Great from the minute my 3 young grandaugters and I walked in. Wonderful service and welcoming. Food, waitress, atmosphere, and relaxing atmosphere. Very busy excellent service and enjoyable. Awesome Time!

Visited for the first time after hearing that Chef Dave from Faldoni's became the new head chef last week. Very nice place in Schaghticoke just off route 40. Large U shaped bar, serving great drinks all night. Placed filled up around 6-6:30 with many friendly locals who talked across the bar. Had the NY strip steak cooked mid-rare and it was spot on, seasoned wonderfully with a tasty loaded baked potato. Staff is friendly and attentive. Food was flying out of the kitchen. Worth the 27 minutes drive for me. I will be going back soon. Looking forward to seeing what Chef Dave will bring to the menu in the coming months!

We were married at my husband's family farmhouse in Johnsonville on 09/18/2021 and held our rehearsal dinner for about 25 people at Sammy Cohen's the evening before. We had had their food in the past and knew it was good, but the quality combined with their service and the atmosphere were great! We were able to not only use the banquet room that we had booked, but to sit out on the lovely back patio, which I had never noticed before but will certainly take advantage of again. Thank you to Lisa and her team at Sammy's for a great dinner and great memories with friends and family close to home!

Yummy food, cold drinks and a pleasant place to go. They have the real village tavern style pizza. Also they have a nice outside patio and they off street parking across the street. For entertainment they have multiple tvs. A large seating area with booths, tables and a large horse shoe bar. They quick draw and lotto. Wheel chair ready and parking out front for those that need it.

Surprised to find this gem on our journeys. We randomly stopped here and it was delightful and delicious. The Rachel and Fish sandwiches were huge and homemade ingredients and fries. 8

We had a surprise party in their banquet room. Their room is spacious, comfortable with a great atmosphere. There were over 50 people whom attended and throughly enjoyed the room and the buffet which was constantly kept stocked and freshened the entire time. Shout out to Courtney our hostess for a fabulous job. She was very attentive, accommodating and always a smile.

Went there on Friday night for the first time in a long time...Absolutely Amazing!! The Mango Habanero Salmon was out of this world!! The sauce was amazing, the fish perfectly cooked and the side dishes were just as good as the main course. Our Waiter: Will was perfect! Attentive, friendly and very knowledgeable. Everything was so good, I went back again on Sunday for the same dish! This time Chelsea was our waitress and she was absolutely amazing, attentive and once again the food was spectacular!! Between the food and the wait staff, we will be regulars

My strip steak and friends fish fry were perfectly cooked and large portions with fresh crisp side salads and even 4 great cups pf after dinner coffee. Our server was lovely and very efficient. We'll definitely return! Saw the chicken parm as we were leaving. Next on our list!

The seafood chowder was amazing, but my suggestion would be to make the reuben a bit better, as it was SO rubbery I could barely chew it. Other than that one minor detail, we enjoyed our visit and would return again.

I was invited to by my friend "Grumpy" to Sammy Cohen's and I hadn't been there. Well let me tell you, I have been VERY IMPRESSED !! The food is as good as it gets. I had a chicken sandwich with a Mediterranean flavoring, and it probably the best sandwich I've ever had. The roll was fresh and the flavors were over the top. "Grumpy" and I plan to be back soon. I must not forget the killer carrot cake for dessert !

Diamond in the rough. My husband loved his meatloaf, green beans and French onion soup. I had the seafood chowder and Philly cheesesteak. Way too big to eat all at once. Brought home 3/4 of it. The service was great! We'll be going again.

I had the lobster roll with home made fries and a side of steamed clams last night and it was all delicious. Saved me a trip to the ocean. We eat here about once a week and never disappointed. Favorites are garlic Parmesan wings, both bone in or boneless and the chicken Alfredo. I ask for extra sauce as I like it saucy. Delicious . 5 stars !!!!!!

This is a wonderful bar & restaurant. When I was younger our family always had pizza at Valley Falls and they have the same pizza recipe. Staff is very welcoming and service was fantastic! Try the owners Carrot Came for dessert.

Wings were amazing. Best wing sauce would be the medium garlic Parm. Pizza wasn't too bad it had a different crust. Wait staff was gracious and presentation was amazing. Def an 8 or 9 out of ten for wings.

Hour and half wait. Had surf and truff. Needed a better knife,had to ask for the melted butter,Brussel sprouts delishish but they and the mashed only barley warm. Place was very busy but. We will try again.

Went to hear my friend's band- Acud reins, they were awesome! Got a burger special and veggies, was tasty and well prepared. Wait staff was very attentive and accommodating. Good time!

Had lunch today. We had good food , great service and a nice atmosphere. What more do you want .

A burger made from local beef! I ordered medium rare,not expecting much since this was a pit stop on a road trip. The waitress was personable ,not overbearing. She asks the right questions as well as answering honestly about the food products. Negatives: the fried green beans are overly breaded and not made in house. Atmosphere could use some updates Positives: One of the Best burgers I've had. Medium rare perfection! I'm returin g on Sunday for steamers amND live music! More reviews coming

Good food, nice patio, convenient. Amending comments, last time my burger was WAY overdone and completely tasteless. Was supposed to have carmelized onions only had about 2 tsp of them plopped in the center

We have been here numerous times and it has been friendly,good service and good food. However, the last 2 times our pizza was over cooked which frankly ruin our dinner. This restaurant is not consistently good!

My son had a burger which he said was very good. Manicotti and chicken parm had no real flavor. Frozen and they added blah sauce?? Service was good- friendly

Burgers are big and tasty. Pastas are only ok. Meatloaf and brown gravy is good. The place was recently not prepared for a medium sized dinner party. Food took forever and came out tepid. I keep going back for the burgers, and the friendly service. Nora the hostess is super nice.

My burger was ordered well done. I got Pink inside with the out side charred very well. My companions Alfredo sauce was so thin. Our first visit and we were not impressed. The burgers and dinners are couple of bucks more then I'm willing to pay for the mediocre meals.

Not impressed. Everything took forever. 745 on a Saturday night- Left at 10. Over an hour waiting for pasta and burgers. Party of 6. Drinks were good but service was slow. We would have a had a few more drinks but actually gave up and just wanted our food. Plates looked good but were mediocre. Not hot, unmelted Mac and cheese. This was our second try and we won't be back.

Waited over an hour for food tonight. Pizza was cold, burger was cold. Only 1 order of onion rings instead of 2. Salad was to have dressing on the side, it came dressed.

I've been to Sammy Cohen's a total of four times over the past year. All four times I came away with the same impression. A good draught beer selection, average to below average service, sub-par food. Doubt I'll be back a fifth time.

Not much to share!! Hostess barley greeted us, half wiped off a table & left it wet. Waited over 10 minutes to get our drinks. Waitstaff has no ambition. We decided to cash out & leave.

My daughter said the Cobb salad was delicious and the reviews on the pizza were mixed. Sad to say I am not really impressed and will not order from here again. 😔

The seafood in the cup of seafood chowder was rubbery, and overcooked. I ordered the cottage pie, but could not easily distinguish what was corn, and what was smashed potato. The demi glaze didn't quite work in the dish, as it was way too acidic. My guest had the brisket patty melt, but the brisket she got in her sandwich had a really big lump of fat in the middle, and was just a mess. Any attempt she made to reconstruct the sandwich was unsuccessful as it was just a greasy mess. The french fries were lacking any potato flavor, and tasted like unsalted fryer oil. Not happy at all with the overall quality of the food. I feel like quality control was lacking. We left most of our meal on the plate, and just wanted to leave. I feel like there are better options within a few hundred yards of this place.

I'm not sure what happened the pizza used to be good here . I won't buy pizza from here again. Frozen pizza from a grocery store is better.
