The reviews I’ve skimmed so far aren’t doing this place justice. I usually don’t even like salad, but this place is so good, I crave it! I get the bowls... which are like salads but with warm grains added, but still mostly greens. So I get all the goodness of salad but I’m also full by the end, which is not easy to do with me! I feel happy for hours after eating here. Service is usually good. I had a girl with a name like maybe Newlop today? She was outstanding! I definitely got the best one there. I am so excited about this place. I never thought I’d crave salad! (I think the menu here is out of date. They have some regulars and also a seasonal selection that is delicious and inspiring.)

I’m obsessed. The salads are incredible and leave you feeling healthy and full of energy. Their window-fridge full of of fresh produce makes me smile. They source produce from CA farmers. And the prices are actually a bit better than some other downtown Santa Monica salad joints. Highly recommend!!

Yum! I have dietary restrictions and usually I have to end up ordering bland food at most places. These guys are the exception. Gluten-free, dairy-free, and soy-free options (and Vegan if that's your thing) are all here. So happy with my meal and my portion.

I had a very wholesome salad for a decent price at a very inviting place. The atmosphere felt very modern and clean. I noticed several times that the place has taken the effort to be eco-friendly with their packaging and waste management. I felt good about eating here for a number of reasons. Will definitely come back next time I'm around.

First timer of Sweetgreen and I fell in LOVE! We were in LA for 3 days and we had one every day! Fresh ingredients, the chicken was so flavorful and NOT dry, and I loved their personal touch on toppings with homemade croutons and such. & the portions are great! Buffalo Chicken Caesar was my favorite. Also, I watched a documentary about Sweetgreen recently and they seem to be struggling some to keep this place going but that feels like a shame because this is sooo needed! Salads yes can be expensive but this place felt like they were doing it RIGHT and justifies price for me honestly!!

This place really put a smile on my face!! Staff super nice and friendly, all fresh raw ingredients, plenty of seasoning and spices, mix and match how ever way you like it. Defiantly one of the best meals I had in LA as a raw salad lover haha

If you are tired of eating unhealthy fast food or just want to try something different in general try sweetgreen it’s really healthy but also really delicious. There’s a stigma with living in California that we are so caught up in our body image and healthy foods, it’s true, so places like this really fit into the aesthetic…Most times I find that healthy food stores don’t taste that great but this one has many customizable options and it’s really delicious…. I do lots of luxury shopping in downtown Santa Monica so whenever I’m in town I always go to this place. If you love carbs like I do😅 make sure you try out there bread it is so amazing

I’ve got a healthy bowl with salad mix, veggies, rice and meat. It cost me about 15$ and I gave 10% tips, staff were polite and friendly. I’ll come back again

Great place for fresh, delicious and healthy meals. Especially recommend the Hummus Tahini salad. Loved how they listed ALL the locations of their ingredients and it's all local and seasonal! Only downside was there is no waste-free eat in option (such a shame!), with the compostable bowls and cutlery the only option (not as good as no waste).

Amazing bowls. LOVED IT! I had the Cashew/tofu bowl and it was lovely. It is a little spicy too. The only issues i could have with this place is that you cannot pay with cash and also that the staff could improve their processes. They seemed disorganised.

We ordered 2 bowls and they really skimped on the protein. There was barely any which was really disappointing. On top of that, we got such large proportions of other things. Just felt unbalanced. For example, my girlfriend got her dish which was 80% kale even though she ordererd the bowl with many ingredients.

I didn’t realise it was a chain… I ordered a salmon plate. The salmon wad beautiful - although a very small portion. The major component on the plate was some white rice that haf been so cooked it had lost all its moisture and ended up being crispy. Fresh avocado was appreciated. Overall, it was 780 calories meal where the major component is the rice… so not worth it. Staff was lovely though and the place has a great vibe and is clean.

I realized only after eating half of the slice of bread they put on top of my salad had mold on it. When I reached out to customer service they wanted to give me a five dollar credit even though I didn’t even eat the salad because of the potential toxins that the bread/mold could’ve been in the salad. I told him I didn’t eat the salad. I could bring it back to the store. I would just like a refund, but they insisted on giving me a $17 credit instead of a refund. As if I would ever eat here again.

Sweetgreen suffers from poor quality control. I hate to give them a bad review. I very much appreciate they use paper containers instead of plastic. When the salads are on, they are incredible. It’s just that, far too often, the orders turn out wrong, they are out of ingredients, or there is something bad in the salad. It’s unfortunate. We ordered delivery today and the tofu in our salad was not good. It seemed old and stale. It was chewy and gross. Also, they were out of spinach. This is about the third time in row that we’ve had a bad experience with Sweetgreen. Unfortunately, it’ll probably be our last time eating here because of this.

The food was good. We asked if they have small servings and the guy showed me the two bowl sizes they have. At the end he charged me the full price and told me "the size was based on your preference". I would expected him to tell me that the small would cost the same.

I ordered a bowl with chicken for delivery. My bowl had no chicken and was entirely rice, broccoli, and sweet potatoes. I was only able to be refunded $3.85 for the chicken. Disappointed.

Don’t come here if you are POC. They asked me if I knew the pricing after they noticed I wanted a couple of items on my salad and they had me pay before making my food. I’ve never had this experience at any other sweet greens. Came here 1/4/24 around 11am. Older white lady with blue eyes and thick black liner.

I just had a very disturbing experience at the Santa Monica location. With the locations supervisor/manager, Brady. I ordered my meal with Uber Eats for in store pickup. I made the mistake of not noticing the item came with Cashew dressing. I am allergic to cashews. After picking up my order. I noticed my mistake. I walked back and asked the associate if she wouldn't mind making me a new one without the dressing. She got her managers (Brady) approval. As she was making the new bowl, she was told by one of the chefs that the salmon would take 15-20 minutes. I asked if it would be an issue for me to switch out the proteins, to avoid having to wait. And if so, I'd do steak. I also offered to pay for any additional cost as this was my mistake. Brady turns to her, while I'm standing there, and tells her no. That online orders cannot be adjusted. He does not have enough common courtesy to tell me as I'm standing there. I let the young lady know that I would wait for the salmon. As I'm waiting another patron is ordering the exact same order as me, also without the cashew dressing. She did not take the order, not sure why, and left the restaurant. When my order was ready Brady handed me what seemed like the same order the woman rejected. Either way I took the order after inquiring if this was the same food the woman rejected. Brady told me no. I then calmly let Brady know. I did not appreciate him not making the accommodation for me to switch the proteins to avoid having me wait so long. He again stated that online orders can't be changed. I then said that he could have made the adjustment for me, seeing as though he was the manager on duty. He could've adjusted the order at managers discretion (his discretion). He just chose not to. Brady then tells me, "I didn't know you worked here". Very smug, very catty, and unprofessionally childish. I was taken aback and let him know to watch his mouth, that he was not speaking to a child. He then said, "what did you say!?", as if he was going to do something. I repeated myself "you are not speaking to a child, watch your mouth. Brady, "have a great day sir". In a very petty tone. In front of his associates this is how he behaves. This is the type of example he is to his team. Now they too may think it's ok to throw jabs at customers. I am a store manager for a luxury brand. I manage a large team. Regardless of how upset I am with a client. My team or my clients will never know. I would never get out of character with a client or team member. But maybe this is Brady's character. All in all, I made a mistake. I even offered to pay for my mistake. Brady is uncouth and has no business managing anything or anyone. I did not appreciate his demeanor, his tone, nor his choice of action/words. I do not wish to have a refund or any sort of compensation. I just wanted to give my experience and hopefully Brady can have proper training on how to deal with client issues. Without being so abrasive and rude.

Mixed feelings. One day food was good, but the next time I visited — got a severe food poisoning. Clearly I got it from this cafe as it was the only food I had today. I think I was their first customer that day, and maybe around half an hour I started noticing symptoms. The end result: spent whole day puking and deficating. I think it's either food or staff didn't wash hands properly
