Opinions de Guido Ristorante Serralunga d'Alba
We went with a flexible 4-course menu, and the two pasta dishes we chose were outstanding. As you’d hope in this region, the quality of the white truffle was exceptional. For dessert, they served a boldly simple, generously sized milk gelato—rich, full-flavored, and it honestly proved how satisfying a “straightforward” dessert can be when it’s done this well. The meat course and the final petits fours weren’t particularly distinctive, but considering the price point, that felt completely fair—and overall it was clearly a very good experience. I can’t speak for other seasons, but based on my visit, I would absolutely recommend Guido during white truffle season.
We had a sincerely excellent lunhc at Guido ristorante- this was one of our favorite restauarnts of our 5 day trip. The plin is the best in all of Piemonte, and the restaurant decor is chic as well as comforting and warm. Great presentation for the fior di latte gelato. Service was spot on, and I can see why they received a MICHELIN star- everything was seamless.
We had a wonderful dinner, the food was excellent, and the service was extraordinary. Emma made us feel at home and we had a great time with her. Grazie mille!
Second time here, but definitely not the last… by far the best ice cream and white truffle pairing. As always, looking forward to next year!
An always extraordinary experience! I had lunch today at Da Guido, and as always, everything was perfect. The place is enchanting, set among the beautiful hills of Serralunga d’Alba, with an atmosphere of genuine elegance and tranquility. Lunch was excellent — from the agnolotti del plin to the egg with white truffle, an unforgettable dish, and finally the wonderful freshly made fior di latte ice cream. A restaurant that truly deserves a stop, both for the outstanding quality of the food and for its beautiful setting and impeccable service.
Our experience at Guido Ristorante was nothing short of exceptional. We were fortunate to secure a last-minute reservation — and what a treat it was. The tasting menu was outstanding: every course beautifully prepared, creative, and full of flavor. The wine pairings were spot-on and absolutely delicious. The service was stellar — attentive, knowledgeable, and warm without being intrusive. The atmosphere in the dining room was lively and full of joy, with the sound of laughter and conversation creating a truly welcoming and heartwarming ambiance. We felt genuinely happy to be there and completely taken care of from start to finish. We would absolutely return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special dining experience.
Don’t miss this gem of a restaurant! The food is fantastic, service is impeccable and everything is included in the price! So many additional courses, of course lots varieties of excellent bread and the wines! Had been overeating on this holiday so tried only the 2 course - but the staff and restaurant made us feel so welcome. Wish we could come more often!
Excellent restaurant in a beautiful old estate that used to belong to the king of Italy. Food was excellent and wines are decently priced . The vitello tonato as a starter was simply amazing. Insider tip: don’t indulge too much on the bread in order to have enough space for the rest.
The food was excellent..the ox tongue was so well done,it melted in your mouth, the home made sour dough bread was to die for..the accolades go on.The service was great.Piero and Ugo were so sweet to oblige taking photos with us too.The pricing for the quality food we got was amazing. To top it off,the venue was an old Italian Royal's cottage home..just perfect!
Third consecutive year, had lunch on Nov 17th. Ugo and Piero manage this sophisticated restaurant with Piedmont touch all around. A bit formal but perfect cuisine led by Ugo and the salon by an omnipresent Piero. Somethings I will leave for life, and here are the Gelatto and the tongue . You can notice that they care about each detail when you have the menu in your hands. Almost a masterpiece . See you next year again
We had a lovely lunch at this restaurant. The atmosphere was very intriguing: at the first glace, not very cosy, however with every dish and interaction with waiters the overall mood immediately changed. Perfectly balanced flavors, simplicity to the perfection, the portions are just right and desert menu is beyond what you would have expected. Highly recommend.
For two nights I come back for dinners and I order even the same dish because they are simply sooooo good. I like very much the quality of food here and the simple but wonderful way of cooking philosophy of Guido. Before I always love the pork or the beef as the main court, yet this time I fall in love with pigant. It is so well done that you don't feel the smell of meat but the fresh and sweet on the palette. The deserts are always my must eat in this restaurant and following the gun tonic, only to shake me up from a very comfortable dinner. Good service, have i emphasis?
We have dined at more than our share of Michelin-starred restaurants. Among the one-stars, this is one of the best we have ever experienced. Great setting….in the former house of Vittorio Emmanuel …
Wonderful experience It was one of the best meals I ever had. The ravioli were to die for and the dessert was sublime. The meat was also extremely good. The service was impeccable

Gracious place, questionable chairs and curtains color. The food is great, the stuff is professional. Just a note for the maitre, he wears the same shoes I use for the gym.
