Totally enjoyed our restaurant week dinner tonight. We came up from Houston to join friends for dinner. Savannah gave us great service and great suggestions. Good food with generous portions. We will definitely be back.

Had dinner here last night to enjoy Houston Restaurant weeks. Savannah was our server and she was great! The timing on the 4 course dinner was perfect! As always, the food was fresh and delicious and presented well. If you haven't been, you need to go.

Our server was Maze and she was very knowledgeable about the menu, and made the whole experience wonderful. The food was amazing, my favorite was the goat cheese salad. I’m looking forward to coming back! Maze convinced us to come for Restaurant month in August. Can’t wait!

This was our first time to visit. Our server, Maze was phenomenal!! I’d come back just to interact with her, but luckily, the food was just as outstanding!! Bryan also came by our table outside, another top notch employee!! And they have a reverse happy hour. Clay was behind the bar and took care of our after dinner libations.

Hidden gem, we went tonight and loved the atmosphere and food. We had a ton of appetizers half price during happy hour. We had satay, egg rolls, corn cakes, dragon fire dumplings plus the cheese and crab rolls. All were in point. My beautiful bride was not overly wild over the corn cakes. They were good not great but EVERYTHING else was superb. The peanut sauce was amazing. We will be back for entrees. Can’t wait to try the Panang Curry. Pedro and Desiree did an amazing job taking care of us. Atmosphere is amazing. We will be back.

My wife and I shared a memorable dinner last Friday. Jimmy, our waiter, was attentive and very informative about the menu. The pad Thai was delicious and the vibe was very cool. We can't wait to visit again. If you haven't tried Merlion, then you are missing out.

If I could give this place 10 stars I would!!! We had the absolute BEST sever Shaye! The best we’ve ever received at a restaurant! Shaye knew the menu so well and every item she suggested was perfect! We were there to celebrate many milestones such a birthdays, anniversary, and engagement and Merlion did not disappoint!! But what truly made this dining experience stand out was the exceptional service we received from Shaye. From the get-go, Shaye's attentiveness was remarkable; seemed to anticipate our needs before we even voiced them. She described each dish with such enthusiasm and detail that I couldn't help but trust her recommendations and so glad we did! She went above and beyond to make us feel like a valued guests creating an atmosphere of genuine hospitality that's hard to find these days. So started with shrimp in the mussel sauce along with the French bread! Oh my word it was amazing! Then on to Kao Pad with sirloin and seared snapper with raad prick! All the dishes were just amazing. This was by far one of the BEST dining experiences we have ever had! Food was great but Shaye was a gem and she was stellar! Before we book we want to make sure she’s there and asked to be seated in her section. We highly recommend this restaurant. We will be back!

My wife and I and two other couples, had dinner at Merlion Thai restaurant in Seabrook. Our server was Michael. This was my first Thai food experience and we decided to go during Houston Restaurant Weeks. For my first course I had the CHICKEN SATAY KABOBS which were chicken skewers served with peanut sauce. My wife had Lobster and goat cheese stuffed dumplings, garnished with avocados and topped with pineapple curry sauce. For the second course I had PAD MED MAMMUANG (STIR-FRY CASHEWS) which were Hoisen based sauce sautéed with mushrooms, onions, snow peas, water chestnuts and cashews. My wife had KANG KARI (YELLOW CURRY) which is Thai yellow curry with curry powder, potatoes, onions and cashews, with a hint of cumin, turmeric and cinnamon. My dessert was Coconut sweet sticky rice topped with fresh chopped strawberries. My wife had Cheesecake topped with mango puree. We also shared a bottle of Nine Hats Red Blend. I had asked the server to bring out extra spice on the side. The food was delicious. I did add some of the spice to the stir fry cashew and it really added some heat. The restaurant was very busy and the wait staff was clearly over worked. Michael was extremely friendly however we did have to wait a fairly lengthy amount of time for our first course and again for our check. I did not mark down for this since it was clearly not the server's fault, however I mention it because customers should adjust their expectations if there is a crowd, at least until the restaurant can adjust its number of staff. All in all we really enjoyed our first Thai meal at Merlion and we will definitely return.

Staff are friendly but food comes out very slow. Be prepared to wait for 30-40mins for anything come out of kitchen and you have to catch a bartender to make sure it is put in the system and is coming. Font on menu is not suitable in the dark bar setting, it makes reading menu very very difficult. Parking is very difficult. No parking spot anywhere at the building, and I had to park far away and walk there.

It was happy hour, but only for the outside or the bar, not for the rest of the tables. I have never heard that before, i have had better Thai food in other places.

Had a 6pm reservation, appetizers came pretty quick but then service just went down from there. We had a party of 8 but it took 2 hours for us to receive our food. We had another reservation for 8:15 and we ended up paying for our food before it even arrived. No discount offered or anything. What little food we did get to eat before getting boxes was good but the service was very disappointing for a birthday.

this used to be the best restaurant in Seabrook but as of about a year ago it is not anymore. I think the owner/chef died and the food quality is just suffered tremendously since then but the prices have stayed the same which are high. when the food was in tip top shape under the previous chef/owner the prices were absolutely worth it. everything was delicious. now I would skip it also, this restaurant has an identity crisis because it's main dining area surrounds the bar area in sort of a horseshoe configuration and on the weekends especially at night. the bar area tries to be like a nightclub with strobing lights and very loud music too loud to dine and have a conversation and the ambiance of the dining area suffers because of it

We saw this "Thai restaurant" on Google and thought we'd stop in for dinner with the family. There was a weird vibe when we got there, so we asked if kids were allowed. We were reluctantly told to "just make sure they stay quiet and dont bother anybody" so we turned around and left. Haven't been back.

I was really looking forward to trying the Chicken Satay, it’s a favorite dish. Theirs was not very good at all, chicken was large chunks or tiny bits with varying degrees of doneness. The sauce was basically peanut butter warmed in a microwave, and very skimpy in volume. Dry and lacking any kind of thought, flavor, or anything really that was enjoyable. I didn’t even bother going for a main dish. Wouldn’t go back.

My wife wanted to take me here as there was a dish she really liked. I ordered three of the special appetizers... I would not recomend any of them, 3 of the 4 dishes literally tasted like they had the same sauce(with more or less cream) Very disappointing, to the fact that my wife kept apologizing of how bad the food was. I ordered the raw sushi grade tuna appetizer, it came on a bed of HOT rice. ?!?! Why would any "chef" allow raw tuna to be put with hot rice?? Are they trying to cook it,or get me sick,with the improper temperature. The Lobster dumplings ,to put it lightly looked like baby throw up,we couldn't even decider the "dumplings" from the sauce,as they were drenched. The Lobster Goat cheese filling was, well just Goat cheese,not sure what part was lobster at all... I was really looking forward to these,but was 100% let down. My wife infact she said, they just used the same sauce as my main meal that's coming out, so thats disappointing.

We were charged $125 for a Drunken noodle special dish which supposedly had 5 thin slices of "Wagyu" and lobster which was not even in the dish! It was definitely not wagyu, overcooked slices of beef maybe. We did not notice until we got home and a friend looked at the receipt...so check your receipt! I have never had an entree for $125 unless it was at a Michelin star...and it was definitely NOT. Everything was super salty so we did not finish most of the entrees. The waitress and service were great but definitely not worth $500 for the amount and quality of food served (we didn't even order any cocktails or drinks). Would never go back just seemed we got scammed so not a great experience!
