Such welcoming staff, the BEST service I have ever received. The food was AMAZING, really worth eating here! The setting is also amazing, such a well kept place with great grounds, could not recommended highly enough!

Absolutely amazing dinner at the Peels Pop-Up. Get the wine flights to pair as they were phenomenally well done. I even found a dessert wine I liked, for the first time in a very long time.

@Smoke. Stuart Deeley's Cosy restaurant in the grounds of Hampton Manor. The beef was outstanding. Limited but good menu 😋 Great wine list. Food locally sourced. Recommended.

We ate here as part of the 2 nights staycation package from Hampton Manor. They give you the option to upgrade from 4 to 6 courses - just do it. It is worth the extra £25. What can I say - the dining room was beautiful, staff were excellent, and food were ambitious. Particularly worth mentioning was the "cheese on toast", and the tomato starter - they were practically perfect. The langoustine dish was missing the mark though - it's puff rice were chewy and the buttermilk sauce was under-seasoned. The chocolate & vanilla and the strawberry & cream desserts were both good - but perhaps a bit too similar in its texture and techniques used. Over Peel's sits comfortably in the middle compared to many other Michelin 1 star restaurants in the UK. What makes it stand out are the people - they have heart and passionate about what they do. Not that others don't - but it is something that you feel particularly strongly after staying at the estate for 3 days. Also - they gave a great wine list.

The main event from our weekend stay was not a disappointment, this resturant lived up to and surpassed all our expectations. The food was beautiful, every course given the care and attention that you would expect from a Michelin starred resturant with some lovely little touches as well… a little lamb bacon roll made up from the lamb left overs was a fun and tasty way of getting me ready for my main course as well! Sometimes I fear that fancy restaurants come with a pretence but that wasn’t the case her at all, the atmosphere was special but relaxed and the staff informed but incredibly friendly. The sommelier helped us pick a couple of wines to enjoy as we go and matched things up with the courses perfectly. I’ve shared a few pictures of our meal which I think help to give you an idea but no doubt don’t do it justice! It was a special meal for a special occasion, thanks to everyone who made it such a wonderful evening.

We enjoyed a night at Peel’s s part of a two day stay at Hampton Manor. Really can’t fault the food or the service. Very friendly and attentive with lots of memorable dishes. As a first time, we didn’t have previous visits to compare it to as others have, but compared to any of the best we have enjoyed it was easily up there. They aim to practice farm to table with little mileage, but am sure there is plenty of good lamb closer than Suffolk. With that said though it was so good, i would not quibble that fact. NZ is a lot further away that’s for sure! Anyhow, don’t just take it from me, see also from the other reviews. Peel’s is definitely worth checking out.

Absolutely loved Peels restaurant. The perfect way to finish our stay at Hampton Manor. The food was spot on, I really enjoy tasting menus as you are left in the hands of the chef and this one certainly didn't disappoint.

Absolutely amazing experience. We had the seven course taster menu and were blown away by it. We were treated to a special surprise of being taken into the Tasting Room where we could witness the care and attention which went into preparing our food. All the staff were amazing as well which combined with the delicious food and great wine selections made it a night to be remembered. If you love great food then Peel's is the place to go next!

Incredibly high quality meal in a lovely setting at Hampton Manor. The 7 course taster was superb with highlights being the wagyu beef, wild duck and langoustine courses. The comfort wine flight had a couple of unusual choices but the majority were excellent pairings to the food. Service was also of a high standard.

Great seven course tasting menu and wine flight experience. Normally I don’t like fussy or rich food, I’m more steak and chips, but this was some of the nicest food I’ve ever eaten, and I’ve been to some top restaurants. Couldn’t fault the service at all, spot on. Lovely surroundings. Very enjoyable experience all round.

Set in the beautiful Hampton Manor, Peel's has a luxurious feel. You are sat in the grand Peel's bar prior to your meal with comfy sofas and large ceilings and windows. Here, you are served canapés and are given the menu. You are then taken to the restaurant that overlooks the grounds and lovely trees. The waiters are very friendly and give knowledgeable recommendations for food and wine. The restaurant itself is in an old dining room with original period features, large wooden panelling around the walls and a wood burner. Food was fantastic and the kitchen altered the menu for us at a moment's notice. Waygu beef dripping butter was a highlight. Would definitely return.

I would visit this place quick before they're awarded their first michelin star and the prices go up. I've been to Le Gavroche recently and I rated my food tonight as better in every category. Presentation, flavour, creativity, price. Looking forward to returning to sample their tasting menu and selected wines.

Nose to Tail, evening in the Smoke House. A tasting menu starring a local pig, marks the start of a new venture within the Hampton Manor family. Beautiful food (and paired wines) served in the more relaxed atmosphere of the conservatory.

Phenomenal food, service, location and ambiance. The dishes were creative, well balanced in flavour and texture. Service isn't rushed, but timed just right.

As good as any of the Michelin star restaurants on offer in nearby Birmingham. Fantastic food, accommodating staff and lovely location.

Always enjoying a great meal here with my wife. Service can be a little late by the end of service which is a real shame as everything else is excellent.

We visited for my birthday and ate the 7 course tasting menu. Every dish was sublime. Unfortunately, as the evening progressed the frequency of the service declined. Leaving us waiting longer and longer between courses. This culminated in us being left unattended for 40 minutes after the final course. In the end we gave up on coffee, tracked down a waiter and managed to get the bill.

We have eaten at Peels before and the food was excellent. They served the best honey cake. This time it was overpriced and underwhelming, 6 tiny courses for £110. No real outstanding dish. Really disappointed. Not sure if this is a consequence of covid in costs going up and the quality and quantity going down.

Have eaten at Peels on a number of occasions pre covid. The food, rooms & experience has always been of a Michelin star standard. The last 2 times however have been different. The hotel now offers a staycation bundle deal of rooms, meals and wine. The offer on the face of it is very appealing when you factor in the inclusive Michelin starred tasting menu. Sadly something has had to give, the standards have dropped in favour of volume, the ingredients too have been cheapened with no high ticket items or wow factor on the tasting menu. Dishes have become average, the service also but the cost still a premium. Dishes description is limited upon serving and one dish not explained at all when put down, wine was not poured until asked and both diners left with empty glasses at each course - the love has gone. You can sense its a timing issue before Michelin remove the star from Peels.

Appalled.....a gifted voucher was paid for by my parents for me and my husband to enjoy a five course evening meal here and it was to be used before the end of this year. We booked it for a Friday night in November, organised childcare and even booked a hotel stay to make the most of it. We have just received an email confirming "that our experience has been disabled as Peel's Restaurant at Hampton Manor has changed prices and menus" how is this our problem!?! Surely a voucher should give what it was intended to be for......it's not our fault the menu has changed and is now more expensive! Also, we're now being told we can only book for a Thursday night now as they're fully booked.......but this is months after we originally pre booked our slot. Awful customer service and we're so disappointed as we were thoroughly looking forward to an evening away which is now in the process of being cancelled.

Ok Food and experience but let down by being incorrectly charged for bar bill lost out on nearly 50 pounds for alcohol that we didn't have, which yes we should have checked but trust that when you go to a high calibre restaurant like this you should be charged for what you have and not more! and when you complain that this is acknowledged by at least an apology but nothing no apology and no refund so beware and check your bill carefully if this is a treat but yes no problem if you have money to spare!!

My Wife and I had a evening meal at Peel's and I am afraid to say we were very disappointed the choice was limited and the food was bland we expected more from a Michelin star restaurant with food that tests your senses.
