It was our first day in Seattle and looking for somewhere to eat we came upon LOCAL Public Eatery. They have great menu so it's quite hard to decide what to get. For starter we had the Hawker's Street Curry which was so delicious! For Main Course we had the Fish and Chips and the Pulled Pork Baked Pasta which was also very good. For dessert they have that Warm Apple Cobbler that tasted like straight from heaven! Dane S. was great - personable and really attentive. He always made sure we had the best time and helped us with detailed recommendations to have the best of everything. If you're staying in Seattle make sure to visit this restaurant - for cocktails, beer or their delicious food!

Amazing service - Sophie and Kim are incredible and the food and drinks were phenomenal too. Highly recommend getting the Christmas pie or the burger!

I had the spicy guava margarita with the garlic edamame starter. For the meal I had the delicious Blackened Chicken Curry Bowl

I have been visiting with my English bulldog the whole summer of 2025 and local is one of my top ten places to grab a bite and drinks. First I would like to say the food and service is top notch, Matlyn, Chris at the bar and the rest of the friends at local have been nothing less than spectacular and welcoming, I believe that’s one of the biggest reasons I feel happy to come back to dine in. Secondly, I have tried 90 percent of the menu at this point and I can confidently say everything is good and does not disappoint, I have taken friends and dates to Local and have always been a hit. Lastly getting there is so easy when you’re in the area, they close decently late into the night and I have met the delivery folks in the morning walking my dog and can say the food is organic and locally grown. 10/10 place to take yourself and friends, prospective loves of your life, (the lighting is amazing) promise it’ll keep you coming back for the food, people, and great time. Dan and Kimani are the best bartenders ever! I'm visiting here from Houston to checking out all the local spots in Seattle and they gave the best service and give the best conversations! Definitely ask them for their recommendations for food and drinks! Definitely a place to check out plus I just found out they made a new location in Texas.

Chris was genuinely the most amazing bartender, I am visiting for a training week and went out to dinner alone, he helped me choose what to get and not only did I have the best food but it was so fun having such a fun person as my bartender. I told him at the end he made my day because he REALLY DID!!!! Also the spicy guava margarita is my favorite drink I’ve ever had, Chris is seriously the best.

Erin is awesome - she was friendly and super responsive - perfect timing of checking in and refilling beverages etc. Will be back and don’t sleep on the pierogis!

Huge restaurant, huge bar, good food! Definitely good place to watch sports or catch up with the colleagues. They have strange hours for happy hours(2-5), I feel it's short. Good crowd, good service and plenty of choices for beer 🍺. Waitresses are good looking!

Perfect neighborhood place to grab bites. Huge restaurant with great service and a wide menu selection with all great food. We’ve been multiple times now and everything we’ve had is delicious. The local fried chicken is probably our favorite. They do great to-go ordering as well and the quality is still there. Allows dogs in their patio seating. Great sports bar feel for a portion, the other portion more trendy neighborhood spot. Something for everyone. on a second visit we had brunch and it was fantastic. Only a few choices but they all sounded great and the hash was delicious.

We were in the area and looking to grab a quick bite. This place had great reviews, so we decided to go there for lunch. The Calabrian Caesar salad with blackened chicken was a nice spin on the usual Caesar salad. The addition of Calabrian chilis in the dressing and crispy capers made the salad more interesting and it had quite a kick. The local burger (two patties) with fries was also very good. Service was prompt and friendly; shoutout to Sepand who took great care of us during the busy lunch hour. With ample seating and several tv screens, this is a good place for hanging out, grabbing some drinks, watching a game, or having lunch/dinner. This place checks all the boxes for food, service and location!

I had a great experience at LOCAL Public Eatery Terry Ave — and Arron really made the visit stand out. From the moment we were seated, she was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. She checked in at the right times without hovering, made solid menu suggestions, and kept everything running smoothly.

Visited my family for the holidays and they took me here. Loved it and will definitely be marking it down for next years visit. The service was great, shout out to our server Yen as well as the entire staff on shift. Shrimp dumplings were delicious

We’ve been into this Local a few times and it has definitely become a family fave. The food is always delicious and they have great options for share plates. Tina has been our server on the last 2 occasions and she is fantastic - always friendly, attentive and helpful. As Vancouver natives, we love having this familiar spot here in Seattle.

I came in with a large party and they were able to accommodate us right away! Food was great and the atmosphere is incredible. Our server Mindy was amazing, always check in with us to see if we needed anything and made our night. I’ve never had a server as personable and attentive as Mindy!

What a good find!!!! My mom and I were trying to celebrate her 50th birthday and didn’t make our reservation in time. We were so sad but we’re soon feeling better after our incredible experience at the eatery. The food was impeccable but above all, the service was inspiring. Our server was Jazzmin H. Was so genuine and attentive and provided my mom and I with a delightful dinner and a positive attitude that cured our birthday disaster. Fried chicken was incredible with fries perfectly salted. The fried chicken sauce was also just incredible. Server was very kind and gave good recommendations. Music was a little loud but other than that I recommend you go.

We had the BEST experience at Local thanks to our server, Chris K! He was absolutely amazing—so attentive, funny, and genuinely sweet. He made us feel so welcome and taken care of the entire time, and even surprised us with free Christmas drinks, which totally made our night. Service like this is rare and truly special. We’ll definitely be back and hope to sit in his section again!

I always have a fantastic time at this spot! Kailey, the manager, is super attentive and kind, and you can tell she genuinely cares about making sure everyone has a great experience. Chris behind the bar is just as awesome, he’s easygoing, always friendly, and adds to the whole welcoming vibe. Every time I come by, it’s just quality time all around. Definitely a place I look forward to visiting!

Had an amazing time at a company happy hour/post-work event! Erica (waitress) was an incredible server, always asking us for refills and extra food if needed. We are aware that there is a competition going on, and I am fully supporting that Erica gets the award as she did a great job tonight in serving us our food and drinks, really contributing to a fun environment with our colleagues!

Looking for bomb food? Looking to watch a game? Looking for good service? Well, you found the spot. Honestly, it’s extremely hard to find all those things in one spot. Local delivers tho! The staff is amazing. We had MINDY our most recent venture and she was so friendly, super on top of service, had a smile and was a pleasure to talk with. LOCAL has become my go-to on my frequent weekend trips to Seattle. It's usually the first place I hit up after getting settled in, as its located in a relatively clean and accessible part of Seattle - reminds me of other parts of downtown, pre-Covid. I'm generally partial to gastropubs, but I'm also a foodie and LOCAL covers both ends of the culinary spectrum. Classic pub menu, but most dishes have a signature or creative twist - roasted beet hummus or sirloin served like filet with a peppercorn sauce - with everything cooked to perfection. And most importantly, the service is outstanding. I typically sit at the bar, and if you've ever worked in restaurants you know how challenging bar and cocktail service can be. But even on busy nights, someone on their staff has made eye contact with me within a minute of sitting down. I've gotten to know a lot their crew - Chris, Kim, Kailey - who are constantly scanning the restaurant, making sure everything is clean and their customers are taken care of. I look forward to LOCAL Public Eatery when I have the chance.

My dad and I came here for dinner before we saw a concert at Climate Pledge. I made a reservation day of and glad I did because it was pretty busy at 6pm on a Thursday. We ordered the crispy potatoes and they were amazing. I had a skinny mango margaritas and it was delicious. I also ordered the pulled pork pasta and it was really tasty! My dad had the enchiladas and he mentioned they were spicy but his spice tolerance isn’t very high😂 our server was great, she had lots of table but made sure to check on us often and helped with food and beverage recommendations. The vibe was super lively and fun. I saw a few kids and they seem to have a family friendly area opposite the bar area. Outside seating too! Will be coming back!

First time at Local, and I was impressed. Very friendly staff and the food was great. Our server, Sophie, expertly managed a large group I was in well above expectations. Everyone at the table appreciated her kindness and her recommendations. I’ll definitely be back to Local soon.

Excellent food, even better service! We had garlic edamame, trophy burger, and BBQ bowl, ALL so good that we inhaled it before I can provide any further details. Chose the yam fries per TINA's recommendation, thanks Tina! She was super friendly, approachable, and always had a smile. Highly recommend and will be back again. 😋

Stopped by LOCAL today and Yen was our server, she was amazing!!! She was very knowledgeable about the menu and had great recommendations for us. My fiancé and I ordered the ramen and nachos. I would highly recommend both options, they were filling and super yummy. We enjoyed our overall experience and would definitely come back and recommend it to friends and family looking for a place to dine in SLU!

I visited local public eatery for the first time a few days ago, and let’s just say my experience was nothing short of amazing. Yen was my server and she was the BEST. Her menu knowledge was out of this world and helped me curate a meal that I would love based on my likes and dislikes. She recommended the crispy potatoes and the steak frites and WOW. If you’re looking for a vibrant atmosphere and amazing food, stop by and ask for Yen. You will not be disappointed I promise.

The atmosphere is inviting and perfect for both large groups and small, intimate dates. The staff is incredible at what they do. Shout out to Chris behind the bar. His espresso martini is 10/10. And Kailey, one of the managers, is #1. Even during a busy night, she always greets people with a smile and makes you feel seen, not just like another customer. The food is good. Last time I was there, I had the ramen with fried chicken. Highly recommend. And the burgers are fantastic. This place truly lives up to its name. You might arrive as a stranger, but you’ll leave a local.

Cool overall vibes! It’s a fun, lively spot with games and a nice atmosphere. The food was good – but nothing special about it. Burger was ok, wings were better. Very nice draft menus though, and possible to taste. Enjoyed that.

Just a heads-up: it’s probably not the best spot if you’re looking for a quiet, personal gathering – it’s more of a social, energetic environment. But if you’re in the mood for good food and a good time, definitely check it out!

Overall, a very positive experience with friendly service and very good food. Worth noting that waiting times were a bit long, definitely longer than I would have expected. This happened on both occasions I was there.

Great guava margarita. I shared the steak and fries with my daughter. I would order the sauce separately and put my own since it came with a lot. My nephew had the fish and chips which were yummy. We beat the crowd at 4pm. It got really busy as we were wrapping up. Great spot to watch the game.

First, I want to say that Sarah was great. She served us. And, she did a great job. She was very attentive. The food was also good. I had the beef Chiquita tacos to start. They were very good. I could have just eaten those. I love fish and chips. So, that’s what I went for on my main course. It was good. I can’t say it was the best I’ve had. But, the flavor was good. The breading was slightly heavy for me. I had a stout beer. It was really tasty. I don’t recall the name of it. I’m sorry about that. But, if you feel like a good stout style beer, ask for a stout, and they will know. This restaurant is a decent location. There are several hotels around. It’s a good walking area. It isn’t too awfully far from Capitol Hill and Pike place market. I believe it’s in between both of those. Seems like a good spot to hang out if you want to catch a sports game. It is spacious and has a good feel.

I think Local is pretty classic Seattle food. It's very expensive for no reason IMO. I got the peanut noodle salad with chicken which was ~$25 and had very little amount of chicken IMO. Taste was okay. Atmosphere is nice but I wouldn't come again probably.

Very nice atmosphere and great choice of beers. But fish tacos that I ordered were very blunt, even with extra spicy sauce. They were tasting like poorly made fish from fish and chips, but extra rolled into tortilla and some sla on top. Maybe I spent too much time on South and just shouldn't expect good tacos at North Pacific?

My wife and I stopped in after work on a Friday for a bite and some drinks. This place seemed fun with a lively atmosphere. The host was welcoming. Pretty disappointing food for such a cool spot. My wife and I split the LOCAL burger which was under seasoned and bland. Plus the meat patties are tiny compared to the bun. The Fully Loaded Crispy Potato’s were soggy like they were sitting out for hours. The wings for $20 were underwhelming. Service was great even though it was packed.

Servers were nice but food came out very slow. The overall quality of food was pretty good. We like the chicken skewers and spicy edamame from their starters and guava drink and mango boba from their non-alcohol menu! Highly recommend this place if you're going with a big group for drinks or finger food, but it's pretty loud to chat so be aware.

Totally not worth it. They have effectively 1 vegetarian-friendly entree item, and it’s an impossible burger that needs to be substituted for an extra $3.50 with any of the burgers. However, the menu says all burger patties come with 2 patties (a modest recompense for each burger being $22-25); but when you PAY $3.50 EXTRA for the vegetarian-friendly patty, you only get 1 patty!! (And it’s super small.) So, you’re paying extra AND getting less. To add insult to injury, the water glasses (and refill containers) are tiny and the amount of side you get (salad, fries, etc.) with a burger is very small, as well. Would not go here again, and vegetarians and vegans should definitely avoid.
