Wanted to try something new in the area and stumbled upon this place for dinner. Overall it was great as there was a huge menu on the wall and the place was well decorated with lanterns with sakura trees. It’s a place where you would come to for something quick. I dined-in since traveling with a bowl of hot udon isn’t ideal. Service was great! I ordered the Udon with Tempura Shrimp and asked the person at the cashier what they recommend as an appetizer and he stated that the Potstickers were a usual go-to which is what I got. The price for the udon was fairly priced, but maybe not for the potstickers. However, I do understand the economy so it’s reasonable, I guess… The udon noodles were nicely textured and had 2 pieces of narutomaki (maybe not enough in my opinion). Wasn’t sure what the other things in the udon was but it melted quick. The tempura shrimp are similar to the ones I get at Costco. I believe I was 75% full after eating that complete meal which is a good percentage.

SUUUPER YUMMY FOOD. I went there for the first time a bit ago and they had a huge menu of things to choose from. I usually order a Beef california bowl and the meat is so tasy idk what they use as a sauce but its really good. i also got a miso soup which was alright. I was hoping for the little green leaves that come with it but it didn't come with them. Though it makes sense since its only 2 dollars and the cup is actually a decent size for the price. I think some items a teeny bit overpriced (im a broke college student so maybe im being cheap) but i think its worth it the food taste so homemade. 10/10 do recommend!
Chicken bowls and chicken mango/avocado salad is amazing !!! The homemade dressing is delicious!!! Oh and the potstickers are delish !! 😋 been coming here for 2 years, im never disappointed. Fresh food all the timeeee!
Food is so delicious and the price was so cheap for the amount! I got the chicken teriyaki bowl and it was 7 dollars and 75 cents not including tax. The bowl was packed to the brim and for less than 10 dollars, the food was so good and really filling.

I have been going here for over 15 years and the food is as good as the first time I tried it. The Spicy Tuna bowl is my favorite although I enjoy the Teriyaki Chicken bowls too. One of the only places that have not raised their prices during these tougher times. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

Japanese food is not cheap. Especially good Japanese food. This is good food, but given the format of the restaurant, I was hoping it would be cheaper. The price was great for my girlfriend, but I found that the portions were too small for me and that I had to order multiple items to satisfy myself.

I've been the lone sushi fan in our home for years, but I finally convinced my wife to try the Mexico City Roll and now she asks to come here to eat. Talk about me being a happy camper, sushi no longer has to be my guilty pleasure, I can share it with the love of my life. Our son is very picky, but he loves the Chicken Katsu here, and that means the entire family can eat together and get what they want. We love this location. Great Teriyaki, sushi, and appetizers; even the Miso soup is yummy. As a matter of fact we have yet to be disappointed eating here at California Bowl; keep up the great work please.
I have been eating here for over a decade. The food is good and they have some good sized rolls. Their prices are reasonable if just a little high for some of their special rolls but all in all for the quantity of food you get it really is worth it. One and a half rolls usually fill me up. They have a reasonably large menu to choose from so even people who do not like Sushi will find something good to eat such as Teriyaki, Katsu, Udon, Yakisoba, and Ramen plus an assortment of salads (seaweed, garden, etc..) and the usual Japanese appetizer fare (gyoza, spring rolls, edamame, tofu, etc...). This place is fast and I get my food to go on my way home from work for a quick dinner. The rolls are usually ready in about 5 minutes. Cooked dishes can take longer. The interior is spartan with no frills, good for a quick meal if you do want to eat in but not a lot of ambiance. Again, better as a take out place. 4 stars instead of 5 just because I generally reserve 5 stars for places that really wow me, it's less about them and more about my grading scale. The food is excellent, the restaurant is clean and the service is quick.

The cashier, the big fellow.... he's not welcoming or friendly. At times he's rude and passive aggressive. Never smiles and sometimes when he brings the food to the table he walks away in the middle of you asking him for something. It's a shame, the food is great but he ruins the experience !
A coworker and I decided to try this restaurant for lunch. I’ve walked past many times before, but have never seen anyone go in. When we walked inside i was as surprised to see it was almost full of people. They have a large menu with a lot of choices. The prices are decent. Unfortunately, the quality and taste of the food wasn’t as good as I’d hoped. It was along the lines of a Panda Express, but with Japanese Food, and not quite as tasty. However, the staff was friendly, and if you’re not overly picky about your meal, and looking for a good deal, then you might give them a try.

today made cashier/owner im guessing made my son's cry. He yelled at my son because he got 2 closed to his laptop that he had in the dining area for customers. Mind you my son didn't even touch his laptop. He was extremely rude and aggressive towards my three-year-old. Who is just showing me what sushi roll He wanted as he got too close to the table with all the stuff, spall out. Never going back again. There's way better sushi spots anyways

I Was treated like “why are you here!!” “Leave”. The cashier guy didn't even stop to listen when I said I want to dine inside. He handed the take away food and left? . I asked for Napkins. I was told why you want more!!! I gave you some in the plastic. This is not how you treat your clients. Absolutely not recommended

I love curry rice but this was probably the worst I've had unfortunately. Had a lot of coworkers tell me this place was amazing. I'd be willing to try another menu item at a later date. If you're going for curry don't come here. Staff was super nice and the place was clean.
