The manager of this location was amazing! I placed my first Uber eats order and the employees of DQ didn’t give the driver my full order. Lorena personally brought it to me on her way home, which was way above and beyond what she needed to do. She was so nice and said it was on her way, remade a fresh order and apologized for the error. I can’t thank her enough for the kindness and willingness to help me today.
I’ve never had a bad experience at this location. The staff have excellent customer service and the food is always tasty and correct. Too tasty that I had a mild addiction for a moment. Very thankful for the great staff! I never dined inside only done drive through.
Tonight looked like one of the busiest nights they've ever seen. The staff is all young but very hard pushing. Crazy long line through the drive thru so I went in, just as crazy busy in there too. Kids and my wife and I got our blizzards and we're more than satisfied, Tony is who helped us, he was very quick, calm, professional and amusing. Kept a very level head and it's exactly what I'd hoped to see for this store. Thank you team dairy queen!
The wait for them to open was well worth it. This establishment is ran by a great group of young individuals who are very respectful, polite, knowledgeable and happy to serve. The chicken baskets were hot and fresh and the blizzards were well mixed with ample toppings including, which most DQs skimp you on! They have been swamped since they opened, and yet the service has been nice and fast, inside that is! Faster than most dairy queens I've been to! Great job!
Came in yesterday and I'm so impressed with how well mannered and respectful the staff are inside- a bunch of kids. My food was hot and came out almost instantly. The blizzards were amazing and didn't spill over My wife appreciated the door being held open for her by the young kiddos and I liked the farewell phrases of " Enjoy! You guys have a good night and be safe" made me feel right at home
Today is their second day open... I was expecting chaos just looking at the drive thru line outside. We decided to go inside to order our food and blizzards to go. The building is very nice inside and out, very clean, very fun appearance. There were only 2 people ahead of us in line and we didn’t wait longer than maybe 2 minutes before it was our turn to order. Extremely friendly staff, both at the order counter and the staff that brought our food out to us. I was very impressed with how sweet, polite, helpful, and courteous the young staff members were! Very great experience!
First, this location stated out amazing. The staff was great, fast food, Ice cream was correct etc. Then about a month or two into being open I’m not sure what happened. I don’t know if management already changed or or other lower management was hired in, but there are a couple of very unprofessional people that are working the front end. The first time we went in the cashier just ignored us. We had to walk up to him. We couldn’t hear a word that he was saying. We had questions about a certain blizzard and he had no clue and just said don’t know. Okay.... we bought 4 blizzards. They say in the window done for a good 5 minutes while he stood there. I almost grabbed them. They were leaking so bad he didn’t flip any one them. I didn’t have the patience to have them remade when it wasn’t the back ends fault. When we went back two weeks later it was the same guy. We were waiting to get our order taken inside and we were never acknowledged by the cashier. When he did he snapped at us and said um hello!! I had to walk away and come back. He took our order which were two burgers. Never asked what we wanted on them and submitted the order. We quickly said we needed to tell him what we wanted on it and he said no he submitted It. Okay not a huge deal. He then did retake the order with what we wanted on them but of course they came out wrong. Not the cooks fault. He then handed us our two burgers and said here. No bag no nothing just here. Then we watched someones ice cream sit in the window melting while he just stood there talking to a coworker. By the time we went to the ice cream it was melted and told the ladies in the back to re make it because it was melted..... while he was doing this, the other cashier was eating a burger while taking a order and munching on food at the same time. Rude. He needed help on something and he HOLLERED for his manager to help him. That’s so rude. As a manager though you should be more aware of what’s going on on your front end. I won’t got back inside anytime soon because I was just so heated over this situation.
Our experiences here recently have been very disappointing. Not completely blended Blizzards. Tonight the same! I ordered a Pumpkin Pie Blizzard, you can see the pumpkin and “toppings are on the top” are blended, but only Vanilla ice cream at the bottom. McDonalds blends better, which says a lot. Also bad service in the drive through. Young workers don’t seem to enjoy their job.
2 out of 3 times we have been disappointed. 1st time all ice cream machines were down. 2nd time ok. 3rd and last time I will go vanilla was down, got chocolate blizzards that came out so soupy I had to put it in the freezer. Probably why they didn’t flip it upside down, but I didn’t think anything of it. Their equipment is clearly not reliable, go elsewhere.
This used to be good to get dinner at but I don't know what has happened. I went several nights ago, there was nobody in the drive thru so I thought it would be quick. It didn't take too long but when I got my order and headed home, I knew there was an issue. I started eating my fries on the way home. They were hot but the more I ate, it seemed like they put a basket of old fries in the oil to heat them up. Not cool. The burger, I couldn't eat more than 2 bites. It was a regular burger but for some reason it was on a stale brioche bun. I threw it in the trash. The Blizzard was good though. I do have to chuckle when they do the upside down trick, but with the lid on. I will skip their food from now on but am not giving up on the Blizzard.
Ice cream was good, was kinda melted and they didn’t do the upside down thing, which wasn’t a huge deal. Ordered some floats and they were pretty melted as well and looked unappetizing but it was 90 degrees outside ? When asking which float was which, The cashier answered “I don’t remember, sorry” Which was kinda funny. It wasn’t a huge deal either just kinda unprofessional but I mean what can you expect from teenagers at a fast food joint. I may try it again in the future but probably won’t be back. give it a try maybe your experience will be better.
Ordered the Crispy Chicken Sandwich from DQ on 104th in Commerce City. Chicken sandwich was raw in the center. Tried to call to correct the situation and couldn’t get anyone to answer. Very dangerous… food poisoning is extremely possible from raw chicken.
So much slower than necessary, not a manager in sight, and when we pulled up to the window, its a bunch of kids talking and moving as slow as possible. Now don't get me wrong, I totally get being slammed, i work at a very big chain, but this was unacceptable. There was not a single person rushing to get orders out. There were two ladies who came out and proceeded to talk about how they were almost closed (mind you it was 15 minutes till close). It was just overall a very unpleasant experience. Working in the food industry myself, its so easy to point out what was wrong and what would have been done better, but this was possibly the worst I've seen. Train your workers better. Our blizzards were delivered to us with icecream dripping down the sides, to which i KNOW anywhere else it would be unacceptable. Only one was wiped down. Picture shown. So disappointed with their performance. Step it up.
Save your money. Go elsewhere you'll be very disappointed and wait in long line. Horrible accuracy. Horrible listening skills. Horrible experience. Still not what I ordered but better than what I had?
We were so excited to have a Dairy Queen in our neighborhood. However, last night we waited well over 30 minutes for our blizzards. People who had come in after us were served, had eaten theirs and left before we even got our order. We had to go in and ask for them to make our order because they had apparently forgotten about it. We are very disappointed and will not be back to this location. We will drive farther for better service.
I went inside thinking it would be faster because of the long drive thru. I stood waiting for 30 min even though there was no one in front of me in line. People after me were getting their orders first. My blizzards sat in the window so long they were melted. They were made with the wrong candy. The Kids were working hard, but not reading the orders close enough. Supervisor stood around talking too much, but did apologize for the long wait.
Kinda gross experience. I ordered my ice cream, once I came to the window it was melted. I had also ordered fries, was charged for them, but I had to remind them I ordered them. I waited for my fries to be made. When I got them they tasted like fish stick batter or shrimp batter residue. Not very clean. Also saw an employee picking at the food as it was being made. I just think the manager may be inexperienced and not worried about the image she portrays to customers. She also had her mouth full of food while walking through the kitchen. Gross.
Just went to go and get ice cream with my family at the Dairy Queen at this location. We waited in a long line (which is fine we didn’t mind) to when we finally got to the box to order we were told the ice cream machine was down. It was a bummer but we still understood that stuff happens. However we watched everyone in front of us receive ice cream. So we pulled up to the window to see all the kids that were working messing around. I waited for them to greet us so I could ask about the ice cream machine not working. His response was “we didn’t know the ice cream machine didn’t work when they all ordered so we still fulfilled their order.” Ummm whaaat? If the machine was down how can you still make ice cream for customers? Are we picking who we serve to now? It was only 8:00pm and they close at 10. I continued to watch them make more ice cream blasts for themselves so when I asked about it he had nothing to say. To me it sounded like kids not wanting to work. Who manages this location?
Let’s talk about a way to ruin a business. The store was completely empty, no one in the drive through. My family and I did a mobile order and ate in shop. Our food was wrong and ice cold. Fries tasted like they were days old and bread was soggy! We then order ice cream and it took 15 MINUTES to make. Again still the only people around. There was tons high schoolers “working”. While waiting two friends of the employees walked in 10 minutes after we order and got drinks and ice cream before us and for free! they all were eating and making each other different food and ice cream combinations . none of the employees were attentive or wanting to be there and help. all the kids came rolling out the kitchen wiping nose with their hand or rubbing hands through there hair. then handling straws, food, cups, spoon, etc. once we finally got our ice cream the cups were filthy and over pouring. which for a mom with two littles that is a disaster waiting to happen. this is the second time having terrible service and terrible food. This place used to always be packed but I guess we are the last to jump on the train of leaving it behind. As a store manager myself I would be embarrassed to have my staff act like this. As someone who loves in Ice cream and dairy queen I will be taking my business somewhere else! this store is a disgrace to the dairy queen name.
Disappointing experience after waiting about a year for them to actually open. Should have waited another month and properly trained all the employees. Drive through wait time was in excess of 25 minutes at 3:30pm on a Tuesday. While sitting in line, I was starting to wonder if the staff were out milking the cows to make the Blizzards. Two of the three vehicles in front of me passed their orders back into the store so I'm guessing something wasn't correct with them. After all that wait, I was informed that the coupons and offers that were mailed to all local residents back in March (and that expire by mid-April) won't be accepted until May. Nice little bait and switch campaign. That might be a good thing to inform the staff that are taking orders so they don't tell customers "You'll get your correct total at the window..."
