What a gem. Service was amazing and the food was the best tasting Mexican food I have had in years. Nobody at our table didn't like the meal they got. Our only complaint is they ran out of fried ice cream. Brisket Tacos, Manzanillo, Tamales, and Brisket Chile Relleno all fantastic. Can't wait to come again next time we are in the area.
Had a large group for lunch - called ahead and they were able to fit us in. The service was excellent - cups rarely less than half full. Food was fabulous - we all had a wide variety and nothing disappointed. Recommend them highly.
We've eaten here many times. Always an abundance of excellent prepared delicious food. Great service. Haven't had to wait to be seated even though it's a popular place probably because of the ample patio seating. Love the fajitas, Carne asada, shrimp appetizer and salads!
We LOVE Cristina's! Landon is an excellent server. He was quick, kind, and excellent at his work. Always checked in at the right time and anticipated our needs. Walter is also an amazing GM. He walks around and checks in, remembering customers and assisting where needed. Thank you all for an amazing experience at all our visits, whether we dine in or carry out!!
Went to lunch here on a Tuesday was really good, it really surprised me. Prices are good especially for the amount of food that was given. I had gotten the beef fajitas on the lunch menu and it felt more like a dinner.
Came here for my birthday for the first time and it didnt disappoint. Has a really good mexican vibe to it. The server was really good wish I had remembered his name. The food was amazing, real authentic mexican food. Will be back!
Dinner with a small family group and it was excellent. I chose a healthy option but the vegetables could have been cooked a little longer however, the lemon pepper tilapia was the best I have ever had. I usually choose their nachos but am so glad that I went for something different. Lovely restaurant with top notch staff.
This was the best place ever! We were driving home from a funeral and had to stop and eat. We weren't familiar with the area but Google maps shows Cristina's was near so we decided to go there. We were so glad we did! The food was simply amazing! Mary was our waitress and was very helpful in our decision of what to get. I've been craving their food ever since!! It was clean, very friendly, and the food was made from scratch! You won't be disappointed if you go here. Ask for Mary to be your waitress. She's a sweetheart☺️
Fresh, flavorful and creative menu. We loved the thin, crispy nacho chip and great salsa. You can taste the ingredients. Server was very attentive to our table. Great outdoor seating too. We'll be back.
Food was great but the wait staff come over every 30 seconds to check on you. Felt very rushed.
Really good food every time I’ve gone. Nothing out of the ordinary but a good staple restaurant for Mexican food. Plenty size portions. I like the enchilada platter. I want to try their fajitas soon. The salsa is really good.
Food is always great but I highly recommend the soups! Daughter's favorite is the street tacos plate.
Cristina's is a classy place to gather together with family or even a date night. The service is always very good and the food is prepared quickly , at the table hot and is delicious. We also love the chips and salsa. Not too spicy. I would highly recommend Cristina's if you are looking for great Tex-Mex food with a good atmosphere.
The service was first rate and the food was great. We went after of my sisters' retirement gathering at her work. The nine of us were seated promptly and our server was very attentive without hovering.
Wonderful place for some delicious Tex-Mex! Great service from an attentive staff. The chicken enchilada with green sauce was very good as were the crispy beef tacos. Can't wait to go back, when I am on that side of the Metroplex.
Have been coming to Cristina's for years and it never disappoints. Service is typically top-notch and food is very tasty! And can I just say that the prices they charge for quality food is amazing! Keep up the good work!
We love Cristina’s. We eat here regularly. Love their shrimp filled spicy shrimp cocktail. Even even come just to have the chips and salsa, a frothy brew and one of their outstanding shrimp cocktails. The rest of their menu is just as good. Love the service and atmosphere.
Smelled amazing when I walked in and their food has a wonderful flavor.
I had the lunch fajitas, nice portion for the price. I wouldn't say that they were any different than most Mexican restaurants but they're spicy salsa is awesome and their regular salsa tasted just like my aunts homemade salsa (so fresh!) My waitress was very attentive and all of the servers checked in with me as they passed by just to make sure I had everything I needed.
I came here from MA to visit my sister. I love Mexican food and I went here yesterday and sat out on the covered outside patio area ( which was beautiful). The manager/owner greeted us, which was nice to see and the staff were wonderful. The food, especially their beef and queso cheese was so GOOD and their top shelf margarita was yummy. I would definitely go back here and recommend this place. Thank you for a great experience!
4/11/21 - First time eating here. Fabulous service and food was phenomenal. Ordered the Guacamole appetizer, the Sangria swirl margarita with The Cancun. Everything was very fresh and the service was superior. Excellent ---- highly recommended!
Everything was really good! First time here and will be back. Lupe, out server was and is the Best! Thank you Lupe. Billy and Cameron
My husband and I went to the Southlake location. We were immediately greeted by the host and seated at our table. Our server was there in a few minutes and took our order for drinks and later our food. We both had the taco salad. So good! Our server checked on us often and made sure we had drinks refilled as needed. I would definitely recommend this facility.
The Christina's is Southlake stands out from the other ones I have been to. My wife believes the food is better and the atmosphere is better. I also talked to the assistant manager and he is a wonderful person. I don't know why in a chain one is better than the other but the one in Southlake stands out.
Great restaurant. They must take care of their staff cause it's been the same people ever since we started going here. Food is great and probably the best home made tortillas this side of Heaven. They have always treated us good so it's worth the drive from Grand Prairie.
Beautiful restaurant, great service, delicious food. Loved the tableside guacamole! Dining at lunch, I ordered the brisket taco and chicken enchilada, so good! Great flavor and lots of meat. Constant refills on chips, tea, and soda.
I've been twice thus far. Everyone from the front door to the bar and manager are always extremely helpful, professional, and friendly. The food is served so quickly and delicious!
I love their tortilla soup and their brisket tacos...and their light crispy chips and fresh salsa. They have amazing patio atmosphere all year round (or lovely indoor seating of you prefer). Their service is top notch and their prices are great. This is the first place I take friends or guests. Did I mention their tortilla soup....I crave it, especially when I am feeling under the weather (you can order it to go!). I have to eat gluten free and I have had all great experiences eating at Christina's.
We had a large group, separate checks & our waitress was wonderful. Staff is attentive, helpful, & cheerful. Food is large portions & tasty. Needless to say, we all enjoyed our time.
Great service! Great food! The blackberry mint margarita was excellent
Very beautiful restaurant and excellent service. The food was good but more on the bland size I had Chicken Enchilada and cheese enchilada lunch combo with rice and beans. Food was not spicy, one enchilada was like a nacho cheese type flavor. The other more sour cream based but both mild. Salsa delicious.
A Decent Dining Experience at Christina's Fine Mexican Restaurant I visited Christina's Fine Mexican Restaurant on December 30th with friends, opting for the fish tacos in a corn tortilla. While the dish was good, it didn't quite reach the level of amazement found in some other places I've tried. However, the skinny margarita I ordered was a standout, delivering an amazing burst of flavor. The serving sizes are generous, making it ideal for sharing if you're not a big eater. Chips and salsa are served while you wait for your order, adding a nice touch to the dining experience. Parking was hassle-free, and the attentive servers contributed positively to the overall enjoyment of the meal.
Dependably delicious food and good service at all of the Christina’s locations that I have been to.
Food was good, the salsa was great. We had a large party, Alfonso was our server and did an amazing job!
The food here is so flavorful!! They use bacon in their Refried Beans and I use chips to shovel the food Staff has always been top notch and helpful as well as the restaurant it is very clean! My wife and I go every chance we can and it’s a MUST HAVE!! Do yourself a flavor (wink) and TREAT yourself and enjoy some solid food!!
Love it. We go here on special occasions or sometimes just because. The exterior of the restaurant is attractive and inviting, with plenty of parking, no potholes, and clearly marked spaces. The interior is beautiful and perfectly provides a feel of Mexican deliciousness. The service was spectacular, but the reason we go is for the most delectable food. The intriguing options on the menu do not disappoint. The flavors are unmatched by competitors. We will always be back.
I visited here while out in Texas. Great little place. We all enjoyed the food and drinks. The staff was accommodating.
One of our favorite places for Mexican food. Consistently good quality food and service. Love the thin chips and salsa.
They have the best red salsa around. It's not spicy at all, but it has tons of delicious flavor. The beers are cold and every plate I've tried is delicious. You can't go wrong here unless you're someone that needs Mexican food to be spicy.
Visited for a catering order pick up. The team was friendly, timely, helpful and so courteous. Bartender makes a phenomenal top shelf margarita and the customer service is beyond reproach. We WILL be back anytime we are in town!!!
From the time we came in, we were sat immediately. Our server came and gave us great service. Then the star of the show. The FOOD! IT WAS SO GOOD. All 5 of us loved our dishes and would recommend anyone to come here and eat. Can't wait to come back and eat. La comida está bien deliciosa. Se lo recomiendo a todos que vengan a comer.
This Cristina's is on point! Made me wish I was a regular and not just in town for work. Fast, friendly, excellent staff! Food was top notch, fresh and tasty! I'll be back for sure.
Thank you, the atmosphere was beautiful and peaceful. Walking in to this and sitting us down with such politeness. The waitress Miss Lupe was amazing, she made our day even more blessed. Thank you for the mini snacks of Sopaipillas for our road trip back to Midland TX. The manager is also such a great person. Keep the Christian music playing. Be blessed and see you soon again. 😊
We had an enjoyable dining experience. We were a large group out on the patio that accommodated us well. Food, drinks, and service from Mario were excellent. Manager Leah prepared the evening without a hitch. Thank you Cristina’s for a fun night out.
My husband and I are frequent patrons of Cristina’s because it is consistently delicious. The complementary chips, salsa, and black bean dip are so good. The staff are attentive and food comes out quick. We love the queso and veggie tacos. Margaritas are also perfect. Yum!
Such a great experience - def recommend their steak fajitas and the fiesta platter 10/10 experience! Jorge, the manager here was phenomenal - it totally makes sense why his staff took great care of us. Shoutout to our server Rosie and Bartender Byron. Jorge and his staff made us feel like family. We will definitely be coming back!
This is one of the best Mexican restaurants around DFW. One of the few that sell chimichangas. They have quick access to 114, a decent amount of parking, and a lot of character. It doesn't get ridiculously full on Saturdays, but it does on Sundays. So plan ahead. They have my favorite salsa to go with chips. It's next to cook children (hospital for kids). So go and try it out.
Had the beef fajita special. Food came out really quickly. They had to be cooking ahead but it was fresh and hot so no issue there. Seemed like the beef was cooked on the griddle it didn't have any grill marks or distinctive grill flavor, it was a little bland. Service was good.
Had a great meal! Was served in a timely manner. Got their lunch taco and enchilada, my kids got the bean burritos they were good. Sweet tea was perfect. Definitely coming back soon! 👍
The food here is average. Not bad, not knock your socks off. The drinks are good, service is always good and we enjoy the atmosphere. It's a repeat place for us both as a family and as a couple.
Its a good place to go to. Tasty for sure.
This place has the absolute worst customer service but has delicious food. Been multiple times I’ve gone now takes forever to get a drink, then food, don’t even worry about asking for a refill cause they won’t come back. Really frustrating cause I love the food.they do not care. Fast forward about 3.5 months we go back cause the patio was inviting and Myra is the best long curly hair. Best waitress at any place so please keep her!
We had forgotten how amazing the food is at Cristina's. Every bite is an explosion of delightful flavor. The wood smoke in the beans is genius. We were also amazed at how poor the service was. We were there for lunch at 1:30 pm and the restaurant was only moderately busy. We were seated promptly and the sevice was great until we got our food. It came out really quick, but that was the last we saw of our server. We had finished eating and sat for 15 min before we could get anyone's attention. When we did get a check, I dropped my card on it quickly, but the waiter tried to run away again. Lunch shouldn't be an all day commitment.
Nice place, waitress was overwhelmed with her tables. Food was good...
Foods great! Been coming here since they've opened. I love the food here, especially the garlic tilapia! I also adore the salsa, I'm obsessed with it. Every server I've met has been so kind and friendly. All that aside, I am quite disappointed and sad they've changed their look completely. The atmosphere is now cold and no longer givers that warm Mexican sensation I have come to love. The colors and decor feel dead and off-putting, so much so I don't feel comfortable eating inside anymore. Because of this I might not return to dine in, I'll perhaps come to pick up a cup of salsa or a "to-go" order but I don't think I'll be coming in anymore. The atmosphere just puts off my appetite.
Very nice restaurant ambiance when you walk in. You're immediately brought warmed chips, salsa & a black bean dip which had excellent flavor. We both ordered the Platillo Yucatan plate. Enjoyed every bite. I suggest getting your Tex-Mex fix here at Christina's in Southlake. Yum😋
For years we went to the Christina‘s in Southlake. We always really liked it. Have tried the Christina‘s in this north Fort Worth location a couple times now, and again last night, and can’t say I was impressed. Although our waitress was so sweet, and I had a wonderful visit with a friend I had not seen in some time, the food was basically a disappointment. The portions are definitely pretty small compared to what I remember in Southlake and just not a lot of taste in anything we had. Nothing was really bad. But nothing was really good, if you know what I mean. Their salsa is actually pretty tasteless and unfortunately the queso had the same issue. It just doesn’t seem like they are using very much spice on anything and actually the fact that the queso never thickens when it gets cold let’s me know there is actually no real cheese in it. Pretty sure it was Rico’s brand cheese sauce or similar, which in that case is just marked up ridiculously. I really hate to leave negative reviews. Especially when I really enjoyed the night, and atmosphere of the establishment. Unfortunately a restaurants biggest appeal for me is the food quality and flavor, and a sweet waitress and nice atmosphere can’t mask the fact that the food is just mediocre.
Very nice, but very slow/unattentivr service. Food was good but nothing extraordinary. Cocktails were delicious.
I had the Biria tacos. They were okay, I would have enjoyed them more with Oaxaca cheese (instead of jack) and a crispier outside. For $16 for 3 tacos, I expected better flavor.
Excellent service. Reasonable prices. My party loved their meals; my meal was ok. Soft corn taco fell apart and required eating with a fork. Taco chicken was in big chunks requiring separation by fork. Enchiladas were ok but both were covered with too much sauce.
This was my sixth or so time to eat at this location. The hostess was friendly, the waitress and other staff provided acceptable service, and the food tasted good. My only complaint was the food temperature. It was just barely warm. I like my food to be delivered piping hot—I don't mind having to blow on it before taking a bite. I didn't send it back for a warm-up, but if it happens again, I will. If the food had been hot, I would have given four stars (I rarely give a restaurant five stars).
We visit Cristina’s restaurant for years but lately we’d noticed couple of key points that could help the restaurant stay on top of the chain instead of dropping its charms. We noticed the lack of customer service with some of the staff on a slow day, the African American manager comes to our table and asked if everything was fine, he stretched his hand and makes a gesture to give him the plates, we have no problem doing that but he can just grab them instead of asking the customers to grab it for him. We also noticed that the staff was eating right next to us, two ladies came to our table took out drink order broad our drinks and left, 10 to 15 minutes later, another waiter comes over and asked if we were helped we said yes at this point we do not know who our server is, finally the male server assisted us but only to leave us without checking on drinks the entire time, we were to the point of getting up to demand more Iced tea, we always let Roberto take care of us but, he wasn’t there this time and what a difference.
I like Trophy Club location much better than this one (Southlake). Food is same but I didn't like service as better as their Trophy Club location. This was not the first time when we had below average service at this location. Our server didn't checked us about food or anything we need after she served the food. Our order had missing items which they served after asking only.
First time visiting this place for an early dinner. We ordered the carne asada with shrimp. Chips, bean dip, and salsa were all good! Music was good with a variety different types of latin music. Received our plates and struggled to finish the carne asada . Something about the consistency of the meat was not good. Others in our party agreed the carne seemed a low quality. Nonetheless, I spoke with the manager and was very attentive and listened to our concerns. He definitely tried to make it right and appreciate his efforts. I feel this place deserves another chance so we will try again in the future, just not the carne asada with shrimp.
The food quality was good. The presentation was concerning to me as I violently gag when biting into an onion and guess what they decided to shower my tamales with? Onions! I wasn’t asked if I wanted them or not and no it’s not in the description. I had to meticulously pick each one out.
We visited the Southlake location for a quick casual lunch on a Saturday two weeks ago while out running errands. Simple order of chicken fajitas for two, a bowl of queso, 2 iced teas, and churros. We were seated immediately, and had chips/salsa immediately as well. We ordered quickly. Everyone was polite, and professional, but the amount of food was far less than other TexMex establishments in the area for a lesser price point. Everything was delicious, but again, simple fajitas - not a specialty entree. We would likely choose another restaurant just due to this fact. I felt it overpriced. There was no shortage of vegetables on the fajita pan (sauteed onions, whole green onions, and whole jalapeño peppers), but little meat as compared to other restaurants in the area. Service was great, food was good, but just not worth the upcharge for less food in our opinion.
Door dashed it in. Tortilla soup and beef fajitas. Some one forgot my Pepsi but food was lame. 1/4 cup soup, not even a lime slice. Tastes sour. Fajita meat was plentiful but meat smelled spoiled. Onions hard. Salsa watered down. The water stood on top. I think restaurants give door dash orders the left overs. Because the food can not be sent back. I don't think I'll ever try again.
These people have ZERO clue, DO NOT order take out— they could give a rip. Spent $60 on food, including queso and guacamole and not a single chip… REALLY? What are you supposed to do with a bowl or queso and an appetizer of Guacamole??? Called and the said they were too busy to do anything about it…. Good luck with that, Animia’s actually pays attention to details.
I’ll give it a 2 star because the food was great, but the service sucks. I rarely checked on. Ask for Sweet tea and got unsweetened. Finish that one, my waitress I don’t know she was busy but the I guess manager ask if I wanted more tea and then he brought unsweetened tea. Overall the food was good but once again the service sucks.
Service and food have gone down incredibly at this location. Service was slow. Food was cold and horrible. Cristinas is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in Southlake but we will not be returning. It’s sad to say if the poor service continues it won’t be long until they are no longer!!
Priscilla our waitress caressed my daughters back and caused such an uncomfortable atmosphere that we could not finish our food. We informed manager and you would think he’d give us a new waitress but NO! We will never be back.
I was sad to hear that our favorite restaurant has terminated our favorite server, Roberto. Roberto always took excellent care of us when we visited. He knew us by name, knew what we ordered and always was extremely attentive to our table, even if he had many other tables. We found out that he was fired because the other servers were complaining about him getting so many people requesting him because of his excellent service. This is completely ridiculous. We had stopped other times on days when he was not working and the service was absolutely terrible. One time, we went by and the waiter got our order completely wrong, didn't check in on our table that often and needed obvious training on how to become a better server. Christina's - I am completely disappointed in your actions with Roberto and am sad to say that we probably won't be eating here almost weekly like we had been before. I am glad that we found Roberto working at Esparza's in Grapevine on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & Weekends and at Mi Cocina in Southlake on Wednesdays (for those of you that want to continue supporting Roberto). Both places also have "Fine Mexican Food" and now they have Roberto to provide Excellent Service! Your Loss, Christina's!
Unfortunately, if you want quality service this is not the place. My husband and I went to this restaurant the waitress came and ask for our drink order one beer and a water with lemon which she forgot then came back and said oh, I forgot your lemons. She never came back to take our order nor the lemon for my water. 15 minutes sitting in the booth and nothing. We got up paid for the beer and left. Will NOT be back! Horrible service and unfriendly workers here.
Chips are nasty- not even edible. Should have been a sign. Also only have Pepsi products. We ordered beef tacos & grilled chicken, and both got food poisoning. So so sick. Do not eat here! In times where cleanliness is at it’s highest standard, food should not be making people this sick. Don’t do it.
I have been coming to this location for over 10 years. My experience today was absolutely horrible. I mean keeping water in our cups was a struggle when we were sat on the patio in 102 degree weather. It took about 45 mins for them to come out and take our order-and also had to go find management and ask what’s taking so long. The lady manager always had more of an excuse on how she couldn’t help us over showing decent customer service and making our frustrating experience a little easier. People come from all over the country to experience restaurants in Southlake, Texas. The level of expectation as far as class was at an all time low and an embarrassment to the city of Southlake. Today was my last trip to this location
DO NOT RECOMMEND! We walked in, the host had a look on his face that made me think he didn’t even want to be there (didn’t greet us, just stared until I spoke). After being seated, I thanked him. He just walked off. Our waitress came, it was okay to start off. Then, I found a hair in my food. I brought it to her attention. Her only response was “ oh no” and she walked off. The manager was nice. She did apologize and I understand in a situation like that, there’s not a ton that can be said to rectify the situation. She immediately offered to remove entree from my bill. She did also offer another entree or complimentary dessert. We opted out. The server brought the check and walked off. 18 minutes later, she walked by to pick up the check and my card. Literally didn’t stop at the table. We were one of her only 2 MAYBE 3 tables. Her only response any time we said “ thank you” was “ YEP”. We love this restaurant but that pretty much ruined it. There are other options.
Ok I have never had a waitress ask me to change her tip because she didnt like what we gave her , me and my husband took our three grandchildren to enjoy a Mexican food for lunch , the service was absolutely horrible and never came to check up on our table, we had to constantly ask other waiters to fill our drinks unfortunately our waitress was behind the double white doors never seen her come out , when we were ready to check out and needed boxes to go and drinks to go she was nowhere to be found so we ask the guy that was cleaning tables to get our waitress it took her about 10 -15 mins , so we basically basic her service and attitude upon her tip , but we were going to still give her a good tip but not until she told us that we needed to choose one of the category of the three tips and we couldn’t give her any less then that ! So we decided to give her what we thought she deserved upon her services it was super disrespectful and ungrateful, we will not return,
The food was blah. The meat is clearly purchased frozen even though the "manager" says it wasn't. The apple pie was still frozen. Really just a disappointing meal. We did mention it to the server who just sent the "manager" to our table.. Useless. She did look to see if we tipped though.
I’m not sure how this place received so many stars for their food. I should have known when I walked in there and it was empty that it would not be good. I also should have known it would not be good when the only Latin people were me and the workers. I know this place is Tex-Mex, but it was disappointing. The cheese dip tasted like velveeta. When my bf ordered the carne asada, they didn’t ask how he preferred his steak cooked. My bf could tell that the steak was previously frozen. My meal was okay, greasy. It’s just not good quality food. The drinks were meh. Good customer service. This review is purely on the food itself. If you want good Tex-Mex, you won’t find it here, nor will you find it in Southlake.
This was our go to location but not anymore. Service has gotten so bad. Had to remind server 3 times just to get water. Never checked on us. When we ordered churros, it came without ice cream. If they didn’t have ice cream they could’ve told in before hand so we should’ve ordered something else. But definitely I will avoid this location.
