Probably the best bakery chain that there is. Consistant taste, reasonable prices, and the desserts aren't overly sweet. The people working at this location were especially nice.

Dont listen to Adolf, Cleary something wrong since his review is straight villainous and wrong, seriously look at it man's pathetically trying to do something here anyway... this is Hands down the best bakery in Simi valley and it's not even close. The baked items are outstanding, so delicious. The drinks are very good, definitely a cut above Starbucks. While these are all great the real surprising thing is how affordable it is, holy wow. They have soft opening hours from 10am to 4pm and no matter what time you arrive it's packed with little to no food left, I think they now understand how badly Simi valley needs them. Looking forward to the grand opening.

Everything I've tried here has been awesome. From the drinks to the pastries to the cakes. Long lines with only one cash register open are a downside but the food is worth the wait. The matcha bun is amazing!

Well, to satisfy your sweet tooth, 85*C Bakery Café is perfecto! And there's a plentiful variety to choose from. My choices are the little cream yellow cake filled pastry, as well as the small coconut delights, they fit perfectly in the palms of your hands, and they are absolutely delicious! Highly recommend this place! 10/10.

Dry good place. Had first tried this in Irvine. Am extremely glad such good bakeries are coming to Simi valley. Any dish can be tried. All are good. And they are extremely budget friendly.

We've been waiting for this bakery to open... finally. Freshly baked pastries are really good, the cakes and the coffee too! We don't have to drive going to the valley to get our pastries. Thanks for opening in the 805!!!

The store is still not completely functional as they just had a soft opening. The bakery items especially the breads get sold out quickly by noon. So if you plan to visit this location now, go before 12 pm or visit after the grand opening which is on 20th October 2023.

First time at this location, SO happy I don't have to drive to the valley when I want a sweetie from 85. It was a Wednesday, so the selection around 6pm was scarce, although it allowed me to try a few I normally don't get or tried before. I REALLY liked the new Coconut sweet bread they had this time and I love the sea salt coffee with coffee jelly. The best pastries, always fresh and cakes are beautiful and perfectly presented. The staff today were super nice and helpful and the barista made really good drinks!

Also the black forest cake is so good! It's super light and tasty! I would also recommend the smoothies. I got the spoiled taro, and I loved the flavor. Can't wait to go back and try more!

To the left you can order a drink to go and in the center of the bakery are the refrigerated cake desserts. The staff members are friendly and helpful. My friend and I have certain dietary restrictions and the gentleman at the counter was knowledgeable and able to assist us in knowing what to get! Prices are reasonable and it was an overall great experience! Will definitely be back

A friend bought me a cake from there for my birthday (chocolate mousse cake) that was superb! I decided to go and check things out for myself. It's a new store so it's extremely clean and well maintained. The young ladies who helped behind the counter were so nice. I have to say the cookies are yum, and the bread delish. It's definitely a different kind of bakery, but I will be back again for sure!

Very cute bakery, love that I can see them baking the breads. I will have to come back to try some different menu items. Staff was a little slow and disorganised when it came to coffee. I am lactose intolerant, my drink was made mistakenly with milk. Luckily, the staff realised before I drank any of it, and it was re made for me.

Seems that I usually come during the weekend, which gets busy, and the bread selection gets low toward the mid-afternoon. Most of the puddings and cream type breads are gone. Everyone working there seems friendly.

I just visted the bakery, the Vanilla Latta was actually really good, but they would not take my reward from their 85 Cafe app. Also refuse to take Amex, for a somewhat fancy bakery you should take all CCs.

If I could give a zero for service or even a minus. I walked in on a Monday afternoon not a single person was in line there was maybe two people sitting at the tables two people were behind the counter where the coffee area is seeming to just talk to each other and kind of clean up at least the girl was looking like she was cleaning the guy was just standing there nobody greeted me when I walked in I sat next to the case for a good 7 minutes until I walk to the register nobody offered to help me finally when I walk to the register and stood there for a minute the guy came over very unwelcoming rude demeanor not friendly at all looked like I was actually bothering him by coming in mind you this is my very first time entering this establishment. I got really excited initially because it's like a mini Porto's local to us and I was pretty happy except they didn't have exactly what I was looking for but that's fine I was willing to try out something new from them. The gentleman was super rude when I was asking him if they had that specific item he was like no it's just whatever is here but with a rude demeanor me being the problem because I came in. I have two young children I wasn't in a rush I was actually happy to be there until this unfriendly guy was helping me. On the receipt it says the name James hopefully that's his name and hopefully he can change his attitude for other customers because he definitely doesn't make me want to come back to this place I'd much rather drive to the Northridge Porto's then this and it's right down the street from my house I love good customer service I don't care how good the product is I'm not saying there's is any thing special just the looks of it was beautiful but the taste is mediocre even with that I would totally come back if the service was nice friendly and a welcoming environment I did not get that at all from this place

Sharing details of my experience in hopes that it will help management help their team a little bit. I know this is a newer location so maybe they just need a bit of coaching. My first visit was great. Everything was perfect. But my last three interactions with the shop have not been great. For my second visit, I placed a pick up order. When I arrived at the shop, I told the girl at the cashier stand that I was there to pick up an order and asked if it would be at the same window where everyone picks up their drinks. All she said to me was, “I don’t know. Let me go get my Manager because I just don’t know.” The Manager came out and helped me and said that they didn’t have my order because their system was down. She asked the teams to make my order shortly after but it took a very long time. My drink came out first, I then asked the barista if the food would come out at the same window. He didn’t know what I was talking about when I told him that the manager talked to the team about preparing the order that didn’t make it through. Even though the Manager told me the team was preparing the food, they never did and she actually ended up having to go to the back to pack it up herself. It ended up being like a half an hour visit for a pick up order. My third time interacting was through a delivery with Door Dash. I ordered a drink and four buns. When the order arrived, there was a drink and one bun; not even half my order. I asked the Door Dasher about it and he said that he verified everything was in the bag with the store before leaving the store. Had to then call and get a refund. This morning, I called the store to see if they had buns in stock. I was told “no we don’t have those out right now and I don’t know when the bakers plan on making those today.” She really didn’t care to ask when they would be ready or anything. Just kind of lacked effort completely. I love 85 but after 3 unpleasant interactions, I don’t think I’ll be back. Best of luck to the store though.

We brought three items in total, the cashier ( a young female) added one more item ( maple danish $3.95) charge on our credit card. She was hesitated giving us the receipt. We didn’t notice it till getting back home. Be sure to check the receipt before leaving store! Thanks for you response. We did go to this link and filled the form there when we found out.

My partner and I go to this place a lot. The first time I got the fresh strawberry milk tea I fell in love with it and enjoyed every sip. That became my must get order ever since, but they managed to mess it up after the first time somehow. The order is supposed to come with fresh strawberry pieces but I literally had to ask for it. Even though they charged more for that, they hesitate to put them in the cup. Once one of the baristas said that they are not chopped and that’s why I didn’t put them in, so the other person ended up chopping them. The next time even when I noticed there’s no strawberries, they told me that there is but there were not. I don’t think I will come here anymore, my drinks orders had some kind of problem each time.

They have changed their hours to 8am from 7, not terrible, maybe they adjusted to needs. But then they randomly close for "in store training" and post nothing about it except a note on the door. This location is run very poorly.

Every time I come to Simi Valley 85 bakery the shelves are empty in the morning. Get there at 7 AM. Empty midday empty afternoon empty evening empty it’s annoying. Another place that has management that ruins a location it’s OK though I had to drive to Northridge to a proper 85 bakery
