So friendly, clean & welcoming. If you order delivery they arrive in half the time of a normal delivery service. Best sushi in the area as well! Thumbs up.

This is my favorite restaurant and they are the best sushi/Japanese restaurant in this area (as well as Sushi Tei on Western Ave. Albany). The food are all delicious and you should try their Kani salad, they make the best. Like other people say, the owners are super friendly as soon as you walk in they make you feel at home! Highly recommend!

Outstanding sushi and service! I've eaten sushi at dozens of different locations, this place is crowned champion in my eyes. The prices are very reasonable ($8.64 for two sushi rolls and a bowl of miso soup for lunch), and the staff is very polite and talkative! I've found my new go-to sushi bar!

It's a small but cozy restaurant. Consistently good food. I am never disappointed whenever I order something new. Entree portions are larger in my opinion. If I order an appetizer and an entree, I usually have to take half of the entree home. The hostess is super genuinely nice and every time I eat here it is a lovely experience.

My new favorite sushi spot in the area. The fish is always so fresh and the owners recognize all of their guests. There aren't many tables inside, but they do have a sushi bar. You are given complimentary spring rolls when you sit and oranges before you leave. Lots to offer from their menu. Literally ditching all the other places now.

Tried Mizu for the first time last week and I think it's our new favorite Japanese restaurant in the Capital District. Portion sizes were good and the food was fantastic. We took a chance on an appetizer of baby lobster tempura and it turned out to be awesome; tasty little bites with a spicy sauce drizzled on top. We had a few rolls, all of which were delicious. Prices were on par with other Japanese restaurants in the area, and the waitstaff was very friendly and attentive.

My wife and I had been looking for a reasonably priced sushi bar. This is it. It's small (maybe 5 tables) so probably not suited for large groups. But seating will accommodate an average family and is more than adequate for a date night. The food and service are excellent. It's tucked away in a small strip mall so not obvious from the street. (Use a GPS).

I only wish I had pics to show the fine dining experience I always have here. I'm always greeted with joy. The quality of every meal is high, and the seafood, both sashimi and cooked, is absolutely delicious. I absolutely love the sashimi, as well as the beef tamaki, edamame and seaweed salad. I work right around the corner and never knew this was here. I am very happy i found it.Don't let the size fool you They pump out some amazing food. The service is great and they have some of the best sushi, if not the best, in the area. Their lunch specials are great and they have such a variety. I will recommend this to anyone looking for good Japanese cuisine.

I order from here once a month or so. The sushi is always fresh and very tasty. However, the owners are why I keep going back here. They are incredibly pleasant and if my order isn’t ready they always give me water or tea while I wait. You don’t find a lot of places like this anymore.

We've gone to this restaurant 4 times and everytime it exceeds our expectations. The sushi is the highest quality in the capital region. A small, quiet place with attentive service. Love the shrimp tempura! And love spending 1/3 of the money compared to the other high-grade sushi places in the area. Try the Spicy Crunchy Scallop roll for $6. And the Lobster Tempura roll melts in your mouth!

We have been going to Mizu since it opened a decade ago. We love the proprietors (the BEST I have ever experienced) and the food is fantastic (and we've tried just about everything on the menu over the years). My wife is Japanese (she's lived 80% of her life in Japan) and would eat there every night of the week if we could afford it (and so would I).

Really enjoyed lunch at Mizu. My wife and I ordered seaweed salad, seafood soup, sunomono, and several sushi rolls. Everything was excellent. Portions were generous, especially the fish, compared to other local sushi restaurants, and the fish was very high quality and fresh. Service was great. Our server was friendly and attentive, food came out promptly. I appreciated several nice touches like the free spring roll mini-appetizer and the Japanese bubble gum that came with the check. I was genuinely impressed with the quality of my experience at Mizu and I will definitely be back.

Great hidden gem!! Went in for a take out order. Restaurant has a very nice atmosphere and looked very clean. The staff were personable and professional. I ordered three spicy crab rolls and edamame. All four items were very fresh and tasted fantastic. Will definitely try sit down and some other rolls and food next visit.

We hired Mizu to make us a several platters of sushi rolls for our wedding. They did an amazing job, everything was ready to go when we got there to pick it up. Everything was set-up beautifully in the containers. Our guests loved the sushi amd had eaten the trays clean. I recommend using them for events it was a great experience.

Delicious take-out in a reasonable amount of time! I got the sweet potato rolls and the lobster tempura rolls , as well as a miso soup and a sesame chicken . All of this was delicious! Especially considering the fact they were closing within the hour! Great food, communication was great too, price clearly stated and all-in-all a satisfying experience. 5/5 will definitely be returning, with friends!!

My dining companion and I were looking for a place to eat after running an errand and Google maps and great reviews led us to Mizu Sushi. Had the complimentary mini egg rolls to start before moving on the gyozas and two rolls - Ninja and Fuji Volcano. All were excellent. A cold Tsingtao beer, a hot sake and friendly and efficient service added to a wonderful lunch. Highly recommend this hidden gem. 10/10.

A wonderful little gem tucked in off State Street. It's at the back of a little mall and well worth finding. Has a great take out service, but dining in is a happy experience. Great prices and well prepared items that won't disappoint. They are great with little extras too, like a few complimentary treats and peeled orange at the end. My family loves it there.

If anyone has a problem with this place, THEY are the issue and not the workers. I have stopped twice, unplanned-driving through, and both times have been amazing. The service is amazing, the food is wonderful and they are so thoughtful. Everything seems to be made in house and fresh. It almost feels like we are guests at their house for a meal. Warm, inviting, and attentive.

The family owned and operated restaurant is a delight when you want a quiet meal. They are most accommodating with specific requests and as often as l have gone there with friends, they always get the orders right! It is an intimate restaurant and we've never had to ask that the background music be turned down, which is a super+ in my book!

Mizu is hands-down the best sushi spot in the capital district. The staff are so personable, attentive and friendly. The food is prepared promptly and served consistently fresh and delicious every time. I’ve never had an “off” experience. I can know that every time I order sushi here (about once a week on average), that it will be exactly like last time. The presentation is classy, as is the cozy atmosphere. I can say honestly that I have eaten here more than any restaurant, and I don’t plan on that changing any time soon. My family and I have a tradition to eat lunch here every Christmas Eve. We drive over a half hour to do just that, and I would drive an hour for it. I’m particular about sushi, and this should get more than five stars if that were an option, in my book. HIGHLY recommend. You will not be disappointed.

Super cute place! We went to celebrate my birthday on Friday and the staff was extremely kind and welcoming. The food was delicious (I got the gyoza, veggie roll, and Ton-Katsu curry), and we had a great night. I will definitely returning.

Smells amazing in restaurant but it is too small so I ordered take out. Teh cashier was very nice. The food was very decent and delicious...good portions...I was impressed for a hole-in-the-wall the wall looking joint. I will be going back soon maybe day before Thanksgiving !

Food was fresh and AMAZING. They give complimentary spring roll in the beginning and complimentary oranges at the end. I got the avocado salad so fresh, the Ninja roll fresh and tons of meat, my bf got fried rice with shrimp. It was loaded with little shrimp and had cashews and raisins which sounds weird but it added perfect flavor and texture oh my gosh so delicious. Atmosphere is also great and great service. This is definitely our new spot.

Got the unagi don lunch special. Really enjoyed it, it came with a little bit of seaweed salad on top with a dash of tobiko which came with soup and a spring roll. Good price for tasty food. My kid got the beef stir fried noodle and it has good wok “flame” flavor.

Mizu, is a small restaurant but the flavors are anything but. I just had a simple tuna roll, gyoza, and the lunch special chicken katsu, with a salmon roll instead of the California roll. All the fish was wonderful and the forefront of the sushi. The Katsu was crispy and perfect. 10/10 would recommend 👌

We were surprised at home close this place was to home. Inside, we found an intimate setting, 4-6 tables and a small bar. The overhead lighting was very pleasant, and dining are felt comfortable, cozy, and clean. Their food options had a wide variety of options, and our order arrived quickly. The host was extremely kind and friendly, she took our order and read it right back without taking notes. Her impressive menu knowledge made ordering very easy. We ordered and received fried oyster, shumai, miso, sushi, and fresh edamame, which came steamed and salted well. We crushed the whole order. It was really tasty:) TL;DR small place, fresh food, great service, nice change from other food options in the area.

We ate there today and the food was great! Fresh, delicious, and plentiful! We had the appetizers (gyoza, shumai, harymaki) and sushi platter and yaki udon. The restaurant is cozy and intimate. Service was exceptional. And the prices are fair for the amount of food you get. I would definitely go back. There aren’t many restaurants where you can actually tell that the food was made fresh. Nice, small restaurant with amazing food that deserves all the stars!!!

Ordered food to go for work. Reasonably priced and the sushi roll plus crab Rangoon that I ate was delicious! Can't really speak about service and atmosphere since I got it to go, but my food was ready when they said it would be and sometime greeted me with a smile when I picked it up.

Picked up some take out. Everything was done on time and order was correct. Everything was delicious and i ended up with enough for leftovers the next day. Both my daughter and I enjoyed our meals. I had chicken teriyaki. Also the veggie tempura. My daughter had noodles and she enjoyed.

I've only ordered sushi and gyoza to go and we like it every time. We have not had a dine-in experience because I think it's a little bit small but others seem to be enjoying themselves just fine eating there.

Was in the mood to try someplace different for my roll fix. Plus my daughter (who rarely eats this kind of food) and my grand princess (who is now fixated with California rolls with no avocado) wanted food too. I ordered a house salad - the dressing was really thick. It tastes ok but because of the thickness was hard to get all on the salad - 7/10 Spicy rock shrimp - cooked well - spicy mayo was definitely spicy - 10/10. Shrimp tempura roll - I asked for no avocado. I ate the first two pieces and wondered why they tasted different - welp apparently it was made with avocado so I couldn't eat the rest. 4/10 Spicy crab roll - it was good - kind of tasty. Normally I ask for soy paper but I forgot so that was my bad. 7/10 All of the portions were nice as well as the presentation. I must say this was the first sushi I had take out that actually made the drive home and was still like it was just made. May give it a try again.

Had sushi sashimi combo. I get this type combo at most sushi restaurants and thus have a good basis for comparison. Fish was correct temperature. Rice had correct texture/moisture. They were busy but managed to keep it together with seemingly short staff. I'd return.

Ordered sushi from this place two days ago had good ratings so I took a chance. Got the order pretty quickly , but the sushi were small and thin about half the size of a usual sushi roll which really annoys me, there was not enough pickled ginger for all the rolls but plenty of green horseradish aka wasabi which I don't understand equal portions equivalent to the meal should have been given but this has been happening at many sushi restaurants especially when you get delivery. you pay the same price or more but you get less for your money. 😤🤬

Ordered the hibachi chicken dinner…. Terrible…. Huge pieces of chicken huge pieces of vegetables tons of celery… hibachi is usually diced beautifully so easily edible no need for cutting it all…. But my favorite part is they served me white rice🤣🤣 I don’t know if you’ve ever been to hibachi dinner, but the presentation is all about the egg and fried rice to serve it with white rice is disrespectful and shows that they don’t care about customers they just wanna cut cost… also served with a terrible peanut sauce why would I want peanut sauce…. I think it takes like 6+ years to be a hibachi chef..: this guy had about 6 to 12 minutes training…2 out of 10… worth about 10 bucks not 20+… what a joke do not eat here it’s a rip off it’s like fake hibachi…

Would give zero stars if i could. I made a $30 sushi order fordelivery. This is what i got. Eight pieces of tiny sush with barely any meat. Biggest rip off ive ever purchased in my life.

I never thought I would ever be giving this place 1 star, but I am disappointed. I’ve been coming here for years and always had an amazing experience, but earlier this week I experienced food poisoning. That same night I ate a spicy crab roll, I experienced food poisoning symptoms which lasted two days. Sadly, I will not be returning here. It’s a shame that the quality of the food has gone downhill.

I didn't get anything to crazy got lunch two rolls spicy California roll and salmon roll then we order blossom roll to share..we ate and left as soon as i got in my car i was a mess stomach hurt etc it was bad. Which has never happened before i been to sushi places all over for years i love sushi and have never experienced what has happen to me after i ate there..
