Opinions de ALOH-O Santa Rosa
Wow, this place was fabulous. Large portions and low prices. The food was fresh and the spices were perfect. We waited about 15 minutes which was well worth it. The guys behind the counter were literally running trying to keep up with take out and eat in orders. I’m sure this will now be our go to spot every time we’re in Santa Rosa.
I tried this place for my husband, I didn’t have a desire to try poke bowls. However, we both loved them! The service was great they were friendly, kind and accommodating. I love that they have GF soy sauce and the pickled ginger yummy! Now my daughter and I sneak off once a week and share lol, don’t tell my husband lol JK. The prices are great! The only bummer for me is they don’t do gift cards. I hope that changes soon. This is our new permanent take out place and if we need a little snack we share a CA roll.
I guess poke hasn't caught on heavily in Sonoma county yet but I definitely welcome a new poke (and tea!) location here in SR. Good poke bowls with lots of flavor. I like how they're inclusive to vegan, vegetarian folks, as well as those who arent keen on eating raw fish as they have cooked protein options as well. Order system for a bowl is to mark your base, protein, and (unlimited) toppings on a paper menu to give to staff. Great place to grab some food to bring home after your shopping/errand run in the area!
Overall a good experience and chain they always put up with my bs especially when I put a order for pick up in and then family decides they want to add stuff after I have arrived. Food is good sometimes the chicken can be a bit overcooked but otherwise good food and good teas.
I love this place. Anytime I'm on the other side of the bridge I come in for poke and boba. They're quick with service and always high quality
I just had a delicious poke bowl. Definitely best poke bowl in Santa Rosa! My daughter said the bento box with chicken teriyaki n veggie tempura is 🔥.
great thai tea. i go often and the cashier is always very polite. And they dont load their drinks with 10 pounds of ice :)
Been going here a couple of times now. I really enjoy the poke bowls lots of customization with proteins, toppings, and base. The drinks are also good, especially with boba.
First time having poke-I LOVED IT! Kinda felt stupid, as I had NO idea how to order and cashier just kept pointing to a table. Once I realized that I needed to go to the table, check some boxes as to what I wanted and then give the order to the cashier, it was easy! Good food-fresh, so many options and cheaper than Taco Bell for 3 people!
Poke is my favorite since I was a little girl and lived in Hawaii. Food is fresh and you can get your bowl with any topping you want. Fast and friendly service. Try their teas - so good! Definitely a new favorite!
Great food! Lots of toppings that’s worth the price
My daughters are big fans of sashimi and milk tea so we made sure to try this new spot as soon as possible. The atmosphere is fun and ordering is easy. Don't be intimidated if you're not well versed in poke, they provide easy to understand descriptions of all their sauces. Toppings are more than generous. Rolls were simple but tasty. Instantly one of our favorite places. Will be back.
Delicious and fresh poke bowls! Got a salmon bowl with all the fixings, it s so much food I have an additional lunch. My partner got the bento box and the tempura was crispy even with take out. Love all the snacks and drinks options too.
Wonderful Bento boxes. Delicious sushis! Clean and nice outdoor seating/eating area.

The food here was very delicious, and the employees were great. Very sweet and attentive. Our only issue was that there was no ventilation. It was pretty warm in there. If they had air conditioning, I’d have a little bit better review, but the food was really good.
Best sushi for the price. Non spicy options
Definitely recommend the salmon poke bowl! What I really like about ALOH-O’s poke bowls is that every time I go get take out, it’s very consistent. There are other poke places in the area that feel like a coin toss for quality each time I go, and as an added bonus, the past three times I’ve gone, ALOH-O has completely stuffed my bowls, which I can’t say the same for others. I also appreciate that they don’t nickel and dime me every time I want more than two toppings lol. Definitely my go-to spot now for a quick poke fix. They also are always super fast whenever I order online.
Aloh-o is a local chain of Poke spots, not all of them are created equal but this one is good. Large portions, a bowl is about 20$. Sushi is fine, not mind-blowing but would order again for sharing. I have NEVER been food poisoned by them, and for a raw fish place that's saying something. It's best you grab food and leave as seating is limited and atmosphere leaves much to be desired.
I love the cold poke bowl with salad greens as a base with all the toppings and extra fish+seaweed salad. It's my go-to take out order when I have to go run errands and end up in that shopping center. I get my kids CA rolls. I always order on their website and just pick it up from the counter. The interior of the restaurant is "meh" so I sit outside or in my car to listen to a podcast. But everyone who works there is really nice.
This is my husband favorite place to get poke!! The freshest ingredients, super nice staff, and quick service!!
The ramen is good for the price. The staff have great service and are very friendly. Most of our orders are to go, they will make sure you have all the utensils needed. The place can be hot in summer as AC is not blowing but it is ok for pickup orders. Savings are passed to the customers, right?

I am so glad this place has come to the marketplace... finally a good sushi, poke, Boba place!!! Online order is awesome!! My only issue is that my Boba order the last 2 times has been made by a person not reading the order label therefore making the drinks (4) incorrectly. Kinda irritating at $5 per.
The shrimp tempura roll was good but cashier needs to take customer service class…also was he was guessing whose orders was whose, isn’t that why you insisted in giving us our receipt for our number. Make sure you ask for light ice or no ice at when ordering milk tea so you can get the most and add ice later because I saw him making it and it’s only a cup of liquid that goes in the large cups and the rest is ice. Got u

The food was awesome, I love poke bowls and the chicken katsu bowl was amazing! Loved the sushi rolls too. My only concern was the restaurant was very hot inside and there was little to no ventilation. This had me concerned for the kitchen staff because it was almost 90 degrees outside when we went. Other than that it was a great place and we will definitely be coming back.

Tables are not often wiped down, served avocado that was brown. Recommend to order out.
The prices are more than reasonable and I got my food quickly (although I was the only customer). Sadly didn’t enjoy my food too much. The rice has something sweet added.. like a syrup. I got the bento box with sushi rolls and it also includes a side of green salad and rice. The salad also had super sweet dressing and even the sushi rice was sweet. Not so good in my opinion, but maybe a passable option. Didn’t get to try the boba tea this time.
The sushi is great. The miso soup wasn't. Staff are friendly! I wish the menu broke down ingredients more. Like for the ramen, what all is in it? What kind of broth? Also, would love a veggie ramen, please!
The sushi was awesome. I also had a bento box that was not all good. The mixed tempora was good but the teriyaki chicken tasted awful. I think the chicken was spoiled or old or. Something. It tasted nasty
We've frequented this place many times. We've felt 100% about it each time. Today, well the fish is of a lesser quality and overall the bowl is now at best average. We're not sure if we'll go again....
Just ok. Stopped in for lunch. I had the bento box with tempura vegis and a california roll. My husband had soup, salad and a california roll. While it was OK, I don't think I would go back. It was $33 for the two of us without drinks and just lacked flavor. We could have went next door to Panda for half the price.
I gave it 3 stars because the menu is clear but not descriptive. They aren't trying to be something they are not. They are Japanese fast food. The food is ok. The employees are helpful if you ask for help.
Decent little poke spot for Santa Rosa. What I ordered: poke bowl with tuna, yellow fin, tofu, cucumber, edamame, avocado, mango, pineapple, tobico, and spicy sauce over sushi rice. What I liked: good sized portion for $13, good flavoring, everything was fresh, service was quick. Dislikes: raw fish struck me as potentially pre-frozen (wasnt bad - just not the best Ive ever had); sauce, fish and tofu were mixed together, dumped over the rice and then buried under the other toppings > This is a personal preference here but I prefer to have my poke visible and seated next to the other things in my bowl so I can taste each thing individually if I so wish.
The poké bowl I ordered was relatively good, but I found a piece of plastic wrap inside the food. The teriyaki chicken in my bowl was also a bit disappointing, as the pieces were a bit too big and were slightly bland.

Got the build your own Poke bowl, ingredients was ok as far as freshness. Shrimp wasn’t whole shrimps though and the rice was hidden way and the bottom and minimal.. it’s 3 stars for me.. butterfish is way better!!! Also not worth $26..
I normally enjoy Aloh-o and don't typically write bad reviews, but I think the quality and service has gone down recently. On Friday, I ordered two poke bowls and vegetable gyoza to go. Once I got home, I realized both of the bowls were completely wrong - the rices we're mixed, both bowls were missing a protein, and generally just didn't have any care put into them. I called right away and let them know what had happened and asked for a refund. The cashier let me know that she would talk to her manager and get back to me. A couple days later, no one has called me back this still wasn't resolved, so I had to call again. I'm very disappointed because I'm in a game of phone tag with them, where none of the cashiers can help me and the manger isn't giving me a call directly themselves. I hope this can be resolved, and honestly it's kind of a small thing, but I wanted to leave a review as the service and food is not as good anymore.

Ordered my sushi rolls today. And they served for other people before me. I had to go ask where my order was and it sounded like they gave it to somebody else. I got my money refunded. I even helped one of the guys pick up money that they had dropped all over the floor. Will never eat there again
The place got my order wrong. I wanted the Bento that comes with two main dishes. I ordered salmon and mixed tempora, they gave me a imitation crab roll and katsu chicken. I was sad when I got home... It's a decent portion size but not what I ordered. Very upset.
Tasty island poké favorites, but coupled with lack of staffing makes for a poor Grand Opening. Even with just 8 clients in queue for the lunch crowd, the three staff members struggled to keep up with entrée orders. At least one potential customer left in frustration because he couldn't place an order from what I saw. Please staff appropriately, or this delicious offering won't be available from poor business planning.
I have been coming to the Santa Rosa location since it opened. Back then it was hands down the best Poke place in town. Best value and best quality. But for years all of that has slowly gone down the hole. Prices rose, portions got smaller, and service got worse. The past few months I've gone, they have CONSISTENTLY messed up my orders. A lot of the times, it was a PAID ADDITION they missed. This is completely unacceptable. I'm paying extra for the item, I want to have that item in my food. At first, i let it slide. I work in restaurants, i can understand how hectic a busy night can be. Sometimes things are missed. I've done it before. But... When your building is EMPTY when i arrive to pickup my order there's no excuse. I'm sick of being burned for this. There are other places to get Poke and they will get my business instead.
staff made error on my order i ordered extra of certain foods and they were not even included on my order at all. while i raised the issue they put the normal amount on when you dont pay extra. the food is good but errors like this make choosing this as my primary poke howl spot a big no. The petaluma location however is amazing.

TLDR: go for the novelty but unless it comes prepackaged, don’t eat it. I’m sure something here must be good but we ended up throwing away $45 of food bcz it was so questionable. There are lots of other good places that serve this type of stuff in Santa Rosa, we’d suggest you’d look there for nourishment or noms. This was our first time and last time at this store and location. “Fresh” Sashimi comes prepackaged like American cheese and didn’t taste like real tuna at all. Salmon teriyaki bowl - dodgy fish, good mix ins, but it was absolutely drowned in sauce. More of a sauce stew or chili rather than a true poke bowl Matcha latte: tasted like a warm Diet Vanilla Coke masquerading as a matcha latte Threw out more than half the food rather than give it to the dogs and make them sick as well because our tummies are already rumbling and not it a good way, more in a “I’m gonna be sick all night” way. Plus, no masks (except for cashier) or indoor cleaning was observed (80% of tables were either sticky or had food residue) Overall rating: 12/25 (F rating in my book) Chicken teriyaki bowl 1/5 (fatty chicken, too much rice, and bad quality teriyaki) Salmon teriyaki bowl 2/5 (mix ins saved it from being a 1 but the sauce destroyed it) Veggie Tempura 4/5 (again too oily) Matcha latte 0/5 (ugh what was that weird sweetness) Ito en oolong tea 5/5 (prepackaged goodness) - can’t go wrong with Ito En
ALOH-O on santa rosa ave a no go. One staff claimed everything stays separate with it's own serving utensils and then a second staff member gloves up and starts hand scooping from every dish without changing gloves... cross contamination for celiacs, cross contamination for vegetarians. All the while they advertise vegetarian and gluten free options. It's a shame people are so dumb.
Love this place but over 70% of the time, at least 1 part of my order is made wrong/made differently than what is shown on the sticker, regardless of if it’s an online order or an order made in person. Really don’t want to bother the employees and they are usually busy so I don’t say anything, but it’s frustrating that i’m paying for something that i didn’t even order. Sad to see it be such a common thing with other people who buy from here.
Giving this place a try. I ordered a miso ramen, can of coke, and a deep fried California roll. Nothing complicated at all. I was charged for a regular California roll. Mistakes happen, I corrected the mistake, she charges me 5 extra dollars for it to be deep fried. I pay it and afterwards start thinking of the price difference only to realize she over charged me 55 cents. That's not a lot of money but when I confronted her on it, she told me I was wrong until I did the math and explained that the additional charge was too much. Begrudgingly she gave me the difference but wasn't happy about it. Not to mention that their drink cooler wasn't working so my drink is warm. Overall I should have gone to panda express next door and saved the $35 I wasted here. I will not be returning
2 bowls without add ons and a bobba was 45 dollars, it's mostly rice, very little fish "2 scoops" the fish was mushy soft and the salmon was old, it Tasted like a chum bucket. The avocado was brown like mud. It's not poke, it's a joke.
Santa Rosa Location simply isn’t run very well. I’m not sure if it’s due to staff shortages or something else. We order Tuna poke bowls Cold, they were served warm and the Tuna was kind of this mushed topping instead of cubed fish, and rice was hot and packed in, this isn’t a good poke bowl. The seating area was uncomfortably warm and the soft drinks from the refrigerator were Luke warm too, sigh. One star because the staff was very nice.
I eat at a lot of Asian cuisine and this was the first place where the ramen had no flavor. The only thing edible in the ramen was the meat. It still was burnt. Also took them 20 minutes to make my order because they were doing other people’s who came after me. I only had a 30 minute lunch. The cook also glared at me when I nicely asked how much longer on the ramen. The popcorn chicken I had, left an awful taste in my mouth. I only had 2 and threw the rest away. It was a waste of $40.
I am a huge lover of sushi/seafood so I’ve been all around Sonoma county trying different places This was my first time trying this place, and it was not a good experience unfortunately. Let me break it down into sections Atmosphere: you walk in and it is just genuinely dirty in there. It feels ghetto if I’m being honest, the dining tables have crumbs, dust, there was leftover food on top and you can tell the workers don’t really care about the environment. (I’ll explain I promise I’m not a Karen lol) Service: we got our order, waited like 10 minutes for it (not bad) until my husband and I received something minor on our orders that we don’t like. FYI I got a fried California roll but it came with fish eggs on top. In Sonoma county, it’s not familiar to put fish eggs on top of California rolls so it took me by shock and on the menu it does not specify what comes on the dish. Yes not a big deal right?, so my Husband and I thought to kindly ask the worker if he can take it off for us. The Asian male at the stand, told us “no we can’t remake it” hence we said “if they can just scoop off the fish eggs off top we are not asking you to remake it”. But the man handed us a spoon, and told us to do it ourselves. “ we kindly said “it’s a minor thing, we are not asking you to remake it, we were just hoping you could help us with it.” The man took it, but the chefs were not happy, they were talking back and fourth in a different language, with harsh tone and arguing back and fourth. Towards the end they told us “why couldn’t you guys tell us that before hand instead of now” in a frustrated tone My thoughts: Listen I understand it can be frustrating but my husband works in food service and knows how it is. Unfortunately, it’s your job at the end of the day and you always have to 100% show up for your business, the customers and the overall environment. It was even more frustrating because we weren’t angry or anything, we just kindly asked and felt like the service we received in return was childish. We didn’t bother to ask for a refund because, im pretty sure the man wouldn’t have gone for it knowing how pugnant he was on helping us with the little task. After we got our food; the man, went back to playing card games on his phone, while the chefs in the back were just talking in the kitchen more about the situation. If I had a business, being on the phone wouldn’t be a thing. They could be doing something like cleaning the restaurant!!. (I promise I’m not exaggerating lol) Food; food was okay, the California rolls were decent, but if you genuinely want good sushi, I recommend you go to -> Quick sushi (my favorite place, and their prices are more reasonable). The ramen, not a fan for it being 20 something $ it felt like store bought noodles (watered down, no flavor and noodles were too chewy) very dissapointed but never again. Save your money, save your time and spend it elsewhere. For the price on the items it is not worth it, even if you go somewhere else and pay an extra buck or too, at least the food is worth the price. Please check out; kiraku ramen( very good ramen) and quick sushi. Very delicious, and they have so much variety!! Thanks for reading my review and happy food travels!
Ordered my food from a remote kiosk, waited 20 minutes, asked about my order. “He’s working on it now” watched 6 other people come in and order and leave within a few minutes with their poke bowls. All I ordered was tuna and salmon poke bowl very simple. Management seems to be lacking
