Back in June, my husband and I visited Ocean 44 to celebrate my birthday and our late anniversary, and it was an experience we won’t forget! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was calm and elegant, and our hostess, Amanda, went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and cared for. We were seated in the heart of the main dining room, right where we could see into the kitchen, and it was such a treat. Watching the team expertly prepare meals, with waiters effortlessly carrying trays above their heads, and seeing everyone smile and enjoy their work—it was like living a scene straight out of Ratatouille! The energy and attention to detail were mesmerizing. The food was, of course, absolutely incredible. Every dish was prepared to perfection. As a special touch for my birthday, they brought out a lovely tiramisu with a candle, which made the night even more memorable. If you’re looking for an unforgettable dining experience for a special occasion, Ocean 44 is the place. The service, food, everything - were incredible, making it a true experience in every sense. Highly recommend!

My boyfriend and I had a great experience dining. Oysters are always a favorite. I tried both east and west coast and loved the taste and dips with it. The rolls were delicious and the seafood was fresh to the taste. The food was exceptional. I already am looking forward to my return.

The service was excellent, the branzino was cooked perfectly, and the atmosphere felt really romantic. The only thing I’d change is the music since 80s hits didn’t quite match the vibe.

Had dinner here yesterday around 6:30. Very nice place with friendly staff. Love the ambiance. Dark and gives off romantic vibes. I've been in once before but only had a cocktail and one appetizer that time since I didn't want to eat too much before going out with the girls that time. Our order: Sparkling water $10 Cucumber Guava cocktail $17 Extra Dirty Martini w/ blue cheese olives x2 (comped) Blue Point Oysters 1/2 dozen $30 Hawaiian Yellowtail Crudo $38 Little Neck Clams $32 My drink was good. I subbed it with rum instead of vodka. Oysters weren't bad. It came with 5 different sauces plus a mini green and red Tobasco. I mainly used the horseradish, vinaigrette, and whatever the green one is! Little Neck Clams were a bit gritty so we didn't finish that and they comped his 2 drinks for it. The Hawaiian Yellowtail Crudo was amazing!! I could eat like 5 orders of those. He got sick of seafood and started craving a burger so we ended up not ordering entrees here. I felt bad for our waitress because we were unsure on entrees but she was patient and checked back on us often. Excellent service! I also had the pleasure of meeting the manager (GM?), Stephen, this time because they knew each other. Real nice guy! I would try the Sea Bass next time!

I was visiting from Lahore Pakistan. The steak were awesome and the starters were excellent. The dessert was delicious. The quality of Beef steak was excellent. It was one of my Best steak I ever had. My Sister in Scottsdale took me and wife for a Dinner. The service was excellent and the people were elegant. Strongly recommended 👌

What a great dinner location! The food is very delicious and very filling. The portions are quite large so splitting is a good idea. Our staff were helpful and gave some good recommendations. All the food below was amazing and I loved the meat selections. I hope to comeback soon.

Outstanding!!!!! Service was fantastic above and beyond by all stretches. Our server really did a fantastic job with us. We never felt rushed at all. We had a cocktail before ordering the tequila old fashioned was delicious. The Oysters Rockefeller were so good. All four of us were happy with our meals. The Branzino was the big winner of the night. My wife had the salmon, and our friends had the tuna (cooked perfectly rare) and the scallops. The wines our server paired with our food worked masterfully. The dessets were a very nice surprise for us as well. Now, it is expensive as all get out, but it was definitely worth every penny spent. Not one of us in our party thought it was overpriced. We all thought it was just delicious, the best meal we had while visiting Scotsdale.

Came here Friday night, last minute. We're able to grab resos for two. Got the hot seafood tower and a 22oz steak. Food and service were amazing! Might be one of the best steakhouses I've been to. The seafood tower was delicious and well done. The steak was crispy and perfectly seared on the outside but juicy and moist inside. Probably the best restaurant I went to in Phoenix.

We began with the clam chowder, which was exquisite—it was creamy and full of rich flavor, featuring perfectly sized pieces of clam. The Pacific yellowtail hamachi was equally impressive, offering a fresh, flavorful start. The centerpiece, the 45-day dry-aged ribeye, was nothing short of superb—cooked with masterful precision to be succulent and deeply flavorful. The New York strip was also tender and juicy. Our appetizers included the deliciously seasoned crispy shrimp. Among the sides, the corn crème brûlée was an absolute must-try; its decadent sweetness and velvety texture were utterly divine. The only minor misstep was the lobster slider, which was unfortunately a bit arid. To cap off the meal, the complementary desserts were a delicious and thoughtful gesture, bringing our dining experience to a perfect close. In sum, Ocean 44 offers a luxurious and high-caliber experience. The exceptional quality of the seafood and steaks, the divine sides, and the unparalleled service make it a premier destination for any discerning palate.

We dined at the bar as a party of two. It was a wonderful experience. Impressive wine list. The hamachi & octopus appetizers were my favorite. Sally was our server and she is fabulous. We had a few different courses and the meal was paced perfectly. Great place to go for a date night or special event.

Visiting from North East Ohio celebration my son's 41st birthday! We had a large party and only 1 waiter who did a fantastic job with taking care of us! The ambiance, dimmed lights, good 🎵 🎶, TV's over the bar-yes we watched the UM and Ole Miss bowl game while dinning. I guess I haven't been out with a large party but putting everyones order on one bill without disclosure upfront is a little disappointing. However, overall great experience!

The best experience for my birthday! Our server Nicole was amazing, she is incredibly knowledgeable and helped us have the best dining experience, we picked an off menu NY strip steak that was to die for! They gave me a hand written card for my birthday and even followed up with a phone call to thank us for joining on my birthday! It is expensive, but worth every penny for the food and experience, especially if you want something special for the special occasion! Most definitely will be back!

Ocean 44 has a great balance of service, atmosphere and food. The staff are well trained and follow up on every detail needed for a great dinner. they create a relaxed atmosphere in allow everyone to just enjoy their experience. It’s a great place to visit every time we are in the area.

Grabbed dinner with a friend, and it was his first time at Ocean 44. He truly loved the food so much that it reminded me of the first time I ate there. It truly is one of the best restaurants in the valley overall and it leads by the food that comes out of the kitchen. We had a great meal and outstanding service

Decadent and savory bites wrapped with a comforting presence provided by staff. Certainly a must if you are vacationing or craving innovative seafood options; highly recommend the Maine Lobster Escargot and the Crispy Shrimp appetizers. A brilliant take on typical seafood dishes!

We came in from out of town to visit family and they took us here. I know this is a place where you should probably order seafood but steak is too good to pass up for me. I ordered the NY strip and I’ll say it was one of the better steaks I’ve had in a long time! Our service was great too, the servers were very attentive to us and always made sure we had what we needed. The restaurant also has a great atmosphere. I recommend it!

Nice place for dinner amazing filet and they have an extensive seafood menu!!! We all loved the intimacy of this restaurant and everything about it was lovely. The waitstaff offered excellent service, they met every need for my loved birthday I would definitely recommend!!

Oceans44 has been my favorite since it opened. Everytime I dine in no matter the time or seating area my experience is amazing. I celebrated my birthday at oceans and I was so surprised by the thoughtful details our staff put into the experience. I had a beatiful evening thanks to your entire team from service to food it was my perfect evening.

We were celebrating my birthday today! Everything was perfect. The food delicious, atmosphere beautiful and intimate, and the service was top notch/perfect. Brandon, Chad, and Cody were awesome. This is my favorite restaurant for a reason, it never disappoints.

A remarkable dining experience and worth the price. We had a party of 12 and the service was extraordinary in both approach and accuracy - Evany did a wonderful job managing us and making sure everything was exquisite and it was. Lindsay, behind the bar, was a joy and provided a great welcome to our group as we met. I sampled a bit of everything. The Austrian grass fed strip steak was probably one of the best steaks I’ve ever had anywhere. The seafood appetizers of shrimp and calamari were magnificent. Highly recommended to dine here for groups of any size.

Such a wholesome and elegant experience. We were part of corporate dine in group and the place surpassed my expectations. The place is 10/10 on ambience (elegant and yet seems full of life and active) , they have managed to hire some really good staff, they treat you like customers as if they are owners, trying to make everything right for you. We were group of 16 still never felt that my water was not refilled for more than few seconds. Their attention to detail is immaculate. Now the food, though the place is known for Sea Food, I am red meat guy and had to go for steak. The steak was well cooked, their domestuc Wagyu are worth as much if not more in value than Japanese imported ones. For people looking to get taste flavor and texture, order medium rare with warm center and red throughout, they are able to achieve it. @Team Ocean 44: you exceeded my expectations, thank you for fantastic service and food.

Ever had a WOW top shelf experience at a restaurant? Ocean 44 was like that. I think it was their careful attention to detail, like calling to confirm the day before while we were hiking on Cathedral Rock. Yes, we had reception up there! Our appetizer, chicken fried lobster tails, that was somebody slap me GOOD. I had the very yummy linguini and clams for dinner, the birthday boy had branzino. Our table was next to the glassed enclosed kitchen, it was waaaaay cool to watch the kitchen action in real time. I can’t forget the very attentive staff and waitstaff, I loved the whole experience.

Delicious is all I can say!! Wow everything is amazing!!! The crab legs, the filet, the corn brûlée and the KEY lime pie with key lime caviar take the win!!! We will be back

Super high end seafood restaurant. Super nice. I ordered everything on the menu. Just kidding but I wanted to. Donovan was a great server. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Beautiful restaurant and delicious food. The staff goes out of their way to ensure it's truly a relaxing experience. Also, the presentation of your food by the wait staff is also superb! I highly recommend if you're in the mood for amazing seafood!

The service here is nothing short of incredible. We celebrated a special occasion and the entire staff, from the hosts, servers, even the GM of the entire restaurant, went out of their way to make our night memorable and special. Their above and beyond commitment to making every dining experience excellent is not lost on us! The food is incredible. Steaks cooked perfect. Seafood to die for. Awesome cocktails and very thorough wine list. The walnut old fashioned is one of the best I’ve ever had. By a mile the best fine dining restaurant in Scottsdale. I can’t recommend Ocean 44 enough. Thank you again to the outstanding staff.

My husband took me here for my birthday and it was the most amazing dining experience. Staff from hostess to services were professional and you could tell they truly love their job. What I notice first is while it is a seafood restaurant and did not have the typical fish smell, everything is was so clean and organized. Most importantly the food was amazing, considering it being a busy Saturday evening we didn’t have to wait long. I also loved that in the entrance you could see the cooks working.

Ask about the tables with kitchen view if you want quiet. The area is completely separate from the main dining area. It's like walking into a solitude of quiet. The main dining area is great if you want action and people watching, but if you're with someone who you want to actually hear, ask about these tables. Loved it.

I am amazed. Just thrown for a loop for how amazing it is. The food quality, the quantity, the ambiance, the presentation and the attention to detail from the staff was simply incredible. We celebrated my Fathers 65th birthday and Retirement. His glass was never empty. All his questions were answered and all requests were provided. Brandon our waiter especially was incredible and attentive to us this night. This is definitely a place we will return again soon.

The atmosphere is elegant but still warm and welcoming, making every visit feel special. The staff deserves special mention — they’re incredibly knowledgeable and attentive. I have a dairy allergy, and they’re always careful, helpful, and fully informed, from the server to the food runner. That level of care makes such a difference. It’s truly a joy to dine here, and the follow-up call after your visit to ensure your experience was top-notch is such a thoughtful touch. Ocean 44 is one of my absolute favorites!

Me and mybwife had a great time on our anniversary. We choose to just try a bunch of things instead of just ordering entrees. Everything was perfect, from great service to the food. Their wine list is also top notch. We will be back for sure next time we are in Scotsdale.

We celebrated our anniversary at Ocean 44 this past weekend and let me tell you what a wonderful experience that was. The ambience is beautiful, was a little thrown off by the music as the 80s and 90s hits were playing (no complaints here as we loved it). I was just expecting "stiffer" music choices based on the atmosphere of the place. I wouldn't change that aspect at all as someone who doesn't partake in fine dinning experiences often, this made me feel less out of place and allowed me to be more relaxed. Now let's move on to the service. Our waiter Greg was just the sweetest and walked us through every aspect of the menu and had wonderful suggestions. The food was phenomenal. My husband and still raved about it today. Is the restaurant pricey, yes. Was it worth it, absolutely. We will definitely be back.

This was our first time at Oceans 44. We went to celebrate Ed's birthday. The entire experience was nothing short of amazing. The service was great, the food was amazing, the entire experience was more than I expected. The staff is very friendly and more than accommodating. The food was cooked to perfection. We had a lot of leftovers to enjoy for a couple of days Highly recommend this restaurant. You will not be disappointed.

Celebrated my hubby B-Day here. The customer service was really nice and the atmosphere was good too. Maybe some soft music could have been playing. The waiter extremely professional. They clear the table so fast to get things ready for the next dish and give you these warm towels with this lovely rosemary scent to clean your hands. Let’s get into the food. The presentation is okay, the steak was cooked well done but a lil too hard, no juices. The Rockefeller oysters were okay but definitely missing something. I had better. The shrimp devil eggs were good. The lobster was good too but salty. The best part for us was the sweet potato side dish. Scallops were good too. I try and give them another shot.

I was told by a friend that Arizona doesn't really have any good seafood options and so I am happy to report that Ocean 44 really defies that sentiment. Overall I am very pleased with my experience and enjoyed my meal. The service is top notch and the food was excellent. If you are looking for a date night, a night out, or just want to have guaranteed good seafood then look no further than Ocean 44. Couple of notes for future diners: Ocean 44 offers complimentary Valet parking. The restaurant is very busy even at 6pm for dinner so reserve early and keep to your reservation! There is an extensive alcohol menu with many different whiskies and many different wine options. Get the grilled octopus, don't even question it. If you enjoy people watching, ask for a center table.

We were excited about Ocean 44 as we wanted to go to a fancier new seafood restaurant to try while we were in Scottsdale. This place definitely fit the bill on fancy and new, but unfortunately lacked on the quality seafood. We ordered a customized cold raw shellfish items ($319) including king crab legs ($52 for 1/2 lbs), colossal shrimps ($78 - $13/shrimp x 6), and seasonal crab claws ($189 - $63/claw x 3 claws). The colossal shrimps were dried up (didn’t taste fresh), king crab legs had no flavor and were definitely on the skinnier side, and the outrageous cost crab claws were meaty but no taste and flaky dry. We had cold raw seafood towers all over the world and Ocean 44’s quality did not meet our expectations. Also, our server, although attentive and nice, but did not inform us that the crab claws were $63/each! If we would’ve known, we would not had ordered 3! Their sea bass dinner plate, which we got, was less than one crab claw! 🤦🏻‍♂️ Also, I don’t recommend the “Back Dinner Bar Top” seating in the bar area. This is the round bar high tables in the bar area and I got bumped by servers, bus personals, and other customers so many times that two separate managers came by to see if I was OK. Then finally one of the manager actually had to move our round high top table inward more during our dinner to attempt avoiding more bumping. All in all, glad we came and experienced this place, felt fancy & good to be there, the service was decent so I did tip her $150 on our $700 total bill, but the seafood and our seating were substandard for the price spent. Update: GM Stephen reached out to discuss my experiences and I really appreciated his gesture. The way he handled himself showed that Ocean 44 as a company cared about for their reputation and brand. Will return to give them another shot in the future.

Food: All the dishes were cooked perfectly and tasted good. However, no dish was a standout. I was looking for more unique flavors but it wasn’t anything that I haven’t tasted before. But again, everything was very good. Service: Amazing! Everyone was so attentive and kind. Ambiance: Love the open kitchen concept and high-end decor. There’s also options for more private booths which is nice if you don’t want background noise and a more intimate dinner.

It was ... okay. Our waiter made the best wine suggestion for the branzino. I've had better branzino to be honest. The chicken fried lobster tails - meh. It was just deep dried and no seasoned taste. The Chilean Sea Bass was amazing. We were disappointed with the dessert.menu. Will return? No. But I'm sure others will enjoy because it's a beautiful restaurant.

Everyone was very accommodating and the restaurant has a great atmosphere. The seafood was ok as was the steaks. I was really expecting better for the price. The beef was grass fed but the waiter really didn't know how it was finished. I don't think it was finished with COB or wine. If it was the taste would have been better. We get our beef at home from a ranch in northern Arizona and it's hard to beat. We had a party of 6 and we did have a good dining experience.
