan of their Margherita and tried these extra toppings. The pizza was good, as usual. Someone asked me if I wanted ranch and got me their house-made ranch which was great. The drink (rad ... in the non-alcoholic section) was refreshing. I there alone but did not get bored, ambiance is nice.

Rise Woodfire is one of those rare finds that nails both style and substance. We came on a Sunday afternoon around 2:30, and enjoyed the comforting smell of wood-fired everything in the air. The space is surprisingly large, with a chill, breezy vibe outside and a sleek, modern feel inside. High ceilings, open kitchen, bustling bar—you can actually see the wood-fired ovens in action, which adds so much to the experience. It’s the kind of place where you instantly relax but still feel like you’re somewhere special. We started with the creamy, garlicky hummus and warm pita, followed by bubbling hot mac and cheese, a crisp Margherita pizza, and a perfectly medium-rare side of ribeye. The salmon (ordered clean with no oil) was light, flaky, and beautifully done. The salad brought freshness and crunch, rounding everything out. Dessert looked incredible—most are wood-fired and come warm with a scoop of ice cream—but we were too full (next time, it’s happening). Bonus points for the full bar and a rare find: Green Chartreuse. This is a spot I’ll be recommending again and again—for the food, the vibe, and the way it all just works. Shoutout to Rocio who was so attentive and kind and just was so patient with my picky order.

This is our first meal here with Resturaunt just opening was. What a treat, from the decor, the atmosphere, the staff and the meals we had… absolutely a delightful experience. The specialty cookie Was amazing, as was the pizza, the appetizer chicken wings, the Barata prosciutto and melon appetizer. Needless to say my wife and I are way over it, but will die tomorrow he he. We will certainly be back.

Pizza: had 3 different pizzas and they all are amazing!! Spicy Hawaiian is my fav then double pepperoni. Pizza is fresh, taste fresh and doesn’t leave you feeling heavy.. price isn’t too bad. They get you on the drinks though. That’s where it adds up. Only issue is they served me a Shirley temple a broken glass and server took awhile to bring me a new one…. It can get loud in there, so i understand what others are saying it’s great food I would definitely come back. Might be my go to pizza spot.

Tried thier Margrita and Pesto spinach pizza for dinner. Apart from restaurant being little loud, everything was great. Pizza was fresh and crisp. Must try restaurant if you're in pizza game. Solid 8.9 pizza.

My husband and I went here with my aunt and uncle for dinner on a Sunday evening. Between the four of us, we ordered 3 pizzas, a chicken cobb salad, and coffee and pie for dessert. All of the food was delicious and well made. Service was overall fine, our waitress was attentive to our table. At one point they tried to provide us with a pizza that we did not order. While eventually the issue was resolved and we got the correct pizza, that indicated to me that maybe there were potentially some communication/management issues.

I have come here a few times for lunch with coworkers, but this was my first time having dinner with my toddler—and it was fantastic. The vibe and service were phenomenal. I had no idea how kid- and mom-friendly this place is! We were cutting it close to my 2-year-old’s dinner time, and they were so accommodating—letting us order ahead so everything was ready when we arrived. Huge thanks to Gerardo for checking in on us throughout the evening and truly making my kid’s day. We’ll definitely be back!

I went with my daughter and had a delicious meal of Brussels sprouts, margarita pizza and 1/2 roasted chicken. In a hip dining room we sat in a comfortable booth. Our server was friendly and attentive. We definitely plan to go back:-)!

Rise has done it again! I always eat the pizza at their other locations but this time went for the beef ribs which were great, although the silent hero may be their cole slaw - yum! Gerardo took great care of our huge group, with a smile on his face and even a few stories to top it all off. The space feels grand yet cozy and inviting at the same time, so I could see coming back here for lots of different occasions.

Love this restaurant! This is slowly becoming our favourite restaurant in the Bay Area. My husband and son LOVE the prime rib, good quality prime rib, executed perfectly, available Thursdays through Sunday. Everyone in the fam loves the pizza; my favourites are the prosciutto & arugula and the Margherita pizza. Then there's dessert, omg! The basque cheesecake is to die for, and the celebration cake is fully of chocolate-y goodness. Decent wine list, good quality food at reasonable prices. It's nice not having to drive to Palo Alto, Los Gatos for this quality of food.

We had a fantastic time eating at Rise Woodfire in Santa Clara with our family and friends. The service was warm and friendly, the inside of the restaurant is beautiful with exposed beams and modern decor, and of course the most important, the food and the drinks were excellent. We enjoyed two different pizzas (prosciutto and carne) that were flavorful and great portions as well as some very well-made old fashioneds! The kids enjoyed their margherita pizzas and dessert. Five stars all around!!

I was there for lunch the other day. Pricy but *excellent* food (I had prime rib, my buddy had most of a pizza). The atmosphere wasn't overloud and the staff were efficient and friendly. I highly recommend this place for the not-the-usual good lunch that you want to go well (and take more than an hour at).

Mod'z Pizza, Mountain Mike's Pizza, doesn't even begin to compare. This place got me thinking what kind of🍕 I've been eating my entire life. My kids enjoyed it as well. The atmosphere is very nice, well lit and the service deserves a solid 5 star. Sorry I don't have photos to share of the food because their wasn't any left. I'd come back tomorrow.

Nice ambience and amazing pizzaa. We ordered the harissa spied hummus and medjool date + chevre pizza and loved every bite.

We had a wonderful dinner at Rise tonight! Sat outside so we could bring our dog. Daniel was our server and he even poured our dog some cold water in her bowl. How sweet that was! The food was delicious as always, and I particularly love the Brussels sprouts with a side of garlic aioli, YUM! The Kazbah is enough for 2 very filling meals and is my favorite. My husband got the salmon and said it was delicious. And the mashed potatoes are to die for! We topped it off with cheesecake and an enormous slice of chocolate celebration cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Daniel was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. He was polite, friendly, and knowledgeable about everything in the menu. Highly recommend the new Rise location and will definitely be going back soon!

For appetizers we went with jalapeño corn bread which had the jalapeño flavor with corn and… bread. It comes with a slightly sweet honey butter which made it a sweet treat. Next we got the Burrata + Tomatoes with Pesto which was a very refreshing treat. I’m a big fan of the pesto here and the burrata on the toast made it a nice appetizer. For pizzas we went with margherita which was solid, just slightly wet. The sauce went all over the plate but it’s a nice subtle melody of tomato pizza with basil. Next we got the salsiccia which was a nice savory pizza with chives and fennel seeds. We added pesto too and made for a very nice hearty pizza. Lastly we got the calabrese + honey. I don’t really taste the honey except for on the crust so for me it wasn’t that salt and sweet pizza I was hoping to be. It was just another ham pizza at the end of the day. For drinks, I ordered the nectar on the rise which I absolutely love. Very nice tequila with ginger beer cocktail. My friend ordered peacock daisy which didn’t have a lasting taste. It felt flat and not great. Service isn’t too bad. We had to keep asking for water when our jar was empty. We also had to wait forever for our waiter to come get the check. Overall, our next door table was super noisy, super belligerent because they were so inebriated. But overall without them, this place would be a chill pizzeria.

Get the pizza and jalapeño cornbread. Rotisserie chicken is dry and not worth it. The service was amazing. An Asian female with glasses went above and beyond to make great suggestions. Plus her helping us place our leftovers on boxes was icing on the cake.

We sat on the patio for a late lunch around 2:00. It took the waiter a while to get to our table. The food showed up fairly quickly. They forgot to give me the au jus for my French dip and it took a while to get it. Once it finally showed up it was cold. I didn't see our waiter anywhere so I just ate it. It took forever to get any refills as well. There were also about 5 tables around us that hadn't been bussed and we're dirty for a while. We were really hoping that this place was good but that was not a good first impression. As someone who has worked in food service it is quite clear that they haven't been trained properly.

This was my first time ordering from Risewood Fire Pizza. Daniel, the supervisor, was very nice and professional, great customer service and friendly attitude. However, I was a bit disappointed with the food. The pizza had a very wet bottom, and the dough ended up soggy. I also paid extra for chicken topping, but there was barely any chicken on the pizza. I also ordered the rotisserie chicken, which came with chimichurri sauce. Unfortunately, the sauce was more like oil with herbs, not really a proper chimichurri. It lacked flavor and didn’t do much to complement the chicken. I really wanted to enjoy everything, and the service was great, but the food didn’t meet expectations this time. I hope the kitchen can improve on these points.

The food is very good, but the service is very poor. We ordered two appetizers and two sides. My wife's appetizer arrived very late, when my appetizer was already cold. The sides arrived after I finished my dish, so we sent them back. Not a good dining experience. The place is crowded, the acoustics is bad and the music is too loud to allow for a conversation without shouting. Overall, a disappointment.

Server was good, we placed our order, and they came back saying they were out of prime rib, tried to order a pizza to replace that, and we're told they're out of pizza, which is kinda their focus. Ordered the beef ribs as a last option, and they were dry, and 99% bone with just a tiny amount of meat on them. Seems that they're pretty new, and hope they can figure it out, because it seemed like a nice place with a good menu.

I got a margherita pizza from them a while ago and it was better than fast food pizza but nothing special. Today however, I received one of the worst salads you can make with the ingredients they used in it. It was a Cobb salad that was nothing but mediocre for 22.50 with darkened avocados on it. I was expecting a tastier salad because of the price point but I'd rather have the cobb from a Chick Fil'a (and it would be almost half the price). This is just another restaurant that looks nice with mediocre and overpriced food.

One Star — Would Give Less If I Could ⭐☆☆☆☆ I really wanted to love Rise Woodfire in Santa Clara, but the experience was a total letdown from beginning to end. This was supposed to be a fun afternoon date with my wife after errands—and based on my fantastic San Mateo visit, I had high hopes. Unfortunately, Santa Clara didn’t even come close. The Food: • Pesto Lemon Shrimp Pizza was flavorful with just the right char • Jalapeño Cheddar Cornbread packed a great kick • Henhouse IPA hit the spot, and the Housemade Lemonade was refreshingly balanced Kitchen = 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Service: • Took over 10 minutes just to place our order ⏱️ • No one checked back for napkins, straws, or how things were tasting • We weren’t offered dessert or anything else 🍰 • They didn’t even check me in on OpenTable 📅 • Getting the check dragged on, and no manager was available when asked Not being offered dessert or a second drink—or even a quick “How’s everything?”—is table stakes. The whole experience felt flat, like we were just another few seats to get through, not guests to delight. One star is being generous—and only because the food was genuinely good. 😞 ⸻ I’m very disappointed and feel like I was short‑changed on the experience, especially since it didn’t match my first visit at your San Mateo location. I truly hope you’ll reach out to me to discuss this further and see how the Santa Clara team might improve.

There’s a specific brand of heartbreak found in a sixty-dollar check for a meal that has the culinary soul of a damp rag. It’s the kind of cooking that doesn't just fail; it offends through sheer, unadulterated boredom. ​The roasted chicken was a masterclass in neutrality. It sat there, pale and weeping, with meat so utterly bereft of seasoning it felt like an insult to the bird that died for it. Even the chimichurri—usually the bright, garlicky punk rock of sauces—couldn't kick this corpse back to life. It was a half-hearted smear of green on a canvas of nothing. ​Then came the sides: ​The Mashed Potatoes: A smooth, featureless landscape of starch that clearly hadn't made the acquaintance of salt, butter, or joy. ​The Mac and Cheese: A depressing, white architectural mass of plain béchamel. No sharp cheddar bite, no funk, no soul—just a heavy, unseasoned reminder of what happens when a kitchen stops caring. ​The Brussels sprouts were actually good—charred and seasoned—but you don’t pay sixty bucks for a vegetable consolation prize. ​Look, we live in a world where you can walk into a Costco, drop five bucks, and walk out with a rotisserie chicken that has ten times the moisture and flavor of this over-engineered disappointment. If this place is on your radar, do yourself a favor: stay home, crack a beer, and roast your own.

I had a disappointing experience with this pizza store, and unfortunately, it seems to stem from poor management and a lack of discipline in how the business is run. When I called to place an order, I asked if they accepted phone orders. The person on the phone confirmed they did, so I went ahead and ordered a chicken pizza. She told me it would be ready in 15 minutes, but her tone was so indifferent and unprofessional that it felt like she didn’t care about her job at all. After 15 minutes, I arrived at the store. The receptionist tried to locate my order but couldn’t find it. To my surprise, he then asked me to pay so they could start making the pizza! This showed a complete lack of coordination and organization. I ended up paying and waiting another 15 minutes for them to prepare it. The pizza itself was another letdown. The chicken tasted stale, as if it had been sitting for days, and it had an unpleasant smell. It seemed like they just threw on scraps of chicken from the counter rather than using fresh, quality ingredients. The bread was tough, dry, and hard to chew, making the meal even less enjoyable. Overall, this experience reflects poorly on the store's owner or management. It’s clear they haven’t properly trained their staff or implemented the discipline needed to run a business efficiently. Poor training and a lack of organization are the reasons customers like me have such an unpleasant experience. I would rate them 1 star and definitely wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Food came pretty fast. Pizza was ok, nothing special. Salad was pricy with added salmon. We were bothered by flies the whole time they kept landing on our food and flying around our faces while trying to eat. $80+ for 2 medium sized pizzas and a salad with salmon on top. Something in Kazbah salad made my wife become covered in hives

This place was an absolute disgrace. From the moment we walked in, we were blatantly ignored by every staff member despite the restaurant being nearly empty. No one greeted us, no one took care of us, and I had to get my own drink while employees stood around and stared. The staff made it clear they couldn’t care less if we were there, and their complete lack of basic decency was insulting.

Many things labeled gluten free but not actually gluten free. The asparagus for example comes served with panko breadcrumbs. It's as if the person designing the menue was just pasting the GF symbol based on the concept of the dish in question vs how its actually served and prepared. Management proudly informed me that they cannot follow health code when informed of an allergy as well.

Worst pizza I ate. It’s really hard to mess up pizza but they did. I ordered Hawaiian, the pizza was soft, chewy, mushy, and was falling off. I also ordered wings with bbq sauce but got some kind of indian sauce, not sure if that’s their bbq sauce, bottom line, won’t be ordering food from here again.

This review is not based on the food quality, but more about the restaurants inability to provide allergen information. I called to ask about the ingredients in the gluten free crust and dairy free cheese. All the person could give me was the brand they buy from. As a restaurant that offers allergy friendly options and marks allergens on their menu, it’s unacceptable to not provide this information especially for pizza items at a pizza place.
