Stone & Webster Chophouse at Plant Riverside District

We have been here many times and have never been disappointed. Tonight we brought our son and daughter in law for the first time. And our steal of outstanding experiences continued this evening. From the food to the service to the vibes, everything was amazing, per usual. Our kids absolutely loved it as well. And we had a great time celebrating them as a newly engaged couple. We will be back for sure!

The food was amazing. My wife and I celebrated our elopement there and the staff was great and congratulated us and gave us some great macaroons. We both ordered the filet minion and not joking probably the best steak we have ever order. We went here for our one year anniversary and decided to come back to celebrate our elopement and we are glad we did. AMAZING people, AMAZING food and great ambiance.

My husband and I went out to celebrate our last date night before having twins and we had the most phenomenal experience. Our server Casey was attentive and had great recommendations. The food was amazing, very good mocktails, and the thin mint dessert was so yummy. Thank you for a wonderful night!

Stone & Webster is outstanding. The service is polished, attentive, and makes you feel genuinely cared for from start to finish. The steaks are cooked to perfection! Tender, flavorful, and clearly top quality. Even the sides and starters are elevated and thoughtfully prepared. Every detail, from the wine to the atmosphere, reflects true attention to excellence. Exceptional food and service. Shout out to our server Kate she was excellent!! Friendly, attentive, and really made the experience great! thank you so much !

This place deserves way more than a 4.3! The food was divine and our server, Casey, was absolutely wonderful! We also loved the atmosphere. It was very intimate and well decorated. For sides, we split the mashed potatoes and the asparagus, which had a lemon vinaigrette sauce that was SO delicious! We both got the filet, medium and it was cooked to perfection with garlic butter. It was a lovely spot for a date night. We only had time for one dinner in Savannah and I’m so glad we chose Stone & Webster!

My husband and I visited Stone and Webster Chophouse to celebrate. We were greeted quickly and warmly by our server Mark who went out of his way to celebrate with us. This included complimentary champagne and macaroons as well as some photo opportunities of my husband and me. He was very knowledgeable of the menu and made excellent recommendations! Mark was attentive without hovering, courteous, respectful, kind, and personable. He saw us as more than restaurant guests. Not only was the service impeccable, but the food was also extraordinary! The chefs cooked everything perfectly with uniquely blended and exquisite flavor profiles for each dish. We HIGHLY recommend Stone and Webster. Be sure to ask for Mark! 11/10. The next time we visit Savannah, we will be returning to this establishment.

The service was excellent and the atmosphere very nice. We had the Ricotta Gnocchi which was our favorite dish of the meal. Super delicious! Our entrees were good. Solid dishes, but the flavors and preparations were fairly average. For the price point, it was a little bit of a bummer, but not bad. If the whole meal had the same creativity and execution as the gnocchi appetizer, this would’ve been a 5 star review.

The atmosphere is a five. The service took a while probably due to busy to get to our table. It is hard when you are spending so much to wait. The waiter did up charge our order which I hate as we were eating light. The bus boy was the funniest and kindest. The food was good, but maybe I didn’t get the right options to make it excellent.

This post is comparing SW to other high end steak houses I have eaten at around the country. When going to a higher end restaurant you pay for food and service. This failed on the service end, however the food was good enough to recommend maybe checking it out. Stayed the weekend at the JW which is amazing and wanted to stay in for a nice dinner for a birthday celebration. Got there at reservation time and got sat at a table for 4, even though there were 2 of us. The extra place settings took a while to be removed (they should always have your table set for your reservation). Service started good, orders were taken and drinks served. Water was very slow to be refilled and waiter was absent to check on drinks. Good came, salmon and filet, which was very well done. Didn’t see waiter again for anything. Water ran out, drinks ran out, no one around. The tables next to us all started to look at each other wondering why there was no wait staff. This is not acceptable for a place that comes off as a high end steak house. Waiter returned after a noticeable absence and took desert and drink orders. Which ended up being wrong. We paid our bill and left. The customers around us all felt it was horrible service as well. Positives - food was really pretty good, atmosphere was elegant industrial.

I intentionally waited to write this review because I wanted to be fair. Visited the restaurant on May 7 to celebrate my husband’s birthday. As we are big steak consumers, we were excited. It’s unfortunate our excitement was met with disappointment all around. The calamari was over breaded and over cooked, it was also a little on the salty side, I assume from you the breading. My husband decided on the New York Strip, the steak was bland, and tough, nothing like what we imagined it would be. I decided on the price fix menu for my meal the l scallops were not seared well and cold inside. The only thing we can compliment are the veggies! They were delicious. The bed of corn the scallops were placed on was delightful! Whipped potatoes were great, carrots sweet and delicious, the chefs got those right. Finally the wedge salad was fresh and refreshing. Last but not least our server was absent minded, and not at all focused on providing good service. We had to ask twice for refills of water, and it took forever for us to get out check. Most frustrating after she suggested which desert she thought would be good as a choice for my meal she forgot to bring it to the table. Once we satisfied our check we reminded her that we were expecting a dessert, she quickly informed us that we had not purchased one. Once we reminded her that my meal was entitled to one, and we ordered it, she apologized and brought us the dessert. Overall it was not a good experience. Price point is not an issue for myself or my husband however at S&W’s price point our expectation of the service and quality is much higher than what we received. And… we still tipped well.
