What a cute place located in an unexpected location. There's patio seating which can get quite busy even when dine in seating was allowed. The staff are all friendly and personable. No matter what you order on their menu, its all delicious and flavorful. The Cadillac Margarita isn't bad either!

I love their food. Great patio for date night for margaritas and tacos.

I stopped by to pick up a meal a beef burrito and it was phenomenal it was extremely large the food is fantastic there and all the employees are extremely professional

I had an excellent enchilada plate. They were short staffed but still kept up with being very busy. I didn't have to wait to order. And has an authentic cantina atmosphere.

El Patio "north" is a Simi Valley classic. As of September '24 they're under construction expanding their patio so look forward to even larger accommodations in the near future. Pro tip: avoid 2-3pm when the middle school up the street let's out. Lots of student shenanigans and parental traffic in the parking lot.

Amazing mexican food. Salsa was flavorful. Experienced the chili Colorado, which was not disappointing. Dining in the outdoor patio is a must. Outside bar and big screens too. A must if you have not experienced this specific restaurant location. Could not comment on their other locations.

This is one of my favorites! They had music last night and the DJ would like to do it every Friday. I personally think it's a great idea. All the people and families were having so much fun, I think if we all request this from the owner they will give this DJ a chance and we'll have great music to dance to.

Always consistently good for at least 20 years....so no big deal. Absolutely fantastic food and service.

I was hot and tired after golfing in 100+ degree temperatures. It's was before opening but they let my friend and I come in anyway. They were very kind. The food and drinks were great. I had a beef dish and my friend had a large quesadilla. The guacamole was excellent and the salsa was pretty good, better than most. It was a nice lunch. I'll be back.

This is the best. Mexican food. Anywhere. El patio has been and always will be my favorite restaurant in the world! And honestly, they have amazing flavors. I now live in San Diego where we're known for having legit Mexican food, but nothing compares to El Patio. Seriously. This place should be Michelin rated.

It’s not going to win any awards, but the price is right, the plates are hot, and the margaritas aren’t too watered down. Kids are welcome and the patio, appropriately, is a centerpoint. I had the Chile Verde plate with flour tortillas. I’d like it to be a bit spicier, but understand we’re in Simi Valley, not Oaxaca.

Some of my family and I went for my son's 10th birthday beginning of February. El-patio had heaters outdoors for the customers ,and one young gentleman was moving them around accordingly. I had the street tacos, carnitas. Other than waiting a bit to have a hostess show up at the hostess desk, everything else was wonderful. Very attentive. Food came out extremely fast. Server was quick with fulfilling requests for sweetener and napkins.

Came here with some coworkers for drinks and dinner. Service was gracious and accommodating to our table that grew from 3 to 8 over the evening. Food was solidly good, but not my favorite in town. We enjoyed the spacious patio with a positive vibe. Would go again.

Waiters only helped the larger parties surrounding our table and completely ignored us. We waited at least 20 minutes for help while watching other tables be offered refills and service so we just asked for the check to leave. Very disappointing. The food here is below average. You can get better and cheaper Mexican food elsewhere in Simi. I'm rating it 4 stars because it's a local fave and the service is great. I go because of the convenience but definitely not for the food.

Yummy food, nice patio. Service was totally fine I'm not sure why yelp had such bad reviews. We had a nice dinner on the heated patio. Only 4 stars because it seemed expensive for the quality, such as we could tortillas were just regular warmed up grocery store tortillas for tacos.

I’m giving 5 on service for an important reason: there was a problem with our order - it doesn’t matter what - & they took proper immediate steps to fix the issue. That’s pretty awesome.

First time there to visit family and we were very pleased overall. Salsa was good as it didn't taste like it came from a can. Food was good staff was nice and accommodating.

Great spot to chill for chips and salsa with an ice cold Le Hefe🍹. And it's dog friendly ❤️

The food is okay. Not bad, not great. They seem to cater to the American Palette here. Which is the majority of their customers. So, I can't blame them but as a Mexican, I would not recommend this place. At least not for delicious Mexican food. Plus, their Customer Service needs a lot of work. Employees seem to be rather pushy and don't give an F until the bill comes and they expect a Nice Tip. F that!!!

Nice atmosphere. Enchiladas were kinda bland. They don't do table side guacamole which I prefer so I can make sure it's not spicy. Service is good. Deep fried ice cream is good

Went to meet two friends. First time. Horrible service, had to ask for a waiter, had to ask to be served cocktails? Had to ask for menus.had to ask to be served. Had to ask for silverware. The service crew acted like they had no idea what was happening. Waiter came to table dripping in sweat on his face. Flustered. Yuck. Asked about a few menu items .. he had no clue how to answer. Ordered two margaritas came 20 minutes later. Finally was able to place food order 2 Shrimp burrito with vegetables. Came with a burrito filled with can shrimp and onions. NO VEGETABLES and a small amount of rice. Had to order a side of rice. Also ordered Shrimp fajitas .. brought beans rice and tortilla out and was told we have to wait 7 minutes for actual shrimp fajitas. End of story. Never go back.

The restaurant is in a good location, staff members are nice, but the food is ALWAYS greasy & oily! I have ordered a variety of dishes, over the last 6 months, to give this place a fair chance. But, EVERYTHING I order is always dripping with the orange grease, oil, and is tasteless!! I really recommend to the Owner, that they get a new cook! This is slop food, with fatty meats!!
