Great ownership, friendly staff, awesome ambiance. They did a wonderful job with this new spot. Feels homey, comfortable, and serves tasty food and drink. Come by for happy hour, a drink, or their various events such as live music! This place has it all, but isn’t trying too hard. I appreciate the balance and sophistication of their presence in lower Queen Anne. Can’t wait to make this a go-to spot! Cheers!
Delicious gochujang wings with an excellent crunch, the Tom kha gai was delicious, and the drinks excellently made. The vibe was unexpected - more of a sports bar vibe than I expected but still very enjoyable! Having a great time being goofy as heck with my friend by dancing to and singing the music at him
Love this place! Their happy hour, food, drink, vibe is a great experience. Bartender is on top of everything, makes good drinks and truly cares about the customer. Love the ample wall and USB charging outlets!! So thoughtful. Stopped in after walking 5 miles around Queen Anne and were thirsty. Ordered the HH dark & stormy, the HH lemon drop, Larb and butter chicken tacos, crispy hand breaded wings, cheesy tots, and cobalt rush. My favorite things were the butter chicken tacos (so good!!) and the dark & stormy. The Larb is pretty spicy and I have a zero spice tolerance, but my husband who loves spice enjoyed them. The wings are awesome if you love crunchy and savory. Bingo seems pretty popular here though we did not play. It can get a bit loud with the game so if you're seeking a more intimate experience be mindful of this :) Cheers and see you next time Traveling Goat!
We only had the spring rolls and drinks. But this place is a very nice quaint spot to rest for spirits after walking up and down from Kelly Park for best views of the Seattle skyline. The drinks and service were excellent and the staff is very friendly. I also opted for one of their cool T-shirts. It is a "community" friendly bar.
From the moment you go into this place you are greeted with a smile and a hello. If the owner who is at the helm 90% of the time knows your name or has seen your face before they greet you by name and that's important. Being made to feel like you belong in a space from the moment you get in there is hands down a perfect start. Then you get into the carefully prepared food which is very flavorful and consistent. If you go here even once try the wings! The atmosphere feels like you're actually in another place with beautiful art on the walls and decorations to match.
Amazing spot for happy hour!!!! The food and drinks were delicious, and the service was spot on. They also brought out a water bowl for my dog, which was much appreciated. I’ll definitely be stopping back by again soon!
My husband and I really enjoyed the happy hour! The dark and stormy and lemon drop cocktails were great! My husband enjoyed his martini. The shrimp tacos were so good and we ordered a second one because of how amazing the first one was. The bartender was very nice and we really liked the vibe here! Thank you!!
I was from out of town and my local friend took me here and we had a great experience! We ordered the salt and pepper wings, cold brew martini, and pot stickers during happy hour. All were wonderful! The service and ambiance was perfect!
Owners are super engaged and this bar is always a great place to be! Tina’s FOOD is Amazing, tacos, soup, dumplings, wings. Everything is just so good tasty and delicious. Don’t forget the happy hour 3-6 great prices and the best snacks and meals.
Super cute new bar/lounge in lower Queen Anne. Asian American fusion style with yummy food and drinks and a very chill vibe. The owners are awesome! Such a good spot before a game or as a casual happy hour. I went here on a date with my boyfriend for appetizers and drinks and it was cute!
Nice bar, well supplied, and a nice tiny kitchen. Parking is a tad tight, being lower QA. Nice Happy Hour, quite busy during pre-game times.
Tasty snacks, excellent bar service, and strong drinks made The Traveling Goat a great experience. Definitely recommend the dirty martini and sitting at the bar.
I would give this place 1.5 billion stars if I could. Steve & Tina are the best! This is my favorite neighborhood hang out. The food is bangin’ and the drinks are fabulous. I always feel welcome, and I’ve met some good folks here :)
Update 5.22.23: Even moreWonderful. The food, service and atmosphere has only gotten better. They've also gotten good at handling a full house and still providing quick service and delicious food. Recommend the butter chicken tacos, the special ribs on rice (tiny bit spicy) and the fried wontons. Every cocktail we have tried has been great and now they have draft beer! Original: neighborhood bar with great dinner! I was expecting just bar snacks but the food is delicious and filling. Atmosphere great and the staff is awesome. We will be returning and will try happy hour next time. I also like he traveling theme and that they have tons of wall outlets. If I ever need a place to plug in my laptop and get a bite and beer this will be my first stop.
Great spot for a light bite, a cocktail and a beer. Perfect before a show or heading to the arena. The food is small plate, Asian fusion, and everything tasted great.
We were visiting from Victoria for a couple of days and happened upon the Travelling Goat - what a great surprise! Amazing food, wonderful cocktails and a charming atmosphere. We will be back soon!
Wasn’t expecting much of cheese fries. But they were incredible! Crispy fries, great cheese, and yummy bacon!
Good drinks, great food. The gochujang wings were our favorite, and the larb tacos and cream cheese wontons were also great. Awesome service and atmosphere, we will be back!
Great spot. Ran by an inspired couple. Offering a varied menu with excellent service. They are just out of opening so they deserve a little grace on staffing. They really are leaning in and trying to make sure you love your experience.
Love the music and small plates. Loved the Barrata and pot stickers. The kick ass mule is indeed kick ass. Yum! Good vibes!
A little find, a relaxed atmosphere where you can spend an authentic evening with good food, quizzes, and friendly people. Very happy!
My husband and I just happen to pick this place off a list to give it a try. Walked into a great atmosphere. The bar tender was very personal and provided the right amount of service. The food came out quick and I had the best soup of my life in this place. We were there around happy hour (unknown) and got the edamame, crispy chicken and Tina’s Tim Kha soup w/ white rice. Fantastic! Try this place for sure.
A perfect choice for happy hour before a game or event near Seattle Center. We go often for great cocktails and amazing appetizers - food is delicious! We love the traveling tacos and wings. Vibes are so chill - feels like the best kind of hostel bar where folks are meeting over good conversation and laughter. Owners are so sweet and service is attentive. There is so much passion behind this space and you can feel it. Highly recommend!
Great vibe! Just what we needed after a day of exploring in Seattle. Friendly owner who is the bartender behind the bar. We had an eclectic crowd so we tried lots of different food on their menu and they smashed it outta the park for us! Everything was amazing down to the Friendly locals who welcomed us as well. Great place to try out!!
Please do something about the sidewalk puddle, it’s been three years since your building was renovated. I know it’s not exactly the restaurant’s responsibility, but letting a big puddle in front of your entrance to exist for years is bad for your customers and bad form as a neighbor. You should consider sending your landlord some sort of breach of contract notice as they are not maintaining the facility that you’re paying rents to (I believe building owners are supposed to maintain public sidewalk). If the city is indeed responsible, contact your councilmember to make it happen.
Stopped in before a show tonight and a woman leaving was raving about the wings so obviously I had to try them. Incredible. She said they were the best she’s ever had and I find it hard to disagree. Easily best I’ve had in Seattle. James, the bartender, was attentive and great to talk to. Will certainly be back to try more of the menu the next time I’m in from the Eastside.
I got their grilled cheese and added tomato. It is made on pumpkin brioche and is seriously the best grilled cheese I have ever had. I live 3 hours away and will probably drive here for this.
I live nearby and sometimes come in during slow times to get some work done. Staff is always friendly and kind. One of LQA's best community living rooms.
We loved the food, the waitstaff, and the atmosphere. The chicken skewers were great. The tom kha soup was the best I've ever had.
Stopped in for a cocktail before dinner and John offered great service, attentive and kind. Warm and comfortable atmosphere.
Fun spot near climate pledge and great for sharing since they have lots of tapas options. Highly recommend the fried ravioli & burrata!
I visited this place on a Friday evening. I liked the overall decor of the place. The highlight of the place was the food. Everything that I ordered was extremely delicious. I ordered Chicken Skewers, Garlic Prawn Taco, Tina's Tom Kha soup, the special appetizer of the day. I liked how all the dips were made. They were all full of flavours. I ordered a few cocktails and I enjoyed their Espresso Martini the most. Their playlist was good too. I'll definitely visit this place again. I highly recommend this place.
We stopped in at The Traveling Goat before a sold-out show at Climate Pledge and found a table right away which was a total win! Even with the place packed, the service was friendly and the team handled the rush like pros. Overall Great vibe, great cocktails, and a solid spot to hit before any big event downtown.
Came into this place after 8 hours of driving. Wasnt sure where to eat so we came here. It ended up being one of the best nights of our trip. The regulars are friendly and accepting of tourists, the bartender was amazing and the food was great! To top it all off they had Drag Bingo which is something I've never heard of so we stayed for that and it was one of the best nights and well worth the money. Would recommend to anyone looking for a safe, accepting, and comfortable bar to drink at.
We are visiting Seattle from out of state and wanted to go to a nearby bar. I saw this place had good reviews so we decided to try it and wow, what a gem. We sat at the bar. The whole olace was pretty lively and full. The bartender was so kind and funny, as well as the other bar patrons. There seemed to be a lot of regulars at the bar who were all so fun to chat with. I got a couple cocktails which were all delicious. We ordered the burrata, which was great. We also had the prawn tacos and the beer battered fish tacos. Both of them were amazing, the fish tacos have a great kick to them. We played drag bingo which was also just such a fun time. We definitely wish we lived nearby so we could come here more often. The vibe here is just incredible and I highly recommend you check them out. Thanks for giving us a great time!
GF and I came threw around 7pm was a cool Lil place! We got burgers and fries and they were fantastic! Service was welcoming and our server was very friendly.
I came for happy hour which is a good deal. Food is pretty good. The tacos were mostly cabbage but tasted good once I got rid a lot of cabbage.
A decent spot near Memorial Stadium and the Space Needle, we came here for dinner and drinks. The cocktails were superb, and we were lucky enough to come on the last night of a guest kitchen (Tiger's Eye) which served great Asian dishes. Service was a bit slow, only due to the fact that there was one person working the entire place. As LGBTQ+ as it comes, everyone should feel welcome here.
Went for tapas and this little gem didnt dissapoint! Fantastic service and great dishes, WILL go again!!
This is a fun Queen Anne Gastropub type of vibe. We went here before going to a show at Climate Pledge Arena. Things are on the price your side, but well-made. The cocktails are very good and the food was good. The services solid, but quite slow. We waited a while for each round and The Food seem to take quite some time.
Wings, fish tacos, burger and fries - all delicious and great beer. Local bar with regulars. Excellent service
We went to Traveling Goat for drinks and dinner. The food was decent, but the bartender showed little to no personality and never once asked if we needed another drink, food, or anything at all. The lack of attentiveness really took away from the experience.
The Brussel sprouts were among the b3st I've ever had. Coconut shrimp were decent, worth the price. Service was substandard. I would attribute this to being shortstaffed, but when regulars arrived they were served promptly and with a grace we did not experience. Added note to owner .......We dined September 30.
The chicken wings were flavorful, but $14 for 5 wings was a little pricey. They were meaty at least. The service was horrible though. The bartender, a tall, dark haired, lanky man with glasses, was too busy flirting with two girls at the bar to check in on us and see if we needed refills on our drinks. We were there at least an hour and the bartender never checked on us after bringing the food.
Nice that there was for no charge for a veggie patty, but the burger came with a single slice of tomato, a comically large pile of spring mix in lieu of lettuce, and no condiments. Didn't offer cheese, and no option for onion or pickles or anything with actual flavor. (I asked! What kitchen has no onions?) They did have mustard, but you must request it at the bar and out yourself as a weirdo who doesn't enjoy a dry, bland burger overflowing with baby spinach. As a bonus, the fries were also way overcooked. Another bad $20 burger at a place with Edison bulbs and a wall of plastic plants. How many more times will I fall for it?
I ordered the Tom Kha soup with prawns ($17), and it was served to me in a can that was just over half full. My water was served to me in a disposable plastic cup and even after sitting empty for several minutes, I never got a refill. Overall, I was pretty unimpressed.
Service was good and the drinks were fine but the food was beyond extremely disappointing, especially for an award-winning, recommended bar/restaurant. Nothing seemed or tasted like it was made in house...everything we ordered was exactly like the frozen items we all buy at Costco and Trader Joes. The one unique item we tried was Tina's Tom Kha Soup served in a sad coconut milk can. It was inedible. What we thought were chunks of chicken turned out (we think) to be big, un-chewable chunks of raw ginger. The one piece of chicken someone was brave enough to try, was very rubbery. The jazz entertainment was very good (highlight of the evening) but then was too loud to hold a conversation.
Food didn’t taste very good, and there was only one person taking care of both the bar and all tables so they were very understaffed
The place looked nice and there was a game that night so it was a bit busy, but something caught our attention. My wife initially thought there was a homeless guy near the kitchen, but turn out he was actually serving the food and he delivered the food we ordered to our table. He was constantly checking inside his pants and it didn't look anything sanitary... not the kind of picture you want to see from the guy serving you food. We made a excuse up and left.
Wow. Not sure why this place has 4.6. We went in there tonight ahead of a show and there were very few people there. We sat ourselves in an empty dining room yet had to go up to the bar to order our drinks, ask for glasses of water, and order our food. Would have been nice if the ONE employee (bartender) told us so. Tried to engage with him but didn't get very far. We ordered the Burrata (MEH), garlic edamame (MEH) and fries (because you can't mess up fries). We were hungry so we ate. The cocktails were very good. Ambiance was SUPER MEH, service was meh and I never write reviews but after spending over $100 for a couple of drinks, 3 small appetizers, we left VERY disappointed. I could go on and on but I'll stop there.
