Gotta be amongst the best fast food restaurants in Santa maria, staff is super friendly and diverse which is nice to see. McDonald's don't hold up a finger to what Carl's jr is dishin out!

Went in today for one of the best big Carl meal! I was so stunned to see the shift leader alone packing and taking orders in dine in and drive thru! Poor girl and she still greeted and had great customer service and apologized for the wait !

The employees are nice they don't rush you. They where fast with getting me my food and the food was fresh. The place was clean. They were stocking when I walked in. There was no line. When I went through dirve-thru there was someone tell me "Thank you for choosing Carl's Jr what can I get started for you today" even though they keep asking anything else they are making sure that's it. Sometime the drive-thru speaker cuts out sometimes. They always seem to have a smile on their face. I had asked them to remake it for me because I forgot to ask for no sauce on my famous star and they obliged.The cashiers always seen to be joking with eachother in a positive way. I recommend eating here.

Better than average fast food, and nice, friendly staff, clean restaurant. It also has the Green Burrito menu, which is better than some mass "Mexican food" chains. Try the Grilled Burrito combo platter for a full meal with very tasty rice, beans, chips and drink. Also, they have a wider variety of burgers, grilled chicken sandwiches, and $5 budget meals than any other chain in the area. Same for sides, with criss-cut fries or fried zucchini alternatives.

The food very well. I prefer Carl's Jr over others, their burgers are still a good size, but they don't serve ketchup. you have to ask them at the window if they don't give you. I'm talking when you go for the drive tru.

My personal all time favorite fast food burger place. I have always enjoyed the double western bacon cheeseburger. This location seemed short handed, but the staff was working as efficiently as I believe they could.

I love Carl's Jr. We go for the famous star. It never disappoints and didn't this time. We did order fried zucchini and was disappointed I had to ask for ranch to go with it. We had been travelling and found the bathrooms also had pin pad entry locks on them. We had to pay for our food before we could use them. We will still go as the famous star is our favorite. I'm sorry that they have to be concerned about who uses their facilities.

I actually forgot how much I liked Carl's Jr back in the day. I'd go there for their Santa Fe Chicken sandwich, which even 15 to 20 years ago, was expensive at the time. I believe then it was $4.50, and now it comes out to $9.00 with tax. I noticed that the spicy chicken is $3.50, and there's no longer anywhere near a dollar menu, which is I guess the new norm among fast food joints. I don't blame them due to short staffing issues and general supply chain issues as well. I also love going here for breakfast, and getting their "loaded" breakfast burrito. It actually tastes pretty damn good for a fast food breakfast burrito. Doesn't taste "fake".

Food was hot and on point. Guy working the window and speaker seemed to hate his job. I have never heard such disdain through a speaker. WOW! Could of been 5 stars but 2 were removed for this guy's lousy attitude.

It wasn't terrible but it wasn't great. Onion rings were cold and old. Western bacon cheeseburger was pretty good except the bacon tasted old and hard. Service was good.

I do love Carl's Jr but this one is pretty not good. I can't recall how many times they have been out of large coffee cups. I mean, once I can understand, but this has happened at least three different times. They've also screwed up my change a couple times where I didn't realize until I got home and looked to find I was short (10 bucks once!). I've started going to this one only when I can go inside the restaurant so I can check for mistakes without feeling like I'm holding up the line. Inside is usually clean and hasn't seemed crowded. Staff aren't typically friendly but I guess that's too much to ask for in fast food (outside of Chic-Fil-A, and they make it weird). Anyway, if you have time head over to the one on Broadway and Betteravia. Seems to be run a little better.

Depressive patio, average service. We like to bring our pup for lunch which is why we choose places with outdoor seating. The patio was dirty (pizza in box trash on ground and sun baked for days it appeared) and has absolutely no shade or greenery. The patio door was locked so re-entry into the restaurand required going out the emergency wxit gate then back into the front doors. Patio chairs.were welded to the tables so no adjusting ones comfort position. The food was barely average, and when the server robotically asked if she could get anything else for us, she seemed put out that we asked for napkins even though she had just brought our food to us on a tray, without any. I will choose the restaurant across the street next time; it has a park like eating area.

So disappointed in our meal, I love and grew up on Carl's jr. My order was cold , not made right took over 20 minutes to get, daughters burger was cold also. I won't ever stop eating at Carl's but won't eat at this location any more.....

The food is fine. Its the customer service. Not only do they not listen but they're rude as hell. You walk in and the servers are on their cellphones. Then they give you attitude like its your fault.. They act like its such an inconvenience. Its their job. Dont like it. Work somewhere else. With a better attitude

Carl's Junior usually serves up a decent "fast food" meal but unfortunately this time everything was cold. They were happy to make me another, hotter order eventhough they were very understaffed to handle the drive thru & dine-in customers. Wouldn't have been a problem if I wasn't in a hurry! This experience won't stop me from eating there again when I'm on a road trip & starving.

Food is good but expensive!! We ordered 2 medium combos and it was $26. I thought she had added an additional or something...so we got to the window and the order was correct. I asked if prices had gone up and the cashier said YES QUITE A BIT. We decided we didn't want the meals and cashier said she didn't blame us.

Slow. Very very very slooooow. I got the impression that they would rather be doing anything else. At first I thought they were understaffed. My son and I noticed people texting as they were going by the window and chatting. Just really no kind of Hustle. Like they had all day to get your orders out. The weirdest thing I've encountered. It was like they were stoned. I wish I was joking serious as a heart attack weirdest thing ever. Not rude just indifferent to what their task was supposed to be you know serving the people at the window the drive-thru, weird. Oh yeah I spent $55 I had to tell her to put my drinks in a carrier and all my food three big sandwiches three large orders of fries all smashed into one bag that you couldn't close because it was so full. I got home the burgers were screwed up because they were smashed in there. I guess I will only go to the one on Broadway. I do love Carl's jr. When I do go get take out I won't go to the one near Hobby Lobby. Really weird Staffing. Corporate you need to look in on this store.

Food was soggy, not real surprise, but the service was the bad part. I specifically asked for the barbecue sauce that is on the western bacon cheeseburger and he handed me a couple packets a barbecue sauce. I later opened them to find that they're not at all the sauce on the western and now I have a very dry Western bacon cheeseburger.

The food was noticeably slapped together, and the lady who I assumed it was either a manager, or someone who otherwise was able to get someone else to complete the order, yelled at us as we were driving away, "bye Felicia!" #Carl's Junior you should invest in wellness checks at your branches, you might find a need for change 😉

The beverage station was filthy and when looking past it the walls and ceiling were literally dripping with dark colors. This location was unsanitary and we left without ordering. You expect a certain level of service and food quality from a chain fast food place. They fell far below standards. Fries were cold and when I asked for new ones, it tasted like they just put them back in the fryer. It smelled like the grease was rancid. I just threw my food away. Yuck.

Went to get a charboiled chicken sandwich around 8:40pm and the food was inedible. The chicken might has well been a shoe from how tough it was. Definitely don't recommend going here, they should just close down and open something better to compete with in and out instead of this mediocre garbage.

I ordered the Super Nachos and it was really terrible. Dry, way too much onion and tomato chunks in a small blop of guacamole, beans were dry and not refried for sure. Too much cheese. Just aweful. I had to drive through again and get some packets of sauce to see if I could even tolerate it. I ended up throwing it in the trash. Waste of money for sure.

Terrible service. Both employees had a difficult time understanding our order of two bacon cheese burgers. One plain and one normal. Yet the plain burger we got nothing but bread and meat. Even though we were the only people eating inside, staff walked by us and ignored us waiting in line and had to wait even longer to get it fixed.

Very disappointed in the service my daughter and I received. And my family and I have been going here for years! Not only did it take 10 minutes to get our food, "Brandon" got our order wrong! Sarina came to his rescue but only made things worse with her very rude attitude. Jean tried to fix our order by only apologizing. Never will we go here again! Back to McDonald's here we come! It's right across the street!

Horrible service. We on our way home from camping and we stopped to grab lunch. We dropped the back just feet from the parking lot and the bag ripped open and all our fries were dumped on the ground. We took the bag and fries and showed them, I think it was just too much food for 1 bag. The person helping us asked his manager in Spanish I believe he asked if he should charge us, the manager said yes. No if and or butts about it. Just rude

Horrible service. Went on the night of Sep 8 anywhere from 7:30 pm to 8pm and had a chubbier lady with glasses help me out. Food was poorly handled and the drink holder she put the drinks on had a deliberate tear on the bottom of the slot that held the heaviest drink. Ended up spilling that drink on some very expensive mechanical equipment as it fell out of the torn cup holder. She was also super sluggish and looked possibly under the influence. Not signs of an at least decent place.

Went at 10:30, posted hours said they closed at 11. The creepy drive through recording welcomed me but when I tried to order no one was there. After about 5 minutes, I drove to the window and no one was there. The store appeared to be open otherwise. The employees appeared to be hanging out in the parking lot in their cars when I left.

After standing in line for almost 5 minutes, (no one else in front of me) while the manager and worker argued over who was going to fill the orders of the two other people waiting, I left. Figured it wasn't going to get any better. Mc D's across the parking lot handled us just fine.

Worst service ever. The worker that took our order needs an personality makeover. Didn't give a receipt. Didn't say thank you to us. We had to ask him for straws and we ordered milk shakes so of course we would need straws. All bad!!! It was Saturday May 26th 2018 @10pm.

It was one of the worst meals that I have ever experienced with CJs. The burger was cold with hard buns, fries were cold and soggy and drink was flat with no taste. Only had about two bites and threw the rest away. Last time there.

We got to thus location about 745 pm they where closed inside but driver thru was open till 9 . We ordered got to window waiting 20 min for someone to take our money . She was rude then waited another 15 min for our food. My husband got a chicken burrito chicken was extra crispy and awful thru ot out. I ordered a fish sandwich and tasted ok but made me sick 10 mi. LATER. WILL MAKE SURE TO NEVER GO THERE AGAIN.

I went to the drive thu for dinner. Poor guy was in there all alone. The order took forever, but upon giving him my mail dropped coupon, he undercharged me vastly. Gave me a $15 order for $2 bucks. I highly reccomend going to carls Jr for free /Discounted food. This business is on its way to bankruptcy. Serves them right, understaffing employees like that.

I waited in the drive up line for 10 minutes. I was late getting back to work. There was no apology, just excuses. If you don’t have enough employees to cover your store, at least give your customers a heads up so they can leave if they need to. Also, maybe some customer service training Is important.

Spent $8.91 on a single Western Bacon Cheeseburger extra Bbq sauce only to be served a burger that had to be 4 hours old if not older. Cold, dry bun, barely any sauce, burned, hard bacon and dried out plastic cheese! Absolutely disgusting. Shame on Santa Maria 8816 location for thinking this is acceptable.

I went there while driving to take a family member to their surgery check in. I stopped by. I ordered my food inside 35 minutes before diner closed. I noticed they didn't ask for here or to go? When I recieved my food I noticed it was bagged. I asked for a plate so I could eat inside. The manager stated... we are going to close the Diner so no. So, I ate at the table without a plate. I then saw a party of 10 people walk up to the door, the Hispanic manager held/shut the door telling them they need to go through the drive through. They all appeared younger. They got in their car and left. The Hispanic manager then locked the door. It was 20 minutes before closing the Diner.... I asked the cashier if he was the manager on site, she claimed yes he is the only one. I then ordered another set of food items. Reason being, I will be filing a double complaint with corporate. That manager in 20 seconds of his time lost all me and my families business. He also in 5 seconds with the large crowd lost easily a few hundred dollars worth of business from the crowd. This manager needs to instantly be terminated. This happened Sept 29th. If the franchise owner would like to reach out to me, I would be more than happy to lend a hand on additional details.

Worst Carl's Jr experience by far. I ordered 2 kids meals.. one chicken star one chicken strip. I had to repeat myself 4 times and she still ended up giving me 3 kids meals. 2 chicken strip kids meal is the name. I wasn't asking for two. And when the lady repeated it back you only mentioned 2 kids meals. So a large miscommunication on both of us. BUT I also asked for no Santa Fe sauce on my burger and you smothered the damn thing in it. Overall just not a great experience.

This has to be the absolute worst Carl’s Jr I’ve ever. When you come to the drive through, they don’t say hello, you have to say hello? Then they say, what do you want to order? Then after every item, what else do you want? They sound so miserable, as if someone is forcing them to work there. Terrible attitudes, terribly dirty inside, no one cares about the business, customers or their lives when you think about. If you hate your job so much, get another job! A better job, actually no, don’t you’d probably make that place unbearable for customers too. These employees are obviously the rejects that no one else will take, cuz they are sooooo bad at their job. I’ve worked at multiple fast food joints, it’s not that hard. Just close this place down already, it’s an ugly shadow of what Carls Jr used to be. Now they no longer carry zucchini?! That’s the one thing I came there for, literally one of the best things about Carls Jr and they got rid of it. I asked for our burgers to come right off the broiler instead of coming from the warmer and they looked at me like I was asking them to actually care about their job. There was no one in there and no one in line for the drive through so why couldn’t they just do it? Because the are lazy and they are being lead by a manager or owner who can give two craps about their customers and probably their employees too. My mother in law used to work at all the locations in town, and it was good back then! Now it’s sadly garbage, hot garbage fed to you by high school drop outs and disloyal morons who probably couldn’t tell you what the broiler is, and they work there! If you really want some, there is one in SLO, they are always nice, clean and attentive. Seriously, just close this place already. Oh, and the food?? Hamburgers falling apart due to too much condiments, cold, fries cold, soda needs to be replaced with new syrup containers, bathrooms need to be cleaned, floors need to be swept and mopped, trash taken out. They were literally sitting there and the whole place is a mess. JUST. CLOSE.

I waited in the drive up line for 10 minutes. I was late getting back to work. There was no apology, just excuses. If you don’t have enough employees to cover your store, at least give your customers a heads up so they can leave if they need to. Also, maybe some customer service training Is important.

Spent $8.91 on a single Western Bacon Cheeseburger extra Bbq sauce only to be served a burger that had to be 4 hours old if not older. Cold, dry bun, barely any sauce, burned, hard bacon and dried out plastic cheese! Absolutely disgusting. Shame on Santa Maria 8816 location for thinking this is acceptable.

Worst Carl's Jr experience by far. I ordered 2 kids meals.. one chicken star one chicken strip. I had to repeat myself 4 times and she still ended up giving me 3 kids meals. 2 chicken strip kids meal is the name. I wasn't asking for two. And when the lady repeated it back you only mentioned 2 kids meals. So a large miscommunication on both of us. BUT I also asked for no Santa Fe sauce on my burger and you smothered the damn thing in it. Overall just not a great experience.

I went there while driving to take a family member to their surgery check in. I stopped by. I ordered my food inside 35 minutes before diner closed. I noticed they didn't ask for here or to go? When I recieved my food I noticed it was bagged. I asked for a plate so I could eat inside. The manager stated... we are going to close the Diner so no. So, I ate at the table without a plate. I then saw a party of 10 people walk up to the door, the Hispanic manager held/shut the door telling them they need to go through the drive through. They all appeared younger. They got in their car and left. The Hispanic manager then locked the door. It was 20 minutes before closing the Diner.... I asked the cashier if he was the manager on site, she claimed yes he is the only one. I then ordered another set of food items. Reason being, I will be filing a double complaint with corporate. That manager in 20 seconds of his time lost all me and my families business. He also in 5 seconds with the large crowd lost easily a few hundred dollars worth of business from the crowd. This manager needs to instantly be terminated. This happened Sept 29th. If the franchise owner would like to reach out to me, I would be more than happy to lend a hand on additional details.

This has to be the absolute worst Carl’s Jr I’ve ever. When you come to the drive through, they don’t say hello, you have to say hello? Then they say, what do you want to order? Then after every item, what else do you want? They sound so miserable, as if someone is forcing them to work there. Terrible attitudes, terribly dirty inside, no one cares about the business, customers or their lives when you think about. If you hate your job so much, get another job! A better job, actually no, don’t you’d probably make that place unbearable for customers too. These employees are obviously the rejects that no one else will take, cuz they are sooooo bad at their job. I’ve worked at multiple fast food joints, it’s not that hard. Just close this place down already, it’s an ugly shadow of what Carls Jr used to be. Now they no longer carry zucchini?! That’s the one thing I came there for, literally one of the best things about Carls Jr and they got rid of it. I asked for our burgers to come right off the broiler instead of coming from the warmer and they looked at me like I was asking them to actually care about their job. There was no one in there and no one in line for the drive through so why couldn’t they just do it? Because the are lazy and they are being lead by a manager or owner who can give two craps about their customers and probably their employees too. My mother in law used to work at all the locations in town, and it was good back then! Now it’s sadly garbage, hot garbage fed to you by high school drop outs and disloyal morons who probably couldn’t tell you what the broiler is, and they work there! If you really want some, there is one in SLO, they are always nice, clean and attentive. Seriously, just close this place already. Oh, and the food?? Hamburgers falling apart due to too much condiments, cold, fries cold, soda needs to be replaced with new syrup containers, bathrooms need to be cleaned, floors need to be swept and mopped, trash taken out. They were literally sitting there and the whole place is a mess. JUST. CLOSE.

We got to thus location about 745 pm they where closed inside but driver thru was open till 9 . We ordered got to window waiting 20 min for someone to take our money . She was rude then waited another 15 min for our food. My husband got a chicken burrito chicken was extra crispy and awful thru ot out. I ordered a fish sandwich and tasted ok but made me sick 10 mi. LATER. WILL MAKE SURE TO NEVER GO THERE AGAIN.
