It's a basic Texas menu. What is special about this place is the quality of what they serve. Everything was cooked right, from our fried eggs with thick bacon to the grits and chicken fried steak. The buttermilk pie we finished with was exceptional! Quality truly Texas food.

We are dinner at Tony's. Which we ordered breakfast for dinner. My husband ordered actual dinner. They have a great variety to choose from and it's all good sized portions, we had a to go box. Our waitress was helpful and friendly. It is definitely home style cooking and atmosphere. The booth seats are pretty worn and looks like maybe kids have torn them up. But I never once heard anyone complain. Tony's also has a variety of pies and desserts! Definitely go while in town.

We had chicken fried chicken, salad, burger and chicken strips. Cheryl, our waitress, was very professional, friendly and attentive.She always had a smile on her face and because of how she treated us, we will be back. Great Hometown, Homemade, Comfort Food Restaurant in the Heart of Sealy, Tx. just off I-10 on Tx 6. The staff are friendly and the food is hot, fresh and cooked to order. They have a huge dining room with both counter and table service. They also have a private room in the back for large groups. The food is delicious and hopefully you save room for a slice of one of their homemade pies, at least a half dozen to choose. Plenty of parking and hard to miss the huge sign at the corner. Excellent road side dinner. Really old school don't miss dessert display. Owner was present and proud. It shows in the food and service. Had the Mexican food plate. Reminded me of dove hunting in the valley. All the small town restaurants.

I had one of their Sunday specials, turkey and dressing, it was a very large portion, it came with 2 additional sides, however I just wanted the turkey/dressing:) it came out to my table quickly, and was nice and hot, and sooo delicious! Service was wonderful as well, my server, Dawn was absolutely amazing, attentive and very friendly! Tony, the owner came over shook my hand and visited briefly, nice man, who is obviously doing something right with his restaurant. I will always stop here when traveling through Sealy. I had already started eating when I took the pic🤪 oops! Sooo much turkey and dressing though, and it was not just big slices of processed meat, it was actual turkey.

You might not think much of it from just passing by because it is a very no frills and just basics exterior and interior but let me just stop you right there and share that omg this is just home cooking heaven. My husband drives semi trucks and this place is perfect for those traveling and need a place to eat early. We were seated around 10:50 and were able to get chicken fried steak and chicken fried chicken. The price is so cheap for how big the portions are and the food is super fresh and delicious. I will say I liked the chicken fried chicken better as it was more flavorful than the fried steak but still I was satisfied. The best part we're the creamy mashed potatoes. Best I've ever had! Also our server was super attentive and prompt and got us our food quickly. Please stop by if you're in the area you won't regret it.

This place was packed when we stopped by. We thought it was going to take too long or that there wouldn’t be any seats available, but we were able to seat ourselves. We didn’t wait long before the waitress came to greet us. She was friendly and polite. We ordered our food, and it came out fast. There was a solid, energetic man who stopped by twice to ask how we were doing. He was sweet, kind, and polite, and he was out there helping too. I’m not sure if he was the owner, but he was a very sweet man. We felt so welcome. It’s a very friendly place with a great atmosphere. The next time we pass by, we will definitely stop again. 😊

Good food, great staff, advertised as the best breakfast in Texas. Personally I wouldn't go that far. I had the Chorizo with Cheese 3 egg omelet and although good, it looked like a large tortilla folded over with a sparse sprinkling of Chorizo and cheese baked into it not folded in it. Very disappointing but still tasted good. Wife had pancakes whichever said we're ok.

Tony’s is an amazing family restaurant! It’s open for breakfast, lunch, & dinner. I have visited countless times over the years and I have never been disappointed! The portions are generous and the quality and clover of a home cooked meal are consistently good.

Great menu & great selection to choose from, for this restaurant being on the outskirts of town. The fish looked great the chicken friend steak was tasty and mashed potatoes tasted real. Didn't end up getting any but they had around 10 different pie options including some flavors I've never heard of. Will definitely stop here again on my way through town. Staff was friendly and welcoming enjoyed our lunch here & on top of everything it didn't cost and arm and a leg to feed my family here which is hard to find now a days. I love to support business' like this 🧡. They even had a raffle going on at the front counter.

Great food & fair prices. The chicken fried chicken breading was delicious, as was the gravy. The French Fries could have been crispier and the roll was a little stale but those things were minor. The green beans and yams (my husband’s side) were better than homemade! The bathrooms have been recently remodeled and I assume the very worn booth benches will be next. Wish we lived closer- we would be regulars.

The atmosphere is very welcoming. You seat yourself when you go in and a server is quick to get your drinks. They have been very attentive to our needs as far as refills and answering any questions about the menu. I love the food and would definitely recommend eating here. I spend about $50 including tip for two meals when I go but it could fluctuate depending on what you order. They also have cakes! Will definitely be visiting again!

We seated ourselves as the sign upon entering indicated. Promptly served drinks and menus. Opted for the chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and corn. Hubby had fried pork chops with mashed potatoes and corn. They came out so quickly I expected subpar. That wasn't the case. Hot, juicy, and flavorful. The pumpkin cheesecake to top it off was excellent. We had stellar service from beginning to end. The place was clean and being cleaned. Plenty of parking.

Just wanted to share about the item that I ordered off the menu last night which was the Greek Salad with Grilled Chicken Breast. This was soooo good! The salad was great but the way the chicken breast was seasoned and cooked was EXCELLENT. Our waitress said that she would tell the cook how pleased we were with how the dish was prepared. I found out that the cook was Donna and she is definitely an asset to Tony and Stacy.

Everything available here from Enchiladas, country breakfast to steaks and burgers. EVERY employee was attentive, kind, accommodating and smiling. Food cooked to order, served hot and fresh. I had chopped steak with a generously topped baked potato. Clean restaurant, clean restrooms. I recommend and will return.

We stopped here for brunch and it did not disappoint! I had breakfast, 2 eggs, toast, grits and French Toast. It was perfect! The French toast was so delicious. My husband had the chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes and corn with white gravy and a roll. I took a bite of his and again, it was delicious! Before we left, the owner came by and welcomed us. I love that he knew it was our first visit. This will be our new spot when traveling through Sealy.

I sat at the bar during lunch on Thursday and decided to try one of the specials…the fried pork chops. It came out as 2 pieces but they were THIN…all hope seemed lost. Not another dry shoe leather chop…well let me tell you something! They were just the right amount of juicyness and the flavor was soo big…it will slap the bad feelings right out of your SOUL! Combine it with the dark gravy here (that had mushrooms in it) and you have yourself some of the finest “accidental” Jeager Schnitzel I have ever had…a close 2nd to my Mamas of course! Sweet tea was fresh and Erica was an excellent server. My tea never went down past half a cup…which is a challenge if you know me ! Topped it off with a slice of pecan pie (delicious!) and I feel I can take on the world…again. Thanks Tony’s for the comfort food. It was just what I needed!

As a real estate broker we are always on the road. I was working out in Sealy and thought I would give this restaurant a try . It had fair reviews in an old shopping center but of course I love homemade meals and PIE. This place daily specials for under 12.00 includes the special two sides and a roll or cornbread . First time in I tried the fried catfish fillet dinner salad and green beans . Everything cooked perfect fish seasoned just right, green beans with great seasoning and salad was a full bowl with ranch dressing . Husband got the chicken fried chicken (as you can see is hanging over the plate ) Candi yams , white gravy and French fries . We then topped it off with the apple pie and ice cream . A week later had to go back to Sealy for work and on that day pork pot roast was the special with mash potatoes and fried yellow squash. I highly recommend trying this restaurant if you're on a road trip or if you're in the area . Stacey Dawn

I ordered a BLT here and was disappointed about the amount of bacon. It tasted fine, it just lacked bacon in my opinion. I ordered the coconut cream pie, because it's a favorite of mine. This didn't seem homemade. It was ok though.

This is just an old family restaurant with good food and friendly staff. I have eaten here a few times and always enjoyed myself. I will definitely be back in the future and always appreciate the southern hospitality.

Have you ever been dragged to your grandparents' favorite place to eat? This is that place...only it's packed with all kinds of folks with your typical food fare: pancakes, eggs, hash browns, etc. We did see HUGE biscuits that everyone was eating along with the Sunday Special that was chicken fried steak. Pass on all the chain restaurants on I-10 and find Tony's!

Tony's is a great little family owned Diner! We stop in every year when returning from attending the Texas Renaissance Festival. Great Fried Catfish, Chicken Fried Steak, Homemade Chiken and Dumplings, and don't forget the homemade Pies! Yum

Overall the food is good. The chicken fried steak could use a little more seasoning - we also ordered kid’s chicken tenders, kid’s silver dollar pancakes & bacon (ordered a side of egg), and a Tony’s special. - Forgot to take more pictures before we started eating. 🤪 Everything was fresh, hot & very fast. Great comfort food options and we will be back.

Forgot to take a photo before we dug in. We both got the western omlette. It was yummy. You can tell they use real eggs and not eggs in a carton, so that's a huge plus for me. The biscuits were fluffy and yummy. Our server was nice and consistent. Was hoping for more than one breakfast option for kids tho. They only have a 3 small pancake with either sausage or bacon for kids breakfast. Maybe add 2 more options? Some kids have food aversion and having options is nice sometimes. But overall great experience.

The reason I’m giving Tony’s a 4 overall rating is weirdly based on their toilet paper in the Men’s bathroom. To save money on something as simple as toilet paper is not smart. The food and service are spectacular— then one goes by the bathroom to have toilet paper the width of a roll of stamps. “We serve you good food by good people but we try to increase our margins by cutting corners on cleanliness.”

Mr Tony has taken over the restaurant and remodeled. First thing you'll notice is a cake and pie display. All of his cakes and pies have been upgraded and they are fantastic and selling like hotcakes no pun intended. The kitchen has been cleaned up and are putting out food that is absolutely delicious. One particularly new menu item is the Greek salad. I've ordered it several times and it is fantastic. Today I ordered it with the grilled chicken and it is now my favorite new menu item. Tony's grilled chicken dinner is outstanding but on this salad it really throws it over the top. I posted a photo of the salad. If you are cruising down interstate 10 and want to grab a bite to eat, don't hesitate to stop at Tony's for good home-cooked meals. Remember they have breakfast all day, their lunch menu is available all day but some prices may vary, and their menu is outstanding.

Been half a dozen times, but waited till now to write a fair review. They excel at some things and lack in others. Food quality: 3- to 4-star. Breakfast bacon not so good, but on a BLT in afternoon it was fine; chicken-fried steak pretty good. Service: very good at 4-star. Hosts are friendly, prompt, thorough and frequent. Ambience: 3-star; it's a diner off the interstate and looks like one. Cleanliness: perhaps surface clean, but I'd be interested to see the kitchen grill. Price: 4-star. They honor military and senior discounts. Overall: 3-star

Don't eat the Gulf Shrimp. That was horrible. Chicken fried steak as ok at best. For $50 dollars make a different choice.

Simple food, simple place. Service could have been friendlier, but overall the experience matched expectations. Pancakes were a tad too chewy, but the bacon was good.

I would have given 3 stars across but the food has never been that great. The food served has been what is advertised but never hot. The food is either luke warm or as today was literally cold. The Nacho hamburger meat was cold to the touch no where near hot. The service is ok but not exceptional. Once you sit you are quickly attended to by a server but after that not so much. Plenty of servers available ( see photo) The service is hit or miss. After 3 visits I have observed the servers are efficient but never smiling. Not even the Managers. Kinda depressing. The managers sit in a booth that is set above the floor and the managers sit behind a barricade (Covid not withstanding) looking over the floor as some overlord of a jail cell. I have not seen one smiling yet. If you want a quick meal on the road this place will work. But you will get better service at Whataburger or McD near by and the food will be hot there.

Service and atmosphere is great. Warm and friendly. However the food is ok. We mainly go there for the environment. But…the fruit pies are less than average. The crust isn’t flaky but thick and doughy. Not much fruit. We ordered the cherry and blueberry. Both were disappointing.

I often go to Tony’s and get the shrimp basket for my husband that comes with fries and he absolutely loves it and I do too. It’s fabulous however today I saw they had a special on the hot bar with fried shrimp 12 piece like the basket but you get two veggies so I asked my husband to pick that up for dinner and it was horrible. I think the shrimp may have been sitting out since lunchtime. It’s so petrified it is so dry and taste like cardboard. It is horrible. Do better Tony’s please. I know this is not the same shrimp. My husband got at lunchtime on the shrimp basket. Shame on you.

I didn't have the highest expectations being that it was in the sticks off i10 but they were worse than I anticipated. I ordered chili dogs with fries. I received the chili dogs and was told the fries would be right out. I finally got the fries after I finished my 2 chili dogs (took 15 minutes to get my fries). I wanted my fries as a side not dessert. The restaurant is dirty, seats ripped up, hot dogs were Mystery meat hot dogs, the chili was burnt. I will say the fried mushrooms tasted fresh not frozen (I was shocked by that considering everything else)
