I would have to say this place has really turned around from what it was before. The workers look happier and now they joke with you when before they just looked miserable and their attitudes were just bad. The young lady who is running it now is overall just so inviting and actually cares about everyone even her customers. I went in yesterday and she made sure to ask her crew if they were ok then, she asked the guest if they were ok and if we needed anything. The smell before I couldn't stomach it so I would go through the drive thru but, now it smells clean. The restroom has soap in it but it was broken so the manager tried her best to fix it I don't know if she was able to but, at least she tried. My food came out delicious as well as the ice cream.
Cashier was very nice & helped us place our order. It was a good 1/2 way point to stop to grab a bite on our long trip home.
The tacos and buffalo tenders were so good ! Great staff ! Sweet lady came to the parking lot to bring us taco sauce ! Thank you to her 🩷
Never judge a book by its cover. My experience will not reflect everyone's. I was staying in the hotel next store and just finished working 2 days straight. I was tired and hungry. Decided to just walk over and grab a burger. I was not very impressed upon entering the restaurant. It has obviously had no updates since it was constructed years and years ago. The grill chef lowered his head down with a big smile and asked me how I was doing from the kitchen area. We had a small friendly banter and then he had someone come and take my order. I ordered a double cheeseburger with bacon and jalapenos. The drive through had 5 vehicles in line and it appeared that they only had 3 employees inside. I assumed it would be about 5-10 minutes. But the man on the grill came out in a flash and handed me my bag. I was not expecting anything amazing from dairy queen. They tend to have decent food compared to other fast food burger joints. However, I believe this was the best burger I've had from any Dairy Queen. Better than the last burger I had from Whataburger. It was fresh, juicy, stacked with vegetables, bun was toasted, and the jalapenos grilled. I was honestly blown away. It was more like I got a burger from a little mom and pop burger bistro or something.
The 2.9 stars rating seemed unfair to me. They were nice, quick, and the food was fresh and hot. The building was clean and orderly. I liked it.
They got the food in a snap and there was a lot of people in front of me they got there food in a flash the man at the window was so nice and smiling my blizzard was so good and creamy my fry’s were hot and delicious going to come here more often.
First let me say the only reason I'm giving it 4 instead of 5 is because the weight is actually seriously long 90% of the time. Reason, because it's made when you order it you're not getting something that's been sitting there like you are at most fast food restaurantsso far I've had no complaints with my orders everything's accurate and everything has tasted great the blizzards are great it's all been great they might just need a bigger staff or bigger location so that they have more area to prepare.
The workers here are great people. They get your food out as fast they can and if there happens to be an issue you aren't stuck there just waiting.. they let you know what's up. They always smile and the cashier is always helpful. She has such an uppity attitude you can't help but smile back. This is a great location.
Maybe it was because I was just hungry but I loved my hunger buster. Best one I have had in awhile
Place needs to be closed and updated it's in bad shape staff most are good need to relearn that a malt is thicker than a milkshake they make them the same
I read all of the reviews while getting gas next door, but I was pleasantly surprised when I ordered. I was helped at the drive thru quickly, and my food, blizzard, and drinks all came out in a snap. The staff were very friendly! I greeted the staff with a smile, and they did the same right back.
Me and the family stopped for lunch. We were a bit skeptical walking in but the staff was very inviting and friendly. Service was great, food was hot and fresh! Thanks for a good experience!
I've been going to this DQ after not going for several years. It has been good and just had a little smell on that day. It was pretty clean.
Took an eternity to get our meals then got the order wrong. They did fix the order and made 2 new burgers which took an additional 15 minutes. They kindly told us to keep the original burgers. Happy dogs tonight
2.50 for a cup of water. Tables could be cleaner. I guess taco Tuesday is over.
Food was pretty standard DQ fair. I had some tacos and jalitos. The restaurant is in some disrepair and definitely needs a thorough scrubbing. The washroom is tolerable at best but really closer to gross. If there is any pride in ownership it's hard to find.
Love Dairy Queen but stay away from this store. Our order was was missing things like the cheese and bacon. Wife subbed onion rings and still received fries. Black flakes were coming out with the ice from the ice machine. Ordered a shake and got it blizzard style.
Walking in I felt dirty.. the floor was filthy. No soap in the bathroom and honestly behind the counter didn't seem to clean either. Sodas were out or nasty and there was no ice. I'm not one to complain but this DQ location needs to get their act together.
The staff are nice and friendly but the store itself was filthy and the food tasted absolutely terrible, fish tasted liked fried mush, fries were rubber. The Texas toast was okay and that's about it. If you come here it better be for ice cream only.
Order was wrong so I went to the clerk to tell her and she told me I needed my receipt which she had already taken and then walked away. I went to the register and waited through another line of customers and then when my turn came, she walked away. I finally demanded her attention and she went to the cook to get my correct order and brought it back incomplete. She has no business working with customers. The ice machine was pouring over in the floor so they put up a wet floor sign and left it there with water all over the place. Someone is going to sue this place, bet on it.
3 YEARS AGO,, Came in for the Blizzard meal. Burger was great, but could have be informed by employees that they were out of tomatoes and onions. Onions make the burger. If I had know would have gotten a country basket. Staff was real friendly.
Ordered two large tropical blizzards and they only contained 1/5 of the banana, pecan mix. They forgot the coconut. The rest of the cup was just filled with soft serve ice cream. I won't be returning to this location.
Management is obviously very poor here, staff needs to be overhauled at this location, I’ve never felt awkward to order at a fast food chain before plus I’ve ordered here twice and both time I was given the wrong order not to mention the long wait when hardly anyone in line
Very slow service. Took almost 15 minutes to get our order. Loud hip hop music playing over dining room speakers. They didn't give us napkins and we had to go back to the counter to request some. They didn't give us catsup for our fries. Went to the counter to ask for some. They said they would bring some to us they never did. On a positive note the food was very good.
I have been sitting at the drive thru intercom for nearly 20 mins after she said hold on so far 3 cars behind me has left I have asked 4 times if I can drove to window ordered a shake and was rudely told they do not have any milk. Other times they are slow and food is good
Drive thru only. No dine in at the time I went they said they are short staffed. I was always under the assumption we the customers were supposed clean up after ourselves? I guess they are too short of staff to wipe the tables. 2 stars because my burger was good but 3 taken away because after I was done eating in the parking lot they started letting people in.
The cashiers are really great workers. The managers are nice. The cooks either can't read or don't care because if I get anything other than a chicken strip combo or steak finger combo, my order is ALWAYS wrong. And when I go back to get my order fixed, I get evil glares until I leave with my order fixed. Unless something us changed, I am never coming to this location again. I will not be recommending it to anyone either.
This place is filthy mess. Most of the tables are dirty. Chairs sticking out, not pushed in. Garbage on floor. Employees at the counter only take orders, obviously they don't clean in between customers. Rather, they lean on the counter. Dirty windows with old fingerprints. Vagrant lying outside of door. Girl working behind counter with her hair down. Won't be back.
My family & I were passing through your town and were excited to see a DQ. However, when we walked inside, I was pretty shocked at how dirty everything was?! There was massive dirt on the floor, trash, splattered Ketchup packets, etc. Even behind the counter, there was so much trash on the floor and the employees walked through it repeatedly without ever noticing?! The trash can was full and running over onto the floor. Tables were dirty & had trash on them? Then there was the ketchup? Apparently, you guys water it down to save money, but my bottle was so runny that it was disgusting! Honestly, For the extremely high prices that your business charges us for food, I could have eaten at Olive Garden. (On a side note, I absolutely L❤️VED your HUGE Texas Flag on the ceiling...
It took forever to order and we had to wait for food at least 10 minutes. When we did get our food the lady didn’t even say thank you. We got fries instead of onion rings, we had to wait another 5 minutes to get onion rings. When we FINALLY got the onion rings they were undercooked, the burger tasted dry, and they packed sauces in the worst container possible. The sauce container was cracked and leaking out the sauce.
Dairy Queen – Big Springs, TX Stopped here for a quick bite while passing through on Easter weekend, and honestly, I wish we hadn’t. The food was barely edible—everything tasted like it had been fried in old, rancid oil. Couldn’t even finish my meal. The only saving grace was the staff—super sweet and attentive, which is the only reason this gets 2 stars instead of 1.
We had never eaten at a DQ before, so we thought we'd give it a try. I don't know if it is just this particular location that is horrible, but the burgers had been sitting for quite awhile and were cold.
Probably the absolute worst Dairy Queen I have ever been to. Everything is filthy, you can see employees in the kitchen wiping their nose with the hand and it took 30 mins to get our order. I give this place 1 star because 0 star wasn't an option. Didn't even eat our food because I was so grossed out.
Pulled up to the drive thru menu so that the kids in my vehicle could choose what kind of blizzard they wanted. Asked for a few seconds to decide. Once they had decided (maybe 45 seconds) I let the lady know over the speaker we were ready and she proceeded to yell at us. Not once were any of us in the vehicle rude or unkind. I'll take my money elsewhere.
Service sucked. Repeated our order, still got it wrong. When they brought out the order, they just placed the tray with 3 orders on the table. We ended up mixing up the sandwiches. Oh, and the order was incomplete. BTW, there was only one other customer there.
They took 15 minutes to us in the drive thru, it took another 10 minutes to get through ordering, even after we repeated it 12 times. Then they still got our order wrong 3 times, then forgot the drinks, and then the sauce for our chicken. The tea tasted like it was made in an ash tray and the food was meh, even for fast food. Keep driving, there's another DQ about 10 miles down the road.
Sat in the drive thru for 20 minutes! Called the store, asked why it was taking so long, the manager says "hold on", gets our order and practically throws it in our vehicle! 20 minute wait I was expecting some HOT food, but NO, it was all cold and old! Y'all need to get it together!! My meal was practically just sitting there for God knows how long!! Very, very DISAPPOINTING!!
8:55 on 2/28/20 called the phone to place order busy signal several times. Then went to store waited in line at ordering station drive through, .......and finally a voice says pull to the window to take your order. I ask why he is not taking orders at the ordering station said his head set can't hear good ok I ask why phone off the hook said they been slammed. I said ok! Well he said you get fresh fries I said thanks... Awesome job DQ worst service ever plus the other 10 cars in line waiting to hear a voice will experience the same thing.
Need a better GM to run the store. An employee needed help with credit card machine and she went to ask for help. The GM couldnt help because she was to busy making the employee schedule. I understand being a GM u feel u dont have to do anything, but if u have a line going all the way to stripes.. Then the GM needs to come help them. Service is really slow. She never apologized to me about taking too long.
Edit: I originally came here around 2015 and this was arguably the worst Dairy Queen I've ever been to. Looking at the reviews now suggests this place hasn't changed at all since, and based on seeing these reviews, DO NOT STOP HERE! Original: I do not know why this place is still open, it should be closed down by the Health Department or somebody for the terrible conditions here! Bad service, the restrooms are unsanitary with no toilet paper, no paper towels or even soap (which by itself suggests the employees can't and don't even wash their hands either!) Rude and disrespectful staff that ignores their customers, they didn't even bother to go to the counter to take my order after waiting for 5 minutes and they also seem to not clean the tables, floors or anything for that matter! If you are heading east on I-20, might as well go to the Dairy Queen in Coahoma which isn't far ahead and try your luck there, probably not the best but far better than here any day! DO NOT go to this place, you will be wasting your time.
I’m not sure what the food or service I s like. No one acknowledged I was even at the front counter. Several employees walked back and forth but no one said anything to me. It was 2:00 PM and I hoped to avoid the lunch crowd. I just needed a quick bite and back to work. They could’ve even said “sorry we’re so busy we don’t care about you”,,, but I didn’t even get that. So I went across the street to McAllisters. You know there were 5 of us in line and we all got taken care of. Since DQ is so busy I guess they do without my business.
Very Bad service, stood at counter for 5 minutes with 5 employees in sight, not busy at all, no one even said welcome or we'll be with you shortly. This was at 1 pm prime time. Bathrooms dirty, no clean tables even though multiple employees standing around doing nothing, no one would bus the tables. People were rude. NOT a typical Dairy Queen!
Worst DQ ever? Yea so far. Drive thru designed so that only 1-2 vehicles can order and then the line goes into the road. Waited 20 minutes to move forward enough to order before deciding to just leave because you might as well go sit down at a restaurant if you're going to wait that long
Always a ridiculously long wait the few times I've stopped here despite there only being only one or two cars ahead of me at most. When you're sitting in the drive-thru for 10 minutes just to be able to order, then another 15 to get your order, there's obviously something wrong. I won't be stopping at this dq on my drives through town anymore.
Ordered our food to go because the dining room was filthy. Ice/ drink machine was leaking water and it was everywhere. No customer service at all. Everyone looked like they could careless if they were there or not. It's sad being that close to hotels and I-20. Managers need to step up and take some responsibility. Had to pull out of the drive through and park at a yellow pole so that they could give three others people in line behind me their orders first. After 15 min they finally bring out my order just for it to be wrong. Went inside to correct the order and they were extremely rude and claimed they had given us two bags of food when we only had one. So horrible service, messed up orders, and missing food. Never coming here again.
Food was ok. Service was terrible. They spent more time making inappropriate jokes with each other rather than taking care of their customers. I had to tell them my order four times for them to understand what I wanted, and then was greeted with a "my bad". Maybe I walked in on a bad day, but I didn't feel like the customer was priority in this visit.
This DQ needs management and or GM to step up their game. Opens at 11 but does not open lobby until 11:10. Grill isn't turned on so all customers have have to wait longer for it to heat up. Lobby soda machines are not ready for use. Still soaking in bleach water from night crew. Phone ring constantly they do not answer because it is static. When we walked in one of the cooks said what the He**. As if he didn't know his job started at 11. And the ice cream machine is not working either.This is sad, DQ has really started going down hill.
When arrived, we ordered & when the order was transferred to the cook the cashier automatically said “this is a complicated order they want toasted buns on their burgers & the fries make them chillichese fries”. To me there is nothing complicated on that. After that they delivered our order and ate but almost done on our meal we got so disgusted we just left. The cashier was in need to use the men’s restroom and I’m guessing there was a bad stink inside, and he goes and gets a chair and leaves the men’s restroom’s door open, right in front of all the clients eating. We were ganna order ice cream but decided to just leave after this
Worst hamburger ever. Bone dry, dirty grill taste. Burnt reheaded French fries. Place was dirty. None of the employees had a uniform, just dirty casual clothes. Looked very unkempt and dirty.
Service was terrible. Ice cream was melted when served, saw them drop a blizzard on the floor and still serve it at the drive thru. Waited over 20 minutes for chicken strips which they tried to serve to someone that arrived after us. Then she tried to give that man's order to us (double what we ordered). The restrooms were nasty. Men's toilet had to be flushed by reaching in the tank. Not sure how this restaurant passed health codes. Customer service sucked! Other customers were upset as well.
Sat at the drive thru window for over 10 minutes after honking 3 times while being ignored by 2 different workers, finally a boy asked do we need help... and as we proceed to order ice cream he says it's off they don't have none they turn it off at 9:45 pm but we just watched him take a ice cream cone out to his friend in the parking lot and I was at the window at 9:40 pm but was ignored for 10 minutes so now it's 9:50 pm and they don't have ice cream now. I said we'll your open til 10 pm so your ice cream should be up and running til 10 pm they said call my boss then and shut the window. Do better Big Spring DQ!!!!
It took over 30 minutes to get our food and even then, they put jalapeños in our nachos and we were missing 2 items. We were finished with our burgers before we even got them. They don’t have soap in the bathrooms and yeah, just don’t go to this DQ. We should have gone to McAlisters across the street.
This was the worst experience ever. Waited 20 minutes at the window after ordering. They tell me they don’t have graham crackers for my blizzard. Ok canceled the blizzard. Another 15 minutes and they decide o we don’t have brownies either…. It took you that long to decide? Canceled half the order and left. The couple people that got their ice cream were finished by the time they finally told us they didn’t have brownies. About right for Texas DQ. They are all terrible but this one takes the cake.
If there was an option to put no stars I so would! I came to this location tonight. I was asked to park and they would bring my food. I said okay, parked, and waited. My order was taken at 7:40. I noticed that they were handing other people their food. I was like okay well maybe they ordered something simple.. Fine. As I am waiting I notice ALL the staff are on their phones, not caring about doing their job! One employee came out with a big order and when they asked if this was mine I had told them no and the truck parked next to had just barely pulled up and they had their large order ready at this point it's already 8:05. I gave my receipt to one of the employees to check on my order. She took it inside and then I saw her leave. I sit there it's not 8:10 I finally called and one of the kids finally answered the phone (again I can see them from my car, they hear the phone ringing but can't even get off their phones to answer my call) FINALLY someone answered. I asked to speak to their manager and he responds "oh she is not here right now" I tell him all this 👆 again! He tells someone in the kitchen they need this order and I hear a female saying that she has been calling out this order so my food has been sitting there getting COLD while all these little kids are too busy on their phone. So not happy with this place!
Workers are horrible, passing through and stopped to eat at 5pm on a Monday....came inside to order and over heard the worker complaining that someone was getting there food to eat inside....so my wife asked if there about to close and the lady responded with well we are shorthanded (we could see 2 employees at least) so I am going to close the lobby, granted we are the only ones inside the lobby and the drive thru had one car in it...we finally receive our food and the worker walks to the front door while a potential customer is driving up to the drive thru and she loudly says no please don't stop here......consider hiring some employees with better work ethics as we pulled up the reviews after leaving and completely agree with the majority of them
It was 9pm today and girl at the drive thru widow , would ignore me and not take my order. She needs to be fired and replaced with new staff , we don't need lazy, rude, personal like that.
I’ve tried to give this location the benefit of the doubt too many times now!! Literally the worst customer service and be prepared to be in the drive thru for at least 45 minutes if there’s even just one car ! I guess the owner just doesn’t care anymore today was the last time I will ever order here anymore save yourself the frustration and get something else trust me
2 times this week, NOBODY answers the drive up, and when they do, they're usually rude. This has to be the poorest managed DQ in Texas. This place could REALLY use a remodel... food is decent. Now July 2024.. new speaker.. but they still don't answer it.. myself and 3 other cars left because they WILL NOT answer the drive thru. There were only about 5 customers inside. I really don't think they WANT customers.. should just shut this DQ down.
Want to give 0 stars. The staff was unfriendly. Waited 25 mins for our order. We ordered a beef taco salad and got a half portion and tasted badly, which cost us $7.99. You get a half hand portion of lettuce topped with meat and cheese in a tortilla bowl that would hold another 2 portions more of food and lettuce. Definitely not worth it. The ice machine was making loud noises. Not recommend this restaurant especially if you want to dine in. You'll hear nothing but the noise from the ice machine.
Restaurant is old and decrepit looking. Was not clean at all even though there were several employees just kinda wondering around doing nothing.
This place is terrible. Busted speaker and she couldnt hear so she made us turn our car off to order. Its like 180 degrees outside and we had to cut out car off to order food. We had to repeat ourself 30 million times and I hate people that keep saying " anything else" every 60 seconds. Like bruh let people talk and finish their order and tell you when they are finished. Waited 10 minutes and drove off with no food because clearly only 1 person works there.
By far the worst DQ i have ever been in restrooms were so filthy and disgusting. The Hawaiian blizzard was literally milk and peanuts and pineapple! Do not recommend this DQ to anyone .
Maybe stop reheating your gravy & make fresh gravy for orders so it stops always coming out like water. It’s disgusting. Go to the Dairy Queen in Coahoma it’s better quality food than this. Update! I can’t seem to ever get what I ordered. Even ordering online. I hate Door Dash uses the interstate DQ. They are awful. Paying almost $80 & I don’t get all my food, again.
Don't stop and waste your time. I ordered the #1. My sweet tea was sour, burger was barely warm, and I paid for onion rings but received fries. It would've been ok except for the fries being old and soggy. I would've gone back to get my order fixed but the service was slow and the line was still long.
This Dairy Queen in Big Spring is just horrific. I ordered a couple of blizzards, and we sat down to wait because Dairy Queen is usually fairly slow for “fast food.” And did I mention the smell? It smelled like a team of football players with athletes foot came here after they practiced for 3 hours on turf. And I waited and waited for my ice cream, and it was 20 minutes for 3 blizzards, and they people behind us got a whole family meal before we got our ice cream so I had enough and walked up there and demanded my blizzards, and they were like “Oh sorry we forgot.” I was so mad and waited to get my blizzard and it was just mediocre. I waited for 30 minutes for a mediocre ice cream. Do yourself a favor, and NEVER come here
Love dairy queen ice cream but got to the store and There were only 3 cars ahead of me in the drive through line and maybe a hand full of vehicles in the parking lot dining in. It took 30 minutes to get to the window, which I was fine with because I understand when it can get short staffed. But when I got our ice cream it was basically milk. I ordered a sundae and honestly if I had wanted chocolate milk I would have just stayed home. Very disappointed with my experience at this dq.
Experience I just had does not deserve a 1 star rating. * lobby was dirty *trash cans full *beverage area floor was wet with no signs of wet floor **** it took over 30 minutes to get my order right and to finish it all they did not have enough ingredients to make my blizzard and did not tell me unti l after my food was served wrong... whoever owns this store should take more pride on what dairy Queen stands for because it is not at all what they're serving.
This store needs proper management. Waited at the window 45 minutes no one came on drive to the window thinking the mic isn’t working and waited 30 minutes they took my order being rude as hell. No one even wearing head gear to take orders once they took my order they said it’s gonna be 30 more minutes to move up. Moved up waited 45 minutes had to go inside and they lost my ticket . The manager wear pj’s one of the cooks was in normal tshirt . This place is ridiculous. My fries are old and hard . No I’m sorry or can I compensate you with a free drink nothing just horrible service . Corporate better come do something about this.
They are always having issues at the drive thru it's either nobody wants to take your order or the speaker doesn't work and it's always both and it's frustrating but nobody likes to wait and wait until someone finally not8ces u been sitting for over 15 minutes bur really it's been almost a month the the speaker still is yet to get fixed then they wonder why they lost a lot of business
Worst place I’ve been to in a while. The service is atrocious, nobody will acknowledge you. The food takes forever and when you finally get the food the order is wrong and have to wait even longer. The floor looks it hasn’t been swept or mopped since the 1970s. The bathrooms are gross. This place needs to have some serious work done to be a functioning place of business. Also, if your cooks are going to curse loudly, drown it out with some music or something. Will never return to this establishment.
If I could give this place a 0 star, I would. We usually drive to Coahoma (because of previous horrible experience at Big Spring location), but their ice cream machine was broke, so we decided to give Big Spring another shot. Well, that was a bad choice - the order board was broken (there was a sign stating so), so we pulled up to the window to order. The employee(s) yelled at us through the shut window (which we couldn't understand what was said) and then just ignored us instead of opening the window and communicating like grown adults and a respectful establishment. They don't close til 10pm so I'm not sure what the issue was. We waited for a bit, thinking maybe they were just busy, but nope. They were standing around talking, and an employee (thinking she was the manager) looked directly at us and then just kept ignoring, so we took our business elsewhere. Do yourself a favor and go to Coahoma or even Sonic if needed, but don't waste your time at this location.
If I could give this establishment 0 stars I would. It took us almost an hour to get ice cream. There were only 3 tables in the restaurant and three employees. The employees were too busy playing around and taking selfies. When asked why it was taking so long the response was we forgot. Do you think they offered a refund or to make it right....nope!! Looking at the previous reviews it's not shocking. They will politely respond to your review, but dont seem to be too concerned, If they were then would have corrected the issues already.
We waited at the order box for 5 minutes because we were told " it'll be a minute" and thought they were busy. 3 cars behind us, husband parked and went inside to order our blizzards. Took 10 minutes. Those other cars were STILL in line. They saw husband go in, then come out, and they STILL had not been waited on. They drove off. Husband said there were 2 ladies at the grill, and a girl at the counter taking the orders. There were 7 people inside, 4 had food. The man told the girl at counter " you have a customer." She took her time coming to the counter to take husband's order, and the man that was standing there left. Not busy, and not taking drive thru orders. Guess she and the other two don't like having a job, because I witnessed 6 cars drive off. 3 behind us, and then other the that drove up and waited when others drove off. By the reviews on this location, Management obviously does not care, and didn't value their job either. Will NOT be coming back.
Wait it for the place to open up, Crew was running late, no problem A ordered a Steakfinger basket extra gravy with a sweet tea. We're told they do not have sweet tea since I just opened up. OK, no problem Gladly would have waited for the tea but they didn't even offer we Waited just about 20 minutes for order " Mind you We were the first to order no other customers insight. Meanwhile, from in side the kitchen area the manager I'm guessing, yells out oh yeah And we don't Gravy Haven't made it yet. They might have mentioned that from the gate go also I asked for a refund The young lady up was apologyric, However, not one word from the manager., Other than do you want Barbecue sauce or ranch instead. It's sad the I'm professional and ungrateful. attitude that this place has had for a very long time. Somebody, somewhere must not care about their store. And their business. How sad
Horrible service!! Run the other way. If you want food forget it. Lazy people working here. Ordered tacos sat down and waited. They never came we went to ck on our order and they said they didn't have any tacos. Took our money and didn't make an effort to tell us anything. If you want ice cream they seem to be able to do that. So sad 😔
Went to get ice cream and no one would even take our order. Pulled up to the window to see if anyone would help us. There was a black lady just bent over the counter looked at us and looked away then a Mexican came looked at us and walked away. Not one of them even have a headset to even take drive-thru orders. Do yourself a favor and don't go to the dairy queen in big spring go to coahoma or literally anywhere else.
Whoever runs this store should hang it up! You have no idea what customer service is. Every time we go here, it takes forever. This is the worst DQ in the entire state of TX. Y'all are an embarrassment to the franchise! I really hope someone will buy this store and make some big changes. Until that happens, do not go here unless you have lots of time or the patience of an oyster.
This place is dirty, cook coughing right in front of the grill without covering his mouth, ignored me for 10 minutes at the register, forgot part of my order. The gal I told that I was still waiting for my ice cream said she would do it and helped another person who got there after me. She helped them and forgot again, had to tell another person that I just wanted my ice cream. As he was going to finish my order, I was told there was no more of what I wanted 😒 They had about 6 people working and 1 customer was there before me. Beware!
Very slow service, drive thru speaker appeared busted so the worker couldn’t hear us even after repeating and speaking clearly. Once we finally got to the window the worker was on a very obvious personal phone call, and made us sit there for 2 minutes while she finished. We had to order at the window, and waited 10 minutes for 1 blizzard. Blizzard ended up being melted and had no lid. Good thing we aren’t local.
Every single time we come to the drive thru is wait at least 30 minutes to get someone asking for the order and another 20 to 25 minutes to get the order and that is when there is no cars in front of us and barely people inside, they always in a bad mood. I’m done with this place.
Be prepared to for their outdoor sign light to be turned off before closing. Be prepared for them to tell you that they have no ice cream and the kitchen is closed. I don't understand the concept of staying open, but not serving the customers. If you won't serve the customers, just close the store. If you close at 10pm, at 9:45pm you should still be serving. I don't recommend and I won't be back!
This store definitely lacks in the management department. Wait over 10 minutes to receive our order of 2blizzards. We were order 41 and they were serving order 58 when we asked where ours was. Not a well managed store and very dirty as well. Corporate needs to send in someone to properly train the managers on how to run the store more effectively.
Bathrooms was absolutely filthy went through the drive-through then it had to wait close to 30 minutes for our food. My kids got a cheeseburger and a blizzard. The blizzard came out first they had their blizzards gone before the cheeseburgers ever came out absolutely horrible.
How do you actually serve someone a blizzard and not put anything in the ice cream. I mean seriously, not even one piece of Heath in it, and I ordered it with extra!!! 9$ for a dr pepper and plain ice cream!!! Do better DQ! No wonder your a 2.9 star, keep it up with that service and you will be down to 1 star in no time. Sat in line for 25 minutes with only 1 car in front of me.
Absolutely AWFUL. I have never left a bad review for a restaurant but this was so bad it warranted this review. I took my little boy and my daughter to this Dairy Queen for ice cream. My kids ordered blizzards and I asked for a hot brownie, hot fudge sundae with caramel and chocolate sauce. I was given a blob of ice cream with chocolate sauce and caramel. I took it back and asked for a hot brownie, hot fudge sundae. The guy said, "do you still want caramel?" And I said yes and he rolled his eyes at me. They then gave me ice cream with a half frozen brownie. The workers were pretty rude so I didn't take it back, I just threw it away. Just fyi, do not go to this Dairy Queen for ice cream. Sonic is way better.
Food is undercooked, atmosphere smells of doom and gloom. Order was not right , burgers taste like regurgitate crap, place is absolutely filthy. Steak finger basket undercooked, French fries are as soggy as wet socks. Do not come here, the whole place is just bad.... zero stars
I guess they have their favorites of who sits in the lobby it’s approximately 8pm on Jan 6th 2021 Store hours changed to 11 use to open at 10, this place use to be ran by 4 individuals with the doors open it’s sad how things have gone down Anyone who comes here and they’re being told at night they’re out of meat, gravy or whatever the thing is if Lily is working this place she’s one main worker who doesn’t want to go the extra mile to make the food for the customers. I’ve came here a few times while sitting at the window watching everyone fiddle with their phones, laughing while orders sitting on the counter waiting to be served to the customers/they wonder why orders are served cold to the customers. I had went in to dq never had an issue like this I ordered a cinnamon roll blizzard to go when I noticed after I payed the lady white female with glasses who has her hair cut underneath wasn’t wearing gloves when she decided to grab cinnamon from the container. This happened 12/28/2022 @12/45pm. A report to corporate has been made. The proper way to handle anything going from register to handling any kind of food is wash your hands for 20 secs.
Horrible customer service. Food is horrible. You're only allowed 3 ketchup packets. Asked for honey mustard received ranch that I also had to pay for. Attaching a picture of my"salad" I found 2 tomatoes and 5 pieces of chicken and all lettuce. This place is horrible. Save your money and go somewhere what.
I visited Dairy Queen on 02/22/2026 around 7:30 PM with my grandparents. We all ordered crispy chicken salads, something we used to order often years ago and now go to DQ every now and then I’ve never had a problem at other locations. When we received our food, the salads were served in taco shells, which immediately seemed incorrect. I politely told the employee who handed us the food (I believe her name was Ana, though I’m not 100% sure) that our order might be wrong and explained that I had never received a chicken salad like this before. She told me it was the “new version” of the chicken salad and walked away. As I continued eating, I noticed beans at the bottom, which made no sense. After looking it up later, I confirmed this is not a new version of a chicken salad. It felt like she simply didn’t want to correct the order. I then checked my grandfather’s salad and realized his didn’t even have chicken it had ground beef instead. My grandmother asked to speak to a manager, but we were told there was no manager on site, only a shift lead, and that she couldn’t issue a refund. We were told we could wait until 10 PM when the manager would arrive to get a refund. During this time, the employee made a rude comment out loud along the lines of, “Now she wants a refund once it’s already in the garbage,” even though I had addressed the issue as soon as the food was handed to us. Other customers nearby were also having issues and witnessed her attitude. The employee continued going back and forth with me and was rude not only to us, but to other customers as well. Her behavior was extremely unprofessional and made the situation worse. We were unable to return at 10 PM because my grandparents were heading back to Houston. I called the store afterward, but no one answered. They took my phone number and said someone would contact me. To this day, I have never received a call back, a refund, or any follow-up. The issue was never resolved. This was by far the worst fast-food experience I’ve ever had. The customer service and lack of accountability were extremely disappointing. If I could give this location 0 stars, I would.
I stopped to get the famous mint crunchin cookie parfait and was told this specific store doesn’t make them. Disappointed, I noticed they do make parfaits but not the ones you want. The restroom looked really bad and there was no soap in the soap dispenser
Walked in after a day at work expecting to get my food how I ordered instead I got a nasty attitude from the old lady behind the cashier the 2 bigs guys in the back couldn’t fix a burger I ordered a bacon and cheese with no lettuce or tomatoe what I got was a double patty with a strip of bacon … no mayonnaise no mustard no onions NO CHEESE… took it back to get it fixed and they sent it back with a slice of cheese but no toppings
Staff is slightly rude. I asked if they had corn dogs at this location and she snickered and said we stopped selling those 7 years ago. Your location might have but not all DQ locations did. Tacos were good but fries were dry. Employees oversold stuff and didn’t listen when we said only the burger NOT the meal. Lastly, when we went to order ice cream-they made it ridiculously weird. They crammed and I mean crammed ice cream into the peanut buster parfait not allowing space for the toppings. I watched the older employee with glasses “teach” the younger two how to (ruin it basically) make it they used a spoon to push the ice cream into there as much as possible then dumped the toppings into the lid and put it on. When I opened it peanuts spilled everywhere. The hot fudge was burnt. The dilly bar was pulled from a deep freezer as cold as Antarctica. It was impossible to bite into and we had to wait 20 minutes for it to defrost. It actually was painful to my teeth to bite into. The menu to see the food was covered by the ice cream machine. There were no lids for the cups. All in all the franchise owner either doesn’t care or doesn’t try. There are much better locations for DQ’s. This definitely isn’t one of them and this come from the owner or management training.
Ice machine for the fountain drinks was empty. Floor was dirty with french fries and paper everywhere. Person taking orders was not responsive when questions were ask. The womens toilet was stopped up and was not placed out of order. Ice cream machine was also broken. This was without a doubt the worst Dairy Queen we've ever been to in any state.
No wonder this place has a low rating its like every person working here does not want to be here. I stood at the counter for 5 min while staff did not even say 'Hello, I'll be right with you". Oh no the girl at the drive through just stared my way and acted busy. The guy that was supposedly taking care of the counter just ignored me until he had to take my order. Service here sucks 😒, cook was fast but these front counter employees were slow. And ignored customers until they were done with what ever else they thought was priority. These guys stood there the same way and staff could care less. The guys walked out. Business Lost. Dame this blizzard was runny and the guy didn't even flip it. 😒 if I could give zero stars I would.
