I stopped in for brunch with my partner and we had a great meal together. The food was excellent! Caesar was our server and he did a fantastic job! He was very nice and knowledgeable on the menu and my partner and I will definitely be coming back.
Feels Like Home Again. 🥰🏠❤️ I revisited Poquitos specifically because I heard that Chef Rudy and much of the fantastic former team from Mezcaleria had moved here, and I'm so glad I did! Trying the food felt like coming home again. I'm genuinely happy and impressed with the experience. The care, attention to detail in the new dishes, and the service from the staff in Capitol Hill are truly excellent. You can feel the passion they put into it. I highly recommend Poquitos, especially for brunch – it was outstanding. It's quite possibly become my favorite spot for Mexican food in Seattle once again. Everything from the salsas and desserts to the cocktails and main dishes was masterful. 🌮🍹✨
The happy hour here is fantastic. The nachos are to die for--add some meat on top and you'll love it! The Al Pastor tacos are also excellent. And the drinks, too! Love the margarita and caipirinha.
The restaurant has a warm and cozy environment. I really like the decorations of the bar. Food is also delicious. A good place to hang out with friends.
If you’re looking for a place that delivers both style and substance, Poquitos is it. The atmosphere feels alive without being overwhelming, the staff is attentive without hovering, and the food—let’s just say it deserves every bit of the hype. From the first bite to the last sip, everything was balanced, thoughtful, and full of flavor. It’s rare to find a restaurant where the energy of the room matches the quality on the plate, but Poquitos pulls it off beautifully. Easily a five-star experience, and one I’ll be repeating for years to come.
Incredible food and service! Everything we got we loved. Unique flavors, delicious sauces and friendly staff.
Discovered this place by accident. They have an amazing happy hour menu that starts at 8. Great food and drinks
My kids and I were visiting from California my daughter wanted Mexican food. We found Poquitos and it was delicious. The nachos were amazing good and the tacos were amazing too. The service was amazing we walked in the restaurant and we were seated right away. The servers were great and knowledgeable of the menu. Had a great experience and great food. Thanks Poquitos. See you next time we’re in town.
I loooove this place!! Amazing and authentic Mexican food and Mexican spirits. They update their cocktails by season and I’m always amazed by all of them! 💓 I 100% recommend this awesome place! Also their service is above and beyond.
Poquitos is our favorite place to eat in Capitol Hill. It is literally perfection. Good food, great atmosphere, and hard drinks! We always get the dip plate as an appetizer, the queso is 🤌 so good. Highly recommend swinging by during June when they have their pride menu, they prioritize making things fast so it’s a great spot to stop and have food on your bar crawl.
I had the most amazing meal here and I would go back in a heartbeat!
Although it’s my first time to try to Mexican food, I’m completely into it. 💯💯💯💯💯The staff is literally kind and sweet.
Great food , decent ambience and good service. However wish we could get a table outside by the fire but apparently they were short staffed at that time. We went an hour before closing so the vibe was low however we still had a good time. We got the chicken tortilla soup , horchatas , chips and guac along with some vegetarian taco and chicken tinga taco. All the items were fresh and delicious and we highly recommend the chicken tortilla soup . It was huge , tasty and unique. Their cocktail section was nice as well but we did not try them out that night . Overall a very good experience and a great Mexican place in capitol hill
This food was truly outstanding! The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable, and prompt. The vibe was fabulous and they have a great selection of food and drinks. The shrimp ceviche was absolutely incredible. The enchiladas where the best I've ever had period. The drinks where on point and the Flan was delicious. If you're in Seattle, this place is a must!! Try it, you will not be disappointed.
This place is great! I went there for a team dinner, and they were able to accommodations for about 16. The restaurant has an amazing vibe and the place has a nice layout and vibrant with lights and decor. The food was really good too. I had the fish tacos which were great and the Mezcal margarita which I enjoyed. The staff was friendly, the place was nice and clean, and I was impressed. Highly recommend.
Really good service and atmosphere here. They are always super busy but somehow you manage to get seated pretty quickly. Staff is always friendly and food comes out really fast. Bathrooms are clean and free of odors. As far as the food, it was pretty solid all around. The Mediterranean tacos had good flavor. Chip basket was never empty. The margarita was spicy as hell but good. And the churros were bomb too! Will likely be back
Looking for a restaurant with good vibes, beautiful ambience and delicious food this is it!! The food was very flavorful and fresh from guacamole to enchiladas, nachos and tacos. The servers are very friendly and helpful in giving recommendations to suit your palette. There was a mess up with my order got chicken instead of cheese but the server immediately took full responsibility, got it replaced and made sure to stand by our table and check if its right the second time he got my plate. For others on my group shrimp won over mahi mahi. Churros were yummy too served with caramel sauce. Went with a group and all of us enjoyed every bite of our food. There’s a huge bar area on one side and a restaurant seating on other with fireplace and cool decor. Was a very pleasant experience and we will definitely return.
Came here because our plans for Indian got smashed by the place being a ghost kitchen. Poquitos did not disappoint! Vegetarian options. Excellent food and service. If we find ourselves in Seattle again, this will be our spot!
A friend living in Seattle gave me many recommendations and Poquitos was one of the most appreciated! Very big and welcoming place, good service and kind staff. The food was particularly good, nachos were crazy and the tortillas as well. Great location, Capitol Hill is the real center of the night life in Seattle and also it’s main and most authentic area. Strongly recommended.
Went on a Sunday night at it was perfect. The chicken was amazing, the rice was good too. Nice fresa margarita. No wait. Service was excellent. They even brought me a new napkin that had fallen on the floor before me realizing. I would go back for the chicken and the chicharrones with queso again.
Great vibe and atmosphere. The staff and bartenders should practice more patience and smile : ) I felt a little uncomfortable to make conversations with bartenders and it was super slow and just me. Great decorations and lighting Great service Great food quantity and quality No music was playing (Sat 3:00 PM) Prices are a little high and no happy hour on Sat which was not good. Overall great place and spot. Classy and high standards in the middle of CapHill. Recommendations: -Play music and something background -Remind and educate bartenders to be more engaging and talkative to customers because they are customer facing roles. -Add happy hour and be more customer obsessed. Dont just focus on profit and build up customers relationships. Overall I will give 5 star and check this place soon to see some improvements. Specially their cold treatments from the bartenders. #caphillbar #pike #chillbar
Really cozy spot in Capitol Hill with excellent food! The fish tacos were really good and so were the rice and beans! Service was super friendly and the atmosphere is amazing! I will definitely stop in again next time I’m in the neighborhood!
I don’t remember the last time I was at a restaurant and wasn’t able to get past the apps/soups-salads. Perhaps it never happened before, but it happened here. What threw me off was the mammoth steak nachos and then the super hearty chicken tortilla soup. Shame though, would have loved to try more of the menu. Shoutout to the service as well!
Came here with my family, wanted to eat dinner in Cap Hill since they were visiting. Poquitos showed all of us a great time! Lots of seating inside and some nice tables outside as well. We all really enjoyed our food, the guac was amazing. Service was great too. Awesome Mexican food overall!
The service was fantastic here. Our server was very busy. Quite a full section it looked like. But he made sure we were taken care of and were haply. The drinks were great. I got the purist mezcal margarita and could not have been happier. Perfection. We got one of every dessert and my favorites were the bunuelos and the chocolate flan cake. The churros were okay, their caramel sauce was better than the churros themselves. Also would have loved a sauce on the flan plate or something similar. But certainly the best chocolate flan I've ever had.
Brunch at Poquitos is top tier! Make room for the breakfast burrito! It was delicious and was a large portion. I would go back here just for the breakfast burrito! The guac and chips also never disappoint.
Poquitos is a cozy restaurant with great food and even better service. Camillo was so friendly and welcoming, and he totally spoiled our table of 4. Thank you so much!
Being from New Mexico I have *standards* for my Mexican food and this place knocked it out of the park. Street tacos were delicious and they even took care of my onion allergy and my nephew's myriad food allergies. The chips and queso our friend ordered to share were delicious too. By the way the tacos with beans and rice was $15 all together so absolutely worth a visit.
Amazing food. Amazing presentation, customer service and experience was on point. I came here for my birthday and wow the experience was amazing!! Cesar was our server and he really made this whole experience even better. We will be coming back.
The vegetarian taco and enchiladas were okay, not the best I have had but still good. The margarita was very good and was recommended by our waiter, who was really friendly and checked in on us often. Chips and salsa were not provided, but we ordered them and they gave us an array of three salsas which were all tasty. Overall a nice experience.
I’ve been here a few times, and every time I go the food is great! They have a great happy hour and great drinks! If you’re looking for a Mexican place in Capitol Hill, this is a great option! Instagram - Madeline’s_Dines
Nice upscale Mexican restaurant, with a lively atmosphere. Ordered the tuna tostada (excellent!) and the shrimp in salsa brava (delicious) but the Barbacoa Tacos was a total miss.. The meat was utterly dry and underseasoned. What a letdown. Service was also underwhelming unfortunately, it tastes forever to get a waiters attention and they missed our drinks and one food item order. Overall still great for a date night.
I’ll start off by saying this my second time visiting here, the first time, I was thoroughly unimpressed. I was reluctant to return. The food was bland, the fish tacos fell apart, and it just wasn’t the move. But my wife insisted we try it again - so we did and I’m glad we did. This time I asked our (super great) waitress and she gave us very honest recommendations which I appreciated. This time, we really enjoyed our food. We order the shrimp tacos, the enchiladas (chicken), the corn appetizer and the chips and salsa. Everything was delicious. The green sauce in the enchiladas was spicier and the red sauce was more flavorful. -1 star for charging 7 dollars for chips and salsa since most places offer that for free.
. Food was good, they have Chicharrones with dipping so good, my Fish Tacos were good but it was missing something, not very flavorful, we also ordered Carne Azada Nachos they were good but only a few pieces of meat but I'm telling you very few like a couple. It could have gotten better. I will give them a chance because of service
Cool ambience, the food was good, but my favorite thing there was their frozen guava margarita along with their pineapple margarita
What I like about this place is their windows are wide and open, spacious, and great side patio. Located in the heart of Capital hill and the restaurant is considerably pretty clean. Friendly staff and very accommodating. As for the food is pretty good but seems like they can add more flavors. Overall great spot to grab a drink, snack, and catch up with family or friends.
A modern take on Mexican food. The carne asada was good, the short rib less so (the meat wasn't too flavorful), but still fine. The margaritas were decent, and the service was friendly. Above all, the location is great, and the space offers plenty of seating options - sit by the window to get a feel for the neighborhood.
The food is great! The mini burritos, carne asada, and fajitas are all highly recommended. Their “rewards” program is a joke, however. It’s based on your form of payment and not phone number. You can’t use the free reward if you use a debit card one visit then a credit card or cash another. Strange set up.
Amazing place, went once after Neumos, and had Maria who was amazing, and months later came back and just so happened to get her again. This time around I got to tell her about how great she made our last visit, which ofc was the start of another phenomenally hosted night led by herself. The food was great, got the Carne asada, the steak was amazing, maybe wish all the fixings like the rice and beans were hotter, or like a warmer plate, but it didn’t matter, the food didn’t last long Nachos (plain), Carne Asada, and Horchata was what me and my dinner partner had, we both would recommend everything ! And, maybe I’m just broke, but the Horchata and the Carne asada felt pretty unrewarding considering the price. All praise is for flavor, and service. My Horchata was mainly ice, lol
The food was amazing; however, the customer service left much to be desired. I walked by and noticed they had a reasonably good happy hour, so I decided to go in. They offer a set of two tacos, with different types available for the same price. When I asked if I could order two different types (I wasn't hungry for two sets) the waiter informed me that it wasn’t possible. I eventually asked to speak with the manager. Despite the waiter trying to dissuade me from doing so, the manager eventually came over. After a conversation that took longer than necessary, she agreed that I could order two different types. Unfortunately, this restaurant is not very accommodating. Additionally, their prices are higher than they should be making it not a place I'd even want to come back to if the service was better.
Have had better. The Birria Burrito from the regular menu only had meat inside. When I mentioned it was missing items listed on the menu, I was given pickled onion and grated cheese on the side.
We stopped in because there was no wait. The wait staff was friendly and quick. The chips and salsa were not complimentary which was a bummer but understandable. The service was a bit slow but they were a bit busy even though it was 9 pm. We ordered the salsa trio which was delicious. We also ordered the carne asada main plate to share. It came with three tortillas (flour) not sure if they have corn they didn't offer or ask. The carne asada was delicious and tasty. Overall it was an OK experience. The one meal was big enough for two people. We were disappointed with the cleanliness of the bathrooms. There was also a couple who took the liberty to stand in front of the bathroom, and make out. It was super dark, so might be a great place for a more romantic date. The booths were also warm which was nice since it is quite chilly out.
It's a bummer when both frozen margarita machines are dedicated to non traditional margaritas drinks. Tried the nachos, chips were a little burnt and the strategy of stacking them high in a small cast iron skillet makes them harder to eat...otherwise, seemed like a nice restaurant to eat in.
They advertise “hand made tortillas”. I was exited to see this because I’ve been in search for any place that’s serves tortillas hecho a mano. I was pleasantly disappointed but the fact that they were, according to the waitress, “ premade in house by a machine tortillas” they tasted similar to Guerrero tortillas that you but at the store with a slight difference in appearance. The food wasn’t bad for a Mexican American flare. The drinks were amazing however. The atmosphere was beautiful and gave hacienda vibes which was amazing!
Food is not up to snuff. Underseasoned. You can now get much better and truly authentic Mexican at Antojitos Jalisco’s and the Birrieria place next door. Significantly tastier and cheaper. Mostly people go to Poquitos for the ambience it seems. Fogon is also better and has just as good ambience.
This used to be my go to spot for great baja fish tacos but they now no longer serve them fried! On top of that, you now only get 2 tacos and not 3 for your entree. Can't recommend paying $25+ for two tacos to anyone
We went to Poquitos in Capitol hill on a Friday night for drinks and food. We couldn’t get a table but we were seated on the bar although they had some empty tables. We got the ‘Fresa margarita’ and it was amazing and refreshing. We also got: - shrimp tacos, to spicy for my taste and the shrimps need a bit of flavor. - chicken tacos, were okay Both dishes came with a side of rice and black beans. The rice was too mushy. - corn esquites, was the only dish that we liked. The service was good and fast. We enjoyed the vibes. I only recommend it for drinks as there are many better Mexican food restaurants in Seattle.
Food the people i went with ordered was good, i got the enchiladas with salads verde and it was not good, the sauce had an odd taste to it and the side of rice and beans was a very small portion it was a tiny bowl half filled with rice and half with beans but other than that it was a nice place.
Came in for a late lunch around 2pm. Not busy at all and we got sat right away. The menu seemed rather limited, but this may be because it was Sunday and still during brunch. The service was friendly, but not attentive at all. My wife and I got the tres amigos (three dips with tortilla chips) and the bean dip and queso were good. The tomato salsa was fine, but nothing special. I ordered the carne asada street tacos which were tasty, but very small for the price and came with about a 4 fl.oz portion of rice & beans. My wife ordered the grilled Baja fish tacos and the fish was super fishy and obviously had gone bad. We sat for about 30 minutes with empty drink glasses trying to flag down our server to tell them that the fish had gone bad so maybe my wife could order something else. By the time we finally flagged someone down we were ready to just get out of there. We still paid for the rotten fish tacos even after informing the server that it was inedible.. I work in the restaurant industry and understand that it was slow and they probably had minimal staff on the clock, but when we were one of maybe four tables in the whole restaurant they need to do better. It should be standard protocol to check in with a table after the first bite or two, not to mention that we absolutely would have ordered another round of drinks had they been around to take our order.
I'm really not usually this person, but this was next level bad. I ordered the burrito with the yam - which was listed as an option for the fillings. The server asked if I wanted green or red salsa on top - asked like a direct option, not if I wanted to add it. I went with red. The burrito was small, the rice had some hard bits (stale or burnt I don't know), the yam was one note, and the red salsa was overly smoky and dominated the flavor. Truly one of the worst burritos I've ever had. Whatever, to each their own - maybe somebody else would like it. When the bill came, the burrito was $18, the salsa was $3 (which - fine, that was on the menu and I didn't notice, but would have appreciated if the server presented it as an addition and not like it was included), but the yam WAS SIX DOLLARS. For (poorly prepared) yam?? It was listed on the menu as an option for filling without any indication it would be extra. So the price of one of the worst meals I've had was $27 - after tip and tax, $36. Hard pill to swallow. My partners enmoladas were ok - the mole sauce was decent (pretty sweet) but covered all of the flavor and the portion was extremely small. He ordered a drink that was on the menu that the server hadn't even heard of and told us they were out. I know Seattle prices are egregious, but this was on another level.
