I was just delighted with the food here. Inventive and delicious - they even managed to make whelk taste nice. Restroom is a little janky in a charming way. The outdoor seating is done well for a parklet. Paper napkins. Waitress was lovely. We did a long lunch and never felt rushed. Left feel extremely contented. Really can't hard on how well they're doing crudos enough. Blissful uni.
My first perfect meal of 2026! The restaurant is so intimate and welcoming I felt like I was dining in someone’s home. The food is to die for. If you’re not the most familiar with everything on the menu, here’s what we ordered: Started with the the crudo trio and bread which is a must for all the sauce. From the first bite of fish we realized we had really found an absolute gem. Steamed clams and prawns after that. Lobster gnocchi for dessert. We will be back the next time we have something to celebrate. Shout out to the amazing staff who are producing excellent food in a very limited space.
The gem that is Crudo e Nudo is a must visit! Located on Main Street in Santa Monica, you'd be forgiven to think this may be an overpriced tourist trap. But what you're really getting is a thoughtfully curated, responsibly sourced, and creative seafood based menu in a cozy and home-like environment with excellent and friendly service. We felt very welcomed from the moment we stepped in to the time we left. It was more akin to visiting friends than going out to a restaurant. The service was intimate and friendly without being overbearing. The suggestions were helpful and clearly reflected our preferences. While some of the dishes took longer than expected, overall we don't have any complaints with the extraordinary service. The ambience was cozy and special. The design isn't over the top and fanciful but rather modest, comfy, and intimate. Much like the name, it followed the theme of raw, naked, and unfiltered. Lastly, the food was amazing! They made each ingredient shine. From the tuna tartare toast to the lobster gnocchi, every dish was carefully curated and even the supporting ingredients (like the oil) were high quality and carefully curated to fit. The uni taco bites were to die for. Don't sleep on the secret menu caviar nachos either! Not a single dish disappointed us in any way; you're paying for quality. Overall, if you are looking for a cozy, sustainable sourced seafood meal with friendly atmosphere and staff, you can't go wrong with Crudo e Nudo. Easily 4.75 stars!
This was an outstanding dining experience. Crudo e Nudo change their menu constantly based on what has been freshly caught. That dedicated to sourcing food based on seasonality is evident in their fresh and flavorful dishes. Everything from the sauces, to the broths, to the quality and flavour of the fish, is truly remarkable. I literally polished off each of my plates. Even the shishito peppers blew me away! The server was also very attentive, and ensure a gluten free safe meal If you don’t mind a splurge (or being treated like me 😂), this is a definite, definite must in the area.
Found this quaint little place in Santa Monica when meeting up with friends traveling from Germany. The menu seems fluid, so don't count on dishes being the same. We had oysters, a couple of there Ceasar Goes Vegan salads. Don't recall the exact dressing recipe, but it had avocado in it which gave it a creamy texture. Also, had their grilled prawns. Nicely spiced with heads on and juicy. Last dish was their melon salad, an excellent dish with great flavor composition. Would definitely recommend. It is a "small plates" restaurant, so go prepared to order a lot of dishes, or go when not very hungry. Saw the tuna tartar toast and it looked amazing. Prices were reasonable.
Crudo e Nudo is truly a special place. One of my favorite restaurants in all of LA. I had the tasting menu for lunch and every single dish I received was spectacular. It was incredibly well priced. With the quality they are serving, they should be charging double. The chef lets the ingredients speak for themselves . You can tell that they use the highest quality fish and they do little to the seafood, but they know how to elevate each ingredients. The Kampachi and percebes really stood out to me. As well as the grilled prawns with the green melon. Truly unbelievable. Every single dish on the menu is 10 out of 10. You will not disappointed with a meal here, please treat yourself and go as soon as you can.
Had such an excellent dinner here yesterday. We ordered the Crudo trio sampler, two tuna toasts, and one garden vegetable mezze. Everything we ordered was excellent and so insanely fresh. The mezze had fun, uncommon vegetables and the tomato Crudo was such a unique and creative preparation !! Everything tasted fantastic and the ambiance outside is perfect for summer. The tuna on the tuna toasts melted in our mouths, so buttery. The sesame bread too was also so delicious.
Really great dining experience for fresh seafood. The crudo trio was amazing - the bluefin with grated tomato and basil was the star for us. We were so happy with every single dish that came out. No notes.
Delicious seafood. Great vibe and fantastic service. Really enjoyed our dinner. Honestly it was magical.
A fresh marketplace-esk spin on crudo and light bites. We saw this adorable little restaurant while out on a walk with friends and made it a point to come back for lunch. The patio was the perfect backdrop to the cool, savory fish dishes we tried. Since it all looked good, we ordered the chefs trio and the noodles. It was so fun taking in all the different flavors, each bite brining its own sea story. Even if you are not going in for a meal, I highly recommend stopping in to see what’s in the market and maybe pick up a bottle of wine or two! What a fun and refreshing experience on Main St! Xx, H
Crudo e Nudo is a Santa Monica gem. The focus is on super fresh crudos, but the cooked dishes are just as impressive. We especially loved the Venus Nachos, Squid Ink Crispy Rice, and the Miso Black Cod—creative, flavorful, and beautifully done. The Slovenian wine flight was a fun surprise, moving from crisp whites to funky orange wines and a bold red. Each pairing added something unique to the meal. The vibe is lively but not too loud. Tables are close enough to strike up a conversation, but spaced so you can enjoy your own night, too. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what they’re serving. If you’re into seafood, natural wines, or just want something a little different, definitely check this place out.
RUN don’t walk here - every dish was so fresh and creative - vegan caesar, white beans, spiny lobster gnocchi, oysters with passion fruit! this restaurant is a total treat - come if you want a quality and unique seafood dining experience! a neighborhood gem 🫶
If you’re looking for a cozy, laid-back spot with insanely fresh seafood, Crudo e Nudo in Santa Monica is a must-visit. The focus here is on sustainable, high-quality ingredients, and it shows. The oysters are incredibly fresh, the toro melts in your mouth, and the vegetable meze is light, flavorful, and perfect for sharing. Everything is simple but expertly prepared. It’s not the cheapest spot, but the quality makes it worth it. It’s become me and my husband's go-to weekend lunch date spot, and we can’t wait to go back!
Went here for our final meal of 2024. I’m writing this review late because my friends just went today after our recommendation and it reminded me to continue spreading the word about this restaurant. Whenever they have special occasion tasting menus goooo! It is such a cute and cozy spot that feels casual - but the food is far from that. It made me feel like I was in Paris. The wine is fantastic, the service was spectacular and the seafood is 20/10.

If you like intimate indoor dining with a smaller personable kitchen and staff creating exceptional seafood dishes, come here. (No wait because we arrived at 5pm on a Monday)

This spot is a spectacular neighborhood gem! We found you in an online review while traveling from NC. The food is so fresh and the flavors are innovative, delicious and so thoughtfully presented. Hope you continue to grow and reach new heights. The prawns, abalone and melon salad were out of this world. And the chocolate almond butter cups were a lovely suprise bonus bite.
It was not just a memorable meal, it was a memorable evening! Casual and cozy, with a very warm and accommodating staff, but the hostess/sommelier/waitress (I believe her name is Lena) really stood out and made us feel welcome and special - she was so cute and funny! The changing menu is on a chalkboard inside and Lena answered all of our questions. It is divided in half with raw dishes at the top and cooked dishes on the bottom. We did have an early reservation because one of our group had tickets for a concert, however, we had 2 1/2 hours of well-paced, shared and amazing dishes. We ordered the Crudo Trio - each table gets a surprise selection or you can order individual crudos. Don't forget the Juan Isaac sourdough bread which you must dip in the infused oils/marinades, each one of the trio is different, creative and heavenly. That was followed by roasted collars from a special type of rockfish, then gnocchi (fresh and handmade which we witnessed when walking through the kitchen to the restroom), with chanterelle mushrooms. The chocolate almond butter cups were also incredible. Best to make reservations - parking in the back along Nielson Way in pay-per-space lots. I can't wait to return to this lovely restaurant!
This experience was breathtaking. Each dish was prepared with attention and craftsmanship. We ordered most things, with the Kanpachi being the standout dish. The wine recommendation was excellent and the staff was super friendly and knowledgable.
Food is pretty, uni taco and tuna toast is tasty. The nachos were very salty. And the crudo trio was very salty as well. No one asking how was the food, and offering more water. We finished entire bottle of water!
Very nice discovery on Main Street. Let me start why only 4 stars and not 5. Simply service was slow, very slow… however I don’t want that to impede too much on the rest, as the waitress was extremely nice and we were in the middle of the afternoon in between 2 shifts. It also certainly means their fish is prepared and cut fresh, hence the wait. I’ll certainly go back and that might be an opportunity to review my note then in case we have a faster turn around. Let’s go to the food, great selection of raw fishes and seafood such the abalone or halibut. They do have a couple of vegetarian options such the mezze, the salad and the potatoes. However, if you come here, be ready to eat some fish. Or drink…The wine list is straight to the point and definitely nice to pair with your dishes.
Second time trying and the first time was better…. set out the patio ordered some tuna carpaccio was good and the Kampachi sashimi was good and the mackerel was absolutely delicious but the squid ink rice dish was mediocre and didn’t have a punch and it was pretty bland…..server forgot the tea and I had to go inside to ask her that she brought out a lukewarm tea… used to be super busy but now it’s pretty slow on a Sunday night, but I’ll give it a try again in the future… maybe it was just an off night?
It's casual fine dining. I kind of liked the concept of ordering at the counter and the hosts were super friendly. They were very knowledgeable about the food and the wine options that go best with their food. I will say that I was a little underwhelmed by the flavors. We essentially ordered all the raw dishes and we all unanimously agreed the oysters were the best dish. The fish was good but nothing stood out. But the overall dining experience was great and would still recommend going.

We specifically chose to spend our Valentine's dinner here because of it being lighter seafood fare, after triple checking on their website/socials/resy that they didn't have a prix fixe menu. We had a big picnic of sorts earlier in the day, so we wanted to spend the evening eating lighter dishes and enjoy more drinks. But guess what? We were locked into the $125 pp prix fixe once we arrived. And canceling then would've costed $30 deposit per person and nowhere else to go, so we stuck it through. We probably would've spent more a la carte by ordering more raw seafood and more drinks, instead of being locked into two big plates of veggies/salad and a rich creamy gnocchi. I overheard other tables questioning the same thing, so we weren't the only ones feeling slighted by the bait and switch. Not to mention the waitresses were not that friendly, especially when for every other table they had to tell diners to go back inside to check the drinks menu board. They were either not letting them know before seating or just expected people to know. It's funny because why not just post the menu online via QR code on each table? Cause people taking photos of the board themselves and then having to send it to their partners isn't going to get people off their phones during dinner either. It's totally fine and reasonable to do a prix fixe menu on special events, but it ought to be communicated to those who PAID to reserve a seat in advance.
