Everything was fresh and tasty. My only gripe is that the "combo" does not come with a drink. At least put that on a prominent display. I paid with a credit card for my meal and than asked for my cups for drinks. I was not going to reuse my credit card for a two dollar small drink. The staff had good service but didn't really answer questions. Place is usually pretty busy because there is no food court in this mall.

I was a little surprised by Mandarin Express. I wasn't expecting much when I walked in because it looks like most fast food Chinese restaurants. I think the food was prepared better. My friend and I both thought it was an upgrade from what we were expecting. Update: I ate there again recently with the same friend. Maybe the first time was beginners luck. The second time was good also but more typical of a westernized Chinese restaurant. The prices are reasonable and I recommend giving it a try.

Professional, clean, customer service oriented, quick. The food was hot and tasty.

My second time ordering via Uber eats this week. This restaurant sends you what they want you to eat, not what you order. And apparently they think salted caramel cookies are the same as chocolate chip. Too bad caus ethe food is decent.

There were a few people in line, not too many and places to sit Unfortunately, the nice couple ahead of me had some questions, and he had a bit of an accent, about the combos and the woman serving put her hand up, like talk to the hand, mutters I can't do this and asked for someone in the back. A woman from the back brought out a shrimp costs extra sign,okay, no biggie. I was super happy the new worker helped me. I selected veggies instead of rice and then I was passed on to the worker having a bad day. My question about what was spicy was met with indefference so, I selected mongolian chicken and broccoli beef. I did like the fact the broccoli still had some crispness and the chicken had a little spice to it, however there were a couple of crunchy meat bits. The beef was pretty good, made a lot better by the. 50 side of yum yum sauce I added. The food was pretty good, however, I won't be going back here based on how the customers are treated. We all have those days, we do not get bad customer treatment days.

The very best part was the lettuce wraps! Those are amazing. Was not overly impressed with the other portions of our meal.

Probubly not,over all it was tasty but not what i expected , especially if what i got was what i acually orderd

They close stupid early. Went out of my way to grab some food at 8:00 and they were closed. The mall shouldn't even allow them to operate here since they can't accommodate shoppers. UPDATE: Never again! Finally made it here before they close. Was 6:25. The only thing I eat on the menu is the shrimp, I absolutely love it. When I arrived the shrimp tray was clean and empty. The African American woman just standing behind the counter with a miserable look on her face only had 2 words for me. First I asked if they had any shrimp, her response, "no". I asked, "are you going to make more?", her response "no". She made a bad experience way worse. I'll never make another attempt at dining here. It's a joke!! Close early, don't offer what's on there menu and employees who look like they want to kill themselves. Terrible!

Food presentation looked good, however, customer service is horrible. When I walked in, the associates’ body language implied that I had interrupted them. They are insanely rude, the place is loud, and it’s hard to understand what is being said. The associates “bark” at you with attitude if repeating something is necessary. My whole experience was infuriating as I watched other customers receive the same horrible customer service.

I've been to similar places a million times so I know what to expect. 3 pieces of meat were inedible as they were grizzle. The friend rice was ok. First time in the mall, wanted something quick. Service was fast, but food less than average. Won't try it again.

Perfect restaurant if your on a restricted no solids diet. Everything in the showcase was either sold out , or looked as if it sat out all day. Chose the vegetable spring rolls because the chicken egg rolls looked like shoe leather. I am thinking hard and crunchy would have been better than the unpalatable mushy lukewarm veggie roll.. no way to describe this but felt like I was eating a bottom of an uncooked vegetable pot pie. Was doughy and I couldn't detect what vegetables were in them. I could only eat one. It's bad enough there is no food court in the mall, but the one chinese restaurant stinks. They have a 2 item combo for like $7.50. Save your money and go to Kona Grille in the mall during happy hour and get some great reasonable food.

This restaurant has gone progressively down hill. The selection of food is now restricted to very unhealthy options that are fried or drenched in excessive amounts of sticky, sweet sauce. The Thai option looked like it had been sitting there for days. On my last visit I was also subjected to loud, hardcore rap music while dining in which made for an even more unpleasant experience.

Ordered the Black Pepper chicken.. It was very good along with the fried rice, but way to much celery in the black pepper chicken...

Love Panda so I figured id give this place a try. Definitely not the same. Got noodles, rice, green beans, sesame and bourbon chicken. Rice and noodles were ok. Beans weren’t to bad. Didn’t care for either chicken. Portions were small. I’ll stick with Panda.

The teriyaki chicken had no teriyaki taste at all. No taste at all, very bland. Small portion size. The Boutbon Chicken was very peppery, there's no pepper in Bourbon.

Worst Chinese food EVER !!!!! Nothing was even edible! I highly recommend that you find somewhere else to eat. I feel like I got completely ripped off. They stole my money and gave me garbage they call food. The meat was extremely poor quality and you could tell the food was very old. Everything was really weird consistencies. Instead of being in a sauce it was more like a Gelatinous goo and the meat was hard as a rock. Just think about the worst Chinese buffet you’ve ever been to and then multiply how bad it was by 100 and that is how nasty this place is ! It’s pretty bad when you can’t even tell what kind of meat it is. That is how bad the quality is you cannot even identify chicken. Good luck if you choose to proceed with eating at this Business. I don’t even understand how they are still in business

** LONG BLACK HAIR IN THE NOODLES** Visited this past Wednesday with family from the UK, paid $40 for noodles, and another few items. We sat down after having the wipe the tables down. My daughter was happily tucking in because she loves the food there....then she pulled out the longest hair I've ever seen!!!! absolutely disgusting!!!!! I went to tell the staff, they couldn't have cared less, and she even had a smirk on her face as she spoke to me "what do you want, your money back or the food replaced"? I just said I wanted them to keep a clean kitchen and keep hair covered! I will NEVER go back.

Lady serving the food was very rude. Sign blatantly says " Honey Chicken" but I didn't see any on the line so I asked her where the Honey Chicken was and she very rudely told me they don't have any. Very rude and dismissive. Chicken was so soggy I couldn't even eat it. When you pick it up with the fork it literally falls into a pile of mush. The bathroom was filthy and there were piles of paper towel all over the floor overflowing trash can, very bad expierence.

I asked to sample firecracker shrimp for heat before ordering. I was told “we sample anything except the shrimp”. Could it be she just doesn’t like what I look like? Why in the world would a business offer a sample of everything on anything on the menu, except the one thing that I asked about? Hmmm… so I left. No sale.

There was a lady of of African American or African, perhaps Haitain descent. She was rude and offered absolutely no service. She was discriminatory, there were no customers ready to order, she hadn't helped anyone else and all I needed was a drink. She rudely and condescendingly almost mockingly told me to go to the back of the line. Keep in mind she hadn't addressed any other customers, the other customers were not ready to order and she kept taunting me after I stood outside in order to locate a manager or any contact information to escalate this. The lady was of a lighter complexion and should be reprimanded and made to go to diversity and equality training. Please reach out to me to address this, I will also be posting reviews on Google and yelp to help others avoid this type of treatment. The time of my visit was around 425 PM on Sunday 7.23.22 at your sarasota UTC mall location.

Possibly the worst Chinese food I've ever had. It was so bad, I couldn't finish it if I tried. I don't think I've ever tasted so much monosodium glutamate in food like this before. The Mongolian chicken was simply awful and the egg rolls (if those were indeed that) were just gross. The service too, in keeping with their culinary performance, was terrible. How they're still in business is an enigma.

Super dirty and all the food prep utensils were sitting on the counter and top of rice machine dirty. The lady used one glove to pick up dirty pans and then went and got hot food to put in the dirty steam table . Food was never rotated as she put the new in . You can tell this has been happening all day by the looks of the crusty food around the edges. There was grease and chewed up food on ALL of the tables and the floor was slippery from not being cleaned. I WANT THE MANAGER OF UTC TO TELL ME WHY THE HECK IS THIS EVEN ALLOWED. WHERE IS THE SPOT CHECKING OF THE RESTAURANTS FOR CLEANLINESS AND INTEGRITY. WHERE ARE THE INSPECTIONS????. The health department should look into all of the RESTAURANTS at this mall. Just because it is new doesn't make it safe.

We went to the location in Sarasota by the UTC Mall. We waited 25 minutes for our food and the place was not busy, but, you could see the people in the kitchen moving in slow motion and they were very disorganized. The server brought my husbands meal, which looked like a pile of mush, it was supposed to be Pad Thai with chicken and I had to ask where mine was. The server barked, it's coming. She then brought mine and it was thrown into a to go container when we said we were dining in when we ordered. My snow peas were were not cooked so I was unable to eat them. The food presentation is Terrible! The staff is not overly friendly. It is such a shame as this place was amazing for years. We have not been in in over a year because the food was so bad when we ordered take out, but, we thought we would give it another try hoping the food had improved. We will not return as things have obviously gone from bad to worse. Also the silverware was not stocked and the trash was overflowing along with the bins where people put their empty dishes. Obviously from reading other reviews many other people have had similar experiences. I do not understand why the company does not do anything about this. When they originally opened there was always a line to get in during dinner time as the food was so wonderful! Not today. There was plenty of seating and people coming in very slowly. After our experience we understand why. Try the Asian Kitchen on Clark Rd, their food is Amazing!

It was my first time trying this place and the food and service SUCKS!!!! I don’t understand how everyone is fine with the this mediocre food. Chicken feels like I was eating a dog. And in top of this the service it was awful, if it wasn’t that I was with my kids I would have left. One of the youngest girls there is nasty, rude and needs more training in customer service.

What restaurant only offers you one refill with meal? We didn’t even leave our seats. I Just wanted refills. This is ridiculous, girl said at the counter it’s a company policy. What is the world coming to?

The most disgusting experience I’ve ever had at a Pei Wei! I went to this establishment at 5:20pm on April 3rd. The two ladies who were serving the food were BEYOND disrespectful. The one lady completely skipped right over me and my sister in line and was visibly upset that we were ordering. And she began huffing and puffing when my friend asked her what the concept of the bowls were since it had been his first time there. The two ladies also began talking bad about us to each other. After we paid my sister asked if they had water cups and the lady ringing us up said no and then proceeded to hold up a large clear cup, rub it in our faces, then threw it in the trash…. WHAT SENSE DOES THAT MAKE??!!? How do they not have water cups??? Also not to mention the absurd amount of cross contamination we witnessed. Overall this experience and customer service was a 1/10. I work in the food service industry so I always try giving people the benefit of the doubt but in all my years I’ve never seen such horrible customer service. Shame on the two women working there and shame on the establishment for hiring them…
