From the greeting at the door to apps and dinner everything was fantastic! Katherine was amazing and made the best espresso martinis. Food is excellent. Clam casino dip, whipped goat cheese and that’s just to start! 10 out of 10 recommend!

Rigby was an awesome bartender and made the most amazing dirty martini, one of the best I’ve ever had. The atmosphere was fun but not too loud. Short rib crostini and Caesar salad were incredible.

We loved it! The fish tacos were so delicious.. My hubs had the lobster roll with bacon. We will be back for sure!! Our server Nevari was so great. She recommend the best mocktail. Get the tart and stormy! Great new addition to the neighborhood. ❤️

So cute! Lucked out with an earlier sitting in the back room upstairs all to ourselves for almost the first half of our dining. Our server Kalista(sp?) was so bubbly, soft, and sweet. She always made sure we were taken care of. Even though the dining space did eventually fill, it never felt too loud. We got an alcohol cocktail and they were able to make a mocktail version of the same one for my partner who doesn’t drink! Such a nice accommodation! We’ll be back again!

Excellent new restaurant! We went on opening night and it was packed. We had a nice table in the dining area upstairs. The atmosphere was great, nice color combinations that gave off a nice marine feel. Even though it was packed, it wasn't too loud. The service was exceptional, the staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was excellent and was served in a timely manner. I can see this place quickly becoming a staple in the area. We will definitely be returning and will be looking forward to dining out on the deck when the weather is warmer.

From the moment we entered the restaurant we felt very welcome. The manager greeted us at the door, accommodating our seating request. We were then greeted very pleasantly by our waitress Trinity who was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Our food came out perfect and in a very timely manner. Trinity made sure we had everything we needed and checked on use a few times throughout our meal. She noticed when we were ready for our bill. Our experience was very positive that we will be recommending this restaurant to others and we will be back.

Tuesday night was my first time going to this place and I 1000000% recommend it!! My boyfriend and I were headed down to the URI men's basketball game when I had the idea to go here for dinner because it's been on my list ever since they opened and we were going to be right in the area! Let me tell you... that was an amazing idea on my part :) I am so glad we went! Food was out of this world (I'm not even a seafood person and they have MANY options for picky eaters like me (lol). The atmosphere was 5/5 easily!! Beautiful inside and out, not loud- perfect noise level and I did not feel on top of other customers like I do in some places… The service was fantastic and our server GG was very attentive and made sure we had a great experience! We will definitely be back!

Birch and bay, hhhmmmm, have visited on 4 different occasions with different company. Super consistent and every single thing we ordered was amazing! My husband and I literally watched the manager continuously pointing out to the staff who looked like they needed assistance. The food was delicious from every angle. The drinks were delightful and fresh. Cannot say enough about the attentive staff❤️ We cannot wait to go back!

This was my first time visiting the restaurant and let me tell you it was amazing. The environment was welcoming and they had a great selection of food. Our server Lilly was exceptional and was very knowledgeable on the menu. Will definitely be coming back, especially for dessert.

What an incredible surprise The manager John was next level hospitality! Every server and bartender and runner were happy and energetic people getting stuff done efficiently. Food was also amazing! The Clams Casino dip is a must. Everything else we ordered was delicious and expertly prepared.

This is such a great new addition to Main Street in Wakefield. You absolutely have to try it. The atmosphere is amazing. The staff is super friendly and it’s a great place to go out during the week or on the weekend and have a good time. We will definitely be back many times. Rigby the bartender makes the best seasonal sangria.

Very nice addition to the Wakefield restaurant scene. The fried green tomatoes are worth a visit all by themselves. The rest of the menu is excellent as well. Friendly servers. Stylish dining rooms. The rooftop deck should be very popular in warmer weather.

This restaurant far exceeded my expectations. We sat upstairs which has a beautiful setup with fireplace and Big TV. My wife and I both had the Short Rib dinner, which was absolutely incredible. Our server Erin was great and even laughed at my bad joke when I asked for a Captain’s Brother beer

This fresh new Wakefield downtown restaurant is an up and comer. Clam casino app is exquisite, Clam Chowder was full flavored with succulent clams, and spices. The fish and Chips are #1 far and away a solid meal. John the Gm, Bella the Bartender ans Kalista couldn't have been more welcoming. Don't miss this new addition to the South Kingston dining scene. There 6 other restaurants are worth the visit as well, dedication toward execution at its finest. Enjoy! RJC

We went on opening night and therefore expected the kinks to still be getting worked out. Everything was flawless! The food was delicious! I highly recommend the Clams Casino dip! And the atmosphere was fun, laid back and friendly! Can’t wait to go back!!

Huge upgrade to a former under-utilized spot. So great to have them here. Staff is amazing. Great vibes and food is decent. Great area on the roof that should be GREAT this summer.

Outstanding dining experience. Pleasantly surprised at the changes to the space and the quality of the menu, service and food! Now there needs to be a fare rewards program for the 6 outstanding restaurants. Michaela was an outstanding bartender!

The pecan crusted Salmon was cooked perfectly; the fish tacos were great; the service at the bar was excellent. Definitely a great choice. Be sure and make a reservation to get a table!

Kylie was our server and was excellent and prompt, friendly. John the owner stopped to check on us.Food was excellent…. Short rib dinner for me and salmon for my date. We shall return for sure!

Visited Birch and Bay with some girlfriends for dinner and loved the space! The food was great and service was spot on. Can’t wait for the warm weather so we can come back and enjoy the beautiful roof deck!

We stopped in for dinner after I had a friend tell me about the place. We started with cocktails (espresso martini and fig spritz) which were very good. The clams casino dip was excellent as were the lobster rolls we had for dinner. I ordered the BLT lobster roll which pleased my palate immensely! Tyler was our server and he was pleasant, friendly and provided excellent service. We sat upstairs where the decor and ambiance added to our night. I am eager to return before the summer crowds arrive. Thank you so much!

I've been here twice now, once for appetizers, and again for NYE dinner, and had a fantastic experience both times. The food was great - unique menu items and lots of specials. Drinks were also very good, and our server was knowledgeable and attentive. The inside is very inviting, and we loved the upstairs area. Would highly recommend the clams casino dip! Looking forward to the rooftop deck this summer.

My son and I were craving burgers for lunch and wanted to try a new place, so we ended up at the Birch & Bay. I ordered the FGT Burger, which had fried green tomatoes and bacon. He ordered the Fig & Prosciutto Burger, which had fig jam and prosciutto on it. We ordered them both medium rare. We cut them in half and shared. They were both cooked perfectly and the brioche buns were both fresh and delicious. Both burgers were very flavorful. The fried green tomatoes as a topping are amazing! The fig jam and prosciutto are great together. The burgers were both great and satisfied our cravings. We are picky about our burgers though and would have given them 5 stars ( instead of 4) if the patty's were hand made. The decor is beachy and the bathroom was nice and clean. The staff was prompt and pleasant. We look forward to going back and trying other things on the menu.

The Belgian Apple waffle was delicious as was the Eggs Benedict. The home fries needed something else. Maybe cooked with sautéd onions. The decor was very nice for the location as it was bright and blue. Nice addition to the town.

Food and service are great. The noise level in the upstairs dining room is unacceptable. More sound dampening should be considered.

We came for an impromptu lunch. Our food was excellent! My partner fully enjoyed their fish tacos and I was equally pleased with my sweet corn salmon salad. The portions are generous and the flavors complex and delicious. Service was good, our waiter was very task oriented, not warm and fuzzy but efficient. The restaurant is noisy, lacking materials to absorb sound. Despite that minor setback we both were impressed and will return.

Great service. Overall the food was OK; it worked for a last minute decision but this isn't necessarily a place we would plan to go out to given the many other great spots nearby. Perhaps for drinks. We really appreciated that the kids fish sticks were house-made rather than from frozen.

I was so excited to come eat here for the first time as I’ve been to the sister restaurants so I had high hopes. I previously ate at Phil’s & knew they had an accessible entrance so I used my wheelchair but as I got to the door it was blocked and had an arrow to one step. I was for sure bummed as the accessibility is gone now. Limited seating on the main floor as a large bar is there. No elevator and large steps to get to the upstairs. Fish taco was ok, I loved the toasted tortilla and melted cheese on it. Restaurant itself is absolutely stunning inside. Waitress Savannah was a doll.

It’s alright for a tavern. Food was luke warm the grilled cheese wasn’t melted together, the sourdough was just sliced bread, and the fries were from frozen. Whipped goat cheese was actually very good though! There’s much better places to eat downtown, but it will probably attract tourist In response to the reply: a soft opening can excuse poor service and operational kinks but it does not excuse poor ingredients

Limited vegetarian options. Recommending a patron to order and pay for a salad that automatically comes with meat, then hold the meat, does not count as vegetarian friendly.

Pros: Nice atmosphere. Friendly waitress and host. Four of us went for brunch. Meh food. Not bad but not great. Cons: The meals were served on wooden charcuterie style platters. No liner papers were used. The wood was scored with knife cuts/etching. I question how sanitary these serving pieces are, or will become after regular use/cleanings. This last one is just a personal pet peeve. The coffee served in (small) glass cups. I drink my coffee black but coffee is still always lukewarm at best in this type of vessel. I wish them well. I won’t rush back….perhaps a visit in warmer weather for a drink and an app.

1st time there. Was recommended came from Johnston, appetizers were awesome. The food was cold, fish tacos were over cooked and hard. Pasta was ok luke warm. Burger was good. Prices were too high for the food we had . Understaffed !!!! Waited 20 minutes for drinks, when asked she said we only have 1 bartender. Obviously not enough cooks either. Sorry but wouldn't rush back.

Hoping for such good things but was disappointed! First served incorrect dish, therefore having to wait for second entry. Chicken was tough, sauce over powering and on top of that would only show old sports on the Bar TV! Really??? Baseball in December??

The cocktails were not good. I’m expecting some kind of a craft cocktail (cosmo and flannel bee were not good - sent them back) The burger and fries were good.
