The kitchen is undergoing renovations as of November 22nd, 2023, leading to a very restricted menu. Outdoor seating is available and the WiFi functions well. Staff members are polite. Seating options are notably limited, so finding an empty seat might be challenging. Indoors, it's mostly sofas, not many tables to sit at. I tried their almond croissant, and it was alright, nothing exceptional. Overall, it's a decent spot to drop by, particularly if you're fine with the current limited menu and seating choices due to the ongoing renovations.
I haven’t had a coffee from here that I don’t like! I’m here once a week to pick up their house blend beans, which are freshly roasted and excellent for home espresso. I always get beans and a coffee. Pictured is the Yuzu Tonic, which is one of our favorites, and the Cosmic Cream Top with ube. Both excellent! Highly recommend!
The options here are top quality. Had an amazing latte with hazelnut, I think it was actually called the best hazelnut latte ever and it really actually was one of the best. Love when a coffee shop truly creates high quality delicious lattes that don’t taste bitter or worse, like warm milk. They hit the right flavors!
probably my favorite coffee shop in Santa Monica, very solid cappuccino, awesome mugs - all around great cafe - friendly baristas, nice place to sip your drink - indoor and outside seating. Side note: seems to be very popular among cyclists? (always spot some very cool road bikes when visiting) Not a fan of almond milk but have been told by friends that their homemade almond milk is quite nice.
I remember very well the first cup of Cappuccino I had at goodboybob. It was meticulous. That's the only way I can describe it. The Match stoneware cup has an intricate form, stout with rugged surface; it holds inside a delicious cappuccino, effortlessly smooth in look, texture and taste. To accompany this wonderful cappuccino, goodboybob has a relaxing lounge, brightened by big matte windows and animated by the interesting black and white collage on the central wall. Everything feels unique and pleasant. My subsequent visits mostly confirmed how I felt the first time. The atmosphere is friendly, relaxing and unassuming. The slightly obscure location gives the shop an extra layer of laid-backness. Coffee was always excellent, I've had a few different baristas and they are all good, if not great. In terms of food, goodboybob's signature chapatis wraps are freshly made with great flavors; but I am not a fan of its overpriced house-baked pastries (I had a cardamon twist for $6.5).
I love goodboybob’s so much!! We found this gem of a coffee shop a few years ago and loved coming here to work, for a Sunday coffee. The coffee is out of this world. And if you’re a matcha person the quality of the matcha they use is very high quality and smooth. In terms of food, the chapatis are to die for! Definitely get the hot sauce. Sadly we moved out of LA but every time we’re back we visit! And order the beans online :)
Wow! This place was amazing! Quite unassuming as it is tucked away in the corner of an office park parking lot, but it is a hidden gem! The Cloud 9 is one of the best drinks I've had in recent memory; it's a cold brew with this delicious salty-sweet butterscotch foam. It is the perfect balance when mixed together. Their June special Gold Coast chapati is everything you dream a breakfast burrito should be! Fluffy eggs, super flavorful potato beef hash, melty cheese, and they added this really nice zesty cliantro crema. Very excited to come back and try the rest of their menu!!!
Got a hot latte made with almond milk which they make in house. It was creamy and delicious. They have a variety of baked goods that I didn’t try but looked good. As well as a grab and go refrigerated section where you can get yogurt, overnight oats, burrito, etc. A couple tables a couch and restroom inside, and ample outdoor seating outside if you are travelling with a furry companion.
This place really is a hidden gem! Lovely interior, friendly hipster vibe, helpful baristas, delicious coffee. They have the most complicated yet flavorful avocado toast which runs our so early. I love the way they're being so clever and thoughtful in every little details, from the tea collection to the toast plate presentation. Highly recommend!
A very hidden cafe with a unique design that feels like a cozy retreat. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure your experience is enjoyable from start to finish. I was impressed by how quickly they took my order, and the coffee is simply pure and delicious. A perfect spot to unwind and savor a great cup.
Love this place! Their smoked salmon and smoke chicken salads were oh so good and so familiar until I realized I had them at Citizen and Culver City! This location is more relaxed and chill for breakfast or just coffee, and The Culver City location is great if you want outdoor rooftop seating or a variety of foods and desserts within the complex.
An all around great experience. If you are a lover of coffee without all the sweetness, this place will not let you down. My husband got a perfect flat white and I got the campfire cold foam iced coffee. It was hardly sweet at all, a perfect balance of coffee with a hint of creamy flavor. They have great bakery options and some delicious burritos to choose from. The candied jalapeno salsa is the star of the show. 🤩
Tucked away in an industrial building, Good Boy Bob is an unexpected coffee haven. They roast their own beans and the depth of flavor in their brews really shows. I love their little pastry case—always stocked with something buttery and flaky. The vibe is upscale without being pretentious, which is rare in Santa Monica. Definitely worth the hunt to find it
Their seasonal iced hazelnut latte was delicious. Nice, secluded vibe. However, parking is a little tricky. Apparently on the weekends the other businesses are closed so you can park in the lot (you just have to keep an eye on your car).
Some of the best coffee in LA in the most beautiful cups. Quiet area with lovely seating. Definitely a can’t miss when in the area!
The Icy Blue Iced Matcha is the best matcha I’ve had. I also love their breakfast burritos and hot sauce.
Top 5 breakfast burrito in Los Angeles! I asked multiple people which is their best one and every answer was the same — it’s hard to pick, they’re all so good. Coffee is damn good too. The beans are sourced and it’s all fresh. The flash cold brew I really enjoyed. Lastly the environment was great. Lots of seating both inside and outside. The sign said no dogs but there was at least one chilling inside on-leash.
A TRUE OASIS OF CARE AND ATTENTION Every visit feels special and intentional. The team clearly takes pride in their craft, ensuring every drink is perfect and every dish is flavorful and thoughtfully presented. This spot works for any pace — a quick stop on the go, a peaceful indoor corner, or a sunny outdoor table to catch up with a friend or have a thoughtful conversation. Every detail feels intentional: the carefully selected California wines, the perfectly framed coffee displays, the cozy yet sociable seating. The pastries are almost art pieces, while hearty morning meals are ready to take with you if you’re cycling through the city. Everything here reflects a sense of mindfulness and care. It’s rare to find a place that makes you feel this attended to in every aspect. Each visit leaves you thinking, appreciating the effort and thought poured into the experience.
Nice coffee shop. Food options are quite good as well. Highly recommend the croissant with eggs, cheese and avacado. Also enjoyed the “Rolex” - burrito with chickpeas. Matcha and cappuccinos are quite good as well.
One of the BEST coffee shops of all time!!! Amazing pastries and smooth espresso 🤤 A great place to reflect/work on the weekends or meet friends for a hang! GBB is just better than most!! A++
3/3 hidden coffee gem. I really enjoyed everything I got from this coffee shop. Delicious food, lattes and unsweetened cold tea. The space is lovely with indoor and outdoor seating. The service was fast even for the morning rush. I love their hot sauce that goes with the savory items (breakfast 🥐 and burritos). Yumlicious. Note to management find a way to bottle that hot sauce.
Pretty nice coffee shop in Santa Monica. It is located not on the main street, so it is pretty quiet there. The coffee is good. I always get the drip coffee medium roasted and it tastes great, it is flavorful with sour notes. It is cute inside and there is also pretty nice outdoor area with some tables. Staff is friendly. I have been on weekend and it was a bit busy, but they serve pretty fast. On weekdays it wasn’t that busy. It is a good place to hang out with your friends or study. I would love to come back and try other coffees and their food.
This was a great cafe! We were in LA on vacation and this place was highly rated in the Santa Monica region, so we figured we’d stop by! And it did not disappoint!. Coffee was delicious and it was probably one of the best vanilla lattes I have had! The Magma Mocca was spicy, but also really good! I could see that they put a lot of effort and time into making these coffees🥰 I also love that we were actually given mugs for our coffee and not just a paper cup like so many cafes have resorted to using (because of convenience) after Covid! That elevates the coffee experience for sure! The food was also very good! They make everything right there in the front so you can see what they are doing! I also asked to swap out the meat in my burrito for bacon and they were very accommodating! The staff was also very nice and they all had a nice vibe with each other which made the over all vibe and feel of the store very friendly and welcoming! Vibes (decor) inside was very nice and I think sitting here with a up of coffee and a book would be such a vibe😊the outside had pick nick tables and higher tables with bar chairs. All in all, when I come to LA again I will definitely stop by!
The espresso is delectable. This place is 5/5 stars but I've never tried the food. Photo attached is a cappuccino made by Tom (you are a true pro, Tom!!)
So happy I stumbled upon this place — spots with this kind of vibe and food selection are so rare in the US, and I’ve really missed them. The atmosphere is amazing, the coffee is delicious, and there’s a great variety of food and pastries. Plus, there are always some insanely beautiful cars parked outside — such a fun bonus! 10/10, absolutely love it!

Good coffee! I also love the packaging of the beans that they sell
A hidden gem, this place slaps. Really good espresso drinks and burritos were so good - perfect amount of just a little kick from the jalapeños in the December special burrito, little salt on the outside, great flavor. Typical prices for a coffee shop around here but it is actually worth the prices. Definitely coming back now that I know this place is here.
Long overdue review! A small spot in an alley. It’s to the left corner! Id had to wait for parking but it was only for a little bit. Their menu isn’t too big which I love! I ended up getting the nueskes chapati wrap which reminded me of a scallion pancake from Asia! But with hot sauce.. it’s so delicious! If you love hot sauces, you’ve got to try theirs! I live too far away, or I’d be there weekly! Highly recommended!

Burritos, coffee, ambiance, and service were excellent. Got the seasonal coffee drink - flash brew with vanilla cold foam and sea salt - a single origin cortado, zatar role, chocolate chip cookie, and the Gold Coast burrito. 10/10, no notes. The espresso was perfectly pulled and the minor figures oatmilk complemented the light flavor profile of the single origin espresso. The burritos are very fresh - they’re making the scrambled eggs and accouterments in front of you. The zataar role was spicy, umami, and flaky. The chocolate chip cookie was thin, chewy and crispy at the same time, and had flakey salt. Truly perfection. Everything was so good we forgot to take photos. Highly recommend this spot
Probably tied for my #1 coffee in all of LA. It is so good and has amazing flavor. The ambiance is also nice, I like to sit at the tables on the patio. The baristas are very kind and welcoming, and I’ve never had more than a minute wait to place my order. It’s tucked away through an alleyway. I can always find metered street parking, and just follow the signs for coffee. Highly recommend checking it out!
Holy freakin cow this is hands down the best breakfast burrito I have had in my 38 years. Totally worth the wait and the price. Thank you for making such delicious food! Your candied jalapeño sauce makes me giddy.

Wait. I haven’t written a review yet?! My actual go to cafe with passing through Santa Monica. Typically stop in on my way to work on Sundays. Fancy coffee, really good breakfast wraps, and nice selection of pastries. I enjoy the decor but never stay too long. Lol. Plenty of outdoor seating, wifi available.
Great vibey spot. Breakfast burrito down the street at Uppers Cafe is better, but this one is still solid. Candied yam matcha is amazing!
This place has a great atmosphere and delicious coffee! Food smells amazing, and I love the funky coffee wallpaper on the back wall. That being said, do not come here if you are in a hurry. The employees were very kind, but 20 minutes for a cup of coffee almost made me late. I will Definitely come back here when I have more time to hang out and enjoy.
Delicious drinks and yummy breakfast burritos, to be enjoyed in the indoor living room-esque seating area or outdoor high tables. Many people on their laptops here, they have fast WiFi so good for doing some work but not the most ergonomic seating. Parking is confusing, the lot was blocked by cones. I parked in the alley way — seemed okay? $27 for a burrito and two drinks + 15% tip 😳 Highly recommend the Gold Coast.

They have some amazing breakfast and pastry options. I loved the Black Forest ham sandwich I got. I was very underwhelmed by the $8 matcha.
Small coffee shop with limited spaces inside and open seating outdoor. Good customer service, but basic matcha latte didn’t match the price since it was tasteless and blank. Coffee shop is hidden in the back and hard to find parking.
You have to pay $7 to park and street parking is extremely hard to find, even on Monday morning. They are currently undergoing construction and are operating out of a van with the outdoor section open in the parking lot. I suppose they are continuing operations to get to-go business from nearby office workers. However, the construction was incredibly loud, as they kept the door wide open while someone was jackhammering the floors. If the coffee was exceptional, I wouldn’t have minded all the inconveniences, but it was incredibly standard and unimpressive. Unfortunately, I will not be returning.

Wandered in on a Saturday evening after seeing their signs on Broadway advertising wine. Turns out they don’t sell wine by the glass. Grabbed a beer instead. Turns out they don’t have beer glasses. Grabbed a plastic cup. Turns out they don’t have water either. The moment we sat down with our beer they informed us they were closing and we had to leave. I dumped my beer because what’s one to do unless you wanna drink in public or hop in your car with a clear plastic cup filled with a lukewarm hazy. Won’t be returning.
