Bill's Restaurant & Bar - Southampton

Really enjoyed our breakfast at Bill's. Their big breakfast isn't as big, but was definitely delicious and hence I was able to completely polish it off. They even changed the egg to match my preference. The bacon, baked beans, eggs, mushrooms, and sausages were cooked to perfection. The black pudding however was not my favourite. Their jam and toast martini with vodka was one of my favourite things all day. Definitely try this if you visit.

My first time coming to bills & I will definitely be coming back, we were seated straight away, the waitresses Katie & Molly were so sweet and are very good at what they do and although it was busy, I didn’t feel rushed when ordering, they both were very smiley and they both made our experience here better, and the food came out quick & was cooked perfectly (+these were probably the best chips I’ve ever had) & the buttermilk chicken burger was so good. The service, food & atmosphere were all amazing & can’t wait to come back next time!

We were Christmas shopping at wanted to stop for a bite to eat. They were packed but there was room outside. They had blankets and heaters so we got to enjoy eating outside at Christmas. We had the pigs in blankets as a shared starter. Then I had the ribs and my wife had the steak. Food was all good and the Christmas Cocktail choices were great. What elevates the experience was our waiter Ibaad. He was pleasant, calming and handled our requirements with no fuss. Definitely worth a lunch there.

My partner and I visited Friday, late morning, for brunch. It was our first visit to Bills and we were really impressed. The friendly welcome was followed up by fabulous service from our server Beannie. Throughout our visit she was on hand to explain the menu options, offer extras and refills etc. The food was fresh, well presented and really nice. Excellent value for money! During the visit I asked Beannie about the coeliac options, for future reference, she was very knowledgeable without making me feel a burden or uncomfortable for asking. The whole visit was really fun and relaxing exactly what we’d hoped for! We will be back Thank you! 🤩

We booked at Bill's Southampton for our Christmas lunch and our group were on 2 tables. Our waitress Jagoda was amazing throughout and managed us all effortlessly. Everyone was so impressed, that we'll be coming back again soon 😀

What a little gem! Our team at the Moxie hotel recommended this place to us. It had a really cute, eclectic atmosphere and great food. And our server Rebecca was a gem as well! We had the chicken schnitzel and the duck curry, which was just the right amount of spicy! Don’t miss this great little spot!

A must to visit!!! Bills Southampton is amazing… from the food to the service and atmosphere all tick the boxes… will definitely be returning their Mac and cheese and corn ribs are to die for… staff are lovely and friendly and nothing is too much trouble… it was our wedding anniversary and we got a dessert on the house which was a lovely touching thing to do… we also received our meal but no drinks ( although we did have water) and when we said we were waiting for a drink they couldn’t get us ours drinks quick enough and took them off the bill which was not necessary but nice to show they appreciate their customer service.. burgers are amazing all round thoroughly enjoyed our visit and a wonderful start to our holiday

We had a lovely birthday breakfast for my daughter. All of the staff were super friendly , ( we were served by Elliott) the food was amazing!! All in a lovely setting , and cosy atmosphere. Definitely recommend and will definitely be back!!! 😊

Food was really lovely, our waitress Jagoda was extremely pleasant and helpful. Arrives at 1pm (booked) for 7 of us to be told at 140 we had 20 mins as the table was booked. Definitely not Jagodas fault and she was extremely apologetic.

We came to Bill’s for my husbands birthday. We had a warm welcome and the food was lovely. Katie our server was very kind, and couldn’t help us more. Nothing was too much trouble! Thank you for the surprise rendition of happy birthday too!!!

Had a lovely meal at Bills yesterday with my family. Was served by Katie, she was very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. The order was taken quickly and efficiently and my allergy status was asked prior. Katie had good knowledge of the menu and was able to recommend some items. Will definitely return when back in Southampton.

Jogoda provided truly exceptional customer service. From the moment we were seated, she was attentive, friendly, and professional. She anticipated our needs, checked in at just the right times, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our meal. Her positive attitude and genuine care made the experience even more enjoyable. Jogoda is a real asset to the team, and her service turned a great meal into an outstanding one. Highly recommended!

Came here for Valentine’s. The steak was cooked to perfection, the service was great and Joely was particularly attentive. She’s a massive credit to the place. What a fab night- we hope to return soon.

We had a lovely lunch here yesterday. Food was great (Chicken Burger and Chicken Schnitzel) and drinks were delicious (the Rhubarb & Ginger Sour in particular). Service was wonderful, Bea in particular was great - warm, friendly and helpful. We'll definitely return.

Shared a lovely brunch with the family today. Everyone was very happy with their choice of meal & juices. Great to have food served on hot plates too. Elliott had a polite and friendly manner, smiling all the time, which made our experience a very positive one. Thank you.

I'm not a local to Southampton but was hungry and decided to come here after having bad experiences elsewhere. I was served by Amelia who was really reassuring and helpful after telling her I was pregnant. The food came piping hot which was great and The dirty vegan burger was filling. Definitely would recommend and wish service was like this in all places.

We had the most delicious meal at Bill's today. Our waitress Katie was first class. Such a lovely person and very attentive but without being needy or overly fussy. We highly recommend coming here. Five stars from us

I just had a fantastic meal that really blew me away! The food was top-notch and everything was spot on from cleanliness to the atmosphere. The service was friendly and attentive, making it a lovely experience. I did have some confusion about the Blue Light discount and birthday wine, but it didn’t ruin the meal. Overall, I can't wait to come back—such a great place to celebrate!

Had a great breakfast and overall experience today at Bills, West Quay. Fantastic food, super warm service and very attentive. Our waitresses Jagoda and Katie were awesome and couldn't do enough for us. We took our dog Dudley with us, and was delighted to find they are not only dog friendly but have a menu just for pooches!! Amazing. Thank you Jagoda (Blueberry) and Katie. You really really went above and beyond. Highly recommend hence the all round 5 star rating. Will certainly be going back.

We had a wonderful time at Bill’s for lumch. We started with the Santa Sharer which had a great variety of festive food- especially the deep roasted Brussels Sprouts with festive dips. This was followed by a perfectly cooked steak with bearnaise sauce. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. A special shout-out to Kaitlyn who gave us outstanding service throughout—friendly, attentive, and welcoming and the bartender, Jonathan. Highly recommend Bills and its Christmas menu.

Place is brilliant. Really enjoyed our visit. The food was great, everyone was happy with there order. Food came out in a good time. Waiters and waitresses were all decent.

Jack was amazing! After telling him I had coeliac disease he went through the menu with me and made me feel so at ease. Will definitely come back✨

Went to Bills qith my partner last week, on arrival inarantly felt good about the place. Our waitress was a friendly young lady named Katie. She has a very extwnaive knowledge of the menu and was able to recommed. Thr food waa served quickly and was nice and hot. Will definetly recommend to friends and family.

I have just visited bills again for another fantastic visit! On arriving we were greeted by warm smiles! We had a dog with us that was given a dog biscuit. Our waitress for the evening was Amelia and she was absolutely incredible! Food was delivered quickly and tasted amazing. Amelia made the experience a good one. I will 100% be coming back and wish service was like this everywhere else!

My partner and I were welcomed in and show are seat, we were then greeted by Molly who was polite and very well mannered, she took our drink orders and asked about allergies. Following this we were welcomed by Katie who took our food orders both members of staff made us feel very welcome they came with a really positive attitude and made our visit very enjoyable would definitely recommend this place because as well as the staff being very nice the food was phenomenal as well and was not too expensive the wait time wasn't long and the quantity and quality was delicious. Will defiantly come back

Joely and Johnathan were superb! Customer service above and beyond. You can tell when people really enjoy their job, and all staff we came into contact with were super friendly and welcoming. A real credit to your organisation! Food was awesome, but the experience was made by the really lovey team! Easy 5 stars! 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Food was absolutely amazing, as always. Was craving their chicken shawarma and boy did they deliver. Absolutely outstanding. And our server, Joely. Absolute legend. Lovely birthday meal at Bill’s last night. Fabulous food, generous portions and fab wine too. I had a Thai Green Curry and Jac had the veggie baked Aubergine, both delicious. Thanks so much Molly and Joely for looking after us and making the evening so special for us, the birthday brownie with candle was really very much appreciated ❤️. We will be back! Our time today was fantastic and memorable. Food was of fantastic quality and the service was equally attentive and friendly. Our server Molly was a wonderful presence and really made our trip enjoyable. Keep up the great work to all the staff :)

My daughter and I visited Bills Southampton for breakfast before a very long journey, and left very happy! The food was fantastic (she had the 5-stack of pancakes with banana and Biscoff; I had the berry porridge), and our server Amelia was absolutely lovely - a real gem. We'd be back next weekend if we lived anywhere close!

Me and my partner came to Bills without a booking on clearly a very busy morning. Bethany said if we were happy to wait she would get us sorted and she did despite clearly being busy with other tables. Breakfast was incredible and topped off with some of the best bloody Mary’s we’ve had yet. Bethany was a proper legend for getting us a table , we really appreciate what she did for us. We were served by Amelia who was so friendly and so lovely. It genuinely changed our experience to have such an authentically friendly chatty waitress. Nothing was too much trouble and she added to our experience

Overall, today's (August 2025) meal was good but there was room for improvement. My wife asked for her eggs to be lightly poached (runny). We both later said we noticed the waitress didn't write that down and when the dish arrived, the eggs were solid. The waitress was friendly and efficient. I disliked the 12.5% service charge, although it was optional. My burger was cooked to perfection and I liked the rosemary salted fries.

We went to Bills for their bottomless pancakes deal, which honestly was well worth the money. And we had the absolutely wonderful server Jagoda. She was attentive, polite and friendly. The food was lovely, but a little slow arriving. However Jagoda made the atmosphere really enjoyable for us. We would definitely go here again, and maybe try some other bits off the menu too.

Bill’s has always been a favourite of ours, never had an issue with anything, we called ahead for a table so no waiting on a busy Saturday, service was good, Ryan was polite and gave us space to decide what we wanted. The food didn’t take long to come but for some reason it’s was a long way from warm, both the corn ribs and the crispy duck fries were cold , the wife cheese and bacon burger was great as were my mini sausages, when Ryan asked if everything was ok we said it wasn’t, and he was very apologetic and offer us a bill reduction for the cold items, which was good but it really shouldn’t have happened. Don’t know what happened in the kitchen but it’s made us think about where to eat when we next visit to town.

Now as a big fan of Bills its sad i had to downgrade my vote. Today I took my new partner into Bills for the first time. She loved it. Food was good maybe i had impressed on her my love for the place. Why the low service score? We walk in we have not booked the waitress looks around a neae empty room and says you have not booked so you will have to sit at the high chairs at the front bar area. Of couse i understand if youre busy at xmas period i get that. But the place remained empty. At one point the staff got a laptop out and utilised to desks while a few staff chatted... we ate the meal and finished. Place still mostly clear... at some point maybe i should have demanded we move but the staff had made such a deal out of the original pick... im not sure i have the words to say as this annoyed me a lot.. so food great. Place is great. Service while introducing my new partner low... but she kept her smile.
