I always have a good experience at Friendly’s

Christine was our server. Did excellent job with us and our four grandchildren. We all ate all. Food was very good and brought at the table in time. Thank you for the coloring page and crayons. We were all very entertained. Thank you again. 😆

My mother in laws favorite place. Handicap accessible for us and free sundae if you are over 60 with a meal!! We go at least once a month. Food is good, as Friendlys always is!!

I've never been to a hurricane wings before and to be honest it was pretty good my wife has a gluten allergy and they did have gluten free wings so she enjoyed them and I would probably go back again

This establishment is always busy and yet the service is amazing. They have an excellent staff of waitresses. Can't go wrong with any dessert you order.

This is the first time I’ve been in this location but what I’ve seen was amazing, Jackie’s service was out of this world, the food was exactly how I ordered and of course the sundaes tasted just like I remembered, I’d definitely come back here again.

Love that we still have Friendly's near us. The staff is always happy and attentive. Food is hot and fresh, and that new signature wing sauce is so good! Ice cream was great as always.

The new boneless chicken wings are AMAZING, The breading is crunchy and delicious. Pretzel Bark ice cream is still so good and a great go-to! Melanie S provided great service! Will be back

Whoever the breakfast chef was on 3/23/24 you really take pride in your cooking. I haven’t had eggs or any of the sides prepared like this in 20 years of dining out. Im 34. The eggs were cooked to perfection. Not a single dry mark on all of the various egg preps requested. Food came out in 12 mins. Friendlys is severely underestimated in this day and age. Our server Janeen was a blessing. Clear and loving. She went out of her way to ensure my son got a surprise birthday candle the day before his birthday.

Friendly's is still a kid friendly restaurant. Who doesnt like a decent meal and all kinds of sundae and assorted flavor ice creams. Just found out Thursday when you purchase one adult meal, kids eat free. Soup was decent, salad was great and what kid doesnt like chicken fingers and fries. There are other options for your child to choose from. It was fresh and my son loved it. One of the most inexpensive restaurants in town. If you are a family of 4 or more, then it would a great way to have a good meal and save a buck in your bank. We loved it.

The waitress was excellent. She took care of everything that we asked for. And was very friendly.

Walking in the hostess was rude was Shonda full conversation with a friend who was leaving and she completely ignored me and kids until her friend left . Our waitress was a sweetheart very friendly she had a great personality and always had a smile on her face is wish I would have gotten her name again before I left . She told me about joining the awards program which is amazing I will definitely go back to the Shirley location just for her. My kids loved her and let me saw this she had patience of a saint especially waiting for them yo give her there order. She’ made our experience very pleasant

Good service. Good food. One of the cleanest Friendly's I've been in in a long time! Hadn't been to Friendly's in a few years since the one where we used to live closed down. I was a little surprised that the prices went up so much but overall a pretty good value for what you get. We will be back again, and next time we will get ice cream too! 🍨

Did a to go order and the food was ready a minute early when I walked in. It was accurate; food was warm, ice cream was cold. Staff was nice and walked right up to me when I walked in.

This Friendly's is pretty good. The food always comes out accurate. The only problem is with service. And it's not the servers fault. I think the management just has poor communication with staff to have a smoother food service experience. We'll be back.

Took a long while before we were acknowledged by staff and host to be seated. Service was slow but I can understand one guy did the best he could under these circumstances. He was friendly and the food was pretty good. A good place for comfort food or some kind of sandwich.

Pancakes were good, but the eggs were not cooked the way I like them. I asked for well-done scrambled eggs, and the home fires weren't good. My husband liked his double stack burger meal! Next time I will just order pancakes and bacon.

One of the better Friendly's around. Prompt service, nice waitress. We were there late for ice cream, so that probably explains the quick service. Would have rated it 5 stars if our Happy Ending sundaes we're a little bigger, they were pretty small, much smaller than usual. Out of the 3 that were ordered, 1 was the normal size, 2 we're very small.

Friendlys definitely upgraded. I was impressed. The mozzarella sticks were so fresh & cheesy. I haven't been here in a while but would definitely come back after today!

Waitress doubled tip that we left on card. The Friendly’s in Shirley - food was good. It appears the waitress doubled her tip (the tip usually gets posted to the card at and of day separate from bill which is posted immediately). She was young pleasant, light skin, light brown hair with patches of blue and green in her hair. No where near worth a 16 dollar tip.

Sherry the waitresse was awesome. I order a a banana split. When I got home they forgot the Bananas. I live 25 minutes away.,I was very upset.

We waited for about 10 minutes to be addressed and seated while multiple staff members looked at us from a distance. We were about to leave when a friendly waitress came to the rescue. Then everything was great.

Nice restaurant to bring your young children. Free parking, well lit, clean restrooms, kid friendly menu, cheap eats for parents too, friendly staff, very busy on weekends, toy vending machine, delivery, nice breakfast options, very convenient location right on Montauk Hwy., kids eat for $1.99 from the kids menu with paying adult Monday thru Wednesday from 4PM to 10 PM, half price appetizers at 10 PM until closing, create your own meal for about $11, lunch for $5.55, two entrees and one appetizer for $20, and more!!!

Unimpressed! Aside from this being the usual Friendlys chain with reasonable prices and ice cream, who doesn't love ice cream, the tables could have been cleaned a bit better, menus a bit less stickier and we could have done without witnessing the individual serving ice cream from wiping his nose, with gloves on, if that matters. Hey, the bathroom was clean!

Restaurant NOT as clean as it should be, tables. Look liked they are wiped with a wet rag, instead of a proper cleaning between customers, a smell in the place, most likely the rugs, Bathroom clean However. The hand dryer, is anemic, get a new. Powerful one. The place is not as spice and span as it once was, I' m. Sure the place has lost customers. PLEASE, try to turn around before it's closes for good. Thank you, Bob brand

It's was your run of the mill food. The boneless wings were just a nugget barley covered in suace. The burger was plain. The building was worn down. Don't expect to much, just a barley average restaurant.

No surprises here. Grand kids love icecream and burgers. Small sign, so slow down or you will miss it.

Every time i come here the staff seems put out by having to seat us. And when we are finally seated, we are treated to sticky menus, sticky tables, & sticky floors. At least they can't really mess up ice cream...yet.

My family and I were greeted within two minutes. They took my name and how many people in the party. We waited ten minutes to be seated. The server called my name. She asked how many people? I said I was second on the list. Rudely she said, Once again I'm asking, how many people? I should have walked out, but didn't. The food was good. I'll stick with the Riverhead Friendly's.

Food did NOT taste fresh. Coleslaw had a funny taste and was watery. Fries were way to hard and dark. Fish was ok. Ice cream was great.

The service was good, but so.e of the customers weren't following the rules. And the staff and management did nothing. I was very uncomfortable, because I had 4 young children with me.. as an aunt it is my job to keep them safe. And follow the directions.. This business Didn't..

Ice cream was ok. Burgers were painfully greasy. Service was slow. We had 7 empty cups at our table for over 10 minutes. Appetizers came out when our meal was being brought out. I gave 2 stars because they let us use our coupon with their promotional meals that we got. I have to ask, why does it matter if I use a coupon for your ok ice cream if I bought a meal that was part of a promotion and required no coupon. I get not using multiple coupons, but I didn't do that and apparently it was a fuss. I will not.ever be returning.

My husband had to get up and ask the staff not to curse. Food isn't what it used to be, the menu has shrunk since covid. There was a customer acting all erratic, and probably mentally ill but was very confrontational to other customers besides us. We almost got up and left because it wasn't safe to have our children there.

Every time we come it's absolutely freezing in the building. Repeated requests from numerous people make no difference. They're selling ice cream... It should be comfortable, if not warm in building. I was told the workers are hot... So the paying tipping customers should freeze? Tonight, we've been here 40 minutes and still have no food. Kids are cold, hungry and tired. One waiter seems to be trying to remain upbeat and work his butt off. He's communicating with his customers and making the best of the long wait times. We haven't seen our waiter for 20 minutes. No sign of a manager. I would expect the manager to be on the floor during dinner trying to gauge customer vibe. Half the booths are empty. Lots of people waiting. Worker waiter is trying to clean up when he can. Can't wait to see what our meal is like....

My waitress barely came to my table. I had to get up for utensils and napkins. The food was disgusting. Couldn’t even eat it, and the steak was tough. I’m still waiting and the waitress keeps passing us but not taking our plates and hasn’t asked what flavor ice cream we want for our kids meal.

Now in 2025 I went to friendlys with my dad and my mom to eat for dinner. There was no one there. We got our appetizers the minute we ordered it. The fries were raw, the cheese was cold and it tasted like cheese wiz. We ate our food and our drinks came out. We all ordered our food and it came 10 minutes later. I asked for the crispy chicken wrap. God. The lettuce tasted weird and they over loaded it with Honey Mustard... My mom got a salad and it was good. My dad got a wrap too and it tasted off. A minute later they came over with free drink refills. And we thought it was suspicious. We stared as there was no one there. So overall it was a 2. Idk what happened but friendlys used to be a hit.

Ordered some ice cream to go, got home and very disappointed. Ordered a Reece's peanut butter cup sundae and it was the most underwhelming vanilla ice cream with the most minimal amount of peanut butter sauce. Just not something I'd ever suggest spending money on if you have other options

we ordered some ice cream on the internet and we. we got home the amount of ice cream and the money we paid was VERY DISAPPOINTING. We paid 22 dollars for 3 sundaes and the cups were not even filled up. what a waste of money. Will never go here again for ice cream. We were trying to support local businesses during this pandemic going on. I wouldn't recommend take out for anyone to spend the money for the amount of ice cream you get.

This evening as I'm sitting down with my family a young lady comes in for a interview but the lady running the place comes out with a attitude and starts acting crazy at the girl for the interview and then starts yelling at another worker there so the girl that was there to get hired left real quick. Very unprofessional I won't be eating here again

upon receiving my food i had ordered via pickup, i noticed there was no mashed potatoes in my order which i had placed. no big deal, just wanted to call them back and let them know they forgot something and to just shave it off the bill. WASNT SO EASY! i called 3 times and guess what?? NO ANSWER!!! this is especially annoying to know that there were a total of two customers in the whole god damn restaurant! how do i know this????? because i went in to pickup my order with my ever so breathtaking soon to be wedded wife and we GINGERLY OBSERVED the restaurant. (food was luke warm as well)

Been to friendlys 1000 times before but this experience was horrible. Water tasted like salt and dish soap, all condiments came in to go containers and tasted off. A $14 "munchie mania" came with 12 mini motz sticks and a tiny quesadilla. Needless to say but they really need new management badly.

Well I came in with the girls lacrosse team tonight asked If I could be seated away from them as giving my daughter some room to hang out with her team. I stood at the front stand as another team came in behind me. Immediately they were seated by the server and I was still standing. I then asked the manager (who is usually a server)if someone was seating me? She then proceeded to tell me I could seat myself. I then asked her well can I have a menu and utensils please. Shame I had to seat myself snd ask for these things. Now I'm seated here 10 mins no one came to check to see if I was ready to order a drink or anything. A waitress with glasses heaveyset short hair walked right passed me twice. Still seated with no drink order put in a couple comes in. The waitress that walked passed me twice went right to them and asked if she could get them anything to drink right away. I then had to get up to find someone to even be my waitress. Nice waitress came to me named Melanie and finally my drink order was taking. I sat for another 15mins as I watched others come in and get their orders right away. Finally!! my turn to order. Ordered my food sat around for another 10mins watching tons of couples coming in later than me getting their meals and drinks. I only ordered a Philly and fries. I literally walked around and was the last person to recieve their food after being one of the 1st people there. I have been boycotting Friendly's since the teens workers were caught having sex right on the tables and booth a few years back!! I felt very uncomfortable being a black woman at this Friendly's. Never again will I come to this one! However kudos to Melanie and Ashley for being amazing servers!!

This establishment is supposed to be a family friendly ,child friendly safe environment. The treatment given to children is unacceptable. A group of children come in who forget masks and leave the building to get mask and return are then disrespected and talked to in a nasty way the whole time they are present in the restaurant ….they are talked badly about by the staff and pointed at in a disrespectful manor. Fix your staff, treat the children better!!!

Went here with the little ones . I didn’t expect the food to be so salty . The kids didn’t want to eat and at that point it was pointless. It seems they didnt taste or measure the seasoning ..

Oh god where to start , we ordered take out and got there 10 minutes after calling . Looked at our food and had burnt bacon on the burger , a burnt bun on my sandwich , the clams felt completely undercooked they were so mushy , the lemon that’s supposed to be on the side for clams they put it inside the box so the lemon was so hot it was basically melted and was nasty you’re supposed to put the lemon in a little container like the ketchup . Besides all of this the portions are x2 smaller when you order take out vs sitting there and eating but I’m still paying the same amount . I’m still paying $35 for s**t , garbage food that I refused to even feed to my dog . We called back and told them everything and they made our food the next day and still completely screwed it up the burger was plain just cheese and add bacon which I paid for the extra bacon and they gave it to us with lettuce tomato and condiments on it and NO bacon , the bun on the sandwich was still burnt and the clams were still soggy . TAKE NOTE when they made our food the second time we were in the car on our way there calling them for 10 mins and they didn’t answer when we finally got there the manager was outside on his cell phone talking and all the employees were sitting at tables eating so we ended up having to re order when we got there which means nothing should be mushy or nasty and they still failed . Just take your money and go to Applebee’s across the street at least they never make bad food . I guess if you don’t mind you or your children eating garbage then go here .

The food was decent but the eggs tasted like nothing the only good part of my meal was the bacon, someone sitting with me’s order was messed up, it was a tight small table space and I moved my arm a bit, some random menu from their non cleaning, tilted over and spilled my uncles beverage, the bathroom urinal almost flooded and was messy and had a bad oder, I can tell why only old clueless people desperately looking for food come here

My wife and I went to contain our sweet tooth attack and decided to go to Friendly's in Shirley on Montauk hwy. We got seated and handed 2 dirty plastic menus. Then we waited and waited and waited for a server to take our order. Lol fat chance, it never happened. So we got up and left that hole in a wall called "Friendly's".. Never ever again.

Very expensive!! Paid 50 bucks for a burnt crispy chicken sandwich, a few split onion rings you could not bite through, and 8 bucks for chocolate shake that was mostly whip cream. Now for my wife’s food. Smash burger dry and French fries limp but brown. Not done? IDK. Her chocolate shake was better. Seri/map/yelp menu no pricing listed. Hmm🤔

If I could put zero stars I would. First off, when we went inside to get seated, we waited 15 minutes and we had like 10 families behind us waiting to get seated as well, the place was not packed at all. There were only like three tables. Everyone would just pass by us standing there and not help us. Then when they FINALLY sat us down. We ordered and it took an HOUR to get us our simple orders which were chicken tenders for kids and salad for me. Again, the place was not packed when we ordered so I have no idea why they took forever. Then we ordered ice cream to go because they were taking too long to do everything and we didn’t wanna wait another hour for ice cream. They gave us all wrong orders and everything was literally a soupy mess. We ate the ice cream in the car, in the friendly parking lot so impossible for it to melt just by walking out from the restaurant to the car. All in all a mess. Would NEVER return. EVER. should’ve gone to McDonald’s.

I went to eat with my family because of my son's graduation, and it was a terrible experience. We arrived first and they preferred to leave us for last. My son's food was brought cold after waiting for more than 25 minutes. While other people were attended and they arrived later.

This is what you call a BLT... 2 slices of bacon on each end of the bread.... and an hour wait... i would be embarrassed serving this to someone!

Haven’t been here in years - and regret trying them again. Went Saturday night after being on the road for 12 hours and walked into the lobby with one couple in front of us. The girl eventually seated the couple and proceeded to walk past us three more times with no acknowledgement. Eventually another girl came from around the counter to take our to-go order. She was very nice - but whoever made the 3 sundaes got them wrong. Figured we would try again today, Monday, and placed an online ice cream order. They got it wrong again - although the receipt on the bag was correct as to what was ordered. Just disappointing as living out of state now we can’t get Friendly’s and really look forward to it when we come “home”.

Took my two kids to friendly, the hostness/waitress was completely inattentive and rude. The way she wore to us was condescending. From the look at it, we were only set of brown people in the establishment. Perhaps she doesn't like colored folks. I will never ever come back here ever again. Do better !!! It's 2025. She was much polite and smiling with the other table with the light skinned folks. Her name is Doreen!

I very rarely write reviews and I realize this is just friendlys but I think this location can benefit from employee training. Putting the super long wait for everything aside, the attitude of some of the staff seriously needs improving. I’ve never had a waitress deliberately put her down while passing my table and give an attitude or a grunt with every request. I had to literally ask two other waitresses to bring us silverware or our ice cream that we waited 30 minutes for. If you’re trying to get more customers this is not the way to do it. I won’t be returning.

Server's attitude was absolutely appalling! Came in on 4/24/2025 around 6:30. Took an unusual amount of time to seat us but ok we were seated. Server came over and took our drink and food order. Drinks came out food shortly after. Minor mix up with our order no big deal. As we were coming to an end we asked for happy ending sundaes to go. We waited a long time for our bill to come and it took an extremely long time for her to bring our sundaes. When she came back with our change she literally put it on the table without stopping and kept walking. She didn't give me a chance to say thank you here's your tip. I waited a minute to see if I can see her and decided to go wait at the hostess podium. It again took an unusual amount of time before I was acknowledged. I ask one server if I could see my server so I could tip her. She continued to do whatever she was doing. Another server came out from the back and I asked to see my server and that I wanted to tip her. She said just leave it on the table with an attitude.I said I really do not feel comfortable leaving cash on the table. My server finally came out I had said to her I tried to tip you but you ran away from my table. She said I had to go put in drink orders with a sarcastic attitude. Me being very annoyed with her response and me being extremely patient with the way the entire visit went I said I should have left you nothing as I was leaving through the vestibule door. She then proceeded to follow me Chuck the money at me through the vestibule door while my dinner companion tried to keep her from coming any closer to me due to the fact my dinner companion wasn't sure if she was going to become aggressive. She then proceeded to go into the dining area where multiple families with toddlers and other young children were sitting and was insulting me out loud as I was leaving through the main front door. I will be sure to make sure all of my friends and family members are aware of this situation and I would highly suggest to them too never come to this location!

I ordered a meal worth almost $100 for my family tonight Through DoorDash When I ordered an all American cheeseburger, it was wrapped in foil Since when do they wrap cheeseburgers? It literally tasted disgusting I’m not sure it was because it was Wrapped!?? He said like they just threw it in the microwave If I ordered an adult meal Why am I getting a wrapped cheeseburger with fries on the side like I’m getting McDonald’s or something…. It tastes nowhere near what it used to. I will never crave this again. I promise that. YUCK also, also, I ordered sauce on the side and ended up with sauce all over my bag. Thank you. Last time I will order anything from here

My kids love Mr Beast so I ordered it. I get it and here Mt Beast is operated out of Friendly’s and is an Uber special so can’t pick it up. When I got the food it was disgusting and part of the burgers were RAW!!!! The burgers were nothing like they were supposed to be. The fries looked microwaved and tasted under cooked. It literally looks like they put the burger on the grill for a a minute or so on each side and then put it in the bun before it was even cooked. On top of it all, Uber didn’t even refund the order. They had to send it to a special department because the meat was undercooked. So now I may never got my money back because of what happened. This is a disgrace, and I hope everybody stays away from Friendly’s. I wish I could give it a negative star.
